A refinement of the Parshin symbol for surfaces

On an algebraic curve there are Tate symbols, which satisfy Weil reciprocity law. The analogues in higher dimensions are the Parshin symbols, which satisfy Kato-Parshin reciprocity laws. We give a refinement of the Parshin symbol for surfaces, using iterated integrals in the sense of Chen. The product of the refined symbol over the cyclic permutations of the functions recovers the Parshin symbol. Also, we construct a logarithmic version of the Parshin symbol. We prove reciprocity laws for both the refined symbol and a logarithm of the Parshin symbol.

Reciprocity Laws on Algebraic Surfaces via Iterated Integrals

This paper presents a proof of reciprocity laws for the Parshin symbol and for two new local symbols, defined here, which we call 4-function local symbols. The reciprocity laws for the Parshin symbol are proven using a new method - via iterated integrals. A categorical proof of the Parshin reciprocity laws on algebraic surfaces

We define and study the 2-category of torsors over a Picard groupoid, a central extension of a group by a Picard groupoid, and commutator maps in this central extension. Using it in the context of two-dimensional local fields and two-dimensional adelic theory we obtain the two-dimensional tame symbol and a new proof of Parshin reciprocity laws on an algebraic surface.

A General Reciprocity Law for Symbols on Arbitrary Vector Spaces

The aim of this work is to offer a general theory of reciprocity laws for symbols on arbitrary vector spaces, and to show that classical explicit reciprocity laws are particular cases of this theory (sum of valuations on a complete curve, Residue Theorem, Weil Reciprocity Law and the Reciprocity Law for the Hilbert Norm Residue Symbol). Moreover, several reciprocity laws introduced over the past few years by D. V. Osipov, A. N. Parshin, I. Horozov, I. Horozov - M. Kerr and the author -together with D. Hernández Serrano-, can also be deduced from this general expression.

Residues and tame symbols on toroidal varieties

We introduce a new approach to the study of a system of algebraic equations in the algebraic torus whose Newton polytopes have sufficiently general relative positions. Our method is based on the theory of Parshin's residues and tame symbols on toroidal varieties. It provides a uniform algebraic explanation of the recent result of Khovanskii on the product of the roots of such systems and the Gel'fond--Khovanskii result on the sum of the values of a Laurent polynomial over the roots of such systems, and extends them to the case of an algebraically closed field of arbitrary characteristic.

Reciprocity laws and $K$-theory

We associate to a full flag $\mathcal{F}$ in an $n$-dimensional variety $X$ over a field $k$, a "symbol map" $μ_{\mathcal{F}}:K(F_X) \to Σ^n K(k)$. Here, $F_X$ is the field of rational functions on $X$, and $K(\cdot)$ is the $K$-theory spectrum. We prove a "reciprocity law" for these symbols: Given a partial flag, the sum of all symbols of full flags refining it is $0$. Arithmetic Central Extensions and Reciprocity Laws for Arithmetic Surface

Three types of reciprocity laws for arithmetic surfaces are established. For these around a point or along a vertical curve, we first construct $K_2$ type central extensions, then introduce reciprocity symbols, and finally prove the law as an application of Parshin-Beilinson's theory of adelic complex. Non-abelian reciprocity laws on a Riemann surface

On a Riemann surface there are relations among the periods of holomorphic differential forms, called Riemann's relations. If one looks carefully in Riemann's proof, one notices that he uses iterated integrals. A Generalized Contou-Carrère Symbol and its Reciprocity Laws in Higher Dimensions

We generalize the theory of Contou-Carrère symbols to higher dimensions.
