By considering spectral triples on $S^{2}_{μ, c}$ ($c>0$) constructed by Chakraborty and Pal (\cite{chak_pal}), we show that in general the quantum group of volume and orientation preserving isometries (in the sense of \cite{goswami2}) for a spectral triple of compact type may not have a $C^*$-action, and moreover, it can fail to be a matrix quantum group. It is also proved that the category with objects consisting of those volume and orientation preserving quantum isometries which induce $C^*$-action on the $C^*$ algebra underlying the given spectral triple, may not have a universal object.

Suppose that a compact quantum group $\clq$ acts faithfully on a smooth, compact, connected manifold $M$, i.e. has a $C^*$ (co)-action $α$ on $C(M)$, such that the action $α$ is isometric in the sense of \cite{Goswami} for some Riemannian structure on $M$. We prove that $\clq$ must be commutative as a $C^{\ast}$ algebra i.e. $\clq\cong C(G)$ for some compact group $G$ acting smoothly on $M$. In this work we investigate the notion of action or coaction of a finite quantum groupoid in von Neumann algebras context. In particular we prove a double crossed product theorem and prove the existence of an universal von Neumann algebra on which any finite groupoids acts outerly. In previous works, N.
