Energy-momentum conservation laws in Finsler/Kawaguchi Lagrangian formulation

We reformulate the standard Lagrangian formalism to a reparameterisation invariant Lagrangian formalism by means of Finsler and Kawaguchi geometry. In our formalism, various types of symmetries that appears in theories of physics are expressed geometrically by symmetries of Finsler (Kawaguchi) metric, and the conservation law of energy-momentum is a part of Euler-Lagrange equations. The application to scalar field, Dirac field, electromagnetic field and general relativity coupled to perfect fluid (added: ver.3) are discussed. By this formalism, we try to propose an alternative definition of energy-momentum current of gravity.

Parameter invariant Lagrangian formulation of Kawaguchi geometry

This Ph.D. thesis is devoted to the constructions of Lagrangian formulation on Finsler and Kawaguchi manifolds. While Finsler geometry is a natural extension of Riemannian geometry, Kawaguchi geometry is the extension of Finsler geometry to higher order derivatives and to k-dimensional parameter space. Mathematical foundations for field theories on Finsler spacetimes

On the significance of the stress-energy tensor in Finsler spacetimes

We revisit the physical arguments which lead to the definition of the stress-energy tensor $T$ in the Lorentz-Finsler setting $(M,L)$ starting at classical Relativity. Both the standard heuristic approach using fluids and the Lagrangian one are taken into account. In particular, we argue that the Finslerian breaking of Lorentz symmetry makes $T$ an anisotropic 2-tensor (i. e., a tensor for each $L$-timelike direction), in contrast with the energy-momentum vectors defined on $M$. Nearly Autoparallel Maps, Tensor Integral and Conservation Laws in Locally Anisotrpoic Spaces

We formulate the theory of nearly autoparallel maps (generalizing conformal transforms) of locally anisotropic spaces and define the nearly autoparallel integration as the inverse operation to both covariant derivation and deformation of connections by nearly autoparallel maps. By using this geometric formalism we consider a variant of solution of the problem of formulation of conservation laws for locally anisotropic gravity. We note that locally anisotropic spases contain as particular cases various extensions of Kaluza--Klein, generalized Lagrange and Finsler spaces.

Conservation laws and evolution schemes in geodesic, hydrodynamic and magnetohydrodynamic flows

Carter and Lichnerowicz have established that barotropic fluid flows are conformally geodesic and obey Hamilton's principle.
