The geometric effects of the beam in near detectors at a neutrino factory are discussed. The refined systematics treatment, including cross section errors, flux errors and background uncertainties, is compared with the IDS-NF one. Different near detector setups are included. We also probe their effects both at the measurements of standard neutrino oscillation parameters and constraints of the non-standard neutrino interaction.
I summarize the current understanding of the neutrino oscillation physics with a neutrino factory and a beta beam, where I emphasize more recent phenomenological developments.
The prospects of measuring CP violation in the leptonic sector using the intense neutrino beams arising from muon decay in the straight sections of a muon accumulator ring (the so-called neutrino factory) are discussed.
The beams of Linear Collider after main collision can be utilized to build neutrino factory with exceptional parameters. We also discuss briefly possible applications of some elements of proposed scheme for standard fixed target experiments, new experiments with ν_μN interactions and in material sciences.
We discuss the possibility of constraining or discovering the non-standard neutrino physics beyond the standard model with future long baseline neutrino oscillation experiments. Among very many possible experimental set up we discuss neutrino factory and T2KK, in which two detector setting may be useful to achieve the goal. In particular, neutrino factory with two detectors at baselines of 3000 km and 7000 km have a great sensitivity to non-standard interaction (NSI) and solve the $θ_{13}$-NSI confusion problem.
It is shown in the three flavor framework that neutrino factories enable us to measure some of the oscillation parameters, such as the sign of $Δm_{32}^2$, $θ_{13}$, $δ$. Some efforts are made to determine the parameters (the muon energy and the neutrino path length) of a neutrino factory to optimize the signals.
We summarize what has been learned about the neutrino mass spectrum and neutrino mixing, identify interesting open questions that can be answered by accelerator neutrino facilities of the future, and discuss the importance and physics of answering them.
A possibility to search for T-violation in neutrino oscillation with the use of muon polarization is studied. The sensitivity to T-violation is examined with different muon polarization as a function of muon energy and long-baseline distances.
A method for a direct measurement of the exclusive D_s branching ratios and of the decay constant f_{D_s} with a systematical error better than 5% is presented. The approach is based on the peculiar vertex topology of the anti-neutrino induced diffractive charm events. The statistical accuracy achievable with a neutrino factory is estimated.
Within the framework of three-neutrino and four-neutrino scenarios that can describe the results of the LSND experiment, we consider the capabilities of short baseline neutrino oscillation experiments at a neutrino factory. We find that, when short baseline ($L \alt 100$ km) neutrino factory measurements are used together with other accelerator-based oscillation results, the complete three-neutrino parameter space can best be determined by measuring the rate of $ν_e \to ν_τ$ oscillations, and measuring CP violation with either $ν_e \to ν_μ$ or $ν_μ\to ν_τ$ oscillations (including the correspon…
We study the physical reach of a Neutrino Factory in the 2+2 and 3+1 Four Neutrino mixing scenarios, with similar results for the sensitivity to the mixing angles. Huge CP-violating effects can be observed in both schemes with a near, O(10) Km, detector of O(10) Kton size in the $ν_μ\to ν_τ$ channel. A smaller detector of 1 Kton size can still observe very large effects in this channel.
The prospects of measuring the leptonic angles and CP-odd phases at a {\em neutrino factory} are discussed in the scenario of three active plus one sterile neutrino, motivated by the $ν_μ\raw ν_e$ LSND signal. Sensitivity to the MNS mixing matrix angles at $O (10^{-3})$ is achieved with a 1 T detector at $\sim 1$ km from the source, whereas leptonic CP-violation can be measured through tau detection with a 1 kT detector at $\sim 100$ km.
We examine the prospects of detecting an analogous process of neutrinoless double beta decay at a neutrino factory from a high energy muon storage ring. Limits from LEP experiments, neutrinoless double beta decay as well as from global fits have to be incorporated and severely restrict the results. We investigate what limits on light and heavy effective Majorana neutrino masses can be obtained and compare them with existing ones. Discussed are also contributions from right-handed neutrinos and purely right-handed interactions. Other ``new physics'' contributions to the same final state might p…
We consider the impact of non-standard interactions of neutrinos (NSI) on the determination of neutrino mixing parameters at a neutrino factory using $\pnu{e}\to\pnuμ$ ``golden channels'' for the measurement of $θ_{13}$. We show how a small residual NSI leads to a drastic loss in sensitivity in $θ_{13}$, of up to two orders of magnitude. This can be somewhat overcome if two baselines are combined.
