We propose a three loop radiative neutrino mass scenario with an isolated doubly charged singlet scalar $k^{\pm\pm}$ without couplings to the charged leptons, while two other singly charged scalars $h_1^\pm$ and $h_2^\pm$ attach to them. In this setup, the lepton flavor violation originating from $k^{\pm\pm}$ exchanges is suppressed and the model is less constrained, where some couplings can take sizable values. As reported in our previous work, the loop suppression factor at the three loop level would be too strong and realized neutrino masses in a three loop scenario could be smaller than the observed minuscule values. The sizable couplings can help us to enhance neutrino masses without drastically large scalar trilinear couplings appearing in a neutrino mass matrix, which tends to drive the vacuum stability to become jeopardized at the one loop level. Now the doubly charged scalar $k^{\pm\pm}$ has less constraint via lepton flavor violation and the vacuum can be quite stable, and thus a few hundred GeV mass in $k^{\pm\pm}$ is possible, which is within the LHC reach and this model can be tested in the near future. Note that the other $h_1^\pm$ and $h_2^\pm$ should be heavy at least around a few TeV. We suitably arrange the charges of an additional global $U(1)$ symmetry, where the decay constant of the associated Nambu-Goldstone boson can be around a TeV scale consistently. Also, this model is indirectly limited through a global analysis on results of the LHC Higgs search and issues on a dark matter candidate, the lightest Majorana neutrino. After $h_1^\pm$ and $h_2^\pm$ are decoupled, this particle couples to the standard model particles only through two charge parity even scalars in theory and thus information on this scalar sector is important. Consistent solutions are found, but a part of them is now on the edge.
The graph of neutrinoless double beta decay is applied to HERA and generalized to final states with any two charged leptons. Considered is the case in which one of the two escapes typical identification criteria and the case when a produced tau decays hadronically. Both possibilities give one isolated lepton with high transverse momentum, hadronic activity and an imbalance in transverse momentum. We examine the kinematical properties of these events and compare them with the high p_T isolated leptons reported by the H1 collaboration. Their positive charged muon events can be explained by the `…
We show how neutrino mixing leads to a softening of the UV behavior of neutrino loops, and can give rise to anomaly-like, but manifestly UV finite amplitudes. This mechanism may be of special significance for the coupling of dark matter-like particles to the Standard Model, as we illustrate with a one-loop example involving the coupling to $W$-bosons.
We extend some two Higgs doublet models, where the Yukawa couplings for the charged fermion mass generation only involve one Higgs doublet, by two singlet scalars respectively carrying a singly electric charge and a doubly electric charge. The doublet and singlet scalars together can mediate a two-loop diagram to generate a tiny Majorana mass matrix of the standard model neutrinos. Remarkably, the structure of the neutrino mass matrix is fully determined by the symmetric Yukawa couplings of the doubly charged scalar to the right-handed leptons. Meanwhile, a one-loop induced neutrinoless double…
In the context of a left-right extension of the standard model of quarks and leptons with the addition of a gauged $U(1)_D$ dark symmetry, it is shown how the electron may obtain a radiative mass in one loop and two Dirac neutrinos obtain masses in three loops.
We discuss the linkage between dark matter mass in the one-loop radiative seesaw model and the effective neutrino mass for the neutrino less double beta decay. This linkage, which has been already numerically suggested, is confirmed to be a reasonable relationship by deriving analytical expressions for two zero flavor neutrino mass texture.
