We are interested in finding the sufficient conditions on $A$, $B$, $λ$, $b$ and $c$ which ensure that the generalized Bessel functions ${u}_λ:={u}_{λ,b,c}$ satisfies the subordination ${u}_λ(z) \prec (1+Az)/ (1+Bz)$. Also, conditions for which ${u}_λ(z)$ to be Janowski convex, and $z{u}'_λ(z)$ to be Janowski starlike in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}=\{z \in \mathbb{C}: |z|<1\}$ are obtained.
Sufficient conditions on $A$, $B$, $p$, $b$ and $c$ are determined that will ensure the generalized Bessel functions ${u}_{p,b,c}$ satisfies the subordination ${u}_{p,b,c}(z) \prec (1+Az)/ (1+Bz)$. In particular this gives conditions for $(-4κ/c)({u}_{p,b,c}(z)-1)$, $c \neq 0$ to be close-to-convex. Also, conditions for which ${u}_{p,b,c}(z)$ to be Janowski convex, and $z{u}_{p,b,c}(z)$ to be Janowski starlike in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}=\{z \in \mathbb{C}: |z|<1\}$ are obtained.
The main purpose of the present paper is to ascertain the radii of starlikeness and convexity associated with lemniscate of Bernoulli and the Janowski function, $(1+Az)/(1+Bz)$ for $-1\leq B<A\leq 1,$ of normalized hyper-Bessel function.
The radii of starlikeness and convexity associated with lemniscate of Bernoulli and the Janowski function, $(1+Az)/(1+Bz)$ for $-1\leq B<A\leq 1$, have been determined for normalizations of $q$-Bessel function, Bessel function of first kind of order $ν$, Lommel function of first kind and Legendre polynomial of odd degree.
In this article we study the inclusion properties of the Bessel-Struve kernel functions in the Janowski class. In particular, we find the conditions for which the Bessel-Struve kernel functions maps the unit disk to right half plane. An open problem in this aspect are also given. The third order differential subordination involving the Bessel-Struve kernel is also considered. The results are derived by defining suitable classes of admissible functions. One of the recurrence relation of the Bessel-Struve kernel play an important role to derive the main results.
For $ -1 \leq B \leq 1$ and $A>B$, let $\mathcal{S}^*[A,B]$ denote the class of generalized Janowski starlike functions consisting of all normalized analytic functions $f$ defined by the subordination $z f'(z)/f(z) \prec (1+ A z)/(1+ B z)$ $(|z|<1)$. For $-1 \leq B \leq 1<A$, we investigate the inverse coefficient problem for functions in the class $\mathcal{S}^*[A,B]$ and its meromorphic counter part. Also, for $ -1 \leq B \leq 1 < A $, the sharp bounds for first five coefficients for inverse functions of generalized Janowski convex functions are determined. A simple and precise proof for inv…
Differential subordination and superordination preserving properties for univalent functions in the open unit disk with an operator involving generalized Bessel functions are derived. Some particular cases involving trigonometric functions of our main results are also pointed out.
Sufficient conditions are determined on the parameters such that the generalized and normalized Bessel function of the first kind and other related functions belong to subclasses of starlike and convex functions defined in the unit disk associated with the exponential mapping. Several differential subordination implications are derived for analytic functions involving Bessel function and the operator introduced by Baricz \emph{et al.} [Differential subordinations involving generalized Bessel functions, Bull. Malays. Math. Sci. Soc. {\bf 38} (2015), no.~3, 1255--1280]. These results are obtaine…
In this paper our aim is to present some subordination and superordination results, by using an operator, which involves the normalized form of the generalized Bessel functions of first kind. These results are obtained by investigating some appropriate classes of admissible functions. We obtain also some sandwich-type results and we point out various known or new special cases of our main results.
