We examine the low scale particle spectroscopy of an SO(10) (or equivalently SU(5)) inspired supersymmetric model with non-universal gaugino masses. The model assumes minimal supergravity and contains the same number of fundamental parameters as the constrained minimal supersymmetric model (CMSSM.) Realistic solutions compatible with dark matter and other applicable experimental constraints are shown to exist for both positive and negative signs of the MSSM parameter mu. We present several benchmark points which will be tested at the LHC and by the ongoing direct and indirect dark matter detection experiments.
The doublet-triplet splitting problem in supersymmetric grand unified theories is elegantly solved in a supersymmetric SO(10)_GUT x SO(6)_H model. In this model, the gauginos in the supersymmetric standard model do not respect the usual GUT gaugino mass relation. We point out that in spite of non-unified gaugino masses there is one nontrivial relation among gaugino masses in the model. Thus, it can be used to test the model in future experiments.
We study the two-loop renormalization group equation for the running gaugino mass in the supersymmetric gauge theory. We find that both in the \msbar and \drbar renormalization schemes, the well-known proportionality of the runnings of the gaugino mass and the gauge coupling constant is violated at the two-loop order, even in models with vector supermultiplets only. Scheme dependence of the running gaugino mass is clarified.
The gaugino mass relations $m_3/{g_3^2} = m_2/{g_2^2} = m_1/{g_1^2}$ are considered to be robust signals for supersymmetric grand unification. In this letter, we point out that these relations may be significantly modified in an interesting class of models which solve the doublet-triplet splitting problem using a missing partner mechanism together with a strong hypercolor gauge group. The observation of non-unified gaugino masses, together with unified sfermion masses, provides a distinctive signature for these models.
We calculate the two-loop renormalization group equations for the running gaugino masses in general SUSY gauge models, improving our previous result. We also study its consequence to the unification of the gaugino masses in the SUSY SU(5) model. The two-loop correction to the one-loop relation $m_i(μ)\proptoα_i(μ)$ is found to be of the order of a few \%.
We calculate the dependence on intermediate scale of the gaugino mass ratios upon breaking of SO(10) into the SM via an intermediate group $H$. We see that the ratios change significantly when the intermediate scale is low (say, $10^8$ GeV or 1 Tev) compared to the case when the two breakings occur at the same scale.
We show that the gaugino and higgsino sectors of supersymmetric theories can naturally acquire observable CP violation through radiative effects which originate from large CP-violating trilinear couplings of the Higgs bosons to the third-generation scalar quarks. These CP-violating loop effects are not attainable by evolving the supersymmetric renormalization-group equations from a higher unification scale down to the electroweak one. We briefly discuss the phenomenological consequences of such a scenario, and as an example, calculate the two-loop contribution to the neutron electric dipole mo…
Minimal supersymmetric SU(5) with exact unification is naively inconsistent with proton decay constraints. However, it can be made viable by a gravity-induced non-renormalizable operator connecting the adjoint Higgs boson and adjoint vector boson representations. We compute the allowed coupling space for this theory and find natural compatibility with proton decay constraints even for relatively light superpartner masses. The modifications away from the naive SU(5) theory have an impact on the gaugino mass spectrum, which we calculate. A combination of precision Linear Collider and Large Hadro…
A lepton flavor violating process $μ\to eγ$ is investigated in the supersymmetric extra U(1) models, which often appear as the low energy effective models of superstring and can potentially solve the $μ$-problem. The branching ratio of this process is calculated. It is numerically estimated and compared with that of the MSSM. In this study we take account of an abelian gaugino kinetic term mixing and discuss its influence on this process. The possibility to find the extra gauge structure through this process is discussed.
