We study the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with large gluino mass m_{\tilde{g}} >> 1 TeV. In particular, we discuss the LHC supersymmetry discovery signatures with n leptons + jets + E^{miss}_T, n >= 0 for the MSSM with large gluino mass. We show that for some relations among squark and neutralino masses leptonic signatures with n leptons + jets + E^{miss}_T, n >= 1 do not allow to discover supersymmetry at the LHC and the only supersymmetry discovery signature remains the signature with no leptons + jets + E^{miss}_T. Moreover, for LSP mass close to squark masses the LHC discovery potential for this signature is strongly reduced.
Scalar MSSM Higgs boson production via gluon fusion gg -> h,H is mediated by heavy quark and squark loops. The higher order QCD corrections to these processes turn out to be large. The full supersymmetric QCD corrections have been calculated recently. In the limit of large SUSY masses a conceptual problem appears, i.e. the proper treatment of the large gluino mass limit. In this work we will describe the consistent decoupling of heavy gluino effects and derive the effective Lagrangian for decoupled gluinos.
We investigate two-loop gluino corrections to the effective Lagrangian for $b\to s+γ(g)$ in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM) at large $\tanβ$, including the contributions in which quark flavor change is mediated by charginos. Using the translation invariant of loop momenta and the Ward-Takahashi identities (WTIs) that are required by the $SU(3)_c\times U(1)_{_{em}}$ gauge invariance, we simplify our expressions to concise forms. As an example, we discuss two-loop gluino corrections to the CP asymmetry of inclusive $B\to X_{_s}γ$ decay in CP violating MSSM.
We present results of our study of tan(beta)-enhanced loop corrections in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with Minimal Flavour Violation (MFV). We demonstrate that these corrections induce flavour changing neutral current (FCNC) gluino couplings which have a large impact on the Wilson coefficient C_8 of the chromomagnetic operator. To illustrate the phenomenological consequences of this gluino-squark contribution to C_8, we briefly discuss its effect on the mixing-induced CP asymmetry in the decay B_d -> phi K_S.
In this article we study the MSSM with stops and Higgs scalars much lighter than gluinos and squarks of the first two generations. In this setup, one should use an effective field theory with partial supersymmetry in which the gluino and heavy squarks are integrated out in order to connect SUSY parameters (given at a high scale) to observables in the stop sector. In the construction of this effective theory, valid below the gluino mass scale, we take into account $O(α_3)$ and $O(Y_{t,b}^2)$ effects and calculate the matching as well as the renormalization group evolution. As a result, the runn…
We analyze two-loop gluino corrections to the neutron electric dipole moment (EDM) in the minimal supersymmetry extension of the standard model (MSSM). The dependence of two-loop corrections on the relevant CP violating phases differs from that of the one-loop contributions, and there is a region in the parameter space where the two-loop contributions are comparable with the one-loop contributions. Our numerical results show that the two-loop corrections can be as large as 30% of the one-loop results.
