The preliminary results of new photometric observations of the $δ$ Scuti stars 7 Aql and 8 Aql are reported. 51 hr of $uvby-β$ photoelectric photometric data were obtained over the period June and July 2007 at the San Pedro Mártir Observatory, Mexico. Period analyses confirm the three pulsation modes discovered in 8 Aql in the framework of the STEPHI 2003 multisite campaign. For the star 7 Aql we were able to detect only the main pulsation modes. The standard magnitudes of both stars are obtained. The frequency, amplitude and phases of the frequency modes in different filters are presented.

Strömgren photometry and spectroscopy of the Delta Scuti stars 7 Aql and 8 Aql

Photometric $(ubvy-β$) and spectroscopic observations of the $δ$ Scuti variables \astrobj{7 Aql} and \astrobj{8 Aql} are described. The Strömgren standard indices and physical parameters of both stars are derived. Spectral types of F0V and F2III have been assigned to \astrobj{7 Aql} and \astrobj{8 Aql} respectively considering the results from both spectroscopy and photometry. Differential $uvby$ light curves were also analyzed. A attempt of multicolour mode identification is carried out.

Strömgren photometry and medium-resolution spectroscopy of some $δ$ Scuti and $γ$ Doradus in the Kepler field

We have obtained CCD photometry and medium-resolution spectroscopy of a number of $δ$ Scuti and $γ$ Doradus stars in the Kepler field-of-view as part of the ground-based observational efforts to support the \textit{Kepler} space mission. In this work we present the preliminary results of these observations.

Updated analysis for the system V1464 Aql

New BVRI light curves of the system V1464 Aql (ellipsoidal variable with a delta Scuti component) were obtained. Using these observations and taking into account previous studies of the system, its light curve model was reproduced and the pulsation frequencies of the delta Scuti component were recalculated. Moreover, the derived parameters were used to estimate the evolutionary status of both components.

The Nature of V1464 Aql: A New Ellipsoidal Variable with a Delta Scuti Component

Taking into account the results obtained from the models and analyses of the BVRI light curves, we discuss the nature of V1464 Aql. The analyses indicated that the mass ratio of the system is q=0.71(0.02), while the inclination of the system (i) is 38.45(0.22) deg. Taking the primary component's temperature as 7420(192) K, we found that the temperature of the secondary is 6232(161) K. The mass of the primary component was found to be 1.74(0.05) Msun, while it is 1.23(0.01) Msun for the secondary. Photometric, Spectroscopic and Orbital Period Study of Three Early Type Semi-detached Systems: XZ Aql, UX Her and AT Peg

In this paper we present a combined photometric, spectroscopic and orbital period study of three early-type eclipsing binary systems: XZ Aql, UX Her, and AT Peg. As a result, we have derived the absolute parameters of their components and, on that basis, we discuss their evolutionary states. HD 207331 a new $δ$ Scuti star in the Cygnus field: discovery and follow-up observations

Preliminary results on the discovery and follow-up observations of a new $δ$ Scuti pulsator in the Cygnus field are presented. Asteroseismology of the double-radial mode $δ$ Scuti star BP Pegasi

Using the ASAS data, we determine the pulsational frequencies of the high-amplitude $δ$ Sct star BP Pegasi. The analysis revealed only the two known, independent frequencies. On the basis of multicolour Strömgren photometry, we independently find that both frequencies can only be associated with radial modes which, according to the frequency ratio, are fundamental and first overtone modes. Survey for δ Sct components in eclipsing binaries and new correlations between pulsation frequency and fundamental stellar characteristics

CCD observations of 68 eclipsing binary systems, candidates for containing δ Scuti components, were obtained. Their light curves are analysed using the PERIOD04 software for possible pulsational behaviour. First frequency analysis for three new members of the group of eclipsing binaries with a pulsating component

We present the first light curves and pulsation analysis results for V729 Aql and two newly discovered eclipsing binaries, namely USNO-A2.0 0975-17281677 and USNO-A2.0 1200-03937339. Frequency search was applied on the residuals of their light curves and the results showed that their primary components pulsate in multiperiodic modes and lie well inside the frequency and temperature range of ? delta Scuti stars. Pulsating stars in NGC 6231 Frequency analysis and photometric mode identification near the main sequence

We used Johnson UBV photometric CCD observations to identify pulsating and other variable stars in the young open cluster NGC 6231. The multi-color information was used to classify pulsating variables, perform frequency analysis, and - where possible - to compare observed to theoretical amplitude ratios for mode identification.