The main purpose of this paper is to determine the radii of starlikeness and convexity of the generalized $\emph{k}-$Bessel functions for three different kinds of normalization by using their Hadamard factorization in such a way that the resulting functions are analytic in the unit disk of the complex plane. The characterization of entire functions from Laguerre-Pólya class plays an crucial role in this paper. Moreover, the interlacing properties of the zeros of $\emph{k}-$Bessel function and its derivative is also useful in the proof of the main results. By making use of the Euler-Rayleigh in…
Motivated by the study of the distribution of zeros of generalized Bessel-type functions, the principal goal of this paper is to identify new research directions in the theory of multiplier sequences. The investigations focus on multiplier sequences interpolated by functions which are not entire and sums, averages and parametrized families of multiplier sequences. The main results include (i) the development of a `logarithmic' multiplier sequence and (ii) several integral representations of a generalized Bessel-type function utilizing some ideas of G. H. Hardy and L. V. Ostrovskii. The explora…
Sufficient conditions on associated parameters $p,b$ and $c$ are obtained so that the generalized and \textquotedblleft{normalized}\textquotedblright{} Bessel function $u_p(z)=u_{p,b,c}(z)$ satisfies $|(1+(zu''_p(z)/u'_p(z)))^2-1|<1$ or $|((zu_p(z))'/u_p(z))^2-1|<1$. We also determine the condition on these parameters so that $-(4(p+(b+1)/2)/c)u'_p(z)\prec\sqrt{1+z}$. Relations between the parameters $μ$ and $p$ are obtained such that the normalized Lommel function of first kind $h_{μ,p}(z)$ satisfies the subordination $1+(zh''_{μ,p}(z)/h'_{μ,p}(z))\prec\sqrt{1+z}$. Moreover, the properties of…
The main object of this paper is to find necessary and sufficient conditions for generalized Bessel functions of first kind $zu_{p}(z)$ to be in the classes $\mathcal{SP}_{p}(α,β)$ and $\mathcal{UCSP}(α,β)$ of uniformly spirallike functions and also give necessary and sufficient conditions for $z(2-u_{p}(z))$ to be in the above classes. Furthermore, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for $\mathcal{I}(κ,c)f$ \ to be in $\mathcal{UCSPT}(α,β)$ provided that the function $f$ is in the class $\mathcal{R}^{τ}(A,B)$. Finally, we give conditions for the integral operator $\mathcal{G(}κ,c,z\ma…
In this paper our aim is to extend and improve the sufficient conditions for integral operators involving the normalized forms of the generalized Bessel functions of the first kind to be univalent in the open unit disk as investigated recently by (Erhan, E. Orhan, H. and Srivastava, H. (2011). Some sufficient conditions for univalence of certain families of integral operators involving generalized Bessel functions. Taiwanese Journal of Mathematics, 15 (2), pp.883-917) and (Baricz, Á. and Frasin, B. (2010). Univalence of integral operators involving Bessel functions. Applied Mathematics Letters…
In this paper, we determine necessary and sufficient conditions for the generalized Bessel function to be in certain subclasses of starlike and convex functions. Also, we obtain several corollaries as special cases of the main results, these corollaries gives the corresponding results of the familiar, modified and spherical Bessel functions.
For a fixed $a \in \{1, 2, 3, \ldots\},$ the radius of starlikeness of positive order is obtained for each of the normalized analytic functions \begin{align*} \mathtt{f}_{a, ν}(z)&:= \bigg(2^{a ν-a+1} a^{-\frac{a(aν-a+1)}{2}} Γ(a ν+1) {}_a\mathtt{B}_{2a-1, a ν-a+1, 1}(a^{a/2} z)\bigg)^{\tfrac{1}{a ν-a+1}},\\ \mathtt{g}_{a, ν}(z)&:= 2^{a ν-a+1} a^{-\frac{a}{2}(aν-a+1)} Γ(a ν+1) z^{a-aν} {}_a\mathtt{B}_{2a-1, a ν-a+1, 1}(a^{a/2} z),\\ \mathtt{h}_{a, ν}(z)&:= 2^{a ν-a+1} a^{-\frac{a}{2}(aν-a+1)} Γ(a ν+1) z^{\frac{1}{2}(1+a-aν)} {}_a\mathtt{B}_{2a-1, a ν-a+1, 1}(a^{a/2} \sqrt{z}) \end{align*} in t…
We study the distribution of the smallest eigenvalue for certain classes of positive-definite Hermitian random matrices, in the limit where the size of the matrices becomes large. Their limit distributions can be expressed as Fredholm determinants of integral operators associated to kernels built out of Meijer $G$-functions or Wright's generalized Bessel functions. They generalize in a natural way the hard edge Bessel kernel Fredholm determinant. We express the logarithmic derivatives of the Fredholm determinants identically in terms of a $2\times 2$ Riemann-Hilbert problem, and use this repre…
