LHCb, CDF and most recently Belle have observed a large difference between direct CP asymmetries in $D^0\to K^+K^-$ and $D^0\toπ^+π^-$. We use the measured value of $ΔA_{CP}$ to constrain the magnitude and strong phase of a QCD-enhanced standard model penguin and predict its effects on direct CP asymmetry in $D^0\toπ^0π^0$ and $D^+\to K^+\bar{K}^0$.
We have computed branching ratios of two-body nonleptonic B_c \to X_{c\bar{c}}M decays, where X_{c\bar{c}} is the radially excited charmonium η_c(2S) or ψ(2S) meson, and M is a pseudoscalar (P) or a vector (V) or an axial-vector (A(^3P_1)) meson. We have assumed factorization hypothesis and calculated the form factors in the nonrelativistic ISGW2 quark model. We have found that some of these decays have branching ratios of the order of 10^{-3} - 10^{-4}.
Nonleptonic decays of charmed mesons into two pseudoscalar mesons or one pseudoscalar meson and one vector meson are studied on the basis of a generalized factorization method considering the resonance effects in the pole model for the annihilation contributions. Large strong phases between different topological diagrams are considered in this work, simply taking the phase in the coefficients $a_i$. We find that the annihilation-type contributions calculated in the pole model are large in both of the $PP$ and $PV$ modes, which make our numerical results agree with the experimental data better …
Nonleptonic two body B decays including radially excited $π(1300)$ or $ρ(1450)$ mesons in the final state are studied using the framework of generalized naive factorization approach. Branching ratios and CP asymmetries of $B\to Pπ(1300)$, $B\to Vπ(1300)$, $B\to Pρ(1450)$ and $B\to Vρ(1450)$ decays are calculated, where P and V stand for pseudoscalar and vector charmless mesons. Form factors for $B\to π(1300)$ and $B\to ρ(1450)$ transitions are estimated in the improved version of the Isgur-Scora-Grinstein-Wise quark model. In some processes, CP asymmetries of more than 10% and branching ratios…
We analyze nonleptonic $B_s$ decays to a charmonium state and a light meson, induced by the $b \to c {\bar c}s$ transition, which are useful to access the $B_s$-${\bar B}_s$ mixing phase $β_s$. We use generalized factorization and $SU(3)_F$ symmetry to relate such modes to correspondent $B$ decay channels. We discuss the feasibility of the measurements in the various channels, stressing the importance of comparing different determinations of $β_s$ in view of the hints of new physics effects (NP) recently emerged in the $B_s$ sector. Finally, adopting a general parametrization of NP contributio…
Two-body nonleptonic decays of charmed mesons are studied on the basis of a simple pole-dominance model involving the vector, pseudoscalar and axial-vector meson poles.
We investigate the nonleptonic decay of charmed meson into two pseudoscalar mesons using the vector--dominance model, and compare the results with those obtained from the factorization model. In particular, we discuss the role of the annihilation diagrams in the two models.
We analyze charm meson semileptonic $D \to V l ν_l$ and $D\to P l ν_l$ and nonleptonic $D \to P V$, $D \to PP$ and $D \to VV$ decays within a model which combines the heavy quark effective Lagrangian and chiral perturbation theory.
We discuss the validity of factorization for exclusive two-body B to charmonium transitions. In particular, we consider the role of non factorizable corrections in selected two-body modes.
We compare the factorization approach, the perturbative QCD approach and the Beneke-Buchalla-Neubert-Sachrajda approach to nonleptonic charmless $B$ meson decays. We discuss their treatments of factorizable, nonfactorizable, and annihilation contributions, infrared-cutoff and scale dependences, and strong phases. It is proposed that measurement of CP asymmetries in two-body $B$ meson decays provides an appropriate test of the these approaches.
Exclusive nonleptonic decays of bottom baryons to charm baryons and pseudoscalar light mesons are analyzed within a relativistic three-quark model. We include factorizing as well as nonfactorizing contributions to the decay amplitudes. The total contribution of the nonfactorizing diagrams amount up to 30% of the factorizing contributions in amplitude. We present detailed predictions for rates and asymmetry parameters.
