The global in-time semiclassical and relaxation limits of the bipolar quantum hydrodynamic model for semiconductors are investigated in $R^3$. We prove that the unique strong solution converges globally in time to the strong solution of classical bipolar hydrodynamical equation in the process of semiclassical limit and to that of the classical Drift-Diffusion system under the combined relaxation and semiclassical limits.

Algebraic time-decay for the bipolar quantum hydrodynamic model

The initial value problem is considered in the present paper for bipolar quantum hydrodynamic model for semiconductors (QHD) in $\mathbb{R}^3$. We prove that the unique strong solution exists globally in time and tends to the asymptotical state with an algebraic rate as $t\to+\infty$. And, we show that the global solution of linearized bipolar QHD system decays in time at an algebraic decay rate from both above and below. Global existence and semiclassical limit for quantum hydrodynamic equations with viscosity and heat conduction

The hydrodynamic equations with quantum effects are studied in this paper. First we establish the global existence of smooth solutions with small initial data and then in the second part, we establish the convergence of the solutions of the quantum hydrodynamic equations to those of the classical hydrodynamic equations. The energy equation is considered in this paper, which added new difficulties to the energy estimates, especially to the selection of the appropriate Sobolev spaces.

Semiclassical hydrodynamics of a quantum Kane model for semiconductors

In this paper we derive a semiclassical hydrodynamic system for electron densities and currents in the two energy bands of a semiconductor. We use the semiclassical Wigner equation with a k.p Hamiltonian and a BGK dissipative term to construct the first two moment equations. The closure of the moment system is obtained using the Maximum Entropy Principle, by minimizing a Gibbs free-energy functional under suitable constraints. Global existence and $L^{p}$ convergence rates of planar waves for three-dimensional bipolar Euler-Poisson systems

In the paper, we consider a multi-dimensional bipolar hydrodynamic model from semiconductor devices and plasmas. This system takes the form of Euler-Poisson with electric field and frictional damping added to the momentum equations. Large time WKB approximation for multi-dimensional semiclassical Schrödinger-Poisson system

We consider the semiclassical Schrödinger-Poisson system with a special initial data of WKB type such that the solution of the limiting hydrodynamical equation becomes time-global in dimensions at least three. Equilibration in one-dimensional quantum hydrodynamic systems

We study quench dynamics and equilibration in one-dimensional quantum hydrodynamics, which provides effective descriptions of the density and velocity fields in gapless quantum gases. We show that the information content of the large time steady state is inherently connected to the presence of ballistically moving localised excitations. Derivation of isothermal quantum fluid equations with Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein statistics

By using the quantum maximum entropy principle we formally derive, from a underlying kinetic description, isothermal (hydrodynamic and diffusive) quantum fluid equations for particles with Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein statistics. A semiclassical expansion of the quantum fluid equations, up to O(h^2)-terms, leads to classical fluid equations with statistics-dependent quantum corrections, including a modified Bohm potential. The Maxwell-Boltzmann limit and the zero temperature limit are eventually discussed.
