The single field chaotic inflation model with a monomial power greater than one seems to be ruled out by the recent Planck and WMAP CMB data while Starobinsky model with a higher curvature term seems to be a viable model. Higher curvature terms being originated from quantum fluctuations, we revisit the quantum cosmology of the Wheeler-DeWitt equation for the chaotic inflation model. The semiclassical cosmology emerges from quantum cosmology with fluctuations of spacetimes and matter when the wave function is peaked around the semiclassical trajectory with quantum corrections a la the de Broglie-Bohm pilot theory.
``Eternal inflation'' is often confused with ``chaotic inflation''. Moreover, the term ``chaotic inflation'' is being used in three different meanings (all of them unrelated to eternal inflation). I make some suggestions in an effort to untangle this terminological mess. I also give a brief review of the origins of eternal inflation.
We show that anisotropic Bianchi type-IX models, with matter and cosmological constant have chaotic dynamics, connected to the presence of a saddle-center in phase space. The topology of cylinders emanating from unstable periodic orbits about the saddle-center provides an invariant characterization of chaos in the models. The model can be thought to describe the early stages of inflation, the way out to inflation being chaotic.
We show that homogeneous and isotropic cosmological models with radiation and scalar field have, in general, two possible chaotic exits to inflation. These models may describe the early stages of inflation. The central point of our analysis is based on the possible existence of one or two saddle-centers points in the phase space of the models.
The role of spin-torsion coupling to gravity is analyzed in the context of a model of chaotic inflation. The system of equations constructed from the Einstein-Cartan and inflaton field equations are studied and it is shown that spin-torsion interactions are effective only at the very first e-folds of inflation, becoming quickly negligible and, therefore, not affecting the standard inflationary scenario nor the density perturbations spectrum predictions.
In this work is shown that standard dynamical equations of the chaotic inflation for a massive real scalar field hold an especial local gauge symmetry. Given symmetry admits that inflation field mass can be considered as an especial "charge". Also, it is shown that given equations except expected $CPT$ symmetry, hold surprisingly, $C^{1/2}P^{1/2}T^{1/2}$ symmetry too.
Scalar density cosmological perturbations, spectral indices and reheating in a chaotic inflationary universe model, in which a higher derivative term is added, are investigated. This term is supposed to play an important role in the early evolution of the Universe, specifically at times closer to the Planck era.
The expected tensor-to-scalar ratio estimate of the upcoming CMB mission probe measurements may establish a lower value of the ratio than the currently obtained value. It can be described in terms of a single field chaotic inflation model along with the curvaton or quantum gravity or their combined effect. Consequently, the role of quantum gravity or curvaton in the dynamics of the early universe may not be ruled out. The curvaton scenario and quantum gravity effect can be tested experimentally.
In this paper, we investigate chaotic inflation from scalar field subjected to potential in the framework of $f(R^2, P, Q)$-gravity, where we add a correction to Einstein's gravity based on a function of the square of the Ricci scalar $R^2$, the contraction of the Ricci tensor $P$, and the contraction of the Riemann tensor $Q$. The Gauss-Bonnet case is also discussed. We give the general formalism of inflation, deriving the slow-roll parameters, the $e$-folds number, and the spectral indexes. Several explicit examples are furnished, namely we will consider the cases of massive scalar field and…
NMDC-Palatini cosmology in slow-roll regime is of our interests. We present flat FLRW cosmological NMDC-Palatini field equations and acceleration condition. Late time trajectory is approximated. Chaotic inflation potential is considered here as it is viable in a range of positive coupling constant as constrained by CMB results. Phase portraits show that the NMDC-Palatini gives new saddle-point solutions. In $V \propto ϕ^2$ potential, the NMDC-Palatini effect enlarges the acceleration-allowed region from that of GR case.
Chaotic inflation is inconsistent with the observational constraint at 68\% CL. Here, we show that the enhancement mechanism with a peak function in the noncanonical kinetic term not only helps the chaotic model $V(ϕ)=V_0ϕ^{1/3}$ satisfy the observational constraint at large scales but also enhances the primordial scalar power spectrum by seven orders of magnitude at small scales. The enhanced curvature perturbations can produce primordial black holes of different masses and secondary gravitational waves with different peak frequencies. We also show that the non-Gaussianities of curvature pert…
Inflation with a scalar-field potential of the form λ(ϕ^2-v^2)^2 can be described in terms of a parametrical attractor with critical points, whose driftage depends on the control value of the slowly changing Hubble rate. The method allows us to easily obtain theoretical expressions for fluctuations of inhomogeneity in both the cosmic microwave background and distribution of matter. We find the region for admissible values of potential parameters, wherein theoretical predictions are consistent with experimental results within the limits of measurement uncertainties.
