Constrained Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Atomic Ground-States

Constrained molecular dynamics(CoMD) model, previously introduced for nuclear dynamics, has been extended to the atomic structure and collision calculations. Quantum effects corresponding to the Pauli and Heisenberg principle are enforced by constraints, in a parameter-free way. Our calculations for small atomic system, H, He, Li, Be, F reproduce the ground-state binding energies within 3%, compared with the results of quantum mechanical Hartree-Fock calculations.

Condensed vortex ground states of rotating Bose-Einstein condensate in harmonic atomic trap

We study a system of $N$ Bose atoms trapped by a symmetric harmonic potential, interacting via weak central forces. Considering the ground state of the rotating system as a function of the two conserved quantities, the total angular momentum and its collective component, we develop an algebraic approach to derive exact wave functions and energies of these ground states. Alpha Cluster Model of Atomic Nuclei

Description of a nuclear system in its ground state and at low excitations based on the equation of state (EoS) around normal density is presented. In the expansion of the EoS around the saturation point additional spin polarization terms are taken into account. These terms, together with the standard symmetry term, are responsible for appearance of the $α$-like clusters in the ground state configurations of the N=Z even-even nuclei. Bound States and Scattering Processes in the ^4He_3 Atomic System

We present a mathematically rigorous method for solving three-atomic bound state and scattering problems. The method is well suited for applications in systems where the inter-atomic interaction is of a hard-core nature. It has been employed to obtain the ground- and excited-state energies for the Helium trimer and to calculate, for the first time, the scattering phase shifts and wave-functions for the He atom-He dimer at ultra-low energies.
