As measurements of the neutrino oscillation parameters improve it is becoming more interesting to study antineutrino oscillations, to investigate CP and CPT violation in the lepton sector and nonstandard matter effects. We present the most recent T2K antineutrino oscillation results, from data collected using a muon antineutrino-enhanced neutrino beam corresponding to 4.01E20 protons on target. The first analysis of electron antineutrino appearance at T2K is presented, as well as world-leading measurements of the dominant oscillation parameters for muon antineutrino disappearance. T2K measures $\sin^2(\barθ_{23}) = 0.46^{+0.14}_{-0.06}$ and $Δ\bar{m}^2_{32} = 2.50^{+0.3}_{-0.2} \times 10^{-3} \mbox{eV}^2$, which is consistent with previous T2K measurements of the neutrino oscillation parameters and existing antineutrino measurements.

T2K is a long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment, in which a muon neutrino beam is produced at J-PARC and detected 295 km away at the Super-Kamiokande detector. The T2K experiment observed electron-neutrino appearance in 2012. This observation enables T2K to explore CP violation in the lepton sector by comparing electron-neutrino appearance and electron-antineutrino appearance. Indeed, the number of observed electron neutrino events up to 2012 is, though within statistical fluctuation, larger than the expectation, which suggests maximal CP violation. Since 2013, T2K has been accumulating…
T2K (Tokai to Kamioka) is a long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment located in Japan and designed to measure neutrino flavor oscillation using an off-axis neutrino beam. Data collected recently with an anti-neutrino beam allows T2K to measure cross sections for anti-neutrinos at an energy around 600 MeV using the off-axis near detector. These measurements, along with the analogous for neutrinos, are vital inputs to neutrino oscillation analyses and their interpretation. In this work preliminary results on the simultaneous extraction of the muon neutrino and anti-neutrino charged-current …
The Daya Bay experiment consists of functionally identical antineutrino detectors immersed in pools of ultrapure water in three well-separated underground experimental halls near two nuclear reactor complexes. These pools serve both as shields against natural, low-energy radiation, and as water Cherenkov detectors that efficiently detect cosmic muons using arrays of photomultiplier tubes. Each pool is covered by a plane of resistive plate chambers as an additional means of detecting muons. Design, construction, operation, and performance of these muon detectors are described.
PROSPECT is a short-baseline reactor antineutrino experiment designed to search for short-baseline sterile neutrino oscillations and perform a precise measurement of $^{235}$U reactor antineutrino spectrum from the High Flux Isotope Reactor at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. This measurement probes our understanding of recent anomalous results observed in reactor antineutrinos. PROSPECT uses a $\sim$4-ton optically segmented, $^{6}$Li-loaded liquid scintillator detector with high light yield, world-leading energy resolution, and excellent pulse shape discrimination. The latest antineutrino spec…
PROSPECT, the Precision Reactor Oscillation and Spectrum Experiment, will use two segmented detectors positioned 7-20 m from the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory to measure the U-235 antineutrino spectrum and perform a search for short-baseline oscillations as a signature of eV-scale sterile neutrinos. PROSPECT has developed Li-6 loaded liquid scintillator detectors for efficient identification of reactor antineutrinos and has measured reactor and cosmogenic backgrounds in the HFIR reactor building. Multiple test detectors have been built, operated, and charact…
One of the largest sources of systematic uncertainties in ongoing neutrino-oscillation measurements is the description of nuclear effects. Its considerable reduction is expected thanks to the dedicated studies of (anti)neutrino-nucleus interactions in the MINERvA experiment. In this article, the calculations within the spectral function approach are compared to the charged-current quasielastic cross sections reported from MINERvA. The obtained results show that the effect of final-state interactions on the (anti)muon kinematics plays pivotal role in reproducing the experimental data.