A chaotic model of the early universe within the framework of the singularity-free solutions of Einstein's equation is suggested. The evolution of our universe at its early stage, starting out as a small domain of the parent universe, is governed by the dynamics of a classical scalar field $ϕ$ . If in any such domain, larger than Planck length,$\dot ϕ$ happens to be very large,$ϕ$ may develop a dominant inhomogeneous mode, leading to an anisotropic inflation of the universe. The particle $ϕ$ is coupled to other particles, which are produced copiously after inflation and these thermalize leading…
A new analytical approach to linear perturbations in anisotropic inflation has been introduced in [A. Talebian-Ashkezari, N. Ahmadi and A.A. Abolhasanib, JCAP 03(2018)001] under the name of $δM$ formalism. In this paper we apply the mentioned approach to a model of anisotropic inflation driven by a scalar field, coupled to the kinetic term of a vector field with a $U(1)$ symmetry. The $δM$ formalism provides an efficient way of computing tensor- tensor, tensor- scalar as well as scalar- scalar 2-point correlations that are needed for the analysis of the observational features of an anisotropic…
Stimulated with the recent discovery of B-mode by BICEP2, we discuss the relation between a Higgs inflation and a chaotic inflation with quadratic potential. Starting with a generalized Higgs inflation model, we derive a condition for obtaining the quadratic chaotic inflation. It is shown that the running of the Higgs self-coupling constant in the Jordan frame plays a decisive role when the generalized Higgs inflation model coincides with the Higgs inflation model in a small-field limit.
General Relativity is recovered from Brans-Dicke gravity in the limit of large $ω$. In this article we investigate theories of Brans-Dicke gravity with chaotic inflation, allowing for either a constant or variable value of $ω$, known as extended and hyperextended inflation respectively. The main focus of the paper is placed on the latter. The variation $ω$ with respect to the Brans-Dicke field is based on higher-order corrections analogous to those of the dilaton field in string theory, following the simple principle that the Brans-Dicke and metric fields decouple asymptotically. The question …
It is shown that in a number of scalar potentials with an unstable local maximum at the origin chaotic inflation is followed by new inflation if model parameters are appropriately chosen. In this model density fluctuation can have a large-amplitude peak on the comoving Hubble scale at the onset of the slow-roll new inflation and can result in formation of appreciable amount of primordial black holes on astrophysically interesting mass scales.
Conventional wisdom says that a chaotic inflation model with a power-law potential is ruled out by the recent Planck-BICEP/Keck results. We find, however, that the model can be assisted by a non-minimally coupled scalar field and still provides a successful inflation. Considering a power-law chaotic inflation model of the type $V\sim φ^n$ with $n=\{2, 4/3, 1, 2/3, 1/3\}$, we show that $n=1/3$ ($n=\{2/3, 1/3\}$) may be revived with the help of the quadratic (quartic) non-minimal coupling of the assistant field to gravity.
The bosonic f(R) gravity function is derived from a chiral F(R) supergravity model for the first time. We find an existence of the upper limit (or AdS bound) on the scalar curvature, as well as a solution with a vanishing cosmological constant. We compare our simple model of F(R) supergravity to the well known Starobinsky model of chaotic inflation.
