Propagation of regularity and persistence of decay for fifth order dispersive models

This paper considers the initial value problem for a class of fifth order dispersive models containing the fifth order KdV equation $$\partial_tu - \partial_x^5u - 30u^2\partial_xu + 20\partial_xu\partial_x^2u + 10u\partial_x^3u = 0.$$ The main results show that regularity or polynomial decay of the data on the positive half-line yields regularity in the solution for positive times.

Decay properties for solutions of fifth order nonlinear dispersive equations

We consider the initial value problem associated to a large class of fifth order nonlinear dispersive equations. This class includes several models arising in the study of different physical phenomena. Our aim is to establish special (space) decay properties of solutions to these systems. These properties complement previous unique continuation results and in some case, show that they are optimal. These decay estimates reflect the "parabolic character" of these dispersive models in exponential weighted spaces. This principle was first obtained by T. Kato in solutions of the KdV equation

Persistence property in weighted Sobolev spaces for nonlinear dispersive equations

We generalize the Abstract Interpolation Lemma proved by the authors in [2]. Using this extension, we show in a more general context, the persistence property for the generalized Korteweg-de Vries equation, see (1.2), in the weighted Sobolev space with low regularity in the weight. The method used can be applied for other nonlinear dispersive models, for instance the multidimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equation.

Dispersive blow-up and persistence properties for the Schrödinger-Korteweg-de Vries system

We study the dispersive blow-up phenomena for the Schrödinger-Korteweg-de Vries (S-KdV) system. Dispersive Decay Bound of Small Data Solutions to Kawahara Equation in a Finite Time Scale

In this article, we prove that small localized data yield solutions to Kawahara type equation which have linear dispersive decay on a finite time. We use the similar method used to derive the dispersive decay bound of the solutions to the KdV equation, with some steps being simpler. This result is expected to be the first result of the small data global bounds of the fifth-order dispersive equations with quadratic nonlinearity.