Realizing that couplings related by supersymmetry (SUSY) can be disentangled when SUSY is broken, it is suggested that unwanted flavor and CP violating SUSY couplings may be suppressed via quenched gaugino-flavor interactions, which may be accomplished by power-law running of sfermion anomalous dimensions. A simple theoretical framework to accomplish this is exemplified and the defeated constraints are tallied. One key implication of the scenario is the expectation of enhanced top, bottom and tau production at the LHC, accompanied by large missing energy. Also, direct detection signals of dark…
We examine the possibilities for constructing models with Dirac gaugino masses and unification of gauge couplings. We identify one promising model, and discuss to what extent it can have a "natural SUSY" spectrum. We then determine the low-energy constraints upon it, and propose a constrained set of boundary conditions at the unification scale. We describe the implementation of these boundary conditions in the spectrum-generator generator \SARAH and we perform a first exploration of the parameter space, specifically searching for points where the spectrum is relatively light. It is shown that …
Many supersymmetry models feature gauginos and also sleptons with masses below a few hundred GeV. These can give rise to direct pair production rates at the LHC that can be observed in the data sample recorded by the ATLAS detector. The talk presents results from searches for gaugino and slepton pair production in final states with leptons.
Bino-like dark matter in supersymmetric theories tends to suffer from over-production. This problem can be evaded if there is another gaugino which has a mass close to the bino mass so that it enhances the annihilation rate of bino dark matter through coannihilation. We study such possibilities in high-scale supersymmetric models, and show that searches for long-lived particles with displaced vertices can test the bino-gaugino coannihilation scenario in the forthcoming LHC experiments.
We resolve an ambiguity in the sign of the gaugino determinant in supersymmetric models. The result, that the gaugino determinant can be taken positive for all background gauge configurations, is necessary for application of QCD inequalities and lattice Monte Carlo methods to supersymmetric Yang-Mills models.
We consider SUSY SO(10) models in which SUSY breaking occurs via an F-term which does not transform as an SO(10) singlet. This results in non-universal GUT-scale gaugino masses leading to a different pattern of sparticle masses from what is expected in the minimal supergravity model (mSUGRA). We study three breaking chains of SO(10) down to the standard model through SU(4)$\timesSU(2)\times$SU(2), SU(2)$\times$SO(7) and `flipped' SU(5) achieved by the representations 54 and 210 which appear in the symmetric product of two SO(10) adjoints. We examine the phenomenological implications of the dif…
Grand unified theories can lead to non-universal boundary conditions for the gaugino masses at the unification scale. We consider the implications of such non-universal boundary conditions for the composition of the lightest neutralino as well as for the upper bound on its mass in the simplest supersymmetric grand unified theory based on the SU(5) gauge group. We derive sum rules for neutralino and chargino masses in different representations of SU(5) which lead to different non-universal boundary conditions for the gaugino masses at the unification scale. We also consider the phenomenological…
We study a class of supersymmetric models with non-universal gaugino masses that could arise from F-terms in a general combination of the singlet and adjoint representations of SU(5). We explore models that satisfy present Large Hadron Collider and other bounds, showing how the allowed parameter space is divided into distinct "continents". Regions of parameter space that ameliorate the supersymmetric little hierarchy problem with a small mu parameter include the usual focus point scenario, but also natural areas with much lighter squarks and sleptons. These models are continuously connected in…
We compute the two-loop O(as*at) corrections to the Higgs boson masses in supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model with Dirac gaugino masses. We rely on the effective-potential technique, allow for both Dirac and Majorana mass terms for the gluinos, and compute the corrections in both the DRbar and on-shell renormalisation schemes. We give detailed results for the MDGSSM and the MRSSM, and simple approximate formulae valid in the decoupling limit for all currently-studied variants of supersymmetric models with Dirac gluinos. These results represent the first explicit two-loop calculatio…