We consider inflation within the context of what is arguably the simplest non-metric extension of Einstein gravity. There non-metricity is described by a single graviscalar field with a non-minimal kinetic coupling to the inflaton field $Ψ$, parameterized by a single parameter $γ$. We discuss the implications of non-metricity for chaotic inflation and find that it significantly alters the inflaton dynamics for field values $Ψ\gtrsim M_P/γ$, dramatically changing the qualitative behaviour in this regime. For potentials with a positive slope non-metricity imposes an upper bound on the possible n…
A generalization of the canonical and non-canonical theory of inflation is introduced in which the kinetic energy term in action is written as non-local term. The inflationary universe within the framework of considering this non-locality will be studied. To investigate the effects of non-locality on the inflationary parameters we consider two well known models of inflationary scenario includes of chaotic and exponential inflation proposals. For such scenarios some important parameters include slow roll parameters, scalar and tensor power spectra, spectral indices, the tensor-to-scalar ratio a…
We study chaotic inflation with a Galileon-like self interaction $G(ϕ,X)\Box ϕ$, where $G(ϕ,X)\propto X^{n}$. General conditions required for successful inflation are deduced and discussed from the background and cosmological perturbations under slow-roll approximation. Interestingly, it is found that in the regime where the Galileon term dominates over the standard kinetic term, the tensor-to-scalar ratio becomes significantly suppressed in comparison to the standard expression in General Relativity (GR). Particularly, we find the allowed range in the space of parameters characterizing the ch…
We investigate whether the eternal chaotic inflation can be achieved when the weak gravity conjecture is taken into account. We show that even the assisted chaotic inflation with potential $λϕ^4$ or $m^2ϕ^2$ can not be eternal. The effective field theory description for the inflaton field breaks down before inflation reaches the eternal regime. We also find that the total number of e-folds is still bounded by the inflationary entropy for the assisted inflation.
A simple model for chaotic inflation in supergravity is proposed. The model is N=1 supersymmetric massive U(1) gauge theory via the Stuckelberg superfield and gives rise to D-term inflation with a quadratic term of inflaton in the potential. The Fayet-Iliopoulos field plays a role of the inflaton.
The semiclassical approximation has frequently been used to describe the initial stage of particle production, often called preheating, which occurs after the inflationary epoch in chaotic models of inflation. During this phase backreaction effects from the produced particles on the inflaton field are significant, and one might be concerned about the validity of the semiclassical approximation, even though large backreaction effects are allowed if the inflaton field is coupled to a large number of quantum fields. A criterion is presented for the validity of the semiclassical approximation in t…
We describe a simple model of chaotic inflation in supergravity where one can easily tune not only the basic cosmological parameters such as n_{s}, r, and f_NL, but also a possible (subdominant) cosmic string contribution to the CMB anisotropy.
We study the embedding of the quadratic model of chaotic inflation into the 4D, N=1 minimal theories of supergravity by the use of massive vector multiplets and investigate its robustness against higher order corrections. In particular, we investigate the criterion of technical naturalness for the inflaton potential. In the framework of the new-minimal formulation the massive vector multiplet is built in terms of a real linear multiplet coupled to a vector multiplet via the 4D analog of the Green-Schwarz term. This theory gives rise to a single-field quadratic model of chaotic inflation, which…
We have found a successful model of chaotic inflation with an inflaton coupled nonminimally with gravity. The nonminimal coupling constant $ξ$ runs with the evolution of the inflaton. The running nature of the coupling leads naturally to the situations where the coupling becomes small enough to have sufficient period of the inflation to resolve the cosmological puzzles.
Within the framework of a model Universe with variable space dimension, we study chaotic inflation with the potential $m^2ϕ^2/2$, and calculate the dynamical solutions of the inflaton field, variable space dimension, scale factor, and their interdependence during the inflationary epoch. We show that the characteristic of the variability of the space dimension causes the inflationary epoch in the variable space dimension to last longer than the inflationary epoch in the constant space dimension.
