New exact travelling wave solutions for the K(2,2) equation with osmosis dispersion

In this paper, by using bifurcation method, we successfully find the K(2,2)equation with osmosis dispersion possess two new types of travelling wave solu tions called kink-like wave solutions and antikink-like wave solutions. They are defined on some semifinal bounded domains and possess properties of kink waves and anti-kink waves. Their implicit expressions are obtained. For some concrete data, the graphs of the implicit functions are displayed, and the numerical simulation of travelling wave system is made by Maple. The results show that our theoretical analysis agrees with the numerical simulation.

Travelling wave solutions to nonlinear Schrodinger equation with self-steepening and self-frequency shift

We investigate exact travelling wave solutions of higher order nonlinear Schrodinger equation in the absence of third order dispersion, which exhibit non-trivial self phase modulation. Infinitely Many Multipulse Solitons of Different Symmetry Types in the Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation with Quartic Dispersion

We show that the generalised nonlinear Schrödinger equation (GNLSE) with quartic dispersion supports infinitely many multipulse solitons for a wide parameter range of the dispersion terms. A KdV-like advection-dispersion equation with some remarkable properties

We discuss a new non-linear PDE, u_t + (2 u_xx/u) u_x = epsilon u_xxx, invariant under scaling of dependent variable and referred to here as SIdV. It is one of the simplest such translation and space-time reflection-symmetric first order advection-dispersion equations. Solitary and compact-like shear waves in the bulk of solids

We show that a model proposed by Rubin, Rosenau, and Gottlieb [J. Appl. Phys. 77 (1995) 4054], for dispersion caused by an inherent material characteristic length, belongs to the class of simple materials. Therefore, it is possible to generalize the idea of Rubin, Rosenau, and Gottlieb to include a wide range of material models, from nonlinear elasticity to turbulence. Using this insight, we are able to fine-tune nonlinear and dispersive effects in the theory of nonlinear elasticity in order to generate pulse solitary waves and also bulk travelling waves with compact support.
