研究了费米实验室Tevatron对撞机D 0实验收集的积分光度的过程$p\bar{p} \rightarrow WZ \rightarrow \ellν\ell^+\ell-$和$p\bar{p} \rightarrow ZZ \rightarrow \ell^+\ell^-ν\barν, where $ \ell $ = $ e $ or $ μ $. Using 8.6 fb$ ^{-1},我们测得$WZ$产生截面为4.50 $^{+0.63}_{-0.66} pb which is consistent with, but slightly above a prediction of the standard model. The ZZ cross section is measured to be 1.64 $ \pm $ 0.46 pb, in agreement with a prediction of the standard model. Combination with an earlier analysis of the $ $ 0.46 pb, in agreement with a prediction of the standard model. Combination with an earlier analysis of the $ ZZ \rightarrow \ell^+ \ell^- \ell^+ \ell^- $ channel yields a $ ZZ $ cross section of 1.44$ ^{+0.35}_{-0.34}$ pb。

We study the processes $p\bar{p} \rightarrow WZ \rightarrow \ellν\ell^+\ell-$ and $p\bar{p} \rightarrow ZZ \rightarrow \ell^+\ell^-ν\barν, where $\ell$ = $e$ or $μ$. Using 8.6 fb$^{-1} of integrated luminosity collected by the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron collider, we measure the $WZ$ production cross section to be 4.50$^{+0.63}_{-0.66} pb which is consistent with, but slightly above a prediction of the standard model. The ZZ cross section is measured to be 1.64 $\pm$ 0.46 pb, in agreement with a prediction of the standard model. Combination with an earlier analysis of the $ZZ \rightarrow \ell^+\ell^-\ell^+\ell^-$ channel yields a $ZZ$ cross section of 1.44$^{+0.35}_{-0.34}$ pb.
The latest results of the ATLAS experiment for the production of a top-quark pair in association with a photon using proton-proton collision data from the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV are summarised here. This includes inclusive and differential cross-sections measurements performed in single-lepton and dilepton final states in a fiducial volume corresponding to the experimental acceptance.
The recent experimental developments require a more precise theoretical study of weak decays of heavy baryon $Λ_b^0$. In this work, we provide an updated and systematic analysis of both the semi-leptonic and nonleptonic decays of $Λ^0_b$ into baryons $Λ^+_c$, $Λ$, $p$, and $n$. The diquark approximation is adopted so that the methods developed in the $B$ meson system can be extended into the baryon system. The baryon-to-baryon transition form factors are calculated in the framework of a covariant light-front quark model. The form factors $f_3, ~g_3$ can be extracted and are found to be non-neg…
The spectrum of the $s\bar s$ mesons is studied performing a phenomenological analysis of the Regge trajectories defined for the excitation energies. For the $ϕ(3 ^3S_1)$ state the mass $M(ϕ(3S))=2100(20)$ MeV and the leptonic width $Γ_{ee}(ϕ(3S))=0.27(2)$ keV are obtained, while the mass of the $2 ^3D_1$ state, $M(ϕ(2 ^3D_3))=2180(5)$ MeV, appears to be in agreement with the mass of the $ϕ(2170)$ resonance, and its leptonic width, $Γ_{ee}(2 ^3D_1)=0.20\pm 0.10$ keV, has a large theoretical uncertainty, depending on the parameters of the flattened confining potential.
Many new physics models, e.g., compositeness, extra dimensions, extended Higgs sectors, supersymmetric theories, and dark sector extensions, are expected to manifest themselves in the final states with leptons. Searches in CMS for new phenomena in the final states that include leptons, focusing on the recent results obtained using the Run-II data set collected at the LHC are described here.
We consider leptonic $B^-\to \ell^- \barν_\ell$ and semileptonic $\bar B \to π\ell^- \barν_\ell$, $\bar B \to ρ\ell^- \barν_\ell$ decays and present a strategy to determine short-distance coefficients of New-Physics operators and the CKM element $|V_{ub}|$. As the leptonic channels play a central role, we illustrate this method for (pseudo)-scalar operators which may lift the helicity suppression of the corresponding transition amplitudes arising in the Standard Model. Utilising a new result by the Belle collaboration for the branching ratio of $B^-\to μ^- \barν_μ$, we explore theoretically cl…
Many theories beyond the Standard Model predict new phenomena which decay to well isolated, high-$p_{\text{T}}$ leptons. Searches for new physics with these signatures are performed using the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. The results reported here use the pp collision data sample collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC with a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV.