We discuss Majorana neutrino mass generation mechanisms at the two-loop order. After briefly reviewing the systematic classification of one-loop realizations, we then focus on a general two-loop classification scheme which provides a model-independent catalog for neutrino mass models at the two-loop order
The renormalization group (RG) running of the neutrino mass operator is required for comparing the predictions of neutrino models at high energy with the experimental data at low energies. In the type I seesaw scenario with n_G right-handed neutrinos, the RG running is also performed in the effective theories above and between the thresholds given by the masses of the right-handed neutrinos. At these thresholds, the effective theories are matched. When calculating the two-loop RG running, the matching has to be performed at the one-loop level. In this work, we calculate the one-loop matching f…
We calculate the two-loop beta functions of the right-handed neutrino mass matrix in the Standard Model extended with right-handed neutrinos. We show that two-loop quantum effects induced by the heavier right-handed neutrinos can induce sizable contributions (sometimes dominant) to the physical masses of the lighter right-handed neutrinos. These effects can significantly affect the masses of the active neutrinos in the seesaw mechanism and the low energy phenomenology.
We study the generation of small neutrino masses from the dimension six effective operator at tree level and one-loop level, the neutrinos are assumed to be Dirac particles. We find out all possible tree and one-loop diagrams which lead to finite neutrino masses. The relevant mediator fields and the predictions for neutrino masses are presented. The lower order contributions to neutrino masses can be forbidden by introducing soft breaking abelian symmetry or finite non-abelian symmetry. The messengers inside the loop can be dark matter particles. The possible dark matter candidates and the cor…
Neutrino mass patterns and mixing have been studied in the context of next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM) with three gauge singlet neutrino superfields. We consider the case with the assumption of R-parity conservation. The vacuum expectation value of the singlet scalar field $S$ of NMSSM induces the Majorana masses for the right-handed neutrinos as well as the usual $μ$-term. The contributions to the light neutrino mass matrix at the tree level as well as one-loop level are considered, consistent with the tri-bimaximal pattern of neutrino mixing. Light neutrino masses arise …
One loop correction to the dark matter (DM) annihilation cross section is usually assumed to be sub-dominate in calculating the DM relic density. In this paper, we propose a scenario where DM freezes out mainly via loops in the neutrino portal. For a scalar DM annihilating into neutrino via a triangle diagram, or a Majorana DM annihilating into neutrino via a box diagram, the observed DM relic density can be generated if the mediator is Majorana fermion. We further work out the neutrino Debye mass and neutrino oscillation probabilities in the dark halo. Numerical results show that impactions o…
We provide, in the R-parity violating supersymmetric standard model, a comprehensive analysis for sneutrino minimization from the one-loop effective scalar potential, and also for one-loop renormalized neutrino masses and mixing by calculating the effective neutrino mass matrix in the weak basis. Applying our results to theories with gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking, we show how atmospheric and solar neutrino oscillations can be accommodated simultaneously in this framework. It is observed that the one-loop correction to sneutrino vacuum expectation values leads to a significant effect on…
Babu studied the neutrino spectrum obtained when one adds a charged singlet and a doubly charged singlet to the standard model particle spectrum. It was found that the neutrinos acquire a mass matrix at the two-loop level which contains one massless eigenstate. The mass matrix of Babu's model depends on an integral over the undetermined loop momenta. We present the exact calculation of this integral.
Dark matter is usually distinguished from ordinary matter by an odd-even parity, i.e. the discrete symmetry Z_2. The new idea of Z_3 dark matter is proposed with a special application to generating radiative Majorana neutrino masses in two-loop order.
A connection between the neutrino and an exotic fermion is described in the general neutrino model. In this model the neutrinos can convert into the new fermion and thus the interaction leads to novel recoil spectrum in the neutrino scattering experiments. We study the general neutrino interaction by evaluating both the tree-level and loop-level contributions to the coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering. We illustrate the scattering by taking the framework of a simplified neutrino model with a Dirac fermion $χ$ and a spin-0 mediator. For the CP phase in the quark sector being 0 and $π/2…
We compute the one-loop running of the dimension-six CP-even Higgs operators in the Standard Model effective field theory involving the right-handed component of the would-be Dirac neutrinos. We discuss the implications of a large Dirac neutrino magnetic dipole moment. In particular, we demonstrate that a neutrino magnetic moment explaining the recent XENON1T excess induces Higgs and $Z$ invisible decays with branching ratios in the range $[10^{-18}, 10^{-12}]$. These numbers are unfortunately beyond the reach of current and near future facilities.