In this paper we study a class of supersymmetric models with non-universal gaugino masses that arise from a mixture of SU(5) singlet and non-singlet representations, i.e. a combination of \textbf{1}, \textbf{24}, \textbf{75} and \textbf{200}. Based on these models we calculate the expected dark matter signatures within the linear combination \textbf{1} $\oplus$ \textbf{24} $\oplus$ \textbf{75} $\oplus$ \textbf{200}. We confront the model predictions with the detected boson as well as current experimental limits from selected indirect and direct dark matter search experiments ANTARES respective…
Non-universal boundary conditions in grand unified theories can lead to nonuniversal gaugino masses at the unification scale. In R-parity preserving theories the lightest supersymmetric particle is a natural candidate for the dark matter. The composition of the lightest neutralino and the identity of the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle are studied, when nonuniversal gaugino masses come from representations of SO(10). In these cases, the thermal relic density compatible with the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe observations is found. Relic densities are compared with the universal …
We derive the non-universal gaugino mass ratios in a supergravity (SUGRA) framework where the Higgs superfields belong to the non-singlet representations {\bf 54} and {\bf 770} in a SO(10) Grand Unified Theory (GUT). We evaluate the ratios for the phenomenologically viable intermediate breaking chain $SU(4)_C \times SU(2)_L \times SU(2)_R (G_{422})$. After a full calculation of the gaugino mass ratios, noting some errors in the earlier calculation for {\bf 54}, we obtain, using the renormalisation group equations (RGE), interesting low scale phenomenology of such breaking patterns. Here, we as…
We study phenomenological aspects of supersymmetric SU(5) grand unified theories with non-universal gaugino masses. For large tan beta, we investigate constraints from the requirement of successful electroweak symmetry breaking, the positivity of stau mass squared and the b to s gamma decay rate. In the allowed region, the nature of the lightest supersymmetric particle is determined. Examples of mass spectra are given. We also calculate loop corrections to the bottom mass due to superpartners.
We study electroweak baryogenesis in the E_6 inspired exceptional supersymmetric standard model ( E_6SSM ). The relaxation coefficients driven by singlinos and the new gaugino as well as the transport equation of the Higgs supermultiplet number density in the E_6SSM are calculated. Our numerical simulation shows that both CP-violating source terms from singlinos and the new gaugino can solely give rise to a correct baryon asymmetry of the Universe via the electroweak baryogenesis mechanism.
We determine the radiative corrections to the masses of the gauginos and Higgsinos in the MSSM, including all sectors of the theory in a one-loop calculation in the on-mass-shell renormalization scheme. We find that a gluino which is massless at tree level receives a mass of between 0 and 3 GeV, primarily due to the top/stop contribution. This radiatively generated mass depends directly on the off-diagonal element of the squark mass matrix. In the case of a massive gluino, its mass receives typically large corrections, as large as 40\% for a 125 GeV gluino. We find that the contributions to th…
The SUSY CP problem is one of serious problems in construction of realistic supersymmetric standard models. We consider the problem in a framework in which adjoint chiral multiplets are introduced and gauginos have Dirac mass terms induced by a U(1) gauge interaction in the hidden sector. This is realized in hidden sector models without singlet chiral multiplets, which are favored from a recent study of the Polonyi problem. We find that the dominant contributions to electron and neutron electric dipole moments (EDMs) in the model come from phases in the supersymmetric adjoint mass terms. When …
The electric dipole moment of an electron (EDME) is investigated in the supersymmetric extra U(1) models. Neutralino sector is generally extended in these models and then the neutralino contribution will be important for the analysis of the EDME. Kinetic term mixings of abelian gauginos are taken into account in our analysis. Numerical results for the extra U(1) models show that the EDME can be affected by the extra U(1) in a certain range of soft supersymmetry breaking parameters even if the extra U(1) gauge boson is heavy. The EDME may be a clue to find an extended gauge structure in the sup…
