We investigate dark matter in a constrained $E_6$ inspired supersymmetric model with an exact custodial symmetry and compare with the CMSSM. The breakdown of $E_6$ leads to an additional $U(1)_N$ symmetry and a discrete matter parity. The custodial and matter symmetries imply there are two stable dark matter candidates, though one may be extremely light and contribute negligibly to the relic density. We demonstrate that a predominantly Higgsino, or mixed bino-Higgsino, neutralino can account for all of the relic abundance of dark matter, while fitting a 125 GeV SM-like Higgs and evading LHC limits on new states. However we show that the recent LUX 2016 limit on direct detection places severe constraints on the mixed bino-Higgsino scenarios that explain all of the dark matter. Nonetheless we still reveal interesting scenarios where the gluino, neutralino and chargino are light and discoverable at the LHC, but the full relic abundance is not accounted for. At the same time we also show that there is a huge volume of parameter space, with a predominantly Higgsino dark matter candidate that explains all the relic abundance, that will be discoverable with XENON1T. Finally we demonstrate that for the $E_6$ inspired model the exotic leptoquarks could still be light and within range of future LHC searches.
We consider the exotic decays of the SM-like Higgs state within the E6 inspired supersymmetric (SUSY) models. In these models the lightest SUSY particle (LSP) can be substantially lighter than 1 eV forming hot dark matter in the Universe. The next--to--lightest SUSY particle (NLSP) also tend to be light. We argue that the NLSP with GeV scale mass may lead to the substantial branching ratio of the nonstandard decays of the SM-like Higgs boson into NLSPs.
In supersymmetric models, there are new CP violating phases which, if unsuppressed, would give a too large neutron electric dipole moment. We examine the possibility of small SUSY phases in string-inspired supergravity models in which supersymmetry is broken by the auxiliary components of the dilaton and moduli superfields. It is found that the SUSY phases can be suppressed by a small factor governing the breakdown of the approximate Peccei Quinn symmetries nonlinearly realized for the moduli superfields that participate in supersymmetry breaking. In many cases, the symmetry breaking factors a…
We study the decays of the SM-like Higgs state within the E6 inspired supersymmetric (SUSY) models with exact custodial symmetry that forbids tree-level flavor-changing transitions and the most dangerous baryon and lepton number violating operators. In these models there are two states which are absolutely stable and can contribute to the dark matter density. One of them is the lightest SUSY particle (LSP) which is expected to be lighter than 1 eV forming hot dark matter in the Universe. The presence of another stable neutral state allows to account for the observed cold dark matter density. I…
The breakdown of E_6 within the supersymmetric (SUSY) Grand Unified Theories (GUTs) can result in SUSY extensions of the standard model (SM) based on the SM gauge group together with extra U(1) gauge symmetry under which right-handed neutrinos have zero charge. In these U(1)_N extensions of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) a single discrete \tilde{Z}^H_2 symmetry may be used to suppress the most dangerous operators, that give rise to proton decay as well as non-diagonal flavour transitions at low energies. The SUSY models under consideration involves Z' and extra exotic matter …
We investigate the physical origins of multiple solutions to boundary value problems in the fully constrained MSSM and NMSSM. We derive mathematical criteria that formulate circumstances under which multiple solutions can appear. Finally, we study the validity of the exclusion of the CMSSM in the presence of multiple solutions.