We propose a two-loop induced neutrino mass model, in which we show some bench mark points to satisfy the observed neutrino oscillation, the constraints of lepton flavor violations, and the relic density in the co-annihilation system satisfying the current upper bound on the spin independent scattering cross section with nuclei. We also discuss new sources of muon anomalous magnetic moment.
In the standard seesaw model, finite corrections to the neutrino mass matrix arise from one-loop self-energy diagrams mediated by heavy neutrinos. We discuss the impact that these corrections may have on the different entries of the tree-level effective neutrino mass matrix, paying special attention to their dependence with the seesaw model parameters. We also briefly comment on the implications these corrections might have on low-energy neutrino observables.
We study the cocktail model in which the Majorana neutrino masses are generated by the so-called "cocktail" three-loop diagrams with the dark matter particle running in the loops. In particular, we give the correct analytic expressions of the neutrino masses in the model by the detailed calculation of the cocktail diagrams. Based on the reliable numerical calculation of the loop integrals, we explore the parameter space which can give the correct orders of neutrino masses while satisfying other experimental constraints, such as those from the neutrinoless double beta decay, low-energy lepton f…
We discuss the generation of small neutrino masses from d=7 1-loop diagrams. We first systematically analyze all possible d=7 1-loop topologies. There is a total of 48 topologies, but only 8 of these can lead to "genuine" d=7 neutrino masses. Here, we define genuine models to be models in which neither d=5 nor d=7 tree-level masses nor a d=5 1-loop mass appear, such that the d=7 1-loop is the leading order contribution to the neutrino masses. All genuine models can then be organized w.r.t. their particle content. We find there is only one diagram with no representation larger than triplet, whi…
In the generic supersymmetric standard model which had no global symmetry enforced by hand, lepton number violation is a natural consequence. Supersymmetry, hence, can be considered the source of experimentally demanded beyond standard model properties for the neutrinos. With an efficient formulation of the model, we perform a comprehensive detailed analysis of all one-loop contributions to neutrino masses.
Within the framework of the standard model plus one heavy Higgs triplet, we derive a full set of one-loop renormalization group equations of the neutrino mass matrix and Higgs couplings in both full and effective theories. The explicit RGEs of neutrino masses, flavor mixing angles and CP-violating phases are also obtained, and their non-trivial running behaviors around the Higgs triplet mass threshold are numerically illustrated.
The one-loop electroweak radiative corrections to coherent forward neutrino scattering in a medium slightly violates the tree-level universality of neutral-current contributions of three neutrino flavors to the matter potential that is relevant to neutrino oscillations in matter. We examine this small but nontrivial quantum effect by deriving the differential equations of those effective neutrino oscillation quantities with respect to the electron number density of matter. The tree-level Toshev relation $\sin 2\tildeθ_{23} \sin\tildeδ = \sin 2θ_{23} \sinδ$, which links the fundamental flavor-m…
We study charged lepton flavor violation for the three most popular 3-loop Majorana neutrino mass models. We call these models "minimal" since their particle content correspond to the minimal sets for which genuine 3-loop models can be constructed. In all the three minimal models the neutrino mass matrix is proportional to some powers of Standard Model lepton masses, providing additional suppression factors on top of the expected loop suppression. To correctly explain neutrino masses, therefore large Yukawa couplings are needed in these models. We calculate charged lepton flavor violating obse…
We propose a model with radiatively induced neutrino mass at two-loop level, applying modular $A_4$ symmetry. The neutrino mass matrix is formulated where the structure of associated couplings are restricted by the symmetry. Then we show several predictions in the lepton sector, satisfying lepton flavor violations as well as neutrino oscillation data. We also discuss muon anomalous magnetic moment and briefly comment on dark matter candidate.
