The evolution of two-mode Gaussian state under symmetric amplification, non-symmetric damping and thermal noise is studied. The time dependent solution of the state characteristic function is obtained. The separability criterions are given for the final state of weak amplification as well as strong amplification.

The geometric measure of entanglement for a symmetric pure state with positive amplitudes

In this paper for a class of symmetric multiparty pure states we consider a conjecture related to the geometric measure of entanglement: 'for a symmetric pure state, the closest product state in terms of the fidelity can be chosen as a symmetric product state'. We show that this conjecture is true for symmetric pure states whose amplitudes are all non-negative in a computational basis. The more general conjecture is still open.

A More General Quantum Searching Algorithm And the Precise Formula of the Amplitude and the Non-symmetric Effects of Different Rotating Angles

This paper presented two general quantum search algorithms. We derived the iterated formulas and the simpler approximate formulas and the precise formula for the amplitude in the desired state. A mathematical proof of Grover's algorithm being optimal among the algorithms with arbitrary phase rotations was given in this paper. This first reported the non-symmetric effects of different rotating angles, and gave the first-order approximate phase condition when rotating angles are different.

Derivation of classical capacity of quantum channel for discrete information source

In this letter, we prove that the classical capacity of quantum channel for $M$ symmetric states is achieved by an uniform distribution on a priori probabilities. We also investigate non-symmetric cases such as a ternary amplitude shift keyed signal set and a 16-ary quadrature amplitude modulated signal set in coherent states.

Origin of maximal symmetry breaking in even PT-symmetric lattices

By investigating a parity and time-reversal (PT) symmetric, $N$-site lattice with impurities $\pm iγ$ and hopping amplitudes $t_0 (t_b)$ for regions outside (between) the impurity locations, we probe the origin of maximal PT-symmetry breaking that occurs when the impurities are nearest neighbors. A theory for wave mechanical systems with local inversion and translation symmetries is developed employing the two-dimensional solution space of the stationary Schrödinger equation. By studying the transmission amplitude for a localized complex potential, we elucidate the physical origin of the breakdown of perturbation method and Born approximation.