We present 4D gauge theories which at low energies coincide with higher dimensional supersymmetric (SUSY) gauge theories on a transverse lattice. We show that in the simplest case of pure 5D SUSY Yang-Mills there is an enhancement of SUSY in the continuum limit without fine-tuning. This result no longer holds in the presence of matter fields, in which case fine-tuning is necessary to ensure higher dimensional Lorentz invariance and supersymmetry. We use this construction to generate 4D models which mimic gaugino mediation of SUSY breaking. The way supersymmetry breaking is mediated in these mo…
We consider the possibility that the recently reported events at the CDMS-II direct dark matter detection experiment are the result of coherent scattering of supersymmetric neutralinos. In such a scenario we argue that non-universal soft supersymmetry breaking gaugino masses are favored with a resulting lightest neutralino with significant Higgsino and wino components. We discuss the accompanying signals which must be seen at liquid-xenon direct detection experiments and indirect detection experiments if such a supersymmetric interpretation is to be maintained. We illustrate the possible conse…
We consider the possibility that the heavier CP-even Higgs boson~($H^0$) in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) decays invisibly into neutralinos in the light of the recent discovery of the 126 GeV resonance at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). For this purpose we consider the minimal supersymmetric standard model with universal, non-universal and arbitrary boundary conditions on the supersymmetry breaking gaugino mass parameters at the grand unified scale. Typically, scenarios with universal and nonuniversal gaugino masses do not allow invisible decays of the lightest Higgs b…
The Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) provides a natural framework to realize a low-scale supersymmetric (SUSY) model, where a singlet superfield is added to the minimal model to generate a SUSY-scale higgsino mass term with its vacuum expectation value. Due to the presence of the extra singlet field, the vacuum conditions to realize the correct electroweak symmetry-breaking become fairly restrictive especially if we impose universality conditions at the unification scale. In this paper, we show that a non-universal gaugino mass spectrum can significantly relax this restric…
We study a specific SUGRA model with nonuniversal gaugino masses as an alternative to the minimal SUGRA model in the context of supersymmetric dark matter. The lightest supersymmetric particle in this model comes out to be a Higgsino dominated instead of a bino dominated lightest neutralino. The thermal relic density of this Higgsino dark matter is somewhat lower than the cosmologically favoured range, which means it may be only a subdominant component of the cold dark matter. Nonetheless, it predicts favourable rates of indirect detection, which can be seen in square-km size neutrino telescop…
We consider supersymmetric grand unified theory (GUT) with the gaugino mediated supersymmetry breaking and investigate a possibility to discriminate different GUT models in terms of predicted sparticle mass spectra. Taking two example GUT models, the minimal SU(5) and simple SO(10) models, and imposing a variety of theoretical and experimental constraints, we calculate sparticle masses. Fixing parameters of each model so as to result in the same mass of neutralino as the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP), giving the observed dark matter relic density, we find sizable mass differences in t…
We study a scenario that a hidden gaugino dark matter decays into the standard-model particles (and their supersymmetric partners) through a kinetic mixing with the gaugino of a U(1)B-L broken at a scale close to the grand unification scale. We show that decay of the hidden gaugino can explain excesses in the cosmic-ray electrons and positrons observed by PAMELA and Fermi.
We present the full $\mathcal{O}(α_s)$ supersymmetric QCD corrections for gaugino annihilation and co-annihilation into light and heavy quarks in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We demonstrate that these channels are phenomenologically relevant within the so-called phenomenological MSSM. We discuss selected technical details such as the dipole subtraction method in the case of light quarks and the treatment of the bottom quark mass and Yukawa coupling. Numerical results for the (co-)annihilation cross sections and the predicted neutralino relic density are presented. We show …
It has recently been proposed that all fundamental fermion masses (whether Dirac or Majorana) come from effective dimension-five operators in the context of a truly minimal left-right model. We show how a particularly economical scheme emerges in a supersymmetric framework, where chiral symmetry breaking originates in the gaugino sector.
