We propose a model to study the importance of double parton scattering (DPS) in Mueller-Navelet jets production at the LHC which is consistent with the BFKL framework used to compute the single parton scattering contribution to this process. We study this model in kinematics corresponding to existing and possible future measurements at the LHC and estimate the importance of this DPS contribution on relevant observables for this process, namely the cross section and the azimuthal correlation of the jets.
We summarize recent developments in the study of high-energy resummation effects in Mueller-Navelet jets production at the LHC and discuss possible relations with multiparton interactions.

We study effects related to violation of energy-momentum conservation inherent to the BFKL approach, in the particular case of Mueller-Navelet jets production. We argue, based on the comparison of the lowest order non trivial corrections $\mathcal{O}(α_s^3)$ to the cross section with predictions of an exact calculation, that the inclusion of next-to-leading order BFKL corrections to the jet production vertex significantly reduces the importance of these effects.

We describe two different important measurements to be performed at the LHC. The Mueller Navelet jet and jet gap jet cross section represent a test of BFKL dynamics and we perform a NLL calculation of these processes and compare it with recent Tevatron measurements. The study of the $WWγγ$ couplings at the LHC using the forward detectors proposed in the ATLAS Forward Physics project as an example allows to probe higgsless and extradimension models via anomalous quartic couplings since the reach is improved by four orders of magnitude with respect to the LEP results.

The measurement of azimuthal correlations of Mueller-Navelet jets is generally considered as a decisive test to reveal the effect of BFKL dynamics at hadron colliders. We discuss the production of forward jets in high energy processes where one probes a dense hadronic wavefunction. In particular, and as a signature of parton saturation, we discuss the possibility of a strong momentum decorrelation in Mueller-Navelet jets which leads to a geometric scaling behavior.

We discuss the azimuthal angle decorrelation of Mueller-Navelet jets at hadron colliders and forward jets in Deep Inelastic Scattering within the BFKL framework with a NLO kernel. We stress the need of collinear improvements to obtain good perturbative convergence. We provide estimates of these decorrelations for large rapidity differences at the Tevatron, LHC and HERA.
We study the correlation in azimuthal angle between Mueller-Navelet jets produced in hadron-hadron collisions. We argue that this observable would test the BFKL approach at next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. In order to motivate such a measurement, we give predictions for jets separated by large rapidity intervals within the Tevatron and LHC ranges.
We present a method for improving the phenomenological description of Mueller-Navelet jets at LHC, which is based on matching the BFKL resummation with fixed order calculations. We point out the need of a consistent identification of jets between experimental measurements and theoretical descriptions. We hope as well to motivate an extensive analysis of MN jets at LHC in run 2.
We calculate the next-to-leading corrections to the jet vertex which is relevant for the Mueller-Navelet-jets production in p-pbar collisions and for the forward jet cross section in e-p collisions. We investigate different final state features in Mueller-Navelet jets events at hadron colliders. The focus lies on the average rapidity ratio between subsequent minijet emissions which has been investigated in previous works but now is modified to also incorporate the transverse momenta together with the rapidities of the emitted jets. We consider within QCD collinear factorization the process $p+p\to {\rm jet} +{\rm jet} +X$, where two forward high-$p_T$ jets are produced with a large separation in rapidity $Δy$ (Mueller-Navelet jets [1]). The hard part of the reaction receives large higher-order corrections $\sim α^n_s (Δy)^n$, which can be accounted for in the BFKL approach. We calculate cross section and azimuthal decorrelation, using the next-to-leading order jet vertices, in the small-cone approximation [2].