We consider, in Palatini formalism, a modified gravity of which the scalar field derivative couples to Einstein tensor. In this scenario, Ricci scalar, Ricci tensor and Einstein tensor are functions of connection field. As a result, the connection field gives rise to relation, $h_{μν} = f g_{μν}$ between effective metric, $h_{μν}$ and the usual metric $g_{μν}$ where $f \,=\,1 - κϕ^{,α}ϕ_{,α}/2 $. In FLRW universe, NMDC coupling constant is limited in a range of $ -2/ \dotϕ^{2} < κ\leq \infty $ preserving Lorentz signature of the effective metric. Slowly-rolling regime provides $κ< 0$ forbiddin…
A reformulation of inflationary model analyses appeared recently, in which inflationary observables are determined by the structure of a pole in the inflaton kinetic term rather than the shape of the inflaton potential. We comprehensively study this framework with an arbitrary order of the pole taking into account possible additional poles in the kinetic term or in the potential. Depending on the setup, the canonical potential becomes the form of hilltop or plateau models, variants of natural inflation, power-law inflation, or monomial/polynomial chaotic inflation. We demonstrate attractor beh…
We illustrate a framework for constructing models of chaotic inflation where the inflaton is the position of a D3 brane along the universal cover of a string compactification. In our scenario, a brane rolls many times around a non-trivial one-cycle, thereby unwinding a Ramond-Ramond flux. These "flux monodromies" are similar in spirit to the monodromies of Silverstein, Westphal, and McAllister, and their four-dimensional description is that of Kaloper and Sorbo. Assuming moduli stabilization is rigid enough, the large-field inflationary potential is protected from radiative corrections by a di…
Particle production from vacuum fluctuations during inflation is briefly revisited. The moduli problem occurring with light particles produced at the end of inflation is addressed, namely the fact that some results are in disagreement with nucleosynthesis constrains. A universal solution to this problem is found which leads to reasonable reheating temperatures in all cases. It invokes the assumption that, immediately after inflation, the moduli evolve like non-relativistic matter. The assumption is justified in the context of massive chaotic inflation were, at the end of inflation, the univers…
We study the slow-roll inflationary dynamics in a self-gravitating induced gravity braneworld model with bulk cosmological constant. For E \gg M_{5}^{3}/M^{2}_{2} we find important corrections to the four-dimensional Friedmann equation which bring the standard chaotic inflationary scenario in closer agreement with recent observations. For λ/M^{3}_{5} \ll E \ll M^{3}_{5}/M^{2}_{4} we find five-dimensional corrections to the Friedmann equation, which give the known Randall-Sundrum results of the inflationary parameters.
We investigate the effect of adiabatic regularization on both the tensor- and scalar-perturbation power spectra in \textit{nonminimally} coupled chaotic inflation. Similar to that of the \textit{minimally} coupled general single-field inflation, we find that the subtraction term is suppressed by an exponentially decaying factor involving the number of $ e $-folds. By following the subtraction term long enough beyond horizon crossing, the regularized power spectrum tends to the "bare" power spectrum. This study justifies the use of the unregularized ("bare") power spectrum in standard calculati…
We investigate inflationary attractor points by analyzing non-minimally coupled single field inflation models in two opposite limits; the `flat' limit in which the first derivative of the conformal factor is small and the `steep' limit, in which the first derivative of the conformal factor is large. We consider a subset of models that yield Starobinsky inflation in the steep conformal factor, strong coupling, limit and demonstrate that they result in chaotic inflation in the opposite flat, weak coupling, limit. The suppression of higher order powers of the inflaton field in the potential is sh…
We discuss the general structure and observational consequences of some of the simplest versions of chaotic inflation in supergravity in relation to the data by Planck 2013 and BICEP2. We show that minimal modifications to the simplest quadratic potential are sufficient to provide a controllable tensor mode signal and a suppression of CMB power at large angular scales.
We analyze the interior geometry of static, spherically symmetric black holes of the Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs theory. Generically the solutions exhibit a behaviour that may be described as ``mass inflation'', although with a remarkable difference between the cases with and without a Higgs field. Without Higgs field the YM field induces a kind of cyclic behaviour leading to repeated cycles of mass inflation - taking the form of violent explosions - interrupted by quiescent periods and subsequent approaches to an almost Cauchy horizon. With the Higgs field no such cycles occur. In addition ther…
We study the presence of chaotic behavior in phase space in the pre-inflationary stage of hybrid inflation models. This is closely related to the problem of initial conditions associated to these inflationary type of models. We then show how an expected dissipative dynamics of fields just before the onset of inflation can solve or ease considerably the problem of initial conditions, driving naturally the system towards inflation. The chaotic behavior of the corresponding dynamical system is studied by the computation of the fractal dimension of the boundary, in phase space, separating inflatio…
We demonstrate the existence of chaos in realistic models of two-field inflation. The chaotic motion takes place after the end of inflation, when the fields are free to oscillate and their motion is only lightly damped by the expansion of the universe. We then investigate whether the presence of chaos affects the predictions of two-field models, and show that chaos enhances the production of topological defects and renders the growth rate of the universe sensitively dependent upon the ``initial'' conditions at the beginning of the oscillatory era.