A two-loop induced radiative neutrino model is proposed as an extension of our previous work in which the first and second generation standard model fermion masses are generated at one-loop level in both quark and lepton sectors. Then we discuss current neutrino oscillation data, lepton flavor violations, muon anomalous magnetic moment, and a bosonic dark matter candidate, for both the normal and inverted neutrino mass hierarchy. Our numerical analysis shows that less hierarchical Yukawa coupling constants can fit the experimental data with TeV scale dark matter.
We study the gauged U(1)_{B-L} extensions of the models for neutrino masses and dark matter. In this class of models, tiny neutrino masses are radiatively induced through the loop diagrams, while the origin of the dark matter stability is guaranteed by the remnant of the gauge symmetry. Depending on how the lepton number is violated in the neutrino mass diagrams, these models are systematically classified. We present a complete list for the one-loop Z_2 and the two-loop Z_3 neutrino mass models as examples of the classification. These underlying gauge symmetries and its breaking patterns can b…
We present a model that generates small neutrino masses at three-loop level due to the existence of Majorana fermionic dark matter, which is stabilized by a Z2 symmetry. The model predicts that the lightest neutrino is massless. We show a prototypical parameter choice allowed by relevant experimental data, which favors the case of normal neutrino mass spectrum and the dark matter with m \sim 50-135 GeV and a sizable Yukawa coupling. It means that new particles can be searched for in future e+e- collisions.
In the standard seesaw model, finite corrections to the neutrino mass matrix arise from one-loop self-energy diagrams mediated by a heavy neutrino. We discuss the impact that these corrections may have on the different low-energy neutrino observables paying special attention to their dependence with the seesaw model parameters. It is shown that sizable deviations from the tri-bimaximal mixing pattern can be obtained when these corrections are taken into account.
If neutrinos are Dirac particles, their right-handed partners must be present in the theory. Once introduced in the Standard Model (SM), the difference between the baryon number $B$ and the lepton number $L$ can be promoted to a local $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry since the corresponding gauge anomalies can be canceled by the right-handed neutrinos. Furthermore, the extremely small neutrino mass can be explained naturally if it is originated from the quantum correction. In this work, we propose simplest models of radiative Dirac neutrino mass using only $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry, and without introducing a…
We propose a model which is a simple extension of the KSVZ invisible axion model with an inert doublet scalar. Peccei-Quinn symmetry forbids tree-level neutrino mass generation and its remnant $Z_2$ symmetry guarantees dark matter stability. The neutrino masses are generated by one-loop effects as a result of the breaking of Peccei-Quinn symmetry through a nonrenormalizable interaction. Although the low energy effective model coincides with an original scotogenic model which contains right-handed neutrinos with large masses, it is free from the strong $CP$ problem.
Using the Weinberg operator, we present a full collection of genuine two-loop models for neutrino mass generation, which contain a dark matter particle as one of the internal messengers. These models can be constructed simply by adding new fields that are singlets or doublets of SU(2)L. We ensure the stability of the dark matter candidate by the addition of a Z2 symmetry that will also be used to forbid tree level or one-loop diagrams. Thus we only present models where the main contribution for neutrinos masses is generated from the corresponding two-loop diagram. We also discuss a short outli…
We consider the Peccei-Quinn (PQ) mechanism as the one behind the Dirac neutrino masses when these are generated through the $d=5$ effective operator $\bar{L}\tilde{H}N_Rϕ$ at one loop level, with $ϕ$ being a Standard Model singlet scalar. In this setup, the PQ symmetry guarantees that the one-loop realization of such an effective operator gives the leading contribution to the Dirac neutrino masses by forbidding the contributions arising from its tree level realizations. All the mediators in the one-loop neutrino mass diagrams can be stabilized by a remnant $Z_N$ symmetry from the PQ symmetry …