In high energy hadron-hadron collisions, dijet production with large rapidity separation proposed by Mueller and Navelet, is one of the most interesting processes which can help us to directly access the well-known Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov evolution dynamics. The objective of this work is to study the Sudakov resummation of Mueller-Navelet jets. We study the production of Mueller-Navelet jets at 13 TeV LHC, within collinear factorization and including the BFKL resummation of energy logarithms in the next-to-leading approximation. We calculate several azimuthal correlations for different values of the rapidity separation $Y$ between the two jets and evaluate the effect of excluding those events where, for a given $Y$, one of the two jets is produced in the central region.
We calculate in next-to-leading order BFKL the jet vertex relevant for the production of Mueller-Navelet jets in proton collisions and of forward jets in deep inelastic scattering. Starting from the definition of the totally inclusive quark and gluon impact factors in the BFKL approach and suitably considering the parton densities and the jet selection functions, we show that an infrared-free result can be found for the jet vertex. Finally we compare our expression for the vertex with the previous calculation of Refs. 1.
We critically examine the definition of dijet cross sections at large rapidity intervals in hadron-hadron collisions, taking proper account of the various cuts applied in a realistic experimental setup. We argue that the dependence of the cross section on the precise definition of the parton momentum fractions and the presence of an upper bound on the momentum transfer cannot be neglected, and we provide the relevant modifications to the analytical formulae by Mueller and Navelet. We argue that the production of Mueller-Navelet jets at the LHC represents a convenient environment to study gluon saturation and high energy scattering in the presence of unitarity corrections. We show that, in a suitable range of transverse momenta for the produced jets, the cross section for the partonic subprocess should exhibit geometric scaling. In this contribution we study azimuthal angle decorrelation in inclusive dijet cross sections taking into account the next-to-leading (NLO) corrections to the BFKL kernel while keeping the jet vertices at leading order. We show how the angular decorrelation for jets with a wide relative separation in rapidity largely decreases when the NLO corrections are included.
We investigate small-x QCD effects in forward-jet production in deep inelastic scattering in the kinematic regime where the virtuality of the photon and the transverse momentum of the jet are two hard scales of about the same magnitude. We show that the data from HERA published by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations are well described by leading-logarithmic BFKL predictions. Parametrizations containing saturation effects expected to be relevant at higher energies also compare well to the present data. We calculate in the next-to-leading order the impact factor (vertex) for the production of a forward high-$p_T$ jet, in the approximation of small aperture of the jet cone in the pseudorapidity-azimuthal angle plane. The final expression for the vertex turns out to be simple and easy to implement in numerical calculations.
We introduce a generating function for the coefficients of the leading logarithmic BFKL Green's function in transverse-momentum space, order by order in alpha_s, in terms of single-valued harmonic polylogarithms. As an application, we exhibit fully analytic azimuthal-angle and transverse-momentum distributions for Mueller-Navelet jet cross sections at each order in alpha_s. We also provide a generating function for the total cross section valid to any number of loops.

We show that a measurement of the relative azimuthal angle ΔΦbetween the jets can provide a good testing ground for corrections due to next-leading logarithms (NLL). The next-to-leading corrections to the jet vertex which is relevant for the Mueller-Navelet jets production in hadronic collisions and for the forward jet cross section in lepton-hadron collisions are presented in the context of a k_t factorizazion formula which resums the leading and next-to-leading logarithms of the energy. Both the quark- and gluon-initiated contribution are now computed. This completes the framework for a full phenomenological analysis of Mueller-Navelet jets in NL log(s) approximation. Forward jets phenomenology still requires the NL photon impact factor.
We briefly review observables that were recently proposed in inclusive 3 jet production at hadronic colliders. They are based on azimuthal angle correlations between the final state jets and can be seen as a generalisation of the usual Mueller-Navelet setup. We discuss the stability of the observables once higher order corrections beyond the leading logarithmic accuracy are taken into account. In the spirit of Mueller-Navelet dijet production, we propose and study the inclusive production of a forward $J/ψ$ and a very backward jet at the LHC as an observable to reveal high-energy resummation effects à la BFKL. We obtain several predictions, which are based on the various mechanisms discussed in the literature to describe the production of the $J/ψ$, namely, NRQCD singlet and octet contributions, and the color evaporation model.
We numerically study for the first time the nonlinear GLR-MQ evolution equations for nuclear parton distribution function (nPDFs) to next-to-leading order accuracy and quantify the impact of gluon recombination at small $x$. Using the nCTEQ15 nPDFs as input, we confirm the importance of the nonlinear corrections for small $x \lesssim 10^{-3}$, whose magnitude increases with a decrease of $x$ and an increase of the atomic number $A$. We find that at $x=10^{-5}$ and for heavy nuclei, after the upward evolution from $Q_0=2$ GeV to $Q=10$ GeV, the quark singlet $Ω(x,Q^2)$ and the gluon $G(x,Q^2)$ …
Ratios of azimuthal angle correlations for Mueller-Navelet jets are compared in QCD and N = 4 SYM. Such observables are well suited to study the effects of Moebius invariance in the Regge limit. The role of the renormalization prescription and the size of conformal contributions is addressed, showing that the BLM procedure best reproduces the N = 4 SYM results.

It is argued that the gluon density introduced by A.Mueller in relation to the saturation phenomenon is different from the standardly defined one, which turned out to have a soliton-like form in the numerical calculations. It is shown that A.Mueller's densities obtained from the latter possess the same saturation properties as originally predicted.
