Based on the Lie group theory, the one-parameter Lie group admitted by a Silnikov equation is studied. The result reveals that the Silnikov equation accepts no global analytical non-trivial one-parameter Lie group. In this sense, the Silnikov equation is not integrable in quadrature.

Based on numerical results of a Silnikov equation, three period-doubling cascades, corresponding respectively to three different characters of the rotation number of a limit closed orbit, are studied, and the Feigenbaum constant is used successfully in the estimation of the critical parameter values for the period-doubling bifurcation. This paper is devoted to integrability conditions for systems of linear difference and differential equations with difference parameters. It is shown that such a system is difference isomonodromic if and only if it is difference isomonodromic with respect to each parameter separately. In this paper we analyze the non-integrability of the Wilbeforce pendulum by means of Morales-Ramis theory in where is enough to prove that the Galois group of the variational equation is not virtually abelian. We obtain these non-integrability results due to the algebrization of the variational equation falls into a Heun differential equation with four singularities and then we apply Kovacic's algorithm to determine its non-integrability.
We examine the algebraic complete integrability of Lotka-Volterra equations in three dimensions. We restrict our attention to Lotka-Volterra systems defined by a skew symmetric matrix. We obtain a complete classification of such systems. The classification is obtained using Painleve analysis and more specifically by the use of Kowalevski exponents. The imposition of certain integrality conditions on the Kowalevski exponents gives necessary conditions for the algebraic integrability of the corresponding systems. We also show that the conditions are sufficient.
We study a new example of equation obtained as a result of a recent generalized symmetry classification of differential-difference equations defined on five points of one-dimensional lattice. We have established that in the continuous limit this new equation goes into the well-known Kaup-Kupershmidt equation. We study the integrability of mappings obtained as reductions of the discrete Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation and of two copies of the discrete potential Korteweg-de Vries equation (pKdV). We show that the mappings corresponding to the discrete KdV equation, which can be derived from the latter, are completely integrable in the Liouville-Arnold sense. We apply the 'almost good reduction' (AGR) criterion, which has been introduced in our previous (arXiv:1206.4456 and arXiv:1209.0223), to several classes of discrete integrable equations. We verify our conjecture that AGR plays the same role for maps of the plane define over simple finite fields as the notion of the singularity confinement does. We first prove that q-discrete analogues of the Painlevé III and IV equations have AGR. We next prove that the Hietarinta-Viallet equation, a non-integrable chaotic system also has AGR.
Among other results we show that near the equilibrium point, the Hamiltonian of the sine-Gordon (SG) equation on the circle can be viewed as an element in the Poisson algebra of the modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation and hence by well established properties of the latter equation admits Birkhoff coordinates. On the other hand we prove that there exists a large set of smooth initial data, away from the equilibrium point and lying on the ramification locus of a double cover, for which the initial value problem of the SG equation has no classical solution.