We discuss the optimization of a neutrino factory experiment for the purpose of sin^2(2theta_13), mass hierarchy, and CP violation discoveries. This includes a review of possible optimization strategies, as well as an application of these to different sin^2(2theta_13) regions.
We consider the prospects for a neutrino factory to measure mixing angles, the CP violating phase and mass-squared differences by detecting wrong-charged muons arising from the chain μ^+ to ν_e to ν_μ to μ^- and the right-charged muons coming from the chain μ^+ to \barν_μ to \barν_μ to μ^+ (similar to μ^- chains), where ν_e to ν_μ and \barν_μ to \barν_μ are neutrino oscillation channels through a long baseline. First, we perform the baseline and energy optimization of the neutrino factory including the latest simulation results from the magnetized iron neutrino detector (MIND). Second, we stud…
In this talk, the performance comparison among superbeams (SB), beta beams (BB), and the Neutrino Factory (NF) is discussed. The ingredients to such a comparison are described, as well as we the optimization and status of BB and NF are addressed. Finally, one example for the performance comparison is shown.
We consider the potential of a generic neutrino factory (NUFACT) in probing non-standard neutrino-matter interactions (NSI). We find that the sensitivity to flavour-changing (FC) NSI can be substantially improved with respect to present atmospheric neutrino data, especially at energies higher than approximately 50 GeV, where the effect of the tau mass is small. For example, a 100 GeV NUFACT can probe FC neutrino interactions at the level of few $|ε| < {few} \times 10^{-4}$ at 99 % C.L.
We upgrade the study of the physical reach of a Neutrino Factory considering the possibility to distinguish a three (active) neutrino oscillation scenario from the scenario in which a light sterile neutrino is also present. The distinction is easily performed in the so--called 2+2 scheme, but also in the more problematic 3+1 scheme it can be attained in some regions of the parameter space. We also discuss the CP violating phase determination, showing that the effects of a large phase in the three--neutrino theory cannot be reproduced in a four--neutrino, CP conserving, model.
Sensitivity of a neutrino factory to various mixing angles in a scheme with one sterile neutrino is studied using $ν_e\toν_μ$, $ν_μ\toν_μ$, $ν_e\toν_τ$ and $ν_μ\toν_τ$. While the "discovery-channel" $ν_μ\toν_τ$ is neither useful in the standard three flavor scheme nor very powerful in the sensitivity study of sterile neutrino mixings, this channel is important to check unitarity and to probe the new CP phase in the scheme beyond the standard neutrino mixing framework.
We discuss precision measurements of the leading atmospheric parameters at a standard neutrino factory. The oscillation of the muon and electron neutrinos (anti-neutrinos) to tau neutrinos (anti-neutrinos) adds to the muon events sample (both right sign and wrong sign) via leptonic decays of the taus produced through charge-current interactions in the detector. We focus on how this contribution affects a precision measurement of the atmospheric mixing parameters and the deviation of muon neutrino -- tau neutrino mixing from maximality.