The form factors of weak decays of the B_c meson to orbitally excited charmonium, D, B_s and B mesons are calculated in the framework of the QCD-motivated relativistic quark model based on the quasipotential approach. Relativistic effects are systematically taken into account. The form factor dependence on the momentum transfer is reliably determined in the whole kinematical range. The form factors are expressed trough the overlap integrals of the meson wave functions which are known from the previous mass spectra calculations within the same model. On this basis semileptonic and nonleptonic B…
In the pole-dominance model for the two-body nonleptonic decays of charmed mesons $D \rightarrow PV$ and $D \rightarrow VV$, it is shown that the contributions of the intermediate pseudoscalar and the axial-vector meson poles cancel each other in the annihilation diagrams in the chiral limit. In the same limit, the annihilation diagrams for the $D \rightarrow PP$ decays vanish independently.
We calculate the two-body nonleptonic B decays using the factorization method. The recent measured decays by CLEO Collaboration can be explained in the factorization approach. We propose a number of ratios of branching ratios to determine the effective coefficients and the form factors.
With the generalized factorization approximation, we calculate the branching ratios and CP asymmetries in B meson decays into two charmless pseudoscalar mesons. We give a new estimation of the matrix elements of (S+P)(S-P) current products with the PQCD method instead of equation of motion. We find that our results are comparatively smaller than those in the literature.
We calculate the semileptonic and a subclass of sixteen nonleptonic two-body decays of the double charm baryon ground states $Ξ_{cc}^{++},\,Ξ_{cc}^{+}$ and $Ω_{cc}^+$ where we concentrate on the nonleptonic decay modes. We identify those nonleptonic decay channels in which the decay proceeds solely via the factorizing contribution precluding a contamination from $W$-exchange. We use the covariant confined quark model previously developed by us to calculate the various helicity amplitudes which describe the dynamics of the $1/2^+ \to 1/2^+$ and $1/2^+ \to 3/2^+$ transitions induced by the Cabib…
We calculate the radiative corrections to the nonleptonic inclusive B decay mode $b\rightarrow c\bar u d$ taking into account the charm quark mass. Compared to the massless case, corrections resulting from a nonvanishing c quark mass increase the nonleptonic rate by (4--8)\%, depending on the renormalization point. As a by--product of our calculation, we obtain an analytic expression for the radiative correction to the semileptonic decay $b\rightarrow uτ\barν$ taking into account the $τ$ lepton mass, and estimate the c quark mass effects on the nonleptonic decay mode $b\rightarrow c\bar c s$.
Cabibbo-favored nonleptonic charmed particle decays exhibit large final-state phase differences in $\bar K π$ and $\bar K^* π$ but not $\bar K ρ$ channels. It is of interest to know the corresponding pattern of final-state phases in doubly-Cabibbo-suppressed decays, governed by the $c \to d u \bar s$ subprocess. An experimental program is outlined for determining such phases via measurements of rates for $D \to K^* π$ and $K (ρ, ω,ϕ)$ channels, and determination of interference between bands in Dalitz plots. Such a program is feasible at planned high-intensity sources of charmed particles.
Exclusive nonleptonic decays of bottom and charm baryons are studied within a relativistic three-quark model with a Gaussian shape for the momentum dependence of the baryon-three-quark vertex. We include factorizing as well as nonfactorizing contributions to the decay amplitudes. For heavy-to-light transitions Q -> q u d the total contribution of the nonfactorizing diagrams amount up to approximately 60% of the factorizing contributions in amplitude, and up to approximately 30% for b -> c u d transitions. We calculate the rates and the polarization asymmetry parameters for various nonleptonic …
We calculate the CP-violating asymmetries A(Lambda_-^0) and A(Xi_-^-) in nonleptonic hyperon decay within the Standard Model using the framework of heavy-baryon chiral perturbation theory (chiPT). We identify those terms that correspond to previous calculations and discover several errors in the existing literature. We present a new result for the lowest-order (in chiPT) contribution of the penguin operator to these asymmetries, as well as an estimate for the uncertainty of our result that is based on the calculation of the leading nonanalytic corrections.
A global previous analysis of two-body nonleptonic decays of $D$ mesons has been extended to the decays involving light scalar mesons. The allowance for final state interaction also in nonresonant channels provides a fit of much improved quality and with less symmetry breaking in the axial charges. We give predictions for about 50 decay branching ratios yet to be measured. We also discuss long distance contributions to the difference $ΔΓ$ between the $D_S$ and $D_L$ widths.