Supersymmetric models with Dirac instead of Majorana gaugino masses have distinct phenomenological consequences. In this paper, we investigate the electroweakino sector of the Minimal Dirac Gaugino Supersymmetric Standard Model (MDGSSM) with regards to dark matter (DM) and collider constraints. We delineate the parameter space where the lightest neutralino of the MDGSSM is a viable DM candidate, that makes for at least part of the observed relic abundance while evading constraints from DM direct detection, LEP and lowenergy data, and LHC Higgs measurements. The collider phenomenology of the th…
We consider a singlino dominated neutralino in supersymmetric models with an extra U(1). In case both the $μ$ term and also the $Z^\prime$ mass are generated by the vacuum expectation value of the scalar component of the same singlet chiral superfield, generically the lightest neutralino is not expected to be dominated by the singlino. However, if the gaugino corresponding to the extra U(1) is sufficiently heavy, the lightest neutralino can be dominated by the singlino and still satisfy the constraints resulting from the $Z^\prime$ phenomenology. We assume a supersymmetry breaking scenario in …
Grand unified theories (GUTs) can lead to non-universal gaugino masses at the unification scale. We study the implications of such non-universal gaugino masses for the composition of the lightest neutralino in supersymmetric (SUSY) theories based on SU(5) gauge group. We also consider the phenomenological implications of non-universal gaugino masses for the phenomenology of Higgs bosons in the context of Large Hadron Collider.
Supersymmetric cascades, involving charginos and neutralinos at various stages, contribute in a significant way to Higgs production at the LHC. We explore the nature of such cascades, completely relaxing the universality of the gaugino masses. It is found that the deviation from the scenario with universal gaugino masses would be reflected in the relative production rates for the lightest Higgs and the charged Higgses, two characteristic particles of an extended Higgs sector.
We examine the mechanism of gaugino condensation in supersymmetric theories within a Nambu-Jona-Lasinio type approach. We investigate the effective Lagrangian description of higher energy theories that include some moduli fields in the gauge coupling constant. First we consider supersymmetric QCD with and without a mass term. We can find a phase transition in massless theory, but when we add a mass term, such a phase transition disappears. We also examine a model with a dilaton dependent coupling constant and find that it is very similar to supersymmetric QCD. Application of our method to supe…
We study a supersymmetric scenario with a quasi exact R-symmetry in light of the discovery of a Higgs resonance with a mass of 125 GeV. In such a framework, the additional adjoint superfields, needed to give Dirac masses to the gauginos, contribute both to the Higgs mass and to electroweak precision observables. We analyze the interplay between the two aspects, finding regions in parameter space in which the contributions to the precision observables are under control and a 125 GeV Higgs boson can be accommodated. We estimate the fine-tuning of the model finding regions of the parameter space …
We argue that supersymmetric grand unification of gauge couplings is not incompatible with small $α_s$, even without large GUT-scale corrections, if one relaxes a usual universal gaugino mass assumption. A commonly assumed relation $M_2\simeq m_{\rm gluino}/3$ is in gross contradiction with $α_s\approx 0.11$. Instead, small $α_s$ favors $M_2\gg m_{\rm gluino}$. If this is indeed the case our observation casts doubt on another commonly used relation $M_1\simeq 0.5 M_2$ which originates from the same constraint of a common gaugino mass at the GUT scale. One firm prediction emerging within the sm…
The rare decay $b \to s γ$ is studied in the left-right supersymmetric model. We give explicit expressions for all the amplitudes associated with the supersymmetric contributions coming from gluinos, charginos and neutralinos in the model to one-loop level. The branching ratio is enhanced significantly compared to the standard model and minimal supersymmetric standard model values by contributions from the right-handed gaugino and squark sector. We give numerical results coming from the leading order contributions. If the only source of flavor violation comes from the CKM matrix, we constrain …
In this talk we investigate the dark matter prospects for supersymmetric models with non-universal gaugino masses. We motivate the use of non-universal gaugino masses from several directions, including problems with the current favorite scenario, the cMSSM. We then display new corridors of parameter space that allow an acceptable dark matter relic density once gaugino mass universality is relaxed. We finish with a specific string-derived model that allows this universality relaxation and then use the dark matter constraint to make specific statements about the hidden sector of the model.
