The kinetic equation of non - Markovian type for description of the vacuum creation of parton - antiparton pairs under action of a space homogeneous time - dependent chromo - electric field of the arbitrary polarization is obtained on the strict non - pertubative foundation in the framework of the oscillator representation. A comparison of the effectiveness of vacuum creation with the case of linear polarization one is fulfilled.
Quantum chromodynamics is a fundamental non-abelian gauge theory of strong interactions. The physical quantum chromodynamics vacuum state, $|θ\rangle$, is a linear superposition of the $n$-vacua states with different topological numbers. Because of the configuration of the gauge fields, the tunneling events can induce the local parity-odd domains. Those interactions that occur in these domains can be affected by these effects. Considering the hadron (nucleon) system, we introduce the parity-odd parton distribution functions in order to describe the parity-odd structures inside the hadron in th…
In the high energy regime, the proton structure consists of a very large number of particles called partons (quarks and gluons) that interact with each other, according to the theory of strong interactions, Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). Through QCD, the number of partons in the proton is described by equations of parton evolution that depend on kinematic variables. These equations can be linear, the DGLAP equations, and nonlinear, the GLR-MQ equation. We have studied some analytic solutions of the equations of parton evolution. In order to generate the preliminary results, we used an ansatz fo…
In the large-momentum effective field theory approach to parton physics, the matrix elements of non-local operators of quark and gluon fields, linked by straight Wilson lines in a spatial direction, are calculated in lattice quantum chromodynamics as a function of hadron momentum. Using the heavy-quark effective theory formalism, we show a multiplicative renormalization of these operators at all orders in perturbation theory, both in dimensional and lattice regularizations. The result provides a theoretical basis for extracting parton properties through properly renormalized observables in Mon…
We examine the relation of moments of parton distribution functions to matrix elements of non-local operators computed in lattice quantum chromodynamics. We argue that after the continuum limit is taken, these non-local matrix elements give access to moments that are finite and can be matched to those defined in the $\overline{MS}$ scheme. We demonstrate this fact with a numerical computation of moments through non-local matrix elements in the quenched approximation and we find that these moments are in excellent agreement with the moments obtained from direct computations of local twist-2 mat…
The chromo-electromagnetic field is produced due to the motion of partons in a quark-gluon plasma created by relativistic heavy-ion collisions. The fluctuations in the produced chromo-electromagnetic field are important, since they cause heavy quarks to gain energy in the low velocity limit. We study the effect of such fluctuations on heavy quark diffusion in quark-gluon plasma within the framework of Langevin dynamics under the background matter described by the ($3+1$)-dimensional relativistic viscous hydrodynamics. Theoretical calculations of the nuclear modification factor ($R_{AA}$) of he…
Quark-gluon plasma produced at the early stage of ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions is unstable, if weakly coupled, due to the anisotropy of its momentum distribution. Chromomagnetic fields are spontaneously generated and can reach magnitudes much exceeding typical values of the fields in equilibrated plasma. We consider a high energy test parton traversing an unstable plasma that is populated with strong fields. We study the momentum broadening parameter $\hat q$ which determines the radiative energy loss of the test parton. We develop a formalism which gives $\hat q$ as the solution of …
In heavy ion collisions, transverse momentum broadening quantifies the modification of a hard probe due to interactions with the quark-gluon plasma (QGP). We calculate momentum broadening in the Glasma, which is the highly non-isotropic precursor stage of the QGP right after the collision. We show that the Glasma leads to anisotropic momentum broadening: high energy partons accumulate more momentum along the beam axis than transverse to it. The physical origin of anisotropic broadening can be traced back to differences in the shapes of chromo-electric and chromo-magnetic flux tubes in the Glas…
