Interpretations of Quantum Mechanics: a critical survey

This brief survey analyzes the epistemological implications about the role of observer in the interpretations of Quantum Mechanics. As we know, the goal of most interpretations of quantum mechanics is to avoid the apparent intrusion of the observer into the measurement process. In the same time, there are implicit and hidden assumptions about his role. In fact, most interpretations taking as ontic level one of these fundamental concepts as information, physical law and matter bring us to new problematical questions. We think, that no interpretation of the quantum theory can avoid this intrusion until we do not clarify the nature of observer.

The Realistic Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics

It is demonstrated how quantum mechanics is generated by stochastic momentum kicks from the force carriers, transmitting the fundamental interactions between the point particles. The picture is consistent with quantum field theory and points out that the force carriers are the only quantum particles. Since the latter are waves in the coordinate space, they are responsible for the wavy character of quantum mechanics.

In this short communication, I gave a generalization of measurement postulate in quantum mechanics. It is regarding the case with partial measurement, namely, measurement on only part of a wave function. The different interpretations of quantum mechanics yield the same experimental results, which may give the impression that the question of what interpretation is the true one, is a philosophical question, not a scientific one. The present work shows that through a suitable change of variables relativistic dynamics can be mapped to light propagation in a non-homogeneous medium.