We consider supersymmetric theories where the standard-model quark and lepton fields are localized on a "3-brane" in extra dimensions, while the gauge and Higgs fields propagate in the bulk. If supersymmetry is broken on another 3-brane, supersymmetry breaking is communicated to gauge and Higgs fields by direct higher-dimension interactions, and to quark and lepton fields via standard-model loops. We show that this gives rise to a realistic and predictive model for supersymmetry breaking. The size of the extra dimensions is required to be of order 10-100 times larger than fundamental scale (e.…
Once superpartners are discovered at colliders, the next challenge will be to determine the parameters of the supersymmetric Lagrangian. We illustrate how the relative phases of the gluino, SU(2), and U(1) gauginos and the Higgsino mass parameter mu can be measured at a hadron collider without ad hoc assumptions about the underlying physics, focusing on Fermilab. We also discuss how the gluino and LSP masses can be measured.
We consider the extension of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model by Dirac masses for the gauginos. We study the possibility that the same singlet that pairs up with the bino, to form a Dirac fermion, is used to generate mu and Bmu terms through its vacuum expectation value. For this purpose, we assume that, in the Higgs potential, the necessary R-symmetry breaking originates entirely from a superpotential term cubic in the singlet and discuss the implications for the spectrum of the model.
We investigate the production process of the single scalar bottom quark (sbottom) and scalar charm quark (scharm) at HERA. The sbottom and scharm could be produced via an R-parity breaking interactions $λ'_{123} \neq 0$ in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). These processes give a slight excess in the invariant mass $M_{eq}$ distribution of the high $Q^2$ deep inelastic scattering for sufficiently heavy gauginos and the scalar top (stop). For the light gauginos and stop, it is shown that the tagging of $b/c$-quarks and charged leptons with high transverse energies will be indispe…
We discuss prospects of studying supersymmetric model at future $pp$ circular collider (FCC) with its centre-of-mass energy of $\sim 100\ {\rm TeV}$. We pay particular attention to the model in which Wino is lighter than other supersymmetric particles and all the gauginos are within the kinematical reach of the FCC, which is the case in a large class of so-called pure gravity mediation model based on anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking. In such a class of model, charged Wino becomes long-lived with its decay length of $\sim 6\ {\rm cm}$, and the charged Wino tracks may be identified in par…
We investigate models of supersymmetric grand unification based on the gauge group SU(5). We consider models with non-universal gaugino masses and confront them with low energy constraints, including the Higgs boson mass and the Dark Matter relic density. We also discuss fine-tuning and show the effect of not including the mu-parameter into fine tuning determinations. With this relaxation, we find viable scenarios with low fine tuning and study some model choices for gaugino mass ratios. We demonstrate that some orbifold inspired models may provide low fine-tuning and the preferred relic abund…
We obtain exact relations (valid to all orders in the coupling constant) for the running gaugino mass in supersymmetric gauge theories, treating the soft supersymmetry breaking effects in the linear approximation. If a supersymmetry breaking squark (selectron) mass term is introduced, our relation connects the renormalization group equation for this term with that for the gaugino mass. Exact relations for the threshold effects in the gaugino masses are derived. The key ingredients of our analysis is the use of the Wilsonean action and holomorphy of this action with respect to relevant paramete…
As experimental constraints on the parameter space of the MSSM and close variations thereof become stronger, the motivation to explore supersymmetric models that challenge some of the standard assumptions of the MSSM also become stronger. For example, models where the gauginos are Dirac instead of Majorana have recently received more attention. Beside allowing for a supersoft SUSY breaking mechanism where the gauginos only provide finite threshold corrections to scalar masses, the cross section for the production of a squark pairs is reduced. In addition, Dirac gauginos can be used to build mo…