Quark and pole models of nonleptonic decays of charmed baryons are analysed from the point of view of their symmetry properties. The symmetry structure of the parity conserving amplitudes that corresponds to the contribution of the ground-state intermediate baryons is shown to differ from the one hitherto employed in the symmetry approach. It is pointed out that the "subtraction" of sea quark effects in hyperon decays leads to an estimate of $W$-exchange contributions in charmed baryon decays that is significantly smaller than naively expected on the basis of $SU(4)$. An $SU(2)_{W}$ constraint…
The perturbative QCD corrections to the nonleptonic decay rate of the $b$ quark are discussed. By considering the limit where the final charmed quarks are slow, it is argued that the coefficients of the $α_s^2$ terms, corresponding to next-to-next-to-leading order in the standard renormalization group expansion in $\ln (m_W/m_b)$, are naturally large. The large coefficients arise from the final-state gluon exchange between quarks and are associated with the region of rather low momenta, which may further enhance the phenomenological significance of these terms.
Effects of final-state interactions in nonleptonic decays of charmed mesons are studied in the framework of quark-diagram approach. For the case of u-d-s flavour symmetry we discuss how the inelastic coupled-channel rescattering effects (and, in particular, resonance formation in the final state) modify the input quark-diagram weak amplitudes. It is shown that such inelastic effects lead to the appearance of nonzero relative phases between various quark diagrams, thus invalidating some of the conclusions drawn in the past within the diagrammatical approach. The case of SU(3) symmetry-breaking …
We shed new light on the standard current algebra approach to the nonleptonic two-body decays of single and double heavy charm baryons. By making use of the completeness relation for the flavor wave functions of the ground state baryon {\bf 20'} representation we are able to rewrite the results of the current algebra approach in terms of the seven topological tensor invariants describing the decays. The representation of the current algebra results in terms of topological tensor invariants depends only on the initial and final state of the process. The summation over intermediate states inhere…
This talk consists of two parts. We first present a light-cone QCD sum rule computation of the $B_s\to f_0(980)$ form factors which are necessary inputs in semileptonic and nonleptonic $B_s$ decays into $f_0(980)$. Then we analyze nonleptonic $B_s$ decays into a charmonium state and a light meson, which are potentially useful to access the $B_s$-${\bar B}_s$ mixing phase $β_s$. We explore the experimental feasibility of measuring these various channels, paying attention to different determinations of $β_s$ in view of the hints of new physics recently emerged in the $B_s$ sector.
The sum of the CP-violating asymmetries A(Lambda_-^0) and A(Xi_-^-) in hyperon nonleptonic decays is presently being measured by the E871 experiment. We evaluate contributions to the asymmetries induced by chromomagnetic-penguin operators, whose coefficients can be enhanced in certain models of new physics. Incorporating recent information on the strong phases in Xi->Lambda pi decay, we show that new-physics contributions to the two asymmetries can be comparable. We explore how the upcoming results of E871 may constrain the coefficients of the operators. We find that its preliminary measuremen…
Observed decay rates indicate large phase differences among the amplitudes for the charge states in $D \to \bar K π$ and $D \to \bar K^* π$ but relatively real amplitudes in the charge states for $D \to \bar K ρ$. This feature is traced using an SU(3) flavor analysis to a sign flip in the contribution of one of the amplitudes contributing to the latter processes in comparison with its contribution to the other two sets. This amplitude may be regarded as an effect of rescattering and is found to be of magnitude comparable to others contributing to charmed particle two-body nonleptonic decays.
In this paper, with the framework of (p)NRQCD and SCET, the processes $B_c\to M_1 M_2$ are investigated. Here $M_{1(2)}$ denotes the light charmless meson, such as $π$, $ρ$, $K$ or $K^*$. Based on the SCET power counting rules, the leading transition amplitudes are picked out, which include $A_{wA}^2$, $A_{wB}^2$, $A_{wC}^2$, $A_{wD}^2$ and $A_{c}^0$. From SCET, their factorization formulae are proven. Based on the obtained factorization formulae, in particular, the numerical calculation on $A_{wB}^2$ is performed.