Searches for supersymmetry (SUSY) models with a compressed mass spectrum are theoretically motivated but also pose experimental challenges. Two recent searches from the CMS Collaboration targeting leptonic final states that can originate from such models are presented. The first search investigates SUSY signatures with two opposite sign or three low momentum leptons, while the second probes the parameter space of top squark models, where the mass difference of the lightest SUSY particles is close to the mass of the top quark. Both searches are based on the full dataset collected by CMS during …
We study the anomalous $t\bar{t}Z$ couplings in the $t\bar{t}Z$ production in leptonic final state at the $13$ TeV LHC. We use the polarizations of top quarks and $Z$ boson, two-body and three-body spin correlations among the top quarks and $Z$ boson, and the cross section to probe the anomalous couplings. We estimate one parameter and simultaneous limits on the couplings of the effective vertex as well as the effective operators for a set of luminosities $150$ fb$^{-1}$, $300$ fb$^{-1}$, $1000$ fb$^{-1}$, and $3000$ fb$^{-1}$. The polarizations and the spin correlations are found to be helpfu…
We calculate, for the first time, the NNLO QCD corrections to identified heavy hadron production at hadron colliders. The calculation is based on a flexible numeric framework which allows the calculation of any distribution of a single identified heavy hadron plus jets and non-QCD particles. As a first application we provide NNLO QCD predictions for several differential distributions of $B$ hadrons in $t\bar t$ events at the LHC. Among others, these predictions are needed for the precise determination of the top quark mass. The extension of our results to other processes, like open or associat…
Search for the standard model Higgs boson decaying to a W pair in the fully leptonic final state in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV
A search for a heavy resonance decaying into $WZ$ in the fully leptonic channel (electrons and muons) is performed. It is based on proton-proton collision data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb$^{-1}$. No significant excess is observed over the Standard Model predictions and limits are set on the production cross section times branching ratio of a heavy vector particle produced either in quark-antiquark fusion or through vector-boson fusion. Constraints are also obtained on t…
The phenomenon of $B^0_q$-$\bar{B}^0_q$ mixing ($q=d,s$) provides a sensitive probe for physics beyond the Standard Model. We have a careful look at the determination of the Unitarity Triangle apex, which is needed for the Standard Model predictions of the $B_q$ mixing parameters, and explore how much space for New Physics is left through the current data. We study the impact of tensions between inclusive and exclusive determinations of the CKM matrix elements $|V_{ub}|$ and $|V_{cb}|$, and focus on the $γ$ angle extraction. We present various future scenarios and discuss the application of th…
We study color allowed $Λ_b\to Λ^{(*,**)}_c M^-$, $Ξ_b\toΞ_c^{(**)} M^-$ and $Ω_b\toΩ^{(*)}_c M^-$ decays with $M=π, K,ρ, K^*, D, D_s, D^*, D^*_s, a_1$, $Λ^{(*,**)}_c=Λ_c$, $Λ_c(2595)$, $Λ_c(2765)$, $Λ_c(2940)$, $Ξ_c^{(**)}=Ξ_c, Ξ_c(2790)$ and $Ω^{(*)}_c=Ω_c, Ω_c(3090)$, in this work. There are three types of transitions, namely ${\cal B}_b({\bf \bar 3_f},1/2^+)$ to ${\cal B}_c({\bf \bar 3_f},1/2^+)$, ${\cal B}_b({\bf 6_f},1/2^+)$ to ${\cal B}_c({\bf 6_f},1/2^+)$ and ${\cal B}_b({\bf \bar 3_f},1/2^+)$ to ${\cal B}_c({\bf \bar 3_f},1/2^-)$ transitions. The bottom baryon to charmed baryon form f…
Motivated by ongoing new physics searches in the top-quark sector at the Large Hadron Collider we report on the calculation of NLO QCD corrections to the Standard Model $pp\to t\bar{t}Z+X$ process in the tetra-lepton decay channel. This calculation is based on the matrix elements for the $e^+ ν_e\, μ^-\barν_μ\, b\bar{b} \,τ^+τ^-$ final state and includes all resonant and non-resonant Feynman diagrams, interferences and off-shell effects of the top quark as well as the $W$ and $Z$ gauge bosons. Also incorporated are photon-induced contributions. As it is customary for such studies, we show theo…
Understanding the polarisation structure and providing precise predictions for multi-boson processes at the LHC is becoming urgent in the light of the upcoming run-3 and high-luminosity data. The CMS and ATLAS collaborations have already started using polarised predictions to perform template fits of the data, getting access to the polarisation of W and Z bosons. So far, only fully-leptonic decay channels have been considered in this perspective. The natural step forward is the investigation of hadronic decays of electroweak bosons. In this work, we compute NLO QCD corrections to the productio…
Data in $B$-meson decays indicate violations of lepton flavour universality, thereby raising the question about such phenomena in the charm sector. We perform a model-independent analysis of NP contributions in (semi)-leptonic decays of $D_{(s)}$ mesons which originate from $c \to d \bar{\ell} ν_{\ell}$ and $c \to s \bar{\ell} ν_{\ell}$ charge-current interactions. Starting from the most general low-energy effective Hamiltonian containing four-fermion operators and the corresponding short-distance coefficients, we explore the impact of new (pseudo)-scalar, vector and tensor operators and const…
Motivated by recent anomalies in FCNC $b\to s\ell^+\ell^-$, we study $B_1\to B_2\ell^+\ell^-(\ell=e,μ,τ)$ semi-leptonic weak decays with the SU(3) flavor symmetry, where $B_{1,2}$ are the spin-1/2 baryons of single bottomed anti-triplet $T_{b3}$, single charmed anti-triplet $T_{c3}$ or light baryon octet $T_{8}$. Using the SU(3) irreducible representation approach, we first obtain the amplitude relations among different decays, and then predict the relevant not-yet measured observables of these decays. (a) We calculate the branching ratios of the $T_{b3}\to T_8 μ^+μ^-$ and $T_{b3}\to T_8 τ^+τ^…
Employing the QCD factorization formalism we compute $B_{u}^{-} \to γ^{\ast} \, \ell \, \bar ν_{\ell}$ form factors with an off-shell photon state possessing the virtuality of order $m_b \, Λ_{\rm QCD}$ and $m_b^2$, respectively, at next-to-leading order in QCD. Perturbative resummation for the enhanced logarithms of $m_b / Λ_{\rm QCD}$ in the resulting factorization formulae is subsequently accomplished at next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy with the renormalization-group technique in momentum space. In particular, we derive the soft-collinear factorization formulae for a variety of the subl…