The phenomenological implications of the E6 inspired supersymmetric models based on the Standard Model gauge group together with extra U(1)_N gauge symmetry under which right-handed neutrinos have zero charge are examined. In these models single discrete symmetry forbids the tree-level flavour changing processes and the most dangerous operators that violate baryon and lepton numbers. The two-loop renormalisation group flow of the gauge and Yukawa couplings is explored and the qualitative pattern of the Higgs spectrum in the case of the quasi-fixed point scenario is discussed. These E6 inspired…
We explore the relic density of dark matter and the particle spectrum within a constrained version of an $E_6$ inspired SUSY model with an extra $U(1)_N$ gauge symmetry. In this model a single exact custodial symmetry forbids tree-level flavor-changing transitions and the most dangerous baryon and lepton number violating operators. We present a set of benchmark points showing scenarios that have a SM-like Higgs mass of 125 GeV and sparticle masses above the LHC limits. They lead to striking new physics signatures which may be observed during run II of the LHC and can distinguish this model fro…
We show that the best fits of the MSSM constrained by a simple SO(10) SUSY GUT are consistent with the present data on the muon anomalous magnetic moment. The best fits assume rather large values of tan$β\approx 50$, and in our analysis they are not {\em a priori} correlated in any way, directly or indirectly, with the experimental limit on $a_μ$. Regions in the SUSY parameter space, which are currently ruled out because of too large $a_μ^{SUSY}$, are already excluded in the global fit by excessive corrections to $m_b$, unacceptable $BR(b\to sγ)$, or direct experimental limits on sparticle mas…
The breakdown of E_6 gauge symmetry at high energies may lead to supersymmetric (SUSY) models based on the Standard Model (SM) gauge group together with extra U(1)_ψ and U(1)_χ gauge symmetries. To ensure anomaly cancellation the particle content of these E_6 inspired models involves extra exotic states that generically give rise to non-diagonal flavour transitions and rapid proton decay. We argue that a single discrete \tilde{Z}^{H}_2 symmetry can be used to forbid tree-level flavor-changing transitions, as well as the most dangerous baryon and lepton number violating operators. We present 5D…
We discuss the potential of combined LHC and ILC experiments for SUSY searches in a difficult region of the parameter space, in which all sfermion masses are above the TeV scale. Precision analyses of cross sections of light chargino production and forward--backward asymmetries of decay leptons and hadrons at the ILC, together with mass information on \tildeχ^0_2 and squarks from the LHC, allow us to fit rather precisely the underlying fundamental gaugino/higgsino MSSM parameters and to constrain the masses of the heavy virtual sparticles. For such analyses the complete spin correlations betwe…
In some class of supersymmetric models, small neutrino mass is given as a consequence of the supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking. Phenomenologically interesting features of this scenario are as follows: (i) the right-handed sneutrino mass could be as low as TeV scale due to the Giudice-Masiero mechanism, and (ii) a scalar trilinear interaction of Higgs-slepton-(right-handed) sneutrino could be sizable without suppression by the small neutrino Yukawa coupling. We study some phenomenological aspects of this scenario focusing on the scalar trilinear interaction. We show that the 1-loop correction by sn…
We explore leptogenesis within the E6 inspired U(1) extension of the MSSM in which exact custodial symmetry forbids tree-level flavour-changing transitions and the most dangerous baryon and lepton number violating operators. This supersymmetric (SUSY) model involves extra exotic matter beyond the MSSM. In the simplest phenomenologically viable scenarios the lightest exotic fermions are neutral and stable. These states should be substantially lighter than 1 eV forming hot dark matter in the Universe. The low-energy effective Lagrangian of the SUSY model under consideration possesses an approxim…
Supersymmetric (SUSY) models with heavy sfermions ($m_{\tilde{f}} \sim 10$ TeV) in the first two generations and the third generation sfermion masses below 1 TeV can solve the SUSY flavor and the CP problems as well as satisfy naturalness constraints. We study the phenomenology of a string-inspired scenario and compare it with the minimal supergravity unified model (mSUGRA). The SUSY trilepton signature at the upgraded Tevatron, the $b\to sγ$ branching fraction and the neutralino dark matter relic density in this model can differ significantly from the mSUGRA model.
