The completely general radiative corrections to lowest order, including the final and initial state radiations, are studied in proton-antiproton annihilation to an electron-positron pair. Numerical estimates have been made in a realistic configuration of the PANDA detector at FAIR for the proton time-like form factors measurements.
The nucleon radiative capture reactions are important in pure and applied nuclear physics, especially in nuclear astrophysics. The keV-nucleon radiative capture reactions are studied with $^{12}$C and $^{16}$O targets using the bound-to-continuum potential model in which both scattering and bound states are treated simultaneously and based on the Skyrme Hartree-Fock approximation. The obtained results are shown to be in good agreement with the available experimental data. Alongside astrophysical aspects, the nuclear structure features were revisited for enlarging the prospect of adopting the n…
We calculate the nucleon parameters in nuclear matter using the QCD sum rules method. The radiative corrections to the leading operator product expansion terms are included, with the corrections of the order α_s beyond the logarithmic approximation taken into account. The density dependence of the influence of radiative corrections on the nucleon parameters is obtained. At saturation density the radiative corrections increase the values of vector and scalar self-energies by about 40 MeV, and 30 MeV correspondingly. The results appear to be stable with respect to possible variations of the valu…
Trinucleon Photo Reactions with $Δ$-Isobar Excitation: Radiative Nucleon-Deuteron Capture and Two-Body Photo Disintegration of the Three-Nucleon Bound State
Radiative capture of nucleons at energies of astrophysical interest is one of the most important processes for nucleosynthesis. The nucleon capture can occur either by a compound nucleus reaction or by a direct process. The compound reaction cross sections are usually very small, specially for light nuclei. The direct capture proceeds either via the formation of a single-particle resonance, or a non-resonant capture process. In this work we calculate radiative capture cross sections and astrophysical S-factors for nuclei in the mass region A<20 using single-particle states. We carefully discus…
The nucleon-deuteron radiative capture process is investigated using the chiral nuclear potentials and the electromagnetic currents developed by the Bochum-Bonn group. While the strong interaction is taken up to the next-to-next-to-leading order, the electromagnetic current consists of a single nucleon current, the leading one-pion exchange one and is supplemented by contributions from the long-range two-pion exchange current at next-to-leading-order. The theoretical predictions for the cross sections as well as analyzing powers show strong dependence on the values of regularization parameters…
We have studied the neutron-capture reactions 8Li(n,gamma)9Li and its role in the primordial nucleosynthesis. The n + 8Li --> 9Li + gamma reaction has a significant astrophysical interest because it includes one of the variants of chain of primordial nucleosynthesis processes of the Universe and thermonuclear reactions in type II supernova.
Proton-deuteron radiative capture and two- and three-body photodisintegration of 3He at low energy are described using realistic hadronic dynamics and including the Coulomb force. The sensitivity of the observables to the relativistic corrections of one-nucleon electromagnetic current operator is studied. Significant effects of the relativistic spin-orbit charge are found for the vector analyzing powers in the proton-deuteron radiative capture and for the beam-target parallel-antiparallel spin asymmetry in the three-body photodisintegration of 3He.
We study radiative capture reactions using quasi-separable potentials. This procedure allows an easier treatment of non-local effects that can be extended to three-body problems. Using this technique, we calculate the neutron and proton radiative capture cross sections on $^{12}$C. The results obtained are shown to be in good agreement with the available experimental data.
We investigate the $N^{\ast}(1535)\rightarrow Nγ$ transition in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules. In particular, using the most general form of the interpolating current for the nucleon as well as the distribution amplitudes of the photon, we calculate two transition form factors responsible for this channel and use them to evaluate the decay width and branching ratio of the transition under consideration. The result obtained for the branching fraction is in a good consistency with the experimental data.
The ${^3{\rm He}}(α,γ){^7{\rm Be}}$ and ${^3{\rm H}}(α,γ){^7{\rm Li}}$ astrophysical $S$ factors are evaluated at low collision energies (less than 2.5 MeV in the centre-of-mass frame) within the no-core shell model with continuum approach using a renormalized chiral nucleon-nucleon interaction.
The $π^- + {^2{\rm H}} \rightarrow γ+ n + n$, $π^- + {^3{\rm He}} \rightarrow γ+ {^3{\rm H}}$, $π^- + {^3{\rm He}} \rightarrow γ+ n + d$, $π^- + {^3{\rm He}} \rightarrow γ+ n + n + p$ and $π^- + {^3{\rm H}} \rightarrow γ+ n + n + n$ capture reactions are studied with the AV18 two-nucleon potential and the Urbana~IX three-nucleon potential. We provide for the first time realistic predictions for the differential and total capture rates for all these processes, treating consistently the initial and final nuclear states. Our results are based on the single nucleon Kroll-Ruderman-type transition o…
We derive the short-range contributions and the leading relativistic corrections to the three-nucleon force at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order in the chiral expansion.