NOvA is a long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment using Fermilab's 700 kW NuMI muon neutrino beam. Two functionally identical scintillator detectors are placed off the beam axis, separated by 810 km oscillation baseline. Both detectors have high active material fractions and are finely segmented allowing for precise identification and analysis of neutrino interactions. By observing both the disappearance of muon (anti)neutrinos and appearance of electron (anti)neutrinos in the beam, NOvA can impose constraints on the yet undetermined parameters of neutrino oscillation phenomenon, such as…
Measurements of the reactor antineutrino flux and spectrum compared to model predictions have revealed an apparent deficit in the interaction rates of reactor antineutrinos and an unexpected spectral deviation. PROSPECT, the Precision Reactor Oscillation Spectrum measurement, is designed to make a precision measurement of the antineutrino spectrum from a research reactor and search for signs of an eV-scale sterile neutrino. PROSPECT will be located at the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and make use of a Highly Enriched Uranium reactor for a measurement of the…
The magnetised Iron Calorimeter detector at the India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO) has a unique feature to identify the neutrinos and antineutrinos on an event by event basis. This feature can be harnessed to detect the differences between the oscillation parameters of neutrinos and antineutrinos independently. In this paper, we analysed Charged Current $ν_μ$ and $\overlineν_μ$ events under the influence of earth matter effect using three neutrino flavor oscillation framework. If the atmospheric mass-squared differences and mixing parameters for neutrinos are different from antineutrinos, …
nuSTORM (Neutrinos from STORed Muons) is a proposed storage ring facility to deliver beams of muon antineutrinos and electron neutrinos from positive muon decays (muon neutrinos and electron antineutrinos from negative muon decays), with a central muon momentum of 3.8 GeV/c and a momentum acceptance of 10%. The facility will allow searches for eV-scale sterile neutrinos at better than 10 sigma sensitivity, it will be able to provide measurements of neutrino and antineutrino-nucleus scattering cross sections with percent-level precision and will serve as a first step towards developing muon acc…
Segmented antineutrino detectors placed near a compact research reactor provide an excellent opportunity to probe short-baseline neutrino oscillations and precisely measure the reactor antineutrino spectrum. Close proximity to a reactor combined with minimal overburden yield a high background environment that must be managed through shielding and detector technology. PROSPECT is a new experimental effort to detect reactor antineutrinos from the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, managed by UT Battelle for the U.S. Department of Energy. The detector will use nove…
Data from the MINOS experiment has been used to search for mixing between muon neutrinos and muon antineutrinos using a time-independent Lorentz-violating formalism derived from the Standard-Model Extension (SME). MINOS is uniquely capable of searching for muon neutrino-antineutrino mixing given its long baseline and ability to distinguish between neutrinos and antineutrinos on an event-by-event basis. Neutrino and antineutrino interactions were observed in the MINOS Near and Far Detectors from an exposure of 10.56$\times10^{20}$ protons-on-target from the NuMI neutrino-optimized beam. No evid…

The Precision Reactor Oscillation and Spectrum Experiment, PROSPECT, has made world-leading measurements of reactor antineutrinos at short baselines. In its first phase, conducted at the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, PROSPECT produced some of the strongest limits on eV-scale sterile neutrinos, made a precision measurement of the reactor antineutrino spectrum from $^{235}$U, and demonstrated the observation of reactor antineutrinos in an aboveground detector with good energy resolution and well-controlled backgrounds. The PROSPECT collaboration is now prepar…
A meter-long, 23-liter EJ-309 liquid scintillator detector has been constructed to study the light collection and pulse-shape discrimination performance of elongated scintillator cells for the PROSPECT reactor antineutrino experiment. The magnitude and uniformity of light collection and neutron/gamma discrimination power in the energy range of antineutrino inverse beta decay products have been studied using gamma and spontaneous fission calibration sources deployed along the cell long axis. We also study neutron-gamma discrimination and light collection abilities for differing PMT and reflecto…
We present a detailed report on sterile neutrino oscillation and U-235 antineutrino energy spectrum measurement results from the PROSPECT experiment at the highly enriched High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. In 96 calendar days of data taken at an average baseline distance of 7.9 m from the center of the 85 MW HFIR core, the PROSPECT detector has observed more than 50,000 interactions of antineutrinos produced in beta decays of U-235 fission products. New limits on the oscillation of antineutrinos to light sterile neutrinos have been set by comparing the detected…