The new FNAL result of the muon $g-2$, combined with the BNL result, shows a 4.2$σ$ deviation from the SM. We use the new data of the muon $g-2$ to revisit several GUT-scale constrained SUSY models with the constraints from the LHC searches, the dark matter detection, the flavor data and the electroweak vacuum stability. We first demonstrate the tension between the muon $g-2$ and other experimental measurements in the CMSSM/mSUGRA. Then after discussing the possible ways to alleviate such a tension and showing the muon $g-2$ in pMSSM under relevant experimental constraints, we survey several e…
In the standard model (SM), the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix is the only origin of flavor violations (FVs). On the other hand, in general, there are a lot of sources of the FVs in a physics beyond the SM, through the diagonalizing matrices which make Yukawa matrices diagonal. Although most of the diagonalizing matrices are unknown ones, grand unified theories (GUTs) can fix these matrices. In particular, if we consider a GUT model based on the $SO(10)$ group, these diagonalizing matrices are strongly related to each other because of the matter unification. However, this unification c…
We briefly review the super-natural supersymmetry (SUSY), which provides a most promising solution to the SUSY electroweak fine-tuning problem. In particular, we address its subtle issues as well. Unlike the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard model (MSSM), the Next to MSSM (NMSSM) can be scale invariant and has no mass parameter in its Lagrangian before SUSY and gauge symmetry breakings. Therefore, the NMSSM is a perfect framework for super-natural SUSY. To give the SUSY breaking soft mass to the singlet, we consider the moduli and dilaton dominant SUSY breaking scenarios in M-theory on $S^1/Z_2$…
The theory of inflation will be investigated as well as supersymmetry breaking in the context of supergravity, incorporating the target-space duality and the nonperturbative gaugino condensation in the hidden sector. We found an inflationary trajectory of a dilaton field and a condensate field which breaks supersymmetry at once. The model satisfies the slow-roll condition which solves the eta-problem. When the particle rolls down along the minimized trajectory of the potential V(S,Y) at a duality invariant point of T=1, we can obtain the e-fold value \sim 57. And then the cosmological paramete…
We perform a status analysis of selective supersymmetric GUT models in light of recent constraints from collider and dark matter detection experiments. We find that a significant region of the parameter space of these models is still accessible to these experiments. Amongst the models we analyze, the split family model provides solutions that can explain the observed deviation in anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. Furthermore, there is a notable region of the parameter space of each model which yields the desired relic abundance for neutralino dark matter. We also present the prediction of…
Discussions are underway for a high-energy proton-proton collider. Two preliminary ideas are the $\sqrt{s}=33$ TeV HE-LHC and the $\sqrt{s}=100$ TeV VLHC. With Bayesian statistics, we calculate the probabilities that the LHC, HE-LHC and VLHC discover SUSY in the future, assuming that nature is described by the CMSSM and given the experimental data from the LHC, LUX and Planck. We find that the LHC with $300$/fb at $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV has a $15$-$75%$ probability of discovering SUSY. Should that run fail to discover SUSY, the probability of discovering SUSY with $3000$/fb is merely $1$-$10%$. Wer…
We analyze CP violation in the supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) embedded minimally into a left-right symmetric gauge structure with the seesaw mechanism for neutrino masses. With the plausible assumption of universal scalar masses it is shown that CP violation in the hadron sector of the MSSM is described by a single phase residing in the supersymmetry breaking Lagrangian. This improves the CP properties of the MSSM by providing a natural solution to the SUSY CP problem. Furthermore, $ε'/ε$ vanishes in this model above the seesaw scale; extrapolation to the weak scale then leads to a predi…
Motivated by the ATLAS and CMS discovery of a Higgs-like boson with a mass around 125 GeV, and by the need of explaining neutrino masses, we analyse the three canonical SUSY versions of the seesaw mechanism (type I, II and III) with CMSSM boundary conditions. In type II and III cases, SUSY particles are lighter than in the CMSSM (or the constrained type I seesaw), for the same set of input parameters at the universality scale. Thus, to explain $m_{h^0} \simeq 125 GeV$ at low energies, one is forced into regions of parameter space with very large values of $m_0$, $M_{1/2}$ or $A_0$. We compare …
The evidence for a new singlet scalar particle from the 750 GeV diphoton excess, and the absence of any other signal of new physics at the LHC so far, suggest the existence of new coloured scalars. To study this possibility, we propose a supersymmetry inspired simplified model, extending the Standard Model with a singlet scalar and with heavy scalar fields carrying both colour and electric charges -- the `squarks'. To allow the latter to decay, and to generate the dark matter of the Universe, we also add a neutral fermion to the particle content. We show that this model provides a two-paramete…
A minimal lepton number violation (LNV) is proposed which could naturally appear in SUSY theories, if Yukawa and LNV couplings had a common origin. According to this idea properly implemented into MSSM with an additional abelian flavor symmetry the prototype LNV appears due to a mixing of leptons with superheavy Higgs doublet mediating Yukawa couplings. As a result, all significant physical manifestations of LNV reduce to those of the effective trilinear couplings $LL\bar{E}$ and $LQ\bar{D}$ aligned, by size and orientation in a flavor space, with the down fermion (charged lepton and down quar…
Constrained supersymmetric models like the CMSSM might look less attractive nowadays because of fine tuning arguments. They also might look less probable in terms of Bayesian statistics. The question how well the model under study describes the data, however, is answered by frequentist p-values. Thus, for the first time, we calculate a p-value for a supersymmetric model by performing dedicated global toy fits. We combine constraints from low-energy and astrophysical observables, Higgs boson mass and rate measurements as well as the non-observation of new physics in searches for supersymmetry a…
The SUSY-GUT paradigm is the most promising scenario for the physics beyond the Standard Model. After the LHC run I, it is of interest to reanalyze the room still remaining for SUSY-GUT inspired models and to study the limits on the SUSY mass spectrum. Assuming one step unification of gauge couplings, under some natural requirements we have obtained the energy upper bound for the observation of SUSY phenomenology. We found that in the SUSY-GUT framework the mass of lightest gluino or Higgsino cannot be larger than about 20 TeV.