We explore the possibility to explain a bosonic dark matter candidate with a gauge singlet inside the loop to generate the neutrino mass matrix at two-loop level. The mass matrix is suppressed by a small mixing that comes from the bound on {direct detection experiments of the dark matter, and equivalent of the three-loop neutrino model due to the small mixing between neutral inert bosons. Here, our setup is} the Zee-Babu type scenario with $Z_3$ discrete symmetry, in which we consider the neutrino oscillation data, lepton flavor violations, muon $g-2$, $μ-e$ conversion rate, lepton flavor-chan…
The neutrino masses and mixings are studied in the model which is the supersymmetric extension of the standard model with local gauged baryon and lepton numbers(BLMSSM). At tree level the neutrinos can obtain tiny masses through the See-Saw mechanism in the BLMSSM. The one-loop corrections to the neutrino masses and mixings are important, and they are studied in this work with the mass insertion approximation. We study the numerical results and discuss the allowed parameter space of BLMSSM. It can contribute to study the neutrino masses and to explore the new physics beyond the standard model(…
We extend the scalar sector of the neutrinophilic two Higgs doublet model, where small masses of Dirac neutrinos are obtained via a small vacuum expectation value v_nu of the neutrinophilic SU(2)_L-doublet scalar field which has a Yukawa interaction with only right-handed neutrinos. A global U(1)_X symmetry is used for the neutrinophilic nature of the second SU(2)_L-doublet scalar field and also for eliminating Majorana mass terms of neutrinos. By virtue of an appropriate assignment of the U(1)_X-charges to new particles, our model has an unbroken Z_2 symmetry, under which the lightest Z_2-odd…
The magnetic moment and vanishing charge of a Dirac neutrino are physically observable quantities and must not depend on the choice of gauge in a consistent quantum field theory. We verify this statement explicitly at the one loop level in both R_xi and unitary gauges of the minimally extended standard model. We accomplish this by manipulating directly the integrands of loop integrals and employing simple algebraic identities and integral relations. Our result generally applies for any masses of the relevant particles and unitary neutrino mixing.
We propose a model in which the origin of neutrino mass is dependent on the existence of dark matter. Neutrinos acquire mass at the three-loop level and the dark matter is the neutral component of a fermion triplet. We show that experimental constraints are satisfied and that the dark matter can be tested in future direct-detection experiments. Furthermore, the model predicts a charged scalar that can be within reach of collider experiments like the LHC.
We propose a one-loop neutrino mass model with several $SU(2)_L$ multiplet fermions and scalar fields in which the inert feature of a scalar to realize the one-loop neutrino mass can be achieved by the cancellation among Higgs couplings thanks to non-trivial terms in the Higgs potential and to present it in a simpler way. Then we discuss our typical cut-off scale by computing renormalization group equation for $SU(2)_L$ gauge coupling, lepton flavor violations, muon anomalous magnetic moment, possibility of dark matter candidate, neutrino mass matrix satisfying the neutrino oscillation data. F…
Neutrino oscillation experiments are known to be sensitive to Non-Standard Interactions (NSIs). We extend the NSI formalism to include one-loop effects. We discuss universal effects induced by corrections to the tree level W exchange, as well as non-universal effects that can arise from scalar charged current interactions. We show how the parameters that can be extracted from the experiments are obtained from various loop amplitudes, which include vertex corrections, wave function renormalizations, mass corrections as well as box diagrams. As an illustrative example, we discuss NSIs at one loo…
By using the $L_e$ - $L_μ$ - $L_τ$ symmetry, we construct an $SU(3)_L\times U(1)_N$ gauge model that provides two-loop radiative neutrino masses as well as one-loop radiative neutrino masses. The generic smallness of two-loop neutrino masses leading to $Δm^2_\odot$ compared with one-loop neutrino masses leading to $Δm^2_{atm}$ successfully explains $Δm^2_{atm}$ $>>$ $Δm^2_{\odot}$ by invoking the $L_e$ - $L_μ$ - $L_τ$ breaking. The Higgs scalar ($h^+$) that initiates radiative mechanisms is unified into a Higgs triplet together with the standard Higgs scalar ($ϕ^+$, $ϕ^0$) to form ($ϕ^+$, $ϕ^0…
We present new formulae for the neutrino masses generated by R-parity violating interactions within minimal supersymmetric standard model. The importance of inclusion of CP phases in the neutrino mass matrix is discussed in detail.