在重子手征微扰理论(HBChPT)中计算了$π^- p \to γn$和$π^+ n \to γp$的微分截面,直到$O(p^3)$. $O(p)$和$O(p^2)$中的表达式没有自由参数。

We apply the ab initio no-core shell model/resonating group method (NCSM/RGM) approach to calculate the cross section of the 7Be(p,gamma)8B radiative capture. This reaction is important for understanding the solar neutrino flux. Starting from a selected similarity-transformed chiral nucleon-nucleon interaction that accurately describes two-nucleon data, we performed parameter-free many-body calculations that simultaneously predict both the normalization and the shape of the S-factor. We study the dependence on the number of 7Be eigenstates included in the coupled-channel equations and on the s…
We calculate the leading-order QED radiative corrections to the process $e^- p\rightarrow e^- p l^- l^+ $ in the soft-photon approximation, in two different energy regimes which are of relevance to extract nucleon structure information. In the low-energy region, this process is studied to better constrain the hadronic corrections to precision muonic Hydrogen spectroscopy. In the high-energy region, the beam-spin asymmetry for double virtual Compton scattering allows to directly access the Generalized Parton Distributions. We find that the soft-photon radiative corrections have a large impact o…
We analyze isospin breaking through quark mass differences and virtual photons in the pion-nucleon scattering lengths in all physical channels in the framework of covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory. The so-called triangle relation is found to be violated by about 1.5 %. We encounter a substantial isospin-breaking correction to neutral-pion-nucleon scattering beyond Weinberg's prediction due to a cusp effect. Finally, the application to hadronic atoms is briefly discussed.
Within the pion-nucleon chiral perturbation theory we derive the leading chiral correction to the nucleon GPD at $ξ=0$. We discuss the difficulties of consideration of nonlocal light-cone operators within the theory with a heavy particle and the methods to solve the difficulties. The consideration of the chiral corrections directly for nonlocal operators allows to resolve the ambiguity of the inverse Mellin transformation. In particular, we show that the mixing between axial and vector GPDs are of order $m_π^2/M_N^2$, which is two orders of magnitude less that it follows from the Mellin moment…
The quasielastic charged current (CCQE) $ν_e n \rightarrow e^- p$ scattering is the dominant mechanism to detect appearance of a $ν_e$ in an almost $ν_μ$ flux at the 1 GeV scale. Actual experiments show a precision below 1% and between less known background contributions, but necessary to constraint the event excess, we have the radiative corrections. A consistent model recently developed for the simultaneous description of elastic and radiative $πN$ scattering, pion-photoproduction and single pion production processes, both for charged and neutral current neutrino-nucleon scattering, is exten…
The interpretation of high-precision lepton-nucleon scattering experiments requires the knowledge of higher-order radiative corrections. We present a calculation of the cross section for unpolarized lepton-proton scattering including leptonic radiative corrections up to second order, including one- and two-loop corrections, radiation of one and two photons and one-loop corrections for one-photon radiation. Numerical results are given for the planned P2 experiment at the MESA facility in Mainz, and some results are also discussed for Qweak and the suggested MUSE experiment.
The high precision parity violating electron scattering experiments PREX and QWEAK are sensitive to radiative corrections. In this paper we introduce the PREX experiment that measures the neutron radius of $^{208}$Pb and discuss coulomb distortion corrections. We then discuss dispersion corrections for QWEAK that aims to measure the weak charge of the proton.

The nucleon axial charge is a central ingredient in nuclear and particle physics, and a key observable in precision tests of the electroweak Standard Model sector and beyond. We report on the first complete calculation of its electroweak quantum corrections up to $\mathcal{O}(α)$, using a combination of current algebra techniques and QCD sum rules. We find a substantial enhancement due to the weak magnetism contribution in the elastic channel, and include higher-twist and target mass corrections at low $Q^2$ to find $Δ_R^A = 0.02881(22)$. Using analogous methods, we determine a new value for t…
The differential cross section for elastic scattering of deuterons on electrons at rest is calculated taking into account the QED radiative corrections to the leptonic part of interaction. These model-independent radiative corrections arise due to emission of the virtual and real soft and hard photons as well as to vacuum polarization. We consider an experimental setup where both final particles are recorded in coincidence and their energies are determined within some uncertainties. The kinematics, the cross section, and the radiative corrections are calculated and numerical results are presen…
We investigate the interactions of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPS) with nucleons in nuclear medium by taking into account the effect of nuclear dynamics. We derive the nonrelativistic effective operators starting from the relativistic mean-field approximation. Certain interactions receive non-negligible corrections, which may significantly change the sensitivities of WIMP-nucleus scattering cross section to these effective operators.
Properties of amplitudes that describe radiative corrections in a bag of heavy fermions bound by the Higgs boson exchange are studied. Classes of amplitudes, in which the large fermion mass is canceled out and hence produces no enhancement for the radiative corrections are found. For fermions with masses in the region 400< m < 1000 Gev all relevant amplitudes are found to possess this property. Correspondingly the radiative corrections for this range of masses are small. For very heavy fermions, m>1000 Gev, the processes described by diagrams with closed fermion loops are also mass-independent…
