We study collider phenomenology of the so-called 331 model with $SU(3)_C\otimes SU(3)_L\otimes U(1)_X$ gauge structure at the large hadron collider, including single and double Higgs boson productions, Higgs boson rare decay, $Z^\prime$ boson production, new charged gauge boson pair production, and heavy quark pair production. We discuss all the possible collider signatures of new particle productions. Four benchmark 331 models, $β=\pm \sqrt{3}$ and $β=\pm 1/\sqrt{3}$, are studied in this work.
It is a challenge for the theoretical particle physicists to perform the phenomenology of the Beyond Standard Model (BSM) theories using advanced simulations which can mimic the experimental environment at the colliders as closely as possible. In collider phenomenology jet substructure is a concept that is used frequently to analyse the properties of the jets, characterised as a cluster of hadrons, which is often the end result of particle collisions at the colliders, such as Large Hadron Collider (LHC). A vast literature on jet substructure exists both from the theory and experimental point o…
We discuss the phenomenology of a minimal model for GeV-scale Majorana dark matter (DM) coupled to the standard model lepton sector via a charged scalar singlet. The theoretical framework extends the Standard Model by two $SU(2)_L$ singlets: one charged Higgs boson and a singlet right-handed fermion. The latter plays the role of the DM candidate. We show that there is an anti-correlation between the spin-independent DM-Nucleus scattering cross-section ($σ_{\rm SI}$) and the DM relic density. We suggest a scenario that can be tested in both electron-electron and electron-positron collisions usi…

The Higgs boson, relic of the spontaneous electroweak symmetry breaking, is one of the most important searches at current hadron colliders. This thesis wishes to present theoretical predictions for the inclusive production and decay of the Higgs boson(s) either in the context of the Standard Model (SM) or in its minimal supersymmetric extension (MSSM) where five Higgs bosons are present. We will focus on the two major hadron colliders, the Fermilab Tevatron collider and the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) which is running at 7 TeV. We will present the predictions for the dominant production a…
Theoretical research has long played an essential role in interpreting data from high-energy particle colliders and motivating new accelerators to advance the energy and precision frontiers. Collider phenomenology is an essential interface between theoretical models and experimental observations, since theoretical studies inspire experimental analyses while experimental results sharpen theoretical ideas. This report -- from the Snowmass 2021 Theory Frontier topical group for Collider Phenomenology (TF07) -- showcases the dynamism, engagement, and motivations of collider phenomenologists by exp…
We present a model with $S_3 \otimes \mathbb{Z}_2$ model plus a sterile neutrino and its phenomenological expectations for the production of charged scalars at the Compact Linear Collider. At tree level, our model predicts a total cross section in between 0.1 and $10^{-5}$ pb for the $e^- e^+ \to H^+ H^-$ process, considering all possible mass values for the charged scalar in the CLIC experiment. We also show that this prediction holds regardless of the masses of the other exotic particles and their couplings.
This is a personal recollection of several results involving the phenomenological study of the multi-Regge limit of scattering amplitudes. None of them would have been possible without the encouragement and constant support from Lev Nikolaevich Lipatov.
The current challenges in High Energy Physics and Cosmology are to build coherent particle physics models to describe the phenomenology at colliders in the laboratory and the observations in the universe. From these observations, the existence of an inflationary phase in the early universe gives guidance for particle physics models. We study a supersymmetric model which incorporates successfully inflation by a non-minimal coupling to supergravity and shows a unique collider phenomenology. Motivated by experimental data, we set a special emphasis on a new singlet-like state at 97 GeV and single…

Kinematic variables have been playing an important role in collider phenomenology, as they expedite discoveries of new particles by separating signal events from unwanted background events and allow for measurements of particle properties such as masses, couplings, spins, etc. For the past 10 years, an enormous number of kinematic variables have been designed and proposed, primarily for the experiments at the Large Hadron Collider, allowing for a drastic reduction of high-dimensional experimental data to lower-dimensional observables, from which one can readily extract underlying features of p…
Precision measurements at the LHC and future colliders require theory predictions with uncertainties at the percent level for many observables. Theory uncertainties due to the perturbative truncation are particularly relevant and must be reduced to fully exploit the physics potential of collider experiments. In recent years the theoretical high energy physics community has made tremendous analytical and numerical advances to address this challenge. In this white paper, we survey state-of-the-art calculations in perturbative quantum field theory for collider phenomenology with a particular focu…
We examine the collider and dark matter phenomenology of the Standard Model extended by a hypercharge-zero SU(2) triplet scalar and gauge singlet scalar. In particular, we study the scenario where the singlet and triplet are both charged under a single $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry. We find that such an extension is capable of generating the observed dark matter density, while also modifying the collider phenomenology such that the lower bound on the mass of the triplet is smaller than in minimal triplet scalar extensions to the Standard Model. A high triplet mass is in tension with the parameter sp…
