$\boldsymbol{SU(3)_{C}\otimes SU(3)_{L}\otimes U(1)_{X}}$ models in view of the $750$ GeV diphoton signal

Diphoton decay for a 750 GeV scalar boson in a $SU(6)\otimes U(1)_{X}$ model

We propose a new $SU(6)\otimes U(1)_{X}$ GUT model free from anomalies, with a 750 GeV scalar candidate which can decay into two photons, compatible with the recent diphoton signal reported by ATLAS and CMS collaborations. This model gives masses to all fermions and may explain the 750GeV signal through one loop decays to $γγ$ with charged vector and charged Higgs bosons, as well as up- and electron-like exotic particles that arise naturally from the condition of cancellation of anomalies of the $SU(6)\otimes U(1)_{X}$ group. We propose the left-right models based on SU(3)_C\otimes SU(M)_L \otimes SU(N)_R \otimes U(1)_X gauge symmetry for (M,N)=(3,3), (2,3), and (3,2) that address the 750 GeV diphoton excess recently reported by the LHC. The fermion contents are minimally introduced, and the generation number must match the fundamental color number to cancel anomalies and ensure QCD asymptotic freedom. The Diphoton Excess, Low Energy Theorem and the 331 Model

We interpret the diphoton anomaly as a heavy scalar $H_3$ in the so-called 331 model. The scalar is responsible for breaking the $SU(3)_C\otimes SU(3)_L\otimes U(1)_X$ gauge symmetry down to the standard model electroweak gauge group. It mainly couples to the standard model gluons and photons through quantum loops involving heavy quarks and leptons. Those quarks and leptons, in together with the SM quarks and leptons, form the fundamental representation of the 331 model. Explaining the Higgs Decays at the LHC with an Extended Electroweak Model

We show that the recent discovery of a new boson at the LHC, which we assume to be a Higgs boson, and the observed enhancement in its diphoton decays compared to the SM prediction, can be explained by a new doublet of charged vector bosons from an extended electroweak gauge sector model with SU(3)$_C\otimesSU(3)_L\otimesU(1)_X$ symmetry. Our results show a good agreement between our theoretical expected sensitivity to a 126--125 GeV Higgs boson and the experimental significance observed in the diphoton channel at the 8 TeV LHC.