We analyse the two-loop renormalization group (RG) flow of the gauge and Yukawa couplings within the E6 inspired supersymmetric (SUSY) models with extra U(1)_{N} gauge symmetry under which right-handed neutrinos have zero charge. In these models single discrete \tilde{Z}^{H}_2 symmetry forbids the tree-level flavor-changing transitions and the most dangerous baryon and lepton number violating operators. We consider two different scenarios A and B that involve extra matter beyond the MSSM contained in three and four 5+\overline{5} representations of SU(5) respectively plus three SU(5) singlets …
The strong constraints on the R-parity conserving supersymmetry (SUSY) from the LHC searches motivate us to consider the new models in which the low-scale SUSY is still allowed. We propose a kind of R-parity violating SUSY scenarios with a non-zero $U^c_2 D^c_2 D^c_3$ operator. Three relevant LHC searches are recasted to test the status of this scenario in terms of four simplified models, with either light stop-Bino, stop-Higgsino, sbottom-Bino or sbottom-Higgsino. Some difficult scenarios for the LHC SUSY searches in these simplified models are identified. By extrapolate the current LHC searc…
It is well known that global symmetries protect local supersymmetry and a zero value for the cosmological constant in no--scale supergravity. The breakdown of these symmetries, which ensure the vanishing of the vacuum energy density, results in a set of degenerate vacua with broken and unbroken supersymmetry leading to the natural realisation of the multiple point principle (MPP). Assuming the degeneracy of vacua with broken and unbroken SUSY in the hidden sector we estimate the value of the cosmological constant. We argue that the observed value of the dark energy density can be reproduced in…
We present a new formalism for finding the low-energy effective Lagrangian of Goldstinos and other fields. This Lagrangian is written using standard superspace and the superfields are constrained to include only the light degrees of freedom. The Goldstino resides in a (constrained) chiral superfield X which is naturally identified at short distances. This allows us to exactly compute the IR behavior of some correlation functions even in strongly coupled theories with SUSY breaking. The Goldstino couplings above the scale of the matter superpartners are determined by identifying X with the stan…
LEP results have constrained heavily the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, while providing hints for light Higgs boson and for ``SUSY-assisted'' gauge couling unification. In this paper the results obtained at LEP within two scenarios, the gravity-mediated MSSM framework and the minimal SUGRA scenario are presented. Model-dependence and coverage of LEP results is discussed.
Taking seriously phenomenological indications for supersymmetry, we have made a detailed study of unified minimal SUSY, including effects at the few percent level in a consistent fashion. We report here a general analysis without choosing a particular unification gauge group. We find that the encouraging SUSY unification results of recent years do survive the challenge of a more complete and accurate analysis. Taking into account effects at the 5-10% level leads to several improvements of previous results, and allows us to sharpen our predictions for SUSY in the light of unification. We perfor…
The implications of the LHC SUSY searches as well as the discovery of a new bosonic state compatible with the lightest Higgs boson will be discussed in the context of constrained and general MSSM scenarios. Exploring the MSSM through the Higgs sector is an alternative and complementary path to direct searches, and tight constraints on the MSSM parameter space can be obtained.