We show that inflation with a quadratic potential occurs naturally in theories where an axion-like field mixes with a 4-form. Such an axion is massive, with the mass which arises from the mixing being protected by the axion shift symmetry. The 4-form backgrounds break this symmetry spontaneously and comprise a mini-landscape, where their fluxes can change by emission of membranes. Inflation can begin when the 4-form dominates the energy density. Eventually this energy is reduced by membrane emission and the axion can roll slowly towards its minimum, as in the simplest version of chaotic inflat…
Noncommutative inflation is based upon the consideration of some effects of the space-time uncertainty principle motivated by ideas from string/M theory. The CMB anisotropies may carry a signature of this very early Universe correction from the space-time uncertainty principle and can be used to place constraints on the parameters of the noncommutative inflation model. In this paper we analyze the noncommutative chaotic inflation model by means of the WMAP three year results. We show that the noncommutative chaotic inflation model can produce a large negative running of spectral index within a…
Assuming the space dimension is not constant but decreases during the expansion of the Universe, we study chaotic inflation with the potential $m^2ϕ^2/2$. Our investigations are based on a model Universe with variable space dimensions. We write down field equations in the slow-roll approximation, and define slow-roll parameters by assuming the number of space dimensions decreases continuously as the Universe expands. The dynamical character of the space dimension shifts the initial and final value of the inflaton field to larger values. We obtain an upper limit for the space dimension at the P…
If the recent measurement of B-mode polarization by BICEP2 is due to primordial gravitational waves, it implies that inflation was driven by energy densities at the GUT scale $M_{GUT} \sim 2\times 10^{16} GeV$. This favors single-field chaotic inflation models. These models require transplanckian excursions of the inflaton, forcing one to address the UV completion of the theory. We use a benchmark 4d effective field theory of axion-4-form inflation to argue that inflation driven by a quadratic potential (with small corrections) is well motivated in the context of high-scale string theory model…
We introduce a new class of models of chaotic inflation inspired by the superconformal approach to supergravity. This class of models allows a functional freedom of choice of the inflaton potential V = |f(ϕ)|^2. The simplest model of this type has a quadratic potential m^2ϕ^2/2. Another model describes an inflaton field with the standard symmetry breaking potential λ^2 (ϕ^2-v^2)^2. Depending on the value of v and on initial conditions for inflation, the spectral index n_s may take any value from 0.97 to 0.93, and the tensor-to-scalar ratio r may span the interval form 0.3 to 0.01. A generalize…
We study chaotic inflation driven by a real, massive, homogeneous minimally coupled scalar field in a flat Robertson-Walker spacetime. The semiclassical limit for gravity is considered, whereas the scalar field is treated quantum mechanically by the technique of invariants in order to also investigate the dynamics of the system for non-classical states of the latter. An inflationary stage is found to be possible for a large set of initial quantum states, obviously including the coherent ones. States associated with a vanishing mean value of the field (such as the vacuum and the thermal) can al…
We address the problem of the large initial field values in chaotic inflation and propose a remedy in the framework of the so-called assisted inflation. We demonstrate that a 4-dimensional theory of multiple, scalar fields with initial field values considerably below the Planck scale, can give rise to inflation even though none of the individual scalar fields are capable of driving inflation. The problems arising from the presence of possible non-renormalizable interactions is therefore removed. As a concrete example of a theory with multiple scalar fields, we consider a (4+d)-dimensional fiel…
The CMB power spectra are studied for different families of single field new and chaotic inflation models in the effective field theory approach to inflation. We implement a systematic expansion in 1/N_e where N_e ~ 50 is the number of e-folds before the end of inflation. We study the dependence of the observables (n_s, r and dn_s/d\ln k) on the degree of the potential (2 n) and confront them to the WMAP3 and large scale structure data: this shows in general that fourth degree potentials (n=2) provide the best fit to the data; the window of consistency with the WMAP3 and LSS data narrows for g…
A classical evolution in chaotic inflationary models starts at high energy densities with semi-classical initial conditions presumably consistent with universal quantum nature of all the fundamental forces. That is each quantum contributes the same amount to the energy density. We point out the upper limit on this amount inherent in this approach, so that all the quanta are inside the weak-coupling domain. We discuss this issue in realistic models with modified gravity, $R^2$- and Higgs-inflations, emphasizing the specific change of the initial conditions with metric frame, while all the quant…
I describe the first model of chaotic inflation in supergravity, which was proposed by Goncharov and the present author in 1983. The inflaton potential of this model has a plateau-type behavior $V_{0} (1- {8\over 3}\, e^{-\sqrt 6 |ϕ|})$ at large values of the inflaton field. This model predicts $n_{s} = 1-{2\over N} \approx 0.967$ and $r = {4\over 3 N^{2}} \approx 4 \times 10^{-4}$, in good agreement with the Planck data. I propose a slight generalization of this model, which allows to describe not only inflation but also dark energy and supersymmetry breaking.
