We prove a Frobenius theorem for Banach distributions on manifolds that are modelled over locally convex spaces. Moreover, we recall how Frobenius theorems can be applied to infinite-dimensional Lie groups and obtain, that given a Lie subalgebra of the Lie algebra of a Lie group that is modelled over a locally convex space that admits an exponential map, the Lie subalgebra is integrable if it is complemented as a topological vector space and a Banach space with the induced topology.

Finite groups and Lie rings with a metacyclic Frobenius group of automorphisms

Suppose that a finite group $G$ admits a Frobenius group of automorphisms FH of coprime order with cyclic kernel F and complement H such that the fixed point subgroup $C_G(H)$ of the complement is nilpotent of class $c$. An implicit function theorem for Banach spaces and some applications

We prove a generalized implicit function theorem for Banach spaces, without the usual assumption that the subspaces involved being complemented. Then we apply it to the problem of parametrization of fibers of differentiable maps, the Lie subgroup problem for Banach-Lie groups, as well as Weil's local rigidity for homomorphisms from finitely generated groups to Banach-Lie groups.

Frobenius groups of automorphisms and their fixed points

Suppose that a finite group $G$ admits a Frobenius group of automorphisms $FH$ with kernel $F$ and complement $H$ such that the fixed-point subgroup of $F$ is trivial: $C_G(F)=1$. In this situation various properties of $G$ are shown to be close to the corresponding properties of $C_G(H)$. Subgroup proximity in Banach Lie groups

Third cohomology for Frobenius kernels and related structures

Let $G$ be a simple simply connected group scheme defined over ${\mathbb F}_{p}$ and $k$ be an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p>0$. Large scale geometry of Banach-Lie groups

We initiate the large scale geometric study of Banach-Lie groups, especially of linear Banach-Lie groups. We show that the exponential length, originally introduced by Ringrose for unitary groups of $C^*$-algebras, defines the quasi-isometry type of any connected Banach-Lie group. Analytic Mappings Between LB-spaces and Applications in Infinite-Dimensional Lie Theory

We give a sufficient criterion for complex analyticity of nonlinear maps defined on direct limits of normed spaces. This tool is then used to construct new classes of (real and complex) infinite dimensional Lie groups: (a) groups of germs of analytic diffeomorphisms around a compact set in a Banach space and (b) unions of ascending sequences of Banach Lie groups.

In this paper we study the Lie theoretic properties of a class of topological groups which carry a Banach manifold structure but whose multiplication is not smooth. On strong property (T) and fixed point properties for Lie groups

We consider certain strengthenings of property (T) relative to Banach spaces that are satisfied by high rank Lie groups. Let X be a Banach space for which, for all k, the Banach--Mazur distance to a Hilbert space of all k-dimensional subspaces is bounded above by a power of k strictly less than one half. Asymptotic isoperimetry on groups and uniform embeddings into Banach spaces

We characterize the asymptotic behaviour of the compression associated to a uniform embedding into some Lp-space for a large class of groups including connected Lie groups with exponential growth and word-hyperbolic finitely generated groups. Strong Banach property (T), after Vincent Lafforgue

This text takes, with more details and simplifying a proof in section 3, the parts of [Laf08] and [Laf09] treating p-adic groups. We prove that $SL_{3}$ over a non archimedian local field $F$ has strong Banach property (T). The applications are as follows: any connected almost $F$-simple algebraic group $G$ over $F$ whose Lie algebra contains $sl_3(F)$ has strong Banach property (T), the family of expanders constructed from a lattice of $G(F)$ do not embed uniformly in any Banach space of type $>1,$ and any isometric affine action of $G(F)$ on a Banach space of type $>1$ admits a fix point.
