This is a paper in a series to study vertex algebra-like structures arising from various algebras including quantum affine algebras and Yangians. In this paper, we study notions of $\hbar$-adic nonlocal vertex algebra and $\hbar$-adic (weak) quantum vertex algebra, slightly generalizing Etingof-Kazhdan's notion of quantum vertex operator algebra. For any topologically free $\C[[\h]]$-module $W$, we study $\hbar$-adically compatible subsets and $\hbar$-adically $§$-local subsets of $(\End W)[[x,x^{-1}]]$. We prove that any $\hbar$-adically compatible subset generates an $\hbar$-adic nonlocal vertex algebra with $W$ as a module and that any $\hbar$-adically $§$-local subset generates an $\hbar$-adic weak quantum vertex algebra with $W$ as a module. A general construction theorem of $\hbar$-adic nonlocal vertex algebras and $\hbar$-adic quantum vertex algebras is obtained. As an application we associate the centrally extended double Yangian of $\sl_{2}$ to $\hbar$-adic quantum vertex algebras.
We introduce the $h$-adic quantum vertex algebras associated with the trigonometric $R$-matrices in types $B$, $C$ and $D$, thus generalizing the well-known Etingof-Kazhdan construction in type $A$. We show that restricted modules for quantum affine algebras in types $B$, $C$ and $D$ are naturally equipped with the structure of $ϕ$-coordinated module for the aforementioned $h$-adic quantum vertex algebras.
We postulate axioms for a chiral half of a nonarchimedean 2-dimensional bosonic conformal field theory, that is, a vertex operator algebra in which a p-adic Banach space replaces the traditional Hilbert space. We study some consequences of our axioms leading to the construction of various examples, including p-adic commutative Banach rings and p-adic versions of the Virasoro, Heisenberg, and the Moonshine module vertex operator algebras. Serre p-adic modular forms occur naturally in some of these examples as limits of classical 1-point functions.
We introduce the $h$-adic quantum vertex algebras associated with the rational $R$-matrix in types $B$, $C$ and $D$, thus generalizing the Etingof--Kazhdan's construction in type $A$. Next, we construct the algebraically independent generators of the center of the $h$-adic quantum vertex algebra in type $B$ at the critical level, as well as the families of central elements in types $C$ and $D$. Finally, as an application, we obtain commutative subalgebras of the dual Yangian and the families of central elements of the appropriately completed double Yangian at the critical level, in types $B$, …
The Yangian double $\text{DY}_{\hbar}(\mathfrak{g}_N)$ is introduced for the classical types of $\mathfrak{g}_N=\mathfrak{o}_{2n+1}$, $\mathfrak{sp}_{2n}$, $\mathfrak{o}_{2n}$. Via the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix, the Yangian double is given the Drinfeld presentation. In addition, bosonization of level $1$ realizations for the Yangian double $\text{DY}_{\hbar}(\mathfrak{g}_N)$ of non-simply-laced types are explicitly constructed.
Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebra with associated Yangian $Y_\hbar\mathfrak{g}$ and Yangian double $\mathrm{D}Y_\hbar\mathfrak{g}$. An elementary result of fundamental importance to the theory of Yangians is that, for each $c\in \mathbb{C}$, there is an automorphism $τ_c$ of $Y_\hbar\mathfrak{g}$ corresponding to the translation $t\mapsto t+c$ of the complex plane. Replacing $c$ by a formal parameter $z$ yields the so-called formal shift homomorphism $τ_z$ from $Y_\hbar\mathfrak{g}$ to the polynomial algebra $Y_\hbar\mathfrak{g}[z]$. We prove that $τ_z$ uniquely extends t…

We construct a family of vertex algebras associated with a family of symplectic singularity/resolution, called hypertoric varieties. While the hypertoric varieties are constructed by a certain Hamiltonian reduction associated with a torus action, our vertex algebras are constructed by (semi-infinite) BRST reduction. The construction works algebro-geometrically and we construct sheaves of $\hbar$-adic vertex algebras over hypertoric varieties which localize the vertex algebras. We show when the vertex algebras are vertex operator algebras by giving explicit conformal vectors. We also show that …
Two Homomorphisms from the affine Yangian associated with $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}(n)$ to the affine Yangian associated with $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}(n+1)$
For a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, we use the vertex tensor category theory of Huang and Lepowsky to identify the category of standard modules for the affine Lie algebra $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$ at a fixed level $\ell\in\mathbb{N}$ with a certain tensor category of finite-dimensional $\mathfrak{g}$-modules. More precisely, the category of level $\ell$ standard $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$-modules is the module category for the simple vertex operator algebra $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{g}}}(\ell,0)$, and as is well known, this category is equivalent as an abelian category to $\mathbf{D}(\ma…
