The relevant quasipotential near an equilibrium point is determined by a new linear matrix equation, with less unknowns than an existing (possibly nonlinear) one. This also assures the asymptotic fulfillment of the Fokker-Planck equation, even globally due to the second term in the noise strength. An auxiliary result for the exit problem is derived as well.

Brownian Particles with Rank-Dependent Drifts: Out-of-Equilibrium Behavior

We study the long-range asymptotic behavior for an out-of-equilibrium countable one-dimensional system of Brownian particles interacting through their rank-dependent drifts. Focusing on the semi-infinite case, where only the leftmost particle gets a constant drift to the right, we derive and solve the corresponding one- sided Stefan (free-boundary) equations. Via this solution we explicitly determine the limiting particle-density profile as well as the asymptotic trajectory of the leftmost particle. Sub-exponential convergence to equilibrium for Gaussian driven Stochastic Differential Equations with semi-contractive drift

The convergence to the stationary regime is studied for Stochastic Differential Equations driven by an additive Gaussian noise and evolving in a semi-contractive environment, i.e. when the drift is only contractive out of a compact set but does not have repulsive regions. In this setting, we develop a synchronous coupling strategy to obtain sub-exponential bounds on the rate of convergence to equilibrium in Wasserstein distance. Then by a coalescent coupling close to terminal time, we derive a similar bound in total variation distance.

Exit time asymptotics for dynamical systems with fast random switching near an unstable equilibrium

We consider the exit problem for a one-dimensional system with random switching near an unstable equilibrium point of the averaged drift. In the infinite switching rate limit, we show that the exit time satisfies a limit theorem with a logarithmic deterministic term and a random correction converging in distribution. Thus this setting is in the universality class of the unstable equilibrium exit under small white-noise perturbations.

Non-equilibrium large deviations and parabolic-hyperbolic PDE with irregular drift

Row finite systems of stochastic differential equations with dissipative drift

Motivated by studies of stochastic systems describing non-equilibrium dynamics of (real-valued) spins of an infinite particle system in $\mathbb{R}^n$ we consider a row-finite system of stochastic differential equations with dissipative drift. Existence of Nash Equilibrium Points for Markovian Nonzero-sum Stochastic Differential Games with Unbounded Coefficients

This paper is related to nonzero-sum stochastic differential games in the Markovian framework. We show existence of a Nash equilibrium point for the game when the drift is no longer bounded and only satisfies a linear growth condition. The main tool is the notion of backward stochastic differential equations which, in our case, are multidimensional with continuous coefficient and stochastic linear growth.