State-of-the-art predictions for the mass of the lightest MSSM Higgs boson usually involve the resummation of higher-order logarithmic contributions obtained within an effective-field-theory (EFT) approach, often combined with a fixed-order calculation into a hybrid result. For the phenomenologically interesting case of a significant hierarchy between the gluino mass and the masses of the scalar top quarks the predictions suffer from large theoretical uncertainties related to non-decoupling power-enhanced gluino contributions in the EFT results employing the $\overline{\text{DR}}$ renormalisat…
We compute the one-loop radiative corrections to the masses of the top quark, the stop squarks and the gluino in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We include the loops controlled by the strong coupling constant and the top Yukawa coupling, neglecting those controlled by the $SU(2) \times U(1)$ gauge couplings and by other Yukawa couplings. We find that the significant scale-dependence of the renormalization-group-improved tree-level expressions is almost completely removed. Even for natural choices of the renormalization scale, corrections can be numerically relevant. Our results shou…
We examine the $R_{p}$-violating signal of single gluino production associated with a charged lepton or neutrino at the large hadron collider (LHC), in the model of R-parity relaxed supersymmetric model. If the parameters in the ${\rlap/R}_p$ supersymmetric interactions are not too small, and the mass of gluino is considered in the range from several GeV (as the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle) to 800 GeV, the cross section of the single gluino production via Drell-Yan processes can be in the order of $10^2 \sim 10^3$ femto barn, and that via gluon fusion in the order of $10^{-1} \sim 10^3$ f…
The E6SSM is a promising model based on the group E6, assumed to be broken at the GUT scale, leading to the group SU(3)\times SU(2)\times U(1)\times U(1)' at the TeV scale. It gives a solution to the MSSM μ-problem without introducing massless axions, gauge anomalies or cosmological domain walls. The model contains three families of complete 27s of E6, giving a richer phenomenology than the MSSM. The E6SSM generically predicts gluino cascade decay chains which are about 2 steps longer than the MSSM's due to the presence of several light neutralino states. This implies less missing (and more vi…
We evaluate all two-body decay modes of the gluino, in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex parameters (cMSSM). This constitutes an important step in the cascade decays of SUSY particles at the LHC. The evaluation is based on a full one-loop calculation of all two-body decay channels, also including hard QED and QCD radiation. The dependence of the gluino decay to a scalar quark and a quark on the relevant cMSSM parameters is analyzed numerically. We find sizable contributions to the decay widths and branching ratios. They are, roughly of O(5%), but can go up to +-10% or high…
We deduce the gluino contribution to the three-loop QCD quark mass anomalous dimension function within the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) from its standard QCD expression. This work is a continuation of the program of computation of MSSM renormalization group functions.
In the framework of minimal supersymmetric model we examine the Z-peak constraints on the scenario of one light sbottom (2--5.5 GeV) and light gluino (12--16 GeV), which has been successfully used to explain the excess of bottom quark production in hadron collision. Such a scenario is found to be severely constrained by LEP Z-peak observables, especially by R_b, due to the large effect of gluino-sbottom loops. To account for the R_b data in this scenario, the other mass eigenstate of sbottom, i.e., the heavier one, must be lighter than 125 (195) GeV at 2-sigma (3-sigma) level, which should hav…
We present a MSSM study of the b -> s gamma decay in a Minimal Flavor Violating (MFV) framework, where the form of the soft SUSY breaking terms is determined by the Standard Model Yukawa couplings. In particular, we address the role of gluino contributions, which are set to zero in most studies of the MFV MSSM. Gluino contributions can play an important role in the MFV MSSM whenever mu * tan(beta) is large. In fact, similarly to chargino contributions, gluino contributions are tan(beta) enhanced and can easily dominate charged Higgs contributions for large values of tan(beta). Even though each…
In the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), the process e+ e- -> gluino gluino is mediated by quark/squark loops, dominantly of the third generation, where the mixing of left- and right-handed states can become large. Taking into account realistic beam polarization effects, photon and Z0-boson exchange, and current mass exclusion limits, we scan the MSSM parameter space for various e+e- center-of-mass energies to determine the regions, where gluino production should be visible.
We point out that the extra neutralinos and charginos generically appearing in a large class of $E_6$ inspired models lead to distinctive signatures from gluino cascade decays in comparison to those from the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). These signatures involve longer decay chains, more visible transverse energy, higher multiplicities of jets and leptons, and less missing transverse energy than in the MSSM. These features make the gluino harder to discover for certain types of conventional analyses, for example in the 6 jet channel we show that a 1 TeV MSSM gluino may resemble…
We point out that the extra neutralinos and charginos, generically appearing in a large class of $E_6$ inspired models, lead to distinctive signatures from gluino cascade decays involving longer decay chains, more visible transverse energy, softer jets and leptons and less missing transverse energy than in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). On the one hand, this makes the gluino harder to discover for certain types of conventional analysis. On the other hand, the $E_6$ inspired models have enhanced 3- and 4-lepton signatures, as compared to the MSSM, making the gluino more visib…
We study the two-body decays of the gluino at full one-loop level in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with quark-flavour violation (QFV) in the squark sector. The renormalization is done in the $\overline{\rm DR}$ scheme. The gluon and photon radiations are included by adding the corresponding three-body decay widths. We discuss the dependence of the gluino decay widths on the QFV parameters. The main dependence stems from the $\tilde c_R - \tilde t_R$ mixing in the decays to up-type squarks, and from the $\tilde s_R - \tilde b_R$ mixing in the decays to down-type squarks due to the s…
In the MSSM scalar h,H production is mediated by heavy quark and squark loops. The higher order QCD corrections have been obtained some time ago and turned out to be large. The full SUSY QCD corrections have been obained recently including the full mass dependence of the loop particles. We describe our calculation and present first numerical results. We also address the question of the proper treatment of the large gluino mass limit, i.e. the consistent decoupling of heavy gluino effects, and present the effective Lagrangian for decoupled gluinos.
