Inductive algebras for the irreducible unitary representations of the universal cover of the group of unimodular two by two matrices are classified. The classification of homogeneous shift operators is obtained as a direct consequence. This gives a new approach to the results of Bagchi and Misra.

Inductive limit algebras from periodic weighted shifts on Fock space

Non-commutative multivariable versions of weighted shift operators arise naturally as `weighted' left creation operators acting on the Fock space Hilbert space. We identify a natural notion of periodicity for these $N$-tuples, and then find a family of inductive limit algebras determined by the periodic weighted shifts which can be regarded as non-commutative multivariable generalizations of the Bunce-Deddens C*-algebras. Homogeneous $2$-shifts

The classification of homogeneous scalar weighted shifts is known. Recently, Korányi obtained a large class of inequivalent irreducible homogeneous bi-lateral $2$-by-$2$ block shifts. In this paper, we construct two distinct classes of examples not in the list of Korányi. It is then shown that these new examples of irreducible homogeneous bi-lateral $2$-by-$2$ block shifts, together with the ones found earlier by Korányi, account for every unitarily inequivalent irreducible homogeneous bi-lateral $2$-by-$2$ block shift.

Essentially Reductive Weighted Shift Hilbert Modules

We discuss the relation between questions regarding the essential normality of finitely generated essentially spherical isometries and some results and conjectures of Arveson and Guo-Wang on the closure of homogeneous ideals in the m-shift space. We establish a general results for the case of two tuples and ideals with one dimensional zero variety. Further, we show how to reduce the analogous question for quasi-homogeneous ideals, to those results for homogeneous ones. Essential normality and the decomposability of homogeneous submodules

We establish the essential normality of a large new class of homogeneous submodules of the finite rank d-shift Hilbert module. The main idea is a notion of essential decomposability that determines when an arbitrary submodule can be decomposed into the sum of essentially normal submodules. We prove that every essentially decomposable submodule is essentially normal, and using ideas from convex geometry, we introduce methods for establishing that a submodule is essentially decomposable. A Representation Theorem for Singular Integral Operators on Spaces of Homogeneous Type

Let (X,d,μ) be a space of homogeneous type and E a UMD Banach space. Under the assumption mu({x})=0 for all x in X, we prove a representation theorem for singular integral operators on (X,d,mu) as a series of simple shifts and rearrangements plus two paraproducts. This gives a T(1) Theorem in this setting.

Pivot duality of universal interpolation and extrapolation spaces

It is a widely used method, for instance in perturbation theory, to associate with a given C0-semigroup its so-called interpolation and extrapolation spaces.