We upgrade the study of the physical reach of a Neutrino Factory in the Four Family Neutrino Mixing scenario taking into account the latest LSND results that points out how the 3+1 scheme cannot be completely ruled out within the present experimental data (although the 2+2 scheme is still the preferred choice when four neutrinos are considered). A detailed comparison of the physical reach of the $ν$-factory in the two schemes is given, with similar results for the sensitivity to the mixing angles. Huge CP-violating effects can be observed in both schemes with a near, O(10) Km, detector of O(10…
The conclusions of the Physics Working Group of the international scoping study of a future Neutrino Factory and super-beam facility (the ISS) are presented. The ISS was carried by the international community between NuFact05, (the 7th International Workshop on Neutrino Factories and Superbeams, Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati, Rome, June 21-26, 2005) and NuFact06 (Ivine, California, 24{30 August 2006). The physics case for an extensive experimental programme to understand the properties of the neutrino is presented and the role of high-precision measurements of neutrino oscillations within t…
If the value of $θ_{13}$ is within the reach of the upcoming generation of long-baseline experiments, T2K and NO$ν$A, we show that a low-energy neutrino factory, with peak energy in the few GeV range, would provide a sensitive tool to explore CP-violation and the neutrino mass hierarchy. We consider baselines with typical length 1000--1500 km. The unique performance of the low energy neutrino factory is due to the rich neutrino oscillation pattern at energies between 1 and 4 GeV at baselines $\mathcal{O}(1000)$ km. We perform both a semi-analytical study of the sensitivities and a numerical an…
The accurate prediction of the neutrino beam produced in muon decays and the absence of opposite helicity contamination for a particular neutrino flavor make a future neutrino factory the ideal place to look for the lepton flavor violating (LFV) decays of the kind $μ^+\ra e^+\nuebar\numu$ and lepton number violating (LNV) processes like $μ^-\ra e^-\nue\numu$. Excellent sensitivities can be achieved using a detector capable of muon and/or electron identification with charge discrimination. This would allow to set experimental limits that improve current ones by more than two orders of magnitude…
I briefly review the source of the so-called intrinsic ambiguity and show how the combination of ``golden'' and ``silver'' channel at the Neutrino Factory can solve the problem, in the absence of other sources of degeneracies. I then relaxed the hypothesis $θ_{23} = 45^\circ$ and show how the different dependence of the two channels on $θ_{23}$ can help in solving the intrinsic and $θ_{23}$-octant ambiguity at the same time.
We emphasize that a muon based neutrino factory could show the existence of light right-handed neutrinos, if a deficit in the number of detected events is observed at a near detector. This could be as large as ~10% if the size of the new interactions saturates the present limits from electroweak precision data, what is not excluded by the oscillation experiments performed up to now. A simple model realizing such a scenario can be obtained adding right-handed neutrinos to the minimal Standard Model, together with an extra scalar doublet and a triplet of hypercharge 1. In this case, however, the…
We compare the physical reach of a Neutrino Factory in the 2+2 and 3+1 four-family models, with similar results in the two schemes; in both cases huge CP-violating effects can be observed with a near detector in the $ν_μ\to ν_τ$ channel. We also study the capability of long baseline experiments (optimized for the study of the three-family mixing parameter space) in distinguishing a three (active) neutrino model from a four-family scenario.
The prospects of measuring the leptonic angles and CP-odd phases at a {\em neutrino factory} are discussed in the scenario of three active plus one sterile neutrino. We consider the $ν_μ\raw ν_e$ LSND signal. Its associated large mass difference leads to observable neutrino oscillations at short ($\sim 1$ km) baseline experiments. Sensitivities to the leptonic angles down to $10^{-3}$ can be easily achieved with a 1 Ton detector. Longer baseline experiments ($\sim 100$ km) with a 1 Kton detector can provide very clean tests of CP-violation especially through tau lepton detection.
We study the discovery reach for Non-Standard Interactions (NSIs) in a neutrino factory experiment. After giving a theoretical, but model-independent, overview of the most relevant classes of NSIs, we present detailed numerical results for some of them. Our simulations take into account matter effects, uncertainties in the neutrino oscillation parameters, systematical errors, parameter correlations, and degeneracies. We perform scans of the parameter space, and show that a neutrino factory has excellent prospects of detecting NSIs originating from new physics at around 1 TeV, which is a scale …
The CP violation effects in long baseline neutrino oscillations are studied in the framework of a four-neutrino model (three active neutrinos and one sterile neutrino). It is assumed that neutrino masses are devided into two nearly degenerate pairs, as indicated by the oscillation data. Approximative analytic expressions are derived for the probability differences $ΔP_{\a\b} \equiv P(ν_α\to ν_β)- P(\barν_α\to \barν_β)$ taking into account the CP violation effect of the Earth's crust. The matter effect is found to be small compared with the genuine CP violation term, in contrast with the three-…
The proposed neutrino factory (NF) based on a muon storage ring (MSR) is an ideal place to look for heavy quark production via neutral current (NC) and charged current (CC) interactions. In this article, we address the issue of contribution coming from mediating leptoquarks (LQ) in $ν_μ(\barν_e)-{\rm N}$ interactions leading to the production of $b(\bar b)$ at a MSR and investigate the region where LQ interactions are significant in the near-site experiments.