In this work, we present an analysis of the nonleptonic charmonium modes $B_s^0 \to J / ψf_2^\prime(1525)$ and $B_s^0 \to J/ψK^+K^-$. Within the framework of the factorization approach and using the perturbative QCD for the evaluation of the relevant form factors, we find a branching fraction for the two-body channel of BR$(B_s^{0} \to J/ψf_2^{\prime}(1525)) = (1.6 {}^{+0.9}_{-0.7})\times 10^{-4}$ which is in agreement with the experimental values reported by the LHCb and Belle Collaborations. The associated polarization fractions to this vector-tensor mode are also presented. On the other han…
We have made an ab initio three-loop quark model calculation of the $W$-exchange contribution to the nonleptonic two-body decays of the doubly charmed baryons $Ξ_{cc}^{++}$ and $Ω_{cc}^{+}$. The $W$-exchange contributions appear in addition to the factorizable tree graph contributions and are not suppressed in general. We make use of the covariant confined quark model previously developed by us to calculate the tree graph as well as the $W$-exchange contribution. We calculate helicity amplitudes and quantitatively compare the tree graph and $W$-exchange contributions. Finally, we compare the c…
The Belle Collaboration has recently reported a study of the decays $B \to D_{s1}(2536)^{+}\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$ and has given also estimates of relevant ratios between branching fractions of decays $B \to D^{(\ast)}D_{sJ}^{(\ast)}$ providing important information to check the structure of the $D_{s0}^{\ast}(2317)$, $D_{s1}(2460)$ and $D_{s1}(2536)$ mesons. The disagreement between experimental data and Heavy Quark Symmetry has been used as an indication that $D_{s0}^{\ast}(2317)$ and $D_{s1}(2460)$ mesons could have a more complex structure than the canonical $c\bar{s}$ one. We analyze these rati…
We classify LambdaQCD/mb power corrections to nonleptonic B-> M1 M2 decays, where M1 and M2 are charmless non-isosinglet mesons. Using recent developments in soft-collinear effective theory, we prove that the leading contributions to annihilation amplitudes of O[alphas(mb) LambdaQCD/mb] are real. The leading annihilation amplitudes depend on twist-2 and twist-3 three parton distributions. A complex nonperturbative parameter from annihilation first appears at O[alphas^2(sqrt{Lambda mb}) LambdaQCD/mb]. ``Chirally enhanced'' contributions are also factorizable and real at lowest order. Thus, inca…
Nonleptonic charmless B decays into a pseudoscalar (P) or a vector (V) meson accompanying a tensor (T) meson are re-analyzed. We scrutinize the hadronic uncertainties and ambiguities of the form factors which appear in the literature. The Isgur-Scora-Grinstein-Wise updated model (ISGW2) is adopted to evaluate the relevant hadronic matrix elements. We calculate the branching ratios and CP asymmetries for various $B\to P(V)T$ decay processes. With the ISGW2 model, the branching ratios are enhanced by about an order of magnitude compared to the previous estimates. We show that the ratios $\calB(B…
Two-body charmless hadronic $B_c$ decays involving a light $1^3\!P_2$-tensor($T$) meson are investigated for the first time within the framework of perturbative QCD(pQCD) at leading order, in which the other meson is the lightest pseudoscalar($P$) or vector($V$) state. The concerned processes can only occur through the pure weak annihilation topology in the standard model. We predict the CP-averaged branching ratios and polarization fractions of those considered decays in Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa(CKM) favored and suppressed modes. Phenomenologically, several modes$-$such as the $B_c \to K_2^*…
We present updated results of an SU(3)-flavor analysis of D->P P decay data including linear breaking and no further assumptions. The global fit is consistent with nominal (~ 30%) SU(3)F breaking and returns enhanced penguin (triplet) contributions. Their size is driven, in addition to Delta A_{CP}, by the CP asymmetries of D_0->K_S K_S, D_s->K_S pi^+ and D_s->K^+ pi^0 decays. It is therefore especially important to improve these measurements.
We investigate the contributions of neutral Higgs bosons to nonleptonic transition $b \to q \bar{s} s, q=d, s$ under the supersymmetric context. Their effects to decay width and CP violation in corresponding exclusive decays are explored. The anomalous dimension matrices of the operators which have to be incorporated to include the contributions of neutral Higgs bosons are given. We find that when tan$β$ is large (say, 50) and neutral Higgs bosons are not too heavy (say, 100 GeV), contributions of neutral Higgs penguin can dominate electroweak penguin contributions, and for some processes, the…
We reanalyzed nonleptonic charmless two-body B decays involving tensor mesons in final state motivated by the disagreement between current experimental information and theoretical predictions obtained in ISGW2 model for some $\mathcal{B}(B \to P(V)T)$ (where $P$, $V$ and $T$ denote a pseudoscalar, a vector and a tensor meson, respectively). We have calculated branching ratios of charmless $B \to PT$ and $B\to VT$ modes, using $B \to T$ form factors obtained in the covariant light-front (CLF) approach and the full effective Hamiltonian. We have considered the $η-η^{\prime}$ two-mixing angle for…
We evaluate the form factors describing the semileptonic decays $\bar{B^0}\to J/ψ(η_c) D^+ \ell^- \bar ν_\ell$, within the framework of a QCD relativistic potential model. This decay is complementary to $\bar{B^0}\to J/ψ(η_c) D^+ π^-$ in a phase space region where a pion factors out.We estimate the branching ratio for these semileptonic and nonleptonic channels, finding $\mathcal{BR}(\bar{B^0} \to J/ψ(η_c) D^+ \ell ν_\ell) \simeq 10^{-13}$, $\mathcal{BR}(\bar{B^0} \to J/ψD^+ π^-) = 3.1 \times 10^{-8}$ and $\mathcal{BR}(\bar{B^0} \to η_c D^+ π^-) = 3.5 \times 10^{-8}$.
