Low-temperature dependence of the thermo-magnetic transport properties of the SrTiO3/LaAlO3 interface

We report transport measurements, including: Hall, Seebeck and Nernst Effect. All these transport properties exhibit anomalous field and temperature dependences, with a change of behavior observed at about H 1.5T and T 15K. We were able to reconcile the low-temperature-low-field behavior of all transport properties using a simple two band analysis. A more detailed model is required in order to explain the high magnetic field regime.

Giant Oscillating Thermopower at Oxide Interfaces

Understanding the nature of charge carriers at the LaAlO3/SrTiO3 interface is one of the major open issues in the full comprehension of the charge confinement phenomenon in oxide heterostructures. Here, we investigate thermopower to study the electronic structure in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 at low temperature as a function of gate field. In particular, under large negative gate voltage, corresponding to the strongly depleted charge density regime, thermopower displays record-high negative values of the order of 10^4 - 10^5 microV/K, oscillating at regular intervals as a function of the gate voltage. Thermoelectric transport across the metamagnetic transition of CeRu2Si2

We have measured the thermopower across the metamagnetic transition of the heavy fermion compound CeRu2Si2 at temperatures down to 0.1K and magnetic fields up to 11.5T. We find a large negative enhancement of the thermopower on crossing the metamagnetic field, as well as a sudden change in slope. We argue that this is consistent with the Zeeman-driven deformation of the Fermi surface through a topological transition. The field dependence of the thermopower highlights the discrepancy between thermodynamic and transport properties across the metamagnetic transition.

Anomalous magneto-transport at the superconducting interface between LaAlO3 and SrTiO3

The magnetoresistance as a function of temperature and field for atomically flat interfaces between 8 unit cells of LaAlO3 and SrTiO3 is reported. Anomalous anisotropic behavior of the magnetoresistance is observed below 30 K for superconducting samples with carrier concentration of 3.5\times10^13 cm^-2 . We associate this behavior to a magnetic order formed at the interface.

Determining all thermodynamic transport coefficients for an interacting large N quantum field theory

Thermodynamic transport coefficients can be calculated directly from quantum field theory without requiring analytic continuation to real time. We determine all second-order thermodynamic transport coefficients for the uncharged N-component massless (critical) scalar field theory with quartic interaction in the large N limit, for any value of the coupling. We find that in the large N limit, all thermodynamic transport coefficients for the interacting theory can be expressed analytically in terms of the in-medium mass and sums over modified Bessel functions. Probing hot electron transport across an epitaxial Schottky interface of SrRuO3/Nb:SrTiO3

SrRuO3 (SRO), a conducting transition metal oxide, is commonly used for engineering domains in BiFeO3. New oxide devices can be envisioned by integrating SRO with an oxide semiconductor as Nb doped SrTiO3 (Nb:STO). Using a three-terminal device configuration, we study vertical transport in a SRO/Nb:STO device at the nanoscale and find local differences in transport, that originate due to the high selectivity of SRO growth on the underlying surface terminations in Nb:STO. Electrical transport across Au/Nb:SrTiO3 Schottky interface with different Nb doping

We have investigated electron transport in Nb doped SrTiO$_3$ single crystals for two doping densities. We find that the resistivity and mobility are temperature dependent in both whereas the carrier concentration is almost temperature invariant. We rationalize this using the hydrogenic theory for shallow donors. Further, we probe electrical transport across Schottky interfaces of Au on TiO$_2$ terminated n-type SrTiO$_3$. δ-doped LaAlO3-SrTiO3 interface: Electrical transport and characterization of the interface potential

Here we investigate LaAlO_3-SrTiO_3 heterostructure withδ-doping of the interface by LaMnO_3 at less than one monolayer. Tuning spin-orbit coupling and superconductivity at the SrTiO3/LaAlO3 interface: a magneto-transport study

The superconducting transition temperature, Tc, of the SrTiO3/LaAlO3 interface was varied by the electric field effect. The anisotropy of the upper critical field and the normal state magneto-transport were studied as a function of gate voltage. The spin-orbit coupling energy is extracted. This tunable energy scale is used to explain the strong gate dependence of the mobility and of the anomalous Hall signal observed. The spin-orbit coupling energy follows Tc for the electric field range under study.