If dark matter has mass lower than around 1 GeV, it will not impart enough energy to cause detectable nuclear recoils in many direct-detection experiments. However, if dark matter is upscattered to high energy by collisions with cosmic rays, it may be detectable in both direct-detection experiments and neutrino experiments. We report the results of a dedicated search for boosted dark matter upscattered by cosmic rays using the PROSPECT reactor antineutrino experiment. We show that such a flux of upscattered dark matter would display characteristic diurnal sidereal modulation, and use this to s…
T2K is a long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment, in which a muon-neutrino beam is directed over a 295 km baseline from the J-PARC facility to the Super-Kamiokande detector. This allows neutrino oscillation to be studied in two channels: disappearance of muon neutrinos and appearance of electron neutrinos. T2K has collected data using both a neutrino-enhanced and an antineutrino-enhanced beam, and these proceedings present the first T2K results using both neutrino and antineutrino oscillation data. Combining the two data sets gives the first ever sensitivity to neutrino-sector CP violati…
The PROSPECT and STEREO collaborations present a combined measurement of the pure $^{235}$U antineutrino spectrum, without site specific corrections or detector-dependent effects. The spectral measurements of the two highest precision experiments at research reactors are found to be compatible with $χ^2/\mathrm{ndf} = 24.1/21$, allowing a joint unfolding of the prompt energy measurements into antineutrino energy. This $\barν_e$ energy spectrum is provided to the community, and an excess of events relative to the Huber model is found in the 5-6 MeV region. When a Gaussian bump is fitted to the …
We study the prospects of measuring the decay of the Higgs boson into a pair of muons at the International Linear Collider (ILC). The study is performed at center-of-mass energies of 250\,GeV and 500\,GeV, with fully-simulated Monte-Carlo samples based on the International Large Detector (ILD). The expected precision on cross section times branching ratio $σ\times \mathrm{BR}(h \to μ^+ μ^-)$ has been evaluated to be 24.9{\%} for an integrated luminosity of 2\,ab$^{-1}$ at 250\,GeV. This result improves to 17.5{\%} in combination with 4\,ab$^{-1}$ of 500\,GeV data. We also quantify the impact o…
The prospects for measuring the branching fraction of $H \to μ^+ μ^-$ at the International Linear Collider (ILC) have been evaluated based on a full detector simulation of the International Large Detector (ILD) concept, considering centre-of-mass energies ($\sqrt{s}$) of 250 GeV and 500 GeV. For both $\sqrt{s}$ cases, the two final states $e^+ e^- \to q\overline{q}H$ and $e^+ e^- \to ν\overlineνH$ have been analyzed. For integrated luminosities of 2 ab$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s} = 250$ GeV and 4 ab$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s} = 500$ GeV, the combined precision on the branching fraction of $H \to μ^+ μ^-$ is …

The single, movable detector has a segmented design of 154 optically separated individual segments that serves multiple purposes. Segments, filled with 6Li-loaded liquid scintillator, cover a range of baselines from the reactor core and allow precise event localization. A reactor-model independent search of eV2-scale sterile neutrino oscillations is achieved b…

The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) is a multi-purpose neutrino experiment. One of the main goals is to determine the neutrino mass ordering by precisely measuring the energy spectrum of reactor antineutrinos. For reactor antineutrino detection, cosmogenic backgrounds such as $^9$Li/$^8$He and fast neutrons induced by cosmic muons should be rejected carefully by applying muon veto cuts, which requires good muon track reconstruction. With a 20~kton liquid scintillator detector, simulation shows the proportion of muon bundles to be around 8\% in the JUNO, while its reconstructio…
Antineutrino detectors are practical, non-intrusive tools capable of remotely monitoring the activity of nuclear reactors. Here we explore the sensitivity of the Super-Kamiokande water-Cherenkov detector, following gadolinium loading, to antineutrinos from a nuclear reactor complex at a distance of approximately 190 km. The livetimes required to observe the two currently operating cores in the reactor complex depend on the activity of other reactors in the vicinity, as well as on estimates of detection efficiency and background rates. Under reasonable assumptions, we find that gadolinium-loade…
The Precision Reactor Oscillation and Spectrum Experiment, PROSPECT, is designed to make a precise measurement of the antineutrino spectrum from a highly-enriched uranium reactor and probe eV-scale sterile neutrinos by searching for neutrino oscillations over meter-long distances. PROSPECT is conceived as a 2-phase experiment utilizing segmented $^6$Li-doped liquid scintillator detectors for both efficient detection of reactor antineutrinos through the inverse beta decay reaction and excellent background discrimination. PROSPECT Phase I consists of a movable 3-ton antineutrino detector at dist…
