Normality of different orders for Cantor series expansions

Let $S \subseteq \mathbb{N}$ have the property that for each $k \in S$ the set $(S - k) \cap \mathbb{N} \setminus S$ has asymptotic density $0$. We prove that there exists a basic sequence $Q$ where the set of numbers $Q$-normal of all orders in $S$ but not $Q$-normal of all orders not in $S$ has full Hausdorff dimension. If the function $k \mapsto 1_S(k)$ is computable, then there exist computable examples. Normal ordering of degenerate integral powers of number operator and its applications

The normal ordering of an integral power of the number operator in terms of boson operators is expressed with the help of the Stirling numbers of the second kind. As a `degenerate version' of this, we consider the normal ordering of a degenerate integral power of the number operator in terms of boson operators, which is represented by means of the degenerate Stirling numbers of the second kind. As an application of this normal ordering, we derive two equations defining the degenerate Stirling numbers of the second kind and a Dobinski-like formula for the degenerate Bell polynomials.

The normal order of of the divisor-counting function for invariants of rank 2 Drinfeld modules

We compute the first and second moments of the divisor-counting function for the Euler-Poincaré characteristic and the trace of Frobenius for the reductions modulo $p$ of a rank 2 Drinfeld module with nontrivial endomorphism ring, as the prime $p$ varies over the primes of ordinary reduction of the Drinfeld module. From these moments we derive the normal order of the number of prime divisors of these invariants.

Remarks on normal bases

We prove that any Galois extension of commutative rings with normal basis and abelian Galois group of odd order has a self dual normal basis. Also we show that if S/R is an unramified extension of number rings with Galois group of odd order and $R$ is totally real then the normal basis does not exist for S/R.

Normal ordering associated with λ-Stirling numbers inλ-Shift algebra

The Stirling numbers of the second kind are related to normal orderings in the Weyl algebra, while the unsigned Stirling numbers of the first kind are related to normal orderings in the shift algebra. Kim-Kim introduced a λ-analogue of the unsigned Stirling numbers of the first kind and that of the r-Stirling numbers of the first kind.
