Detailed structure calculations in $^{\: 12}_{Ξ^-}$Be, $^{\: 5}_{Ξ^-}$H, $^{\: 9}_{Ξ^-}$Li, $^{\: 7}_{Ξ^-}$H and $^{\:10}_{Ξ^-}$Li are performed within the framework of the microscopic two-, three- and four-body cluster models using the Gaussian Expansion Method.
In this paper, we presented the ground state energies calculated for some single and double cascade hyperon($Ξ^{-}$) hypernuclei. For hypernuclei of the type $_Ξ^{A_c+1}$X we applied $Ξ+^A_c$X two-body model and for hypernuclei of the type $_{ΞΞ}^{A_c+2}$X we adopted $Ξ+Ξ+^A_c$X three-body model. A two-term Gaussian (Isle type) potential with adjustable parameters is chosen as the $Ξ$-nucleus interaction, while a two-term Yukawa-type potential has been chosen for the $ΞΞ$ pair. In the three-body model calculation, we adopted the hyperspherical harmonics expansion (HHE) formalism. The resulting…

We calculate the structure of three-body hypernuclei with $S=-1$ using pionless effective field theory at leading order in the isospin $I=0$ and $I=1$ sectors. In both sectors, three-body hypernuclei arise naturally from the Efimov effect and a three-body parameter is required at leading order. We apply our theory to the hypertriton and the hypothetical $Λnn$ bound state and calculate the corresponding scaling factors. Moreover, we discuss constraints on the existence of the $Λnn$ bound state. In particular, we elucidate universal correlations between different observables and provide explicit…
We study the energy spectra of $Ξ$ hypernuclei $^{15}_Ξ$C and $^{12}_Ξ$Be with a relativistic mean field (RMF) model with meson exchange $ΞN$ interactions. The RMF parameters are optimized to reproduce the average energy of KINKA and IRRAWADDY events for the ground state and also the average energy of KISO and IBUKI events for the excited state in $^{15}_Ξ$C. The potential depth of average $ΞN$ mean field potential is found to be about $-12$ MeV in the nuclear matter limit. We further introduce the two-body $s$- and $p$-wave interactions between valence nucleons and $Ξ$ particle. We found that…
We investigate $S=-1$ and $-2$ hypernuclei with $A=4-8$ employing the Jacobi-NCSM approach and in combination with baryon-baryon interactions derived within the frame work of chiral effective field theory. The employed interactions are transformed using the similarity renormalization group (SRG) so that the low- and high-momentum states are decoupled, and, thereby, convergence of the binding energies with respect to model space can be significantly speeded up. Such an evolution is however only approximately unitary when the so-called SRG induced higher-body forces are omitted. We first explore …
We generalize the Jacobi no-core shell model (J-NCSM) to study double-strangeness hypernuclei. All particle conversions in the strangeness $S=-1,-2$ sectors are explicitly taken into account. In two-body space, such transitions may lead to the coupling between states of identical particles and of non-identical ones. Therefore, a careful consideration is required when determining the combinatorial factors that connect the many-body potential matrix elements and the free-space two-body potentials. Using second quantization, we systematically derive the combinatorial factors in question for $S=0,…
Few-body $Λ$ hypernuclei provide valuable information towards understanding strange matter. Recent experimental progress by the STAR Collaboration at the RHIC facility and by the ALICE Collaboration at the LHC has been matched by theoretical progress reviewed here: (i) lifetimes of the hypertriton $_Λ^3$H, $_Λ^3$n if particle-stable, $_Λ^4$H and $_Λ^4$He and their charge symmetry breaking, and (ii) the onset of $ΛΛ$ hypernuclear binding.
Bound state properties of few single and double-$Λ$ hypernuclei is critically examined in the framework of core-$Λ$ and core+$Λ+Λ$ few-body model applying hyperspherical harmonics expansion method (HHEM). The $ΛΛ$ potential is chosen phenomenologically while the core-$Λ$ potential is obtained by folding a phenomenological $ΛN$ interaction into the density distribution of the core. The depth of the effective $ΛN$ potential is adjusted to reproduce the experimental data for the core-$Λ$ subsystem. The three-body Schrödinger equation is solved by hyperspherical adiabatic approximation (HAA) to ge…
We investigate the properties of $Λ$ hyperon in $Λ$-hypernuclei using an effective nuclear density functional theory which is based on the low-energy effective field theory. It expands the energy density in the power of Fermi momentum, and consequently has multiple density dependence for the effective many-body interactions. Starting from the effective density functional for nucleons, we determine the parameters for the two- and many-body $Λ$-$N$ interactions added to the nucleon energy density functional by fitting to $Λ$-hypernuclear data. The experimental data consist of the energy levels o…
The J=1/2 iso-doublet double-$Λ$-hypernuclei, namely, ${}_{ΛΛ}^{5}$H and ${}_{ΛΛ}^{5}$He, are examined as the three-body cluster states, $ΛΛt$ ($t\equiv {}^3$H or triton) and $ΛΛh$ ($h\equiv {}^3$He or helion), respectively, in a model independent framework utilizing pionless halo effective theory. Both singlet and triplet states of the constituent $ΛT$ ($T\equiv t,h$) sub-system are used in the elastic channel for the study of $_Λ^4$H$-Λ$ and $_Λ^4$He$-Λ$ scattering processes. A prototypical leading order investigation using a sharp momentum cut-off regulator, irrespective of the type of the …

A depth of $D_Λ\approx -28$ MeV for the $Λ$-nucleus potential was confirmed in 1988 by studying $Λ$ binding energies deduced from $(π^+,K^+)$ spectra measured across the periodic table. Modern two-body hyperon-nucleon interaction models require additional interaction terms, most likely $ΛNN$ three-body terms, to reproduce $D_Λ$. In this work we apply a suitably constructed $Λ$-nucleus density dependent optical potential to binding energy calculations of observed $1s_Λ$ and $1p_Λ$ states in the mass range $12\leq A\leq 208$. The resulting $ΛNN$ contribution to $D_Λ$, about 14 MeV repulsion at s…