We deduce the gluino contribution to the three-loop QCD βfunction within the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) from its standard QCD expression. The result is a first step in the computation of the full MSSM three-loop βfunction. In addition, in the case of a light gluino it provides the strong three-loop SUSY correction to the extrapolation of the strong coupling constant from the low energy regime to the Z region and up to the squark threshold.
We study the two-body decays of the gluino at full one-loop level in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with quark-flavour violation (QFV) in the squark sector. The renormalization is done in the DRbar scheme and hard gluon and photon radiations are included by adding the corresponding three-body decay widths. In the numerics the dependence of the gluino decay widths on the QFV parameters is discussed with special emphasis put on the separation of the electroweak and the SUSY QCD corrections. The main dependence stems from the $\tilde c_R - \tilde t_R$ mixing in the decays to up-type sq…
In recent years it has been learned that scalar superpartner masses and trilinear couplings should both generically be larger than about 20 TeV at the short distance string scale if our world is described by a compactified string or M-theory with supersymmetry breaking and stabilized moduli. Here we study implications of this, somewhat generally and also in detail for a particular realization (compactification of M-theory on a G_2 manifold) where there is significant knowledge of the superpotential and gauge kinetic function, and a light gluino. In a certain sense this yields an ultraviolet co…
We study the discovery reach of the gluino ($\widetilde{g}$) and the lightest stop squark ($\widetilde{t}_1$) with baryonic R-parity violation (UDD type) in the context of Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) at the 14 TeV run of the LHC. We consider the gluino pair production process followed by its decay to a top quark and a real or virtual stop squark. The top quark produced from the decay of the gluino can have sufficient transverse momentum to appear as a single fat jet. We apply the jet substructure technique to tag such a hadronically decaying boosted top quark and find that glu…
Gluon mediated exclusive hadronic decays of b quarks are studied within the standard model (SM) and the constrained minimally supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). For all allowed regions of the MSSM parameter space (A, tan beta, m_0, m_{1/2}) the penguin magnetic dipole form factor F^R_2 is dominant over the electric dipole and can be larger than the magnetic dipole form factor of the SM. However, overall the SM electric dipole decay amplitude F^L_1 dominates the decay rate. The MSSM penguin contributions to the free quark decay rate approach the 10% level for those regions of parameter space…
If gluinos are light, they will be produced in electron-positron annihilation at LEP, not only by radiation in pairs off quarks and antiquarks, but also without accompanying quark and antiquark jets. We here discuss the latter process, pair production of gluinos, in a model with soft supersymmetry breaking, allowing for mixing between the squarks. In much of the parameter space of the Minimal Supersymmetric Model (MSSM) the cross section corresponds to a $Z$ branching ratio above $10^{-5}$, even up to $10^{-4}$. A non-observation of gluinos at this level restricts the allowed MSSM parameter sp…
We study the effect of squark-generation mixing on gluino decays in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We show that due to the effect the quark-flavor violating (QFV) gluino decay branching ratio B(gluino -> c bar{t} (t bar{c}) + neutralino_1) can be very large (up to ~50%) in a significant part of the MSSM parameter space despite the very strong experimental constraints on QFV from B meson observables. This could have an important impact on the search for gluinos and the determination of the MSSM parameters at LHC.