We review the way intense neutrino beams at the front-end of a muon storage ring can be used to probe the structure of hadrons. Specifically, we discuss how the polarized and unpolarized flavor structure of the nucleon can be disentangled in inclusive deep-inelastic scattering, and how less inclusive measurements can shed light on various aspects of hadron structure such as fragmentation functions or generalized parton distributions.
In view of their physics goals, future neutrino factories from muon decay aim at an overall flux precision of ${\cal O}(1%)$ or better. We analytically study the QED radiative corrections to the neutrino differential distributions from muon decay. Kinematic uncertainties due to the divergence of the muon beam are considered as well. The resulting corrections to the neutrino flux turn out to be of order ${\cal O}(0.1%)$, safely below the required precision.
We investigate b-quark production in both charged and neutral current channels through neutrino-nucleon scattering at a neutrino factory, mediated by the lepton flavour violating interactions present in a supersymmetric theory with broken R-parity. Using values of the effctive interaction strengths well below the current and projected experimental bounds, we are still able to predict markedly enhanced event rates, especially for the neutral current events which are not allowed at the lowest order in the standard model (SM). Data from neutrino factories can therefore be used to probe strengths …
We consider the parameters of an entry-level neutrino factory designed to make the first observation of nu_e -> nu_mu oscillations, measure the corresponding amplitude sin^2 2theta_{13}, and determine the sign of the atmospheric-scale delta m_{32}^2 via matter effects. A 50 kt detector, a stored muon energy E_mu geq 20 GeV and 10^{19} muon decays would enable these goals to be met provided sin^2 2theta_{13} > 0.01. The determination of the sign of delta m_{32}^2 also requires a baseline L geq 2000 km. An upgraded neutrino factory with O(10^{20}) decays would enable the first observation of nu_…
We study the $ν_μ$ disappearance channel at T2K-phase I and the SPL and analyse the achievable reduction of present uncertainties in $θ_{23}$ and $Δm^2_{23}$. We analyse the impact of discrete ambiguities in sign($Δm^2{23}$) and sign($2 \tan θ_{23}$). We show how the disappearance channel at the Neutrino Factory is complementary to the ``golden'' and ``silver'' appearance channels and can be used to reduce the eightfold-ambiguity problem in ($θ_{13}-δ$).
An analysis of the neutrino oscillation physics capability of a low energy Neutrino Factory is presented, including a first simulation of the detector efficiency and event energy threshold. The sensitivity of the physics reach to the presence of backgrounds is also studied. We consider a representative baseline of 1480 km, we use muons with 4.12 GeV energy and we exploit a very conservative estimate of the energy resolution of the detector. Our analysis suggests an impressive physics reach for this setup, which can eliminate degenerate solutions, for both large and small values of the mixing a…
We review the physics potential for experiments with intense neutrino beams at the front-end of a muon storage ring, stressing the way the spin and flavour structure of neutrino interactions with matter can be used to shed light on the structure of the strong and electroweak interactions. Specifically, we discuss precision tests of the standard model, studies of polarized and unpolarized structure functions of the nucleon, and several new and exotic physics items.
We investigate the minimal performance, in terms of beam luminosity and detector size, of a neutrino factory to achieve a competitive physics reach for the determination of the mass hierarchy and the discovery of leptonic CP violation. We find that a low luminosity of $2\times 10^{20}$ useful muon decays per year and 5 GeV muon energy aimed at a 10 kton magnetized liquid argon detector placed at 1300 km from the source provides a good starting point. This result relies on $θ_{13}$ being large and assumes that the so-called platinum channel can be used effectively. We find that such a minimal f…
A low energy non-unitary leptonic mixing matrix is a generic feature of many extensions of the Standard Model. In such a case, the task of future precision neutrino oscillation experiments is more ambitious than measuring the three mixing angles and the leptonic (Dirac) CP-phase, i.e., the accessible parameters of a unitary leptonic mixing matrix. A non-unitary mixing matrix has 13 parameters that affect neutrino oscillations, out of which four are CP-violating. In the scheme of Minimal Unitarity Violation (MUV) we analyse the potential of a Neutrino Factory for determining or constraining the…
