Tan Relations in Dilute Bose Gasses

The exact relations for strongly interacting Fermi gasses, recently derived by Tan, are shown to first order in the loop expansion to also apply to dilute Bose gasses. A simple thermodynamic argument is put forward to support their validity. As an application, the second-order correction to the depletion of the condensate is determined to logarithmic accuracy.

The Josephson relation for the superfluid density and the connection to the Goldstone theorem in dilute Bose atomic gasses

We derive the Josephson relation for a dilute Bose gas in the framework of an auxiliary-field resummation of the theory in terms of the normal- and anomalous-density condensates. The mean-field phase diagram of this theory features two critical temperatures, T_c and $T^*, associated with the presence in the system of the Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) and superfluid state, respectively. Tan's contact in a cigar-shaped dilute Bose gas

We compute the Tan's contact of a weakly interacting Bose gas at zero temperature in a cigar-shaped configuration. Using an effective one-dimensional Gross-Pitaeskii equation and Bogoliubov theory, we derive an analytical formula that interpolates between the three-dimensional and the one-dimensional mean-field regimes. In the strictly one-dimensional limit, we compare our results with Lieb-Liniger theory. Our study can be a guide for actual experiments interested in the study of Tan's contact in the dimensional crossover.

Ground-state properties of a dilute two-dimensional Bose gas

We revisit the problem of the calculation of low-temperature properties for the dilute two-dimensional Bose gas. By using Popov's hydrodynamic approach and perturbation theory on the one-loop level we recover not only the known expansion for the ground-state energy but also calculate for the first time the condensate density and Tan's contact.

Ground-state properties of dilute one-dimensional Bose gas with three-body repulsion

We determined perturbatively the low-energy universal thermodynamics of dilute one-dimensional bosons with the three-body repulsive forces. The final results are presented for the limit of vanishing potential range in terms of three-particle scattering length. An analogue of Tan`s energy theorem for considered system is derived in generic case without assuming weakness of the interparticle interaction. We also obtained an exact identity relating the three-body contact to the energy density.

Universal aspects of a strongly interacting impurity in a dilute Bose condensate

We study the properties of an impurity immersed in a weakly interacting Bose gas, i.e., of a Bose polaron. In the perturbatively-tractable of limit weak impurity-boson interactions many of its properties are known to depend only on the scattering length. Here we demonstrate that for strong (unitary) impurity-boson interactions all static quasiproperties of a Bose polaron in a dilute Bose gas, such as its energy, its residue, its Tan's contact and the number of bosons trapped nearby the impurity, depend on the impurity-boson potential via a single parameter.

Tan's contact as an indicator of completeness and self-consistency of a theory

It is well known that, Tan's contact could be calculated by using any of following three methods: by the asymptotic behavior of momentum distribution; by Tan's adiabatic sweep theorem; or by the operator product expansion as an expectation value of the interaction term. A Composite Fermion Approach to the Ultracold Dilute Fermi Gas

It is argued that the recently observed Fermi liquids in strongly interacting ultracold Fermi gases are adiabatically connected to a projected Fermi gas. This conclusion is reached by constructing a set of Jastrow wavefunctions, following Tan's observations on the structure of the physical Hilbert space [Annals of Physics 323, 2952 (2008)]. Momentum-resolved spectroscopy of a Fermi liquid

We consider a recent momentum-resolved radio-frequency spectroscopy experiment, in which Fermi liquid properties of a strongly interacting atomic Fermi gas were studied. Here we show that by extending the Brueckner-Goldstone model, we can formulate a theory that goes beyond basic mean-field theories and that can be used for studying spectroscopies of dilute atomic gases in the strongly interacting regime.