We consider the possibility that the muon g-2 anomaly, $δ(g-2)$, finds its origins in low energy supersymmetry (SUSY). In the general MSSM the parameter space consistent with $δ(g-2)$ and correct dark matter relic density of the lightest neutralino easily evades the present direct LHC limits on sparticle masses and also lies to a large extent beyond future LHC sensitivity. The situation is quite different in GUT-defined scenarios where input SUSY parameters are no longer independent. We analyze to what extent the LHC can probe a broad class of GUT-inspired SUSY models with gaugino non-universa…
We examine the possibilities for constructing models with Dirac gaugino masses and unification of gauge couplings. We identify one promising model, and discuss to what extent it can have a "natural SUSY" spectrum. We then determine the low-energy constraints upon it, and propose a constrained set of boundary conditions at the unification scale. We describe the implementation of these boundary conditions in the spectrum-generator generator \SARAH and we perform a first exploration of the parameter space, specifically searching for points where the spectrum is relatively light. It is shown that …
We analyze the Higgs intense--coupling regime, in which all Higgs particles of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model are light with masses of the same order and the value of $\tb$ the ratio of vacuum expectation values of the two Higgs fields is large, in the framework of Supergravity scenarios with non--universal soft Supersymmetry breaking scalar masses in the Higgs sector. In particular, we calculate the relic density abundance of the lightest neutralino candidate for cold dark matter and the rates in direct and indirect detection at present and future experiments. We first show that wh…
We analyze the potential of the first LHC physics run, assuming 1/fb at sqrt[s] = 7 TeV, to discover Supersymmetry (SUSY). The results are based on SUSY parameter fits following a frequentist approach. They include the experimental constraints from electroweak precision data, (g-2)_mu, B-physics and cosmological data. The two SUSY models under consideration are the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) with universal soft supersymmetry-breaking mass parameters, and a model with common non-universal Higgs mass parameters in the superpotential (NUHM1). We find that large parts of the regions preferred at the…
Inspired by the recent LHC Higgs data and null search results of supersymmetry (SUSY), we scan the parameter space of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with relatively heavy sparticles (1-3 TeV). Then in the parameter space allowed by current collider experiments and dark matter detections, we calculate the complete one-loop SUSY QCD corrections to $pp\to b\bar{b}h$ at the LHC with $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV and obtain the following observations: (i) For the large values of $\tanβ$ and low values of $m_{A}$, the SUSY QCD effects can be quite large, which, however, have been excluded by t…
Supersymmetric left-right models are well motivated extensions of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model since they automatically contain the ingredients to explain the observed neutrino masses and mixings. Here we study a SUSY model in which the left-right symmetry is broken by triplets at a high scale leading to automatic R-parity conservation at low energies. The sparticle spectra in this model differ from the usual constrained MSSM expectations and these changes affect the relic abundance of the lightest neutralino. We discuss two examples: (1) the standard stau co-annihilation region, …
Matter-Higgs unification in string-inspired supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories predicts the existence of colored states in the Higgs multiplets and calls for two extra generations of Higgs-like fields ('unhiggses'). If these states are present near the TeV scale, gauge-coupling unification points to the existence of two distinct scales, 10^15 GeV where right-handed neutrinos and a Pati-Salam symmetry appear, and 10^18 GeV where complete unification is achieved. Baryon-number conservation, while not guaranteed, can naturally emerge from an underlying flavor symmetry. Collider signatures and …
Inspired by the exotic measurements on the CP asymmetry in $B\to ϕK_{s}$, we study a new diagram in supersymmetric models which can make the difference $\sin2ϕ^{eff}_{1}(J/ΨK_{s})-\sin2ϕ^{eff}_{1}(ϕK_{s})$ to be $20-50%$ after satisfying the constraint from $b\to s γ$. We also find that the direct CP asymmetry of $b\to s γ$ could be $\sim 10%$ and testable at $B$ factories.
Study of the MSSM in large tan$β$ regime has to include correlations between the constraints presented by the low energy values of the b quark mass and BR($b \to sγ$). Both quantities receive SUSY contributions enhanced by tan$β$ and have a major impact on the MSSM analysis. Here we summarize the results of such a study constrained by a complete SO(10) model. The dominant effects to the analysis come from third generation Yukawa couplings and a GUT threshold to $α_s$. We show that a small negative GUT correction to $α_s$ accommodates $α_s(M_Z) \leq 0.118$ and $δm_b^{SUSY} > 0$. The latter quan…
The accuracy in the measurement of the masses of sleptons and heavy Higgs bosons in cMSSM scenarios, compatible with the WMAP result on cold dark matter, has been re-analysed in view of the requirements for predicting this density to a few percent level from SUSY measurements at the linear collider.
