We investigate the exact behavior of the energy density of a real massless scalar field inside a cavity with a single moving mirror executing a resonant oscillatory law of motion, satisfying Dirichlet boundary conditions at finite temperature. The generation of photons in a three dimensional rectangular cavity with two moving boundaries is studied by using the Multiple Scale Analysis (MSA). It is shown that number of photons are enhanced for the cavity whose walls oscillate symmetrically with respect to the center of the cavity. The non-stationary Casimir effect is also discussed for the cavity which oscillates as a whole.
We study the creation of massless scalar particles from the quantum vacuum due to the dynamical Casimir effect by spherical shell with oscillating radius. In the case of a small amplitude of the oscillation, to solve the infinite set of coupled differential equations for the instantaneous basis expansion coefficients we use the method based on the time-dependent perturbation theory of the quantum mechanics. To the first order of the amplitude we derive the expressions for the number of the created particles for both parametric resonance and non-resonance cases.

The photons created by the parametric resonance are distributed in the wave number space around $Ω/2 $ along the axis of the oscillation. Specifically, we study the discrete spectrum of created particles in a region of frequencies above the oscillation frequency $ω_0$ of the mirror. We consider a massless scalar field in 1+1 dimensions inside a cavity composed by a fixed plate, which imposes on the field a Robin BC, and an oscillating one, which imposes on the field a Dirichlet BC. Assuming that the plate moves for a finite time interval, and considering parametric resonance, we compute the total number of created particles inside the cavity. We generalize our results to the case of two parallel plates in 3+1 dimensions.