A previous analysis of two-body Cabibbo allowed nonleptonic decays of $D^0$ mesons and of Cabibbo allowed and first-forbidden decays of $D^+$ and $D_s^+$ has been adjourned using more recent experimental data and extended to the Cabibbo forbidden decays of $D^0$. Annihilation and W-exchange contributions as well as final state interaction effects (assumed to be dominated by nearby resonances) have been included and are in fact crucial to obtain a reasonable agreement with the experimental data, which show large flavour SU(3) violations. New fitting parameters are necessary to describe rescatte…
We analyze $D \to P V$, $D \to PP$ and $D \to VV$ decays within a model developed to describe the semileptonic decays $D \to V l ν_l$ and $D\to P l ν_l$. This model combines the heavy quark effective Lagrangian and chiral perturbation theory. We determine amplitudes for decays in which the direct weak annihilation of the initial $D$ meson is absent or negligible, and in which the final state interactions are small. This analysis reduces the arbitrariness in the choice of model parameters. The calculated decay widths are in good agreement with the experimental results.
The detection of radially excited heavy meson \\states in recent years and measurement of heavy meson decays, particularly $B_c^+\to J/ψD_s^+$ and $B_c^+\to J/ψD_s^{*+}$, by the LHCb and ATLAS Collaborations, have aroused a lot of theoretical interest in the nonleptonic decays of $b$-flavored mesons. In this paper, we study the exclusive two-body nonleptonic $\bar{B}^0$, $\bar{B_s^0}$, $B^-$ and $B_c^-$-meson decays to two vector meson ($V_1(nS)V_2$) states. Assuming the factorization hypothesis, we calculate the weak-decay form factors from the overlapping integrals of meson wave functions, i…
In the study of two-body charmless B decays as a mean of looking for direct CP-violation and measuring the CKM mixing parameters in the Standard Model, the short-distance penguin contribution with its absorptive part generated by charm quark loop seems capable of producing sufficient $B \to Kπ$ decays rates, as obtained in factorization and QCD-improved factorization models. However there are also long-distance charming penguin contributions which also give rise to a strong phase due to the rescattering $D^{*}D^{*} \to Kπ$ . In this talk, I would like to discuss \cite{Isola} a recent work on t…
We re-calculate the exclusive semileptonic and nonleptonic decays of $B_c$ meson to a $P$-wave charmonium in terms of the improved Bethe-Salpeter (B-S) approach, which is developed recently. Here the widths for the exclusive semileptonic and nonleptonic decays, the form factors, and the charged lepton spectrums for the semileptonic decays are precisely calculated. To test the concerned approach by comparing with experimental measurements when the experimental data are available, and to have comparisons with the other approaches the results obtained by the approach and those by some approaches …
We include nonfactorizable soft gluon corrections into the perturbative QCD formalism for exclusive nonleptonic heavy meson decays, which combines factorization theorems and effective field theory. These corrections are classified according to their color structures, and exponentiated separately to complete the Sudakov resummation up to next-to-leading logarithms. The nonfactorizable contributions in nonleptonic decays are clearly identified in our formalism, and found to be positive for bottom decays and negative for charm decays. Our analysis confirms that the large-$N_c$ approximaton is app…
Decay rates of the B-meson are studied through charmless and strangless transitions into pi, rho, omega and gamma systems. The important features of these modes are their clean signatures. The CLEO II collaboration has recently reported the value BR(B^0 --> pi^+ pi^-) = (1.3_{-0.6}^{+0.8} +/- 0.2)x10^{-5}. This value test our approach to nonleptonic B-decays within the standard model (SM). Since B --> gamma gamma is far beyond our experimental reach, we believe that the correct determination of the order of magnitude ~10^{-10} for BR(B --> gamma gamma) provides the most reliable value needed a…