We compute the superpartner masses in a class of models with gaugino mediation (or no-scale) boundary conditions at a scale between the GUT and Planck scales. These models are compelling because they are simple, solve the supersymmetric flavor and CP problems, satisfy all constraints from colliders and cosmology, and predict the superpartner masses in terms of very few parameters. Our analysis includes the renormalization group evolution of the soft-breaking terms above the GUT scale. We show that the running above the GUT scale is largely model independent and find that a phenomenologically v…
We propose Minimal Gaugino Mediation as the simplest known solution to the supersymmetric flavor and CP problems. The framework predicts a very minimal structure for the soft parameters at ultra-high energies: gaugino masses are unified and non-vanishing whereas all other soft supersymmetry breaking parameters vanish. We show that this boundary condition naturally arises from a small extra dimension and present a complete model which includes a new extra-dimensional solution to the mu problem. We briefly discuss the predicted superpartner spectrum as a function of the two parameters of the mod…
The recent measurement of a_μ=\frac{g_μ-2}{2} by the E821 Collaboration at Brookhaven deviates from the quoted Standard Model (SM) central value prediction by 2.6σ. The difference between SM theory and experiment may be easily accounted for in a variety of particle physics models employing weak scale supersymmetry (SUSY). Other supersymmetric models are distinctly disfavored. We evaluate a_μfor various supersymmetric models, including minimal supergravity (mSUGRA), Yukawa unified SO(10) SUSY GUTs, models with inverted mass hierarchies (IMH), models with non-universal gaugino masses, gauge medi…
We describe in detail our calculation of the full supersymmetric (SUSY) QCD corrections to neutralino annihilation into heavy quarks and extend our numerical analysis of the resulting dark matter relic density to scenarios without scalar or gaugino mass unification. In these scenarios, the final state is often composed of top quarks and the annihilation proceeds through Z^0-boson or scalar top-quark exchanges. The impact of the corrections is again shown to be sizable, so that they must be taken into account systematically in global analyses of the supersymmetry parameter space.
Supersymmetric Yang Mills theory is directly accessible to lattice simulations using current methodology, and can provide a non-trivial check of recent exact results in SQCD. In order to tune the lattice simulation to the supersymmetric point it is neccessary to understand the behavior of the theory with a small supersymmetry breaking gaugino mass. We introduce a soft breaking gaugino mass in a controlled fashion using a spurion analysis. We compute the gluino condensate, vacuum energy and bound-state masses as a function of the gaugino mass, providing more readily accessible predictions which…
We discuss constraints on supersymmetric models arising from the relic density measurements of WMAP as well as from direct and precision measurements, LEP, b-sgamma, g-2, Bs-mumu. We consider mSUGRA models and their extensions with non-universal gaugino masses. We find, as commonly known, that the relic density pinpoints towards very specific regions of the mSUGRA models: coannihilation, focus and Heavy Higgs annihilation. The allowed regions widen significantly when varying the top quark mass. Introducing some non-universality in the gaugino masses significantly changes this conclusion as in …
We study the single productions of supersymmetric particles at Tevatron Run II which occur in the $2 \to 2-body$ processes involving R-parity violating couplings of type $ł'_{ijk} L_i Q_j D_k^c$. We focus on the single gaugino productions which receive contributions from the resonant slepton productions. We first calculate the amplitudes of the single gaugino productions. Then we perform analyses of the single gaugino productions based on the three charged leptons and like sign dilepton signatures. These analyses allow to probe supersymmetric particles masses beyond the present experimental li…
I explore an economical variant on supersymmetric standard models which may be indicated on cosmological grounds and is shown to have no SUSY-CP problem. Demanding radiative electroweak symmetry breaking suggests that the Higgs is light; other scalar masses may be ~ 100-200 GeV or less. In this case the gluino and photino, while massless at tree level, have 1-loop masses m(gluino) ~ 100 - 600 MeV and m(photino) ~ 100 - 1000 MeV. New hadrons with mass ~ 1 - 3 GeV are predicted and their lifetimes estimated. Existing experimental limits are discussed.