We discuss the pair production of gluinos in electron-positron annihilation at LEP, in a model with soft supersymmetry breaking, allowing for mixing between the squarks. In much of the parameter space of the Minimal Supersymmetric Model (MSSM) the cross section corresponds to a $Z$ branching ratio above $10^{-5}$, even up to $10^{-4}$. A non-observation of gluinos at this level restricts the allowed MSSM parameter space. In particular, it leads to lower bounds on the soft mass parameters in the squark sector.
Some variants of the MSSM feature a strip in parameter space where the lightest neutralino is identified as the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP), the gluino is the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NLSP) and is nearly degenerate with the LSP, and the relic cold dark matter density is brought into the range allowed by astrophysics and cosmology by coannihilation with the gluino NLSP. We calculate the relic density along this gluino coannihilation strip in the MSSM, including the effects of gluino-gluino bound states and initial-state Sommerfeld enhancement, and taking into account…
We study supersymmetric scenarios in which the gluino is the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NLSP), with a mass sufficiently close to that of the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) that gluino coannihilation becomes important. One of these scenarios is the MSSM with soft supersymmetry-breaking squark and slepton masses that are universal at an input GUT renormalization scale, but with non-universal gaugino masses. The other scenario is an extension of the MSSM to include vector-like supermultiplets. In both scenarios, we identify the regions of parameter space where gluino coanni…
We present a calculation of the two-loop quark-squark-gluino contributions to pseudoscalar Higgs boson production via gluon fusion in the MSSM. We regularize the loop integrals using the Pauli-Villars method, and obtain explicit and compact analytic results based on an expansion in the heavy particle masses. Our results - valid when the pseudoscalar Higgs boson is lighter than squarks and gluinos - can be easily implemented in computer codes for an efficient and accurate determination of the pseudoscalar production cross section.
Processes of the form $pp\to anything \to X_i X_j \to x\bar{x} + y\bar{y} (+ \slashchar{E})$ are studied via a technique that may be viewed as an adaptation of time-honoured Dalitz plot analyses. $X_i$ and $X_j$ are new heavy states (with $i,j=1...n$), which may be identical or distinct; and $x\bar{x}$ and $y\bar{y}$ are necessarily distinct Standard Model (SM) fermion pairs whose invariant masses can be measured. A Dalitz-like plot of said invariant masses, $M(x\bar{x})$ {\it vs.$$} $M(y\bar{y})$, exhibits a topology connected to the masses and specific decay chains of $X_i$ and $X_j$. Aside …
We present a calculation of the two-loop top-stop-gluino contributions to Higgs production via gluon fusion in the MSSM. By means of an asymptotic expansion in the heavy particle masses, we obtain explicit and compact analytic formulae that are valid when the Higgs and the top quark are lighter than stops and gluino, without assuming a specific hierarchy between the Higgs mass and the top mass. Being applicable to the heaviest Higgs scalar in a significant region of the MSSM parameter space, our results complement earlier ones obtained with a Taylor expansion in the Higgs mass, and can be easi…
We study the compatibility of a light bottom squark M_{\tilde b}< O(10 GeV) in the unconstrained MSSM. We consider the one-loop radiative corrections which are large for a heavy gluino (> O(150 GeV)). We then consider the renormalization group flow up to the Grand Unified scale. For most regions of the parameter space with a light sbottom we find colour and charge breaking minima. Only a small window in gluino mass and tan(beta) is consistent with all bounds. This is alleviated by a light gluino, which is however only marginally experimentally allowed.