We point out that the matter profile effect --- the effect of matter density fluctuation on the baseline --- is very important to estimate the parameters in a neutrino factory with a very long baseline. To make it clear, we propose the method of the Fourier series expansion of the matter profile. By using this method, we can take account of both the matter profile effect and its ambiguity. For very long baseline experiment, such as L=7332km, in the analysis of the oscillation phenomena we need to introduce a new parameter $ a_{1} $--- the Fourier coefficient of the matter profile --- as a theo…
We have discussed the search of the genuine CP violation in a neutrino factory, in which well known neutrino beams are provided by a high intensity muon storage ring. Both $ΔP(\n_\a \Ar \n_\b)$ and CP odd asymmetry $A_{CP}$ in neutrino oscillations are investigated by taking account of the atmospheric neutrino data and the solar neutrino data. If the large mixing angle MSW solution is taken, the magnitude of $ΔP(\n_e \Ar \n_\m)$ could be 1%. If $s_{13}$ is lower than 0.05 with the maximal CP violating phase, the matter effect is negligible in $ΔP(\n_e \Ar \n_\m)$ and $A_{CP}$. We have proposed…
The leptonic CP-violating phase $δ$ can be measured with a Neutrino Factory with $2 \times 10^{20} $ useful muons per year, if the solar neutrino problem is solved by the LMA-MSW solution, with $Δm_{12}^2 \ge 2 \times 10^{-5}$ eV$^2$ (in this analysis a 40 kT magnetized iron detector is considered, taking into account its efficiencies and backgrounds). If LSND is confirmed, CP-violating phenomena in four-family scenarios can be most easily addressed with a small 1 kT detector at $L = \cal O$(10) km (no detailed analysis of the detector efficiencies and backgrounds has been performed in this ca…
A future high-luminosity $Z$-factory has the potential to investigate lepton flavour violation. Rare decays such as $Z \to \ell_1^\mp \ell_2^\pm$ can be complementary to low-energy (high-intensity) observables of lepton flavour violation. Here we consider two extensions of the Standard Model which add to its particle content one or more sterile neutrinos. We address the impact of the sterile fermions on lepton flavour violating $Z$ decays, focusing on potential searches at FCC-ee (TLEP), and taking into account experimental and observational constraints. We show that sterile neutrinos can give…
In this talk, based on the work \cite{cpviolation}, we refine our previous analysis \cite{golden} of the sensitivity to leptonic CP violation and $\tetaot$ at a neutrino factory in the LMA-MSW scenario, by exploring the full range of these two parameters. We have discovered that there exist, at fixed neutrino energy, $E_ν$, and baseline, $L$, degenerate solutions. Although the spectral analysis helps in disentangling fake from true solutions, a leftover product of this degeneracy remains for a realistic detector, which we analyse. Furthermore, we take into account the expected uncertainties on…
We study the effects of violation of the equivalence principle (VEP) or violation of Lorentz invariance (LIV) in the neutrino sector on the asymmetry between T-conjugate oscillation probabilities, $ΔP_T \equiv P(ν_α \to ν_β) - P(ν_β \to ν_α)$, in a three-flavour framework. We find that additional mixing due to these mechanisms, while obeying all present bounds, can lead to an observable enhancement, suppression, and/or sign change in $ΔP_T$ for the preferred energies and baselines of a neutrino factory. The measurement of this asymmetry can be used to establish a new upper limit of order $10^{…
We deepen the study of the so-called ``silver channel'' $ν_e \to ν_τ$ \cite{Donini:2002rm} and of its relevance to solve some of the ambiguities that can arise in the simultaneous measurement of $(θ_{13},δ)$ at the Neutrino Factory by presenting in full detail the characteristics of the considered OPERA-like detector and the experimental treatment of the different backgrounds and signals. Furthermore, we perform a detailed study of the systematic errors associated both with the OPERA-like and the magnetized-iron detectors and their effects on the sensitivity. Finally, we also apply a refined s…
We study the contribution of $ν_e \to ν_τ\to τ\to μ$ transitions to the wrong-sign muon sample of the {\em golden} channel of the Neutrino Factory. Muons from tau decays are not really a background, since they contain information from the oscillation signal, and represent a small fraction of the sample. However, if not properly handled they introduce serious systematic error, in particular if the detector/analysis are sensitive to muons of low energy. This systematic effect is particularly troublesome for large $θ_{13} \geq 1^\circ$ and prevents the use of the Neutrino Factory as a precision f…