A recent paper investigated minimal R$ν$MDM models with the type T1-iii and T3 one-loop topologies. However, the candidate most-minimal model does not possess an accidental symmetry - the scalar potential contains an explicit symmetry breaking term, rendering the dark matter unstable. We present two models that cure this problem. However, we further show that all of the proposed minimal one-loop R$ν$MDM models suffer from a second problem - an additional source of explicit $Z_2$ symmetry breaking in the Yukawa sector. We perform a more-general analysis to show that neutrino mass models using e…
We study a class of three-loop models for neutrino mass in which dark matter plays a key role in enabling the mass diagram. The simplest models in this class have Majorana dark matter and include the proposal of Krauss, Nasri and Trodden; we identify the remaining related models, including the viable colored variants. The next-to-simplest models use either more multiplets and/or a slight modification of the loop-diagram, and predict inert N-tuplet scalar dark matter.
We provide a complete systematic classification of all two-loop realizations of the dimension four operator for Dirac neutrino masses. Our classification is multi-layered, starting first with a classification in terms of all possible distinct two-loop topologies. Then we discuss the possible diagrams for each topology. Model-diagrams originating from each diagram are then considered. The criterion for genuineness is also defined and discussed at length. Finally, as examples, we construct two explicit models which also serve to highlight the intimate connection between the Dirac nature of neutr…
We present analytic expressions corresponding to a set of one loop Feynman diagrams, built within R-parity violating (RpV) minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). Diagrams involve both bilinear and trilinear RpV couplings and represent Majorana neutrino masses and magnetic moments.
Phenomena of neutrino oscillations are discussed on the basis of two-loop radiative neutrino mechanism. Neutrino mixings are experimentally suggested to be maximal in both atmospheric and solar neutrino oscillations. By using $L_e - L_μ- L_τ$ ($\equiv L^\prime$)-conservation, which, however, only ensures the maximal solar neutrino mixing, we find that two-loop radiative mechanism dynamically generates the maximal atmospheric neutrino mixing and that the estimate of $Δm^2_\odot/Δm^2_{atm} \simεm_e/m_τ$ explains $Δm^2_\odot/Δm^2_{atm} \ll 1$ because of $m_e/m_τ\ll 1$, where $ε$ measures the brea…
We perform a detailed study of the importance of loop corrections when deriving bounds on heavy-active neutrino mixing in the context of general Seesaw mechanisms with extra heavy right-handed neutrinos. We find that, for low-scale Seesaws with an approximate $B-L$ symmetry characterized by electroweak scale Majorana masses and large Yukawas, loop corrections could indeed become relevant in a small part of the parameter space. Previous results in the literature showed that a partial cancellation between these important loop corrections and the tree level contributions could relax some constrai…
Choosing how gauge $U(1)_χ$ breaks in the context of $SO(10) \to SU(5) \times U(1)_χ$, $Z_4$ lepton number may be obtained which maintains neutrinos as Dirac fermions. Choosing $Δ(27)$ as the family symmetry of leptons, tree-level Dirac neutrino masses may be forbidden. Choosing a specific set of self-interacting dark-matter particles, Dirac neutrino masses and mixing may then be generated in two loops. This framework allows the realization of cobimaximal neutrino mixing, i.e. $θ_{13} \neq 0$, $θ_{23} = π/4$, $δ_{CP} = \pm π/2$, as well as the desirable feature that the light scalar mediator o…
We propose a new scenario where neutrino masses are generated via operators with the mass dimension higher than five, which are induced at the loop level. The scenario is demonstrated with concrete models where neutrino masses are generated via a one-loop dimension-seven operator which is induced through TeV scale dynamics under the exact $Z_{2}$ symmetry. Tiny neutrino masses are naturally induced from the TeV scale dynamics without introducing any artificial assumption on magnitudes of coupling constants. The combination of one-loop factor $1/(4π)^2$ and the factor of the ratio $(v/Λ)^2$ bet…