We examine the experimental signature of a UV complete Supersymmetry (SUSY) theory, the $G_2$-MSSM. This model predicts that only some superpartners will be produced in possibly detectable amounts at LHC: $p p \rightarrow \tilde{g}\tilde{g}$, $p p \rightarrow \tildeχ^{\pm}_1 \tildeχ^{\mp}_1$, and $p p \rightarrow \tildeχ^{0}_2 \tildeχ^{\pm}_1$. We exclude spectra with $m_{\tilde{g}} \approx1.5$ TeV. While spectra with $m_{\tilde{g}} \approx1.7$ TeV and $m_{\tilde{g}} \approx1.9$ TeV are currently allowed (contrary to what is often claimed), data in hand could exclude these spectra. This is not…
In the general MSSM, first and second generation squarks and gluinos may be sufficiently light to be produced and studied at $e^+e^-$ colliders operating in the 0.5-1 TeV energy range. After a reminder that the MSSM is {\it not} the same as mSUGRA, we provide a brief overview of these possibilities within this more general framework
We study gluino decays in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with squark generation mixing. We show that the effect of this mixing on the gluino decay branching ratios can be very large in a significant part of the MSSM parameter space despite the very strong experimental constraints on quark flavour violation (QFV) from B meson observables. Especially we find that under favourable conditions the branching ratio of the the QFV gluino decay gluino -> c bar{t} (bar{c} t) + neutralino_1 can be as large as about 50%. We also find that the squark generation mixing can result in a mult…
The gluino contributions to the $C'_{7,8}$ Wilson coefficients for b->sγare calculated within the unconstrained MSSM. New stringent bounds on the \dRLbs and \dRRbs mass insertion parameters are obtained in the limit in which the SM and SUSY contributions to $C_{7,8}$ approximately cancel. Such a cancellation can plausibly appear within several classes of SUSY breaking models. Assuming this cancellation takes place, we perform an analysis of the b->sγdecay. We show that, in the unconstrained MSSM such an alternative is reasonable and it is possible to saturate the b->sγbranching ratio and produ…
We calculated the electroweak contributions to the hadronic production of a squark in association with a gluino within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). Presented are complete next-to-leading order electroweak (NLO EW) corrections at O(alpha_s^2 alpha), which include real photon and real quark radiation processes. Also considered are photon induced tree level O(alpha_s alpha) contributions.
The decay $b\to sν\barν$ is discussed in the minimal supersymmetric standard model with general flavor mixing for squarks, at large $\tanβ$. In this case, in addition to the chargino loop contributions which were analyzed in previously studies, $\tanβ$-enhanced contributions from the gluino and charged Higgs boson loops might become sizable compared with the standard model contribution, at least in principle. However, it is demonstrated that the experimental bounds on the new physics contributions to the radiative decay $b\to sγ$ should strongly constrain these contributions to $b\to sν\barν$,…
Dirac gauginos are a well-motivated extension of the MSSM, leading to interesting phenomenological consequences. At the LHC, gluino-pair production is enhanced while squark production is suppressed as compared to the MSSM, and the decay signatures are altered by a more complex chargino and neutralino spectrum. We investigate how this impacts current gluino and squark mass limits from Run~2 of the LHC. Concretely, we compare different assumptions about the electroweak-ino spectrum through four benchmark models paying particular attention to the effect of the trilinear $λ_S$ coupling, which indu…
In this article we review the mechanisms in several supersymmetric models for producing gluinos at the LHC and its potential for discovering them. We focus on the MSSM and its left-right extensions. We study in detail the strong sector of both models. Moreover, we obtain the total cross section and differential distributions. We also make an analysis of their uncertainties, such as the gluino and squark masses, which are related to the soft SUSY breaking parameters.
While gluinos and neutralinos are Majorana fermions in the MSSM, they can be Dirac fermion fields in extended supersymmetry models. The difference between the two cases manifests itself in production and decay processes at colliders. In this contribution, results are presented for how the Majorana or Dirac nature of gluinos and neutralinos can be extracted from di-lepton signals at the LHC.