A future high-luminosity $Z$-factory will offer the possibility to study rare $Z$ decays, as those leading to lepton flavour violating final states. Processes such as $Z \to \ell_1^\mp \ell_2^\pm$ are potentially complementary to low-energy (high-intensity) observables of lepton flavour violation. In this work we address the impact of new sterile fermions on lepton flavour violating $Z$ decays, focusing on potential searches at FCC-ee (TLEP), and taking into account experimental and observational constraints on the sterile states. We consider a minimal extension of the Standard Model by one st…
An indirect CP-violation neutrino factory experiment is studied, including simul taneous correlations of errors of the six oscillation parameters and a matter ef fect normalisation parameter, C. It is found that for larger values of $θ_{13}$ ($3^\circ$), an uncertainty on the matter effect of the order 5% means t hat the optimal baseline for measurement of $δ$ is reduced from 3000km to 2 000km. When the background fraction is assumed to be $10^{-3}$ the optimal muon energy is also reduced from 50GeV to around 20GeV. An experiment with L=2000km, $E_μ=$20GeV is found to be sensitive to non-zero …
In this paper we discuss the detection of CP and T-violation effects in the framework of a neutrino factory. We introduce three quantities, which are good discriminants for a non vanishing complex phase ($δ$) in the $3\times 3$ neutrino mixing matrix. We find that these three discriminants (in vacuum) all scale with $L/E_ν$. Matter effects modify the scaling, but these effects are large enough to spoil the sensitivity only for baselines larger than 5000 km. So, in the hypothesis of constant neutrino factory power, the sensitivity on the $δ$-phase is independent of the baseline chosen. Speciall…
A magnetized large-volume liquid scintillator might be used as a tracking detector with charge identification to measure high-energy neutrinos. I consider neutrino oscillations for a beam from a low-energy neutrino factory to such a detector for the baseline CERN-Pyhasalmi, with the length of 2288 km. The range to study the oscillation parameters extends to $\sin^2 2θ_{13}\sim 10^{-4}$ for reasonable assumptions for the detector and the beam.
The low energy neutrino factory has been proposed as a very sensitive setup for future searches for CP violation and matter effects. Here we study how its performance is affected when the experimental specifications of the setup are varied. Most notably, we have considered the addition of the 'platinum' nu_{mu} -> nu_{e} channel. We find that, whilst theoretically the extra channel provides very useful complementary information and helps to lift degeneracies, its practical usefulness is lost when considering realistic background levels. Conversely, an increase in statistics in the 'golden' nu_…
The experimental discovery of large nu_mu-nu_tau mixing indicates that analogous mixing in the charged lepton sector could be substantial. We consider the possibility that if a high intensity muon beam, perhaps at the early stages of a muon or neutrino factory, strikes a nuclear target, then conversion of some of the muons into tau leptons could occur (similar to the conversion of muons to electrons at MECO). Using current experimental limits on rare tau decays to bound the size of the relevant operators, we find that a 50 GeV muon beam, with 10^20 muons on target per year, could yield as many…
An extension of the New Standard Model, by introducing a mixing of the low mass ``active'' neutrinos with heavy ones, or by any model with lepton flavor violation, is considered. This leads to non-orthogonal neutrino production and detection states and to modifications of neutrino oscillations in both, vacuum and matter. The possibility of the discovery of such effects in current and future neutrino oscillation experiments is discussed. First order approximation formulas for the flavor transition probabilities in constant density matter, for all experimentally available channels, are given. Nu…
We study the potential of a Neutrino Factory in constraining the parameter space of a scheme with one sterile neutrino separated from three active ones by an O(1) eV^2, mass-squared difference. We present approximated analytic expressions for the oscillation probabilities, showing that the greatest sensitivity to sterile neutrinos at a Neutrino Factory can be achieved using the ν_μ->ν_μand the ν_μ->ν_τoscillations. We have studied two setups: a Neutrino Factory with 50 GeV (20 GeV) stored muons, with two detectors of the Hybrid-MIND type (a magnetized ECC next to a magnetized iron calorimeter)…
In order to fully address the oscillation processes at a neutrino factory, a detector should be capable of identifying and measuring all three charged lepton flavors produced in charged current interactions {\it and} of measuring their charges to discriminate the incoming neutrino helicity. This is an experimentally challenging task, given the required detector mass for long-baseline experiments. We address the benefit of a high-granularity, excellent-calorimetry non-magnetized target-detector, which provides a background-free identification of electron neutrino charged current and a kinematic…