We study the exclusive two-body nonleptonic $B_c\to X_{c\bar{c}}M$ decays, where $X_{c\bar{c}}$ is either a ground(1S) or a radially excited (2S or 3S) charmonium and $M$ is a pseudoscalar $(P)$ or a vector $(V)$ meson. We consider here three categories of decays: $B_c \to PP, PV, VP$ decays within the framework of relativistic independent quark(RIQ) model based on a flavor-independent interaction potential in scalar-vector harmonic form. Using the factorization approximation, we calculate the weak form factors from the overlapping integrals of meson wave functions obtained in the RIQ model an…
We show in a model independent way the equality of the branching fractions and strong phases for B-> D_1M and B-> D_2^*M at leading order in Lambda _{QCD}/Q and alpha_s(Q) where Q={m_b,m_c,E_M} and M is a light meson. These results apply in the color allowed and color suppressed channels and follow from a factorization theorem in SCET combined with heavy quark symmetry. The expected heavy quark symmetry suppression of leading order contributions in the color allowed sector based on analysis of semileptonic decays, is shown to disappear at maximum recoil. Subleading corrections are suppressed b…
In the framework of the factorization and the heavy quark effective theory, $B\to D_2^*π$ modes are analyzed. We adopt the result from the QCD sum rule calculation for the hadronic matrix elements at leading order of $Λ_{\rm QCD}/m_Q$ and $α_s$. The QCD sum rule results are well compatible with the current data, with the prediction on the branching ratios $\calB(\Bbar^0\to D_2^{*+}π^-)=8.94\times 10^{-4}$ and $\calB(B^-\to D_2^{*0}π^-)=9.53\times 10^{-4}$ for $N_C^{\rm eff}=2$. We give constraints on the interception $τ(1)$ and the slope parameter $ρ^2$ of the leading Isgur-Wise function from …
We examine the large branching ratio for the process $B\to η^{\prime} K$ from the standpoint of R parity violating supersymmetry. We have given all possible $R_p$ violating contributions to $B\to η^{\prime} K$ amplitudes. We find that only two pairs of $λ^{\prime}$-type $R_p$ violating couplings can solve this problem after satisfying all other experimental bounds. We also analyze those modes where these couplings can appear, {\em e.g.}, $B^\pm \to π^{\pm}K^0$, $B^{\pm,0} \to K^{*\pm,0} η^{(\prime)}$, $B^{\pm} \toϕK^{\pm}$ etc., and predict their branching ratios. Further, one of these two pai…
Exclusive nonleptonic decays of bottom and charm baryons are studied within a relativistic quark model. We include factorizing as well as nonfactorizing contributions to the decay amplitudes.
In this talk we briefly present a flavor-SU(3) technique to study branching ratios and direct CP asymmetries $D$-meson decays. The first part of the talk is meant to set up a foundation, based on previous work, to deal with flavor-SU(3) amplitudes and relative strong phases. In addition, we present a model for dealing with SU(3)-breaking in branching ratio measurements of SCS $D^0$ decays. In the second part of the talk we make use of a proposal for an enhanced CP-violating penguin in the SM, to explain the recent LHCb and CDF observations of CP violation in SCS $D^0$ decays. Furthermore, we u…
The ground vector $B_{c}^{\ast}$ meson has not yet been experimentally discovered until now. Besides the dominant electromagnetic decays, nonleptonic weak decays provide another choice to search for the mysterious $B_{c}^{\ast}$ mesons. Inspired by the potential prospects of $B_{c}^{\ast}$ mesons in future high-luminosity colliders, nonleptonic $B_{c}^{\ast}$ weak decays induced by bottom and charm quark decays are studied within the SM by using a naive factorization approach. It is found that for $B_{c}^{\ast}$ ${\to}$ $B_{s,d}π$, $B_{s,d}^{\ast}π$, $B_{s,d}ρ$, $B_{s}K$, $B_{s}^{\ast}K$, $B_{…
The Cabibbo allowed non-leptonic $B$-decays in two hadrons are studied, within the factorization hypothesis, in the framework of Isgur and Wise theory for the matrix elements of the $ΔB=-ΔC=\pm 1$ weak currents. The $SU(2)_{HF}$ symmetry relates $|ΔB|=1$ to $|ΔC|=1$ currents, which have been measured in the semileptonic strange decays of charmed particles. By assuming colour screening and allowing for $SU(3)$ invariant contributions from the annihilation terms with charmed final states one is able to comply with the present experimental knowledge.\\ The $CP$ violating asymmetries in neutral $B…