We study the potential of high-energy linear $e^+e^-$ colliders for the production of gluino pairs within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). In this model, the process $e^+e^-\to\tilde{g}\tilde{g}$ is mediated by quark/squark loops, dominantly of the third generation, where the mixing of left- and right-handed states can become large. Taking into account realistic beam polarization effects, photon and $Z^0$-boson exchange, and current mass exclusion limits, we scan the MSSM parameter space for various $e^+e^-$ center-of-mass energies to determine the regions, where gluino produc…
$\tilde{q}_L \tilde{q}_L$ production is one of the main SUSY production processes in the MSSM, which occurs due to the chirality flip caused by the Majorana gluino mass. This process is one of the sources of same sign two lepton (SS2$l$) events, however, gluino production also contributes to this channel. In this paper, we develop a method to identify gluino and squark production separately in the SS2$l$ channel, based on cuts on the kinematical configuration of the jets. We applied the method to the MSSM, a model with an extended gluino sector, and the Littlest Higgs model with T-parity (LHT)…
We present explicit analytic results for the two-loop top/stop/gluino contributions to the cross section for the production of CP-even Higgs bosons via gluon fusion in the MSSM, under the approximation of neglecting the Higgs boson mass with respect to the masses of the particles circulating in the loops. The results are obtained employing the low-energy theorem for Higgs interactions adapted to the case of particle mixing. We discuss the validity of the approximation used by computing the first-order correction in an expansion in powers of the Higgs boson mass. We find that, for the lightest …
We discuss the issue of precision gauge unification in the MSSM. We find that a comparably light gluino, as it emerges in certain patterns of soft supersymmetry breaking, can be a key ingredient for ensuring precision gauge unification without relying on the presence of extra particles around the scale of grand unification. In particular, the so-called mirage pattern for gaugino masses can naturally lead to precision gauge unification. There is also an interesting correlation with reduced fine-tuning, due to rather light gluinos.
Most SUSY searches at the LHC are optimised for the MSSM, where gauginos are Majorana particles. By introducing Dirac gauginos, we obtain an enriched phenomenology, from which considerable differences in the LHC signatures and limits are expected as compared to the MSSM. Concretely, in the minimal Dirac gaugino model (MDGSSM) we have six neutralino and three chargino states. Moreover, production cross sections are enhanced for gluinos, while for squarks they are suppressed. In this contribution, we explore the consequences of the current LHC limits on gluinos and squarks in this model.
We calculate the complete next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the three-body decay of gluino into top-pair associated with a lightest neutralino in the minimal supersymmetric standard model. We obtain that the LO and NLO QCD corrected decay widths of $\tilde{g} \to t \bar{t} \tildeχ_1^0$ at the ${\rm SPS 6}$ benchmark point are $0.1490 GeV$ and 0.1069 GeV respectively, and the relative correction is -28.2%. We investigate the dependence of the QCD correction to $\tilde{g} \to t \bar{t} \tildeχ_1^0$ on $\tanβ$ and the masses of gluino, scalar top quarks and the lightest neutralino around t…
We study the potential of high-energy photon colliders for the production of gluino pairs within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). In this model, the process gamma gamma -> gluino gluino is mediated by quark/squark box diagrams with enhancements for up-type quarks/squarks from their larger charges and for third generation squarks from their large mass splittings, generated by the mixing of left- and right-handed states. Far above threshold and in scenarios with very heavy squarks, resolved photons can contribute significantly at tree level. Taking into account the laser photon …
R-symmetry leads to a distinct low energy realisation of SUSY with a significantly modified colour-charged sector featuring a Dirac gluino and scalar colour octets (sgluons). In the present work we recast results from LHC BSM searches to discuss the impact of R-symmetry on the squark and gluino mass limits. We work in the framework of the Minimal R-symmetric Supersymmetric Standard Model and take into account the NLO corrections to the squark production cross sections in the MRSSM that have become available recently. We find substantially weaker limits on squark masses compared to the MSSM: fo…
A systematic analysis of the like-sign dipleton signature for gluino production at LHC is performed in the $R$-conserving minimal supersymmetric standard model, taking into account the top quark and Higgs boson effects in the cascade decay. We consider two representative values of the gluino mass, 300 and 800 GeV, along with those of the other SUSY parameters. While the top quark contribution is kinematically suppressed for the former case it is very import for the latter. Ways of separating the signal from the background are discussed. One expects a viable LSD signals upto a gluino mass of $\…