Study of the MSSM in large tan$β$ regime has to include correlations between the constraints presented by the low energy values of the b quark mass and $BR(b\to sγ)$. Both quantities receive SUSY contributions enhanced by tan$β$ and have a major impact on the MSSM analysis. Here we summarize the results of such a study constrained by minimal SO(10) unification. We show the best fits, in the $(m_0,M_{1/2})$ plane, obtained in the global analysis spanned over the gauge, Yukawa and SUSY parameter space at the unification scale. Two distinct fits describe the available low-energy data very well. T…
If SUSY is discovered at the LHC, the task will immediately turn to determining the model of SUSY breaking. Here, we employ a Mixed Modulus-Anomaly Mediated SUSY Breaking (MMAMSB) model with very similar LHC phenomenology to the more conventionally studied Constrained Minimal SUSY Model (CMSSM) and minimal Anomaly Mediated SUSY Breaking (mAMSB) models. We then study whether the models can be distinguished and measured. If we only fit to the various mass edges and mass end-points from cascade decay chains that are normally studied, a unique determination and measurement of the model is problema…
In this article we review the case for a light ($< m_{h_{125}}/2$) neutralino and sneutrino being a viable Dark Matter (DM) candidate in Supersymmetry(SUSY). To that end we recapitulate, very briefly, three issues related to the DM which impact the discussions : calculation of DM relic density, detection of the DM in Direct and Indirect experiments and creation /detection at the Colliders. In case of SUSY, the results from Higgs and SUSY searches at the colliders also have implications for the DM mass and couplings. In view of the constraints coming from all these sources, the possibility of a…
We develop a string-inspired model for particle cosmology, based on a flipped SU(5)$\times$U(1) gauge group formulated in a no-scale supergravity framework. The model realizes Starobinsky-like inflation, which we assume to be followed by strong reheating, with the GUT symmetry being broken subsequently by a light `flaton' field whose decay generates a second stage of reheating. We discuss the production of gravitinos and the non-thermal contribution made by their decays to the density of cold dark matter, which is assumed to be provided by the lightest neutralino. We also discuss the masses of…
Motivated by the recent HERA events which are consistent with a possible leptoquark interpretation, we discuss the prospects for including additional light colour triplets and anti-triplets in the spectrum of supersymmetric unified theories. We focus on a particular string-inspired Pati-Salam model, and propose a simple mechanism by which a light colour triplet of charge -1/3 plus anti-triplet of charge 1/3, may have a mass of order 200 GeV, with one of the new states having leptoquark couplings and with proton decay suppressed. We also discuss possible scenarios for gauge unification in such …
In the context of low-energy Supersymmetry, a model of Grand Unification with right-handed neutrinos, based on the group SU(5), is discussed and its implications for neutralino dark matter (DM) are studied and compared with the constrained MSSM. RG effects in this model modify the sparticle spectrum such that the WMAP limit on the DM relic density cannot be satisfied for small values of $\tanβ$ ($\tanβ\lesssim 35$) and the region of the parameter space allowed by efficient neutralino-stau coannihilation presents a peculiar phenomenology and an upper bound on the neutralino mass for most of the…
Indirect information about the possible scale of supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking can be obtained from the comparison of precisely measured observables (and also of exclusion limits) with accurate theory predictions incorporating SUSY loop corrections. Recent results are reviewed obtained from a combined analysis of the most sensitive electroweak precision observables (EWPO), M_W, sin^2_theta^eff, Gamma_Z, (g-2)_μand M_h, and B-physics observables (BPO), BR(b -> s γ), BR(B_s -> μ^+μ^-), BR(B_u -> τν_τ) and ΔM_{B_s}. Assuming that the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) provides the cold dark m…
We study the fine tuning in the parameter space of the semi-constrained NMSSM, where most soft Susy breaking parameters are universal at the GUT scale. We discuss the dependence of the fine tuning on the soft Susy breaking parameters M_1/2 and m0, and on the Higgs masses in NMSSM specific scenarios involving large singlet-doublet Higgs mixing or dominant Higgs-to-Higgs decays. Whereas these latter scenarios allow a priori for considerably less fine tuning than the constrained MSSM, the early LHC results rule out a large part of the parameter space of the semi-constrained NMSSM corresponding to…
The recent results of the LHC search for electroweak production of supersymmetric (SUSY) particles at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV have shown improved lower limits for their masses. In addition, the projected experiment E989 will be able to measure the muon anomalous magnetic moment precisely so that the experimental uncertainty can be reduced by a factor of four. It was pointed out that if the center value of the muon $g-2$ remains unchanged the deviation between the standard model (SM) prediction and the experimental value will be as large as 7.0$σ$. Such a large deviation will be solid evidence for ne…
We study the determination of supersymmetric parameters at the LHC from a global fit including cross sections and edges of kinematic distributions. For illustration, we focus on a minimal supergravity scenario and discuss how well it can be constrained at the LHC operating at 7 and 14 TeV collision energy, respectively. We find that the inclusion of cross sections greatly improves the accuracy of the SUSY parameter determination, and allows to reliably extract model parameters even in the initial phase of LHC data taking with 7 TeV collision energy and 1/fb integrated luminosity. Moreover, cro…
We examine the Higgs triple coupling in MSSM and NMSSM under current constraints, which include the LHC measurements, Higgs data, B physics, electroweak precision observables, relic density and so on. The ratio $λ^{\rm MSSM}_{hhh}/λ^{\rm SM}_{hhh}$ is above 0.97, due to the highly constrained parameter space. While the ratio $λ^{\rm NMSSM}_{hhh}/λ^{\rm SM}_{hhh}$ can reach 0.1 under current constraints. The precise measurement in future collider will give a tighter constraint to the Higgs triple coupling in MSSM and NMSSM.