A model of chaotic inflation based on the theory of a scalar field with potential λϕ^4 perfectly matches the observational data if one adds to it a tiny non-minimal coupling to gravity -ξ/2 ϕ^2 R with ξ> 0.002. We describe embedding of this model into the superconformal theory with spontaneous breaking of superconformal symmetry, and into supergravity. A model with small ξis technically natural: setting the small parameter ξto zero leads to a point of enhanced symmetry in the underlying superconformal theory.
We consider slow-roll inflation in the context of recently proposed four-dimensional effective gravity induced on the world-volume of a three-brane in five-dimensional Einstein gravity. We find significant modifications of the simplest chaotic inflationary scenario when the five-dimensional Planck scale is below about 10^{17} GeV. We use the comoving curvature perturbation, which remains constant on super-Hubble scales, in order to calculate the spectrum of adiabatic density perturbations generated. Modifications to the Friedmann constraint equation lead to a faster Hubble expansion at high en…
On compactification from higher dimensions, a single free massive scalar field gives rise to a set of effective four-dimensional scalar fields, each with a different mass. These can cooperate to drive a period of inflation known as assisted inflation. We analyze the dynamics of the simplest implementation of this idea, paying particular attention to the decoupling of fields from the slow-roll regime as inflation proceeds. Unlike normal models of inflation, the dynamics does not become independent of the initial conditions at late times. In particular, we estimate the density perturbations obta…
Yes, if the universe has compact topology. Inflation is currently the most elegant explanation of why the universe is old, large, nearly flat, homogeneous on large scales and structured on small scales. One of the weaknesses of the inflationary paradigm is the problem of initial conditions for inflation: the pre-inflationary universe must be somewhat old, somewhat large and somewhat homogeneous. These initial condition requirements are even more severe in Omega < 1 inflationary models: if the universe does not inflate enough to appear flat, then it does not inflate enough to appear homogeneous…
Recently, a model of inflation using non-minimally coupled massive vector fields has been proposed. For a particular choice of non-minimal coupling parameter and for a flat FRW model, the model is reduced to the model of chaotic inflation with massive scalar field. We study the effect of non-zero curvature of the universe on the onset of vector inflation. We find that in a curved universe the dynamics of vector inflation can be different from chaotic inflation, and the fraction of the initial conditions leading to inflationary solutions is reduced compared with the chaotic inflation case.
Recently there was an extensive discussion of Higgs inflation in the theory with the potential λ(ϕ^2-v^2)^2 and nonminimal coupling to gravity {ξ\over 2}ϕ^2R, for ξ>> 1 and v<< 1. We extend this investigation to the theories m^2ϕ^2 and λ(ϕ^2-v^2)^2 with arbitrary values of ξand v and describe implementation of these models in supergravity. We analyze observational consequences of these models and find a surprising coincidence of the inflationary predictions of the model λ(ϕ^2-v^2)^2 with ξ<0 in the limit |ξ|v^2 \to 1 with the predictions of the Higgs inflation scenario for ξ>> 1.
We investigate the scalar perturbation of the inflation model driven by a massive-scalar field in Eddington-inspired Born-Infeld gravity. We focus on the perturbation at the attractor stage in which the first and the second slow-roll conditions are satisfied. The scalar perturbation exhibits the corrections to the chaotic inflation model in general relativity. We find that the tensor-to-scalar ratio becomes smaller than that of the usual chaotic inflation.

Motivated by the result of Planck+BICEP/Keck recently released, we investigate the consistency of the multi-field inflation models in terms of the spectral index $n_s$ and the tensor-to-scalar ratio $r$. In this study, we focus on double-inflaton models with and without a spectator field. We find that inflaton with a quadratic potential can become viable when three fields with a specific hierarchical mass spectrum are realized such that two fields act as inflatons and the other one is the spectator. We also discuss the conditions to avoid the fine-tuning, by careful study of how the prediction…