In order to significantly reduce the fine-tuning associated with the electroweak symmetry breaking in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM), we consider not only the minimal gravity mediation effects but also the minimal gauge mediation ones for a common supersymmetry breaking source at a hidden sector. In this "Minimal Mixed Mediation model," the minimal forms for the Kahler potential and the gauge kinetic function are employed at tree level. The MSSM gaugino masses are radiatively generated through the gauge mediation. Since a "focus point" of the soft Higgs mass parameter, m_{h_u…
Pure leptonic and semileptonic rare B decays, $B_s \to μ^+ μ^-$ and $B \to X_s μ^+ μ^-$ in the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), in particular, gluino and neutralino contributions to the decays, are discussed under Br($B \to X_s γ$) and other experimental constraints . The general scalar quark mass matrices as the new sources of flavor violation are considered. We present Wilson coefficients of $bs$ transitions from $γ$, $Z$, and neutral Higgs boson penguin diagrams by using vertex mixing method to deal with scalar down-type quark flavor changing and also give their expressions in …
In some extensions of the standard model with extended Higgs sectors, events from new particle production may pass the selection criteria for Higgs search in different channels at the LHC - 14 TeV and mimic Higgs signals. This intriguing possibility is illustrated by PYTHIA based simulations using several representative points in the parameter space of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) including a point in the minimal supergravity model consistent with the Dark matter (DM) relic density data. Our simulations explore the interplay between the charged Higgs signal and typical squa…
We suggest a simple algebraic approach to fix the elements of the $\{ β\}$-expansion for renormalization group invariant quantities, which uses additional degrees of freedom. The approach is discussed in detail for N$^2$LO calculations in QCD with the MSSM gluino -- an additional degree of freedom. We derive the formulae of the $\{ β\}$-expansion for the nonsinglet Adler $D$-function and Bjorken polarized sum rules in the actual N$^3$LO within this quantum field theory scheme with the MSSM gluino and the scheme with the second additional degree of freedom. We discuss the properties of the $\{ …
In general, we can propose the hybrid supersymmetry breakings and hybrid mediations in the Supersymmetric Standard Models (SSMs). In this paper, we study the hybrid mediation for supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking. In particular, we study how to keep the good properties of gravity mediation, gauge mediation, and anomaly mediation, while solve their problems simultaneously. As an example, we consider the anomaly-gravity mediation, where all the supersymmetric particles (sparticles) obtain the SUSY breaking soft terms from the traditional gravity mediation while gauge mediation gives dominant contrib…
The 1-loop corrected decay widths of sparticles (charginos, neutralinos, gluino and sfermions) in the framework of the MSSM are calculated systematically using GRACE/SUSY-loop, which is the program package for the automatic calculation of the MSSM amplitudes in the 1-loop order. We present the renormalization scheme used in our system and show some numerical results of decay widths of sfermions and gluino using the SPS1a' parameter set and other SUSY parameter sets.
We present here the results for Higgs and Supersymmetry prospective searches at the Large Hadron Collider. We show that for one year at high luminosity, Standard Model and MSSM Higgs should be observed within the theoretically expected mass range. MSUGRA and restricted phenomenological MSSM searches lead to discovery of up to 2.5 TeV squarks and gluinos.
The possibility of generating a large trilinear $A_t$ soft supersymmetry breaking coupling at low energies through renormalisation group evolution in the 5D MSSM is investigated. Using the power law running in five dimensions and a compactification scale in the 10-$10^3$ TeV range, to show that gluino mass may drive a large enough $A_t$ to reproduce the measured Higgs mass and have a light stop superpartner below $\sim 1$ TeV as preferred by the fine tuning argument for the Higgs mass.
We study the effects of squark generation mixing on squark and gluino production and decays at LHC in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with focus on the mixing between second and third generation squarks. Taking into account the constraints from B-physics experiments we show that various regions in parameter space exist where decays of squarks and/or gluinos into quark flavour violating (QFV) final states can have large branching ratios. Here we consider both fermionic and bosonic decays of squarks. Rates of the corresponding QFV signals, e.g. pp -> t t bar{c} bar{c} missing-E_…
If all strongly interacting sparticles (the squarks and the gluinos) in an unconstrained minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) are heavier than the corresponding mass lower limits in the minimal supergravity (mSUGRA) model, obtained by the current LHC experiments, then the existing data allow a variety of electroweak (EW) sectors with light sparticles yielding dark matter (DM) relic density allowed by the WMAP data. Some of the sparticles may lie just above the existing lower bounds from LEP and lead to many novel DM producing mechanisms not common in mSUGRA. This is illustrated by revi…