Inspired by the existing calculation of B->piK decays in supersymmetry (SUSY), we evaluate the dominant SUSY contributions to Bs->K+K-. We show that the observables of this process can be significantly modified in the presence of SUSY. In particular, the branching ratio can be increased considerably compared to the prediction of the standard model (SM). The effect is even more dramatic for the CP-violating asymmetries A_dir and A_mix. These asymmetries, expected to be small in the SM (A_dir is predicted to take only positive values), change drastically with SUSY contributions. The measurement …
The first LHC results seem to disfavour, from the point of view of naturalness, any constrained MSSM realization with universal conditions at the SUSY-breaking scale. A more motivated scenario is given by split-family SUSY, in which the first two generations of squarks are heavy, compatible with a U(2)^3 flavour symmetry. We consider this flavour symmetry to be broken at a very high scale and study the consequences at low energies through its RGE evolution. Initial conditions compatible with a split scenario are found, and the preservation of correlations from minimal U(2)^3 breaking are check…
We study the μ\to e γdecay in the Z_3-invariant next-to-minimal supersymmetric (SUSY) Standard Model (NMSSM) with superheavy right-handed neutrinos. We assume that the soft SUSY breaking parameters are generated at the GUT scale, not universally as in the minimal supergravity scenario but in such a way that those soft parameters which are specific to the NMSSM can differ from the soft parameters which involve only the MSSM fields while keeping the universality at the GUT scale within the soft parameters for the MSSM and right-handed neutrino fields. We call this type of boundary conditions "se…
We examine proton decay mediated by color-triplet Higgsinos in minimal supersymmetric $SU(5)$ grand unified theory in light of the discovery of the Higgs boson and the absence of SUSY signals at the LHC. We pay special attention to various threshold effects arising from Planck-suppressed operators that affect the color-triplet Higgsino mass and also correct the wrong mass relations for the light fermions. Our analysis allows for a non-universal SUSY spectrum with the third family scalars having a separate mass compared to the first two families. We identify the allowed parameter space of the m…
It has been argued that rather generic features of string-inspired inflationary theories with low-energy supersymmetry (SUSY) make it difficult to achieve inflation with a Hubble scale H > m_{3/2}, where m_{3/2} is the gravitino mass in the SUSY-breaking vacuum state. We present a class of string-inspired supergravity realizations of chaotic inflation where a simple, dynamical mechanism yields hierarchically small scales of post-inflationary supersymmetry breaking. Within these toy models we can easily achieve small ratios between m_{3/2} and the Hubble scale of inflation. This is possible bec…

Recent results from ATLAS gives a Higgs mass of 125.5 GeV, further constrain already highly constrained supersymmetric models such as pMSSM or CMSSM/mSUGRA. Finding potentially discoverable and non-excluded regions of model parameter space is becoming increasingly difficult. Several groups have invested large effort in studying the consequences of Higgs mass bounds, upper limits on rare $B$-meson decays, and limits on relic dark matter density on constrained models, aiming at predicting superpartner masses, and establishing likelihood of SUSY models compared to that of the Standard Model vis-á…
