We collect information as complete as possible about the upcoming telescopes and facilities relevant to gamma-ray bursts, both in the electromagnetic bands as well as for non-electromagnetic messengers. We describe the expected synergy between these new facilities and the SVOM mission and predict possible progress in the field of gamma-ray bursts over the next years.

The flat-spectrum radio quasar PKS 2052-47 experienced an optical flare in July-August, 2009. On August 9, the LAT detector onboard Fermi observed a flare from the source, which reached its active phase in the following two months. To further investigate the physics and emission mechanisms during the flaring state of this source, we arranged a multiwavelength campaign from radio to gamma-ray to study its spectral energy distribution (SED) and its brightness variations across the spectrum. Here we present the first results of this multiwavelength campaign.
Simultaneous HESS/CHANDRA/optical observations were performed on the BL Lac object PKS 2155-304 in the night of July 29-30 2006, when the source underwent its second major gamma-ray outburst in Summer 2006. This event took place about 44 hours after the July 28 outburst, known for its ultrafast variability. An unprecedented 6 to 8 hours of uninterrupted coverage was achieved, with spectra and light curves measured down to 7 and 2-minute timescales, respectively. We performed simultaneous multiwavelength observations of OJ 287 with the Nobeyama Millimeter Array for radio, the KANATA telescope and the KVA telescope for optical, the Suzaku satellite for X-ray and the MAGIC telescope for very high energy (VHE) gamma-ray in 2007. The observations were conducted for a quiescent state in April and in a flaring state in November-December. We clearly observed increase of fluxes from radio to X-ray bands during the flaring state while MAGIC could not detect significant VHE gamma-ray emission from the source. NGC 6251 is a luminous radio galaxy ~104 Mpc away that was detected significantly with the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope, and before that with EGRET (onboard the Compton Gamma-ray Observatory). We report the first detection of very-high-energy (VHE) gamma-ray emission above 140 GeV from PKS 1424+240, a BL Lac object with an unknown redshift. The photon spectrum above 140 GeV measured by VERITAS is well described by a power law with a photon index of 3.8 +- 0.5_stat +- 0.3_syst and a flux normalization at 200 GeV of (5.1 +- 0.9_stat +- 0.5_syst) x 10^{-11} TeV^-1 cm^-2 s^-1, where stat and syst denote the statistical and systematical uncertainty, respectively. We report on radio-to-gamma-ray observations during 2011 May-September of PMN J0948+0022, the first narrow-line Seyfert 1 (NLSy1) galaxy detected in gamma-rays by Fermi-LAT. Strong variability was observed in gamma-rays, with two flaring periods peaking on 2011 June 20 and July 28. The variability observed in optical and near-infrared seems to have no counterpart in gamma-rays. The detection of gamma-ray emission by Fermi-LAT from the radio loud Narrow Line Seyfert 1 PMN J0948+0022 (Abdo et al. 2009, ApJ 699, 976) triggered a multi-wavelength campaign between March and July 2009. We offer the new type of calibration for gamma-ray bursts (GRB), in which some class of GRB can be marked and has common behavior. We name this behavior Smooth Optical Self Similar Emission (SOS Similar Emission) and identify this subclass of gamma-ray bursts with optical light curves described by a universal scaling function.
The well-studied VHE (E >100 GeV) blazar Mrk 501 was observed between March and May 2008 as part of an extensive multiwavelength observation campaign including radio, optical, X-ray and VHE gamma-ray instruments. We report on multiwavelength observations of the blazar PKS 0537-441 (z = 0.896) obtained from microwaves through gamma rays by SMA, REM, ATOM, Swift and Fermi during 2008 August-2010 April. Coalescing binary systems, consisting of two collapsed objects, are among the most promising sources of high frequency gravitational waves signals detectable, in principle, by ground-based interferometers. Binary systems of Neutron Star or Black Hole/Neutron Star mergers should also give rise to short Gamma Ray Bursts, a subclass of Gamma Ray Bursts. We show that each of the three Dainotti-correlated gamma-ray burst (GRB) data sets recently compiled by Wang et al. and Hu et al., that together probe the redshift range $0.35 \leq z \leq 5.91$, obey cosmological-model-independent Dainotti correlation relations and so are standardizable. We use these GRB data in conjunction with the best currently-available Amati-correlated GRB data, that probe $0.3399 \leq z \leq 8.2$, to constrain cosmological model parameters.