If neutrino masses have a radiative origin, their smallness can be naturally understood even when lepton number violation occurs near the weak scale. We analyze a specific model of this type wherein the neutrino masses arise as two--loop radiative corrections. We show that the model admits the near bimaximal mixing pattern suggested by the current neutrino oscillation data. Unlike the conventional seesaw models, these two--loop models can be directly tested in lepton flavor violating decays tau -> 3 mu and mu -> e + gamma as well as at colliders by the direct observation of charged scalars nee…
The E_6/U(1)_N gauge extension of the Supersymmetric Standard Model, first proposed by Ma, is shown to have exactly the requisite ingredients to realize the important new idea that dark matter is the origin of neutrino mass. With the implementation of a discrete Z_2 X Z_2 symmetry, and particle content given by three {27} representations of E_6, neutrino masses are naturally generated in two loops, with candidates of dark matter in the loops. All particles of this model are expected to be at or below the TeV scale, allowing them to be observable at the LHC.
We propose a two loop induced Dirac type neutrino model at TeV scale. Subsequently, three types of dark matter particles; fermion and two bosons, are naturally introduced. Here we discuss to analyze two possibilities; two component dark matter scenario (Dirac fermion and complex boson) and single dark matter one (another real boson), comparing to current experimental data such as Planck/WMAP and LUX. We briefly mention the possibility to explain the discrepancy of the effective number of neutrino species reported by several experiments.
We revisit the calculation of the three-loop diagrams for the radiative neutrino mass generation and consider some relevant constraints on the model recently proposed by L. Jin {\it et al} [Phys. Lett. B 741 (2015) 163]. We find that the previous approximation is inappropriate due to the neglect of some important contributions, and the benchmark point proposed can neither give rise to enough neutrino masses nor accommodate these additional constraints, such as the validity of the perturbation theory, the electroweak precision measurements, and the neutrinoless double beta decays.
We present the consequences of a large radiative correction term coming from Supersymmetry (SUSY) upon the electron neutrino fluxes streaming off a core- collapse supernova using a 3-flavor neutrino-neutrino interaction code. We explore the interplay between the neutrino-neutrino interaction and the effects of the resonance associated with the mu-tau neutrino index of refraction. We find that sizeable effects may be visible in the flux on Earth and, consequently, on the number of events upon the energy signal of electron neutrinos in a liquid argon detector. Such effect could lead to a probe f…
Opening up the Weinberg operator at 1-loop level using a scalar triplet, two scalar doublets and one fermion gives rise to T4-2-i one-loop topology. Neutrino masses generated from this topology are always accompanied by the tree level Type II seesaw contribution. In this work, we propose a radiative Majorana neutrino mass model based on this topology where to avoid the tree level Type II seesaw mechanism, we extend the model by a ${G}_{f}=\mathbb{D}_{4}\times Z_{3}\times Z_{5}\times Z_{2}$ flavor symmetry and we promote the fermion inside the loop to three right-handed neutrinos. In this scena…
We propose a model which uses the seesaw mechanism and the lepton number $\bar L = L_e - L_μ- L_τ$ to achieve the neutrino mass spectrum $m_1 = m_2$ and $m_3 = 0$, together with a lepton mixing matrix $U$ with $U_{e3} = 0$. In this way, we accommodate atmospheric neutrino oscillations. A small mass splitting $m_1 > m_2$ is generated by breaking $\bar L$ spontaneously and using Babu's two-loop mechanism. This allows us to incorporate ``just so'' solar-neutrino oscillations with maximal mixing into the model. The resulting mass matrix has three parameters only, since $\bar L$ breaking leads excl…
