Recent results at STAR for direct $γ$-charged hadron azimuthal correlations in heavy-ion collisions are presented. These correlations are used to study the color charge density of the medium through the medium-induced modification of high-p$_T$ parton fragmentation. Azimuthal correlations of direct photons at high transverse energy 8 $<$ E$_T$ $<$ 16 GeV with away-side charged hadrons of transverse momentum 3 $<$ p$_T$ $<$ 6 GeV/c have been measured over a broad range of centrality for $Au+Au$ collisions and $p+p$ collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV in the STAR experiment. The per-trigger away-side yield of direct $γ$ is smaller than from $π^{0}$ triggers in the same centrality class.
The measurement of J/{psi} azimuthal anisotropy is presented as a function of transverse momentum for different centralities in Au+Au collisions at {sqrt{s_{NN}}} = 200 GeV. The measured J/{psi} elliptic flow is consistent with zero within errors for transverse momentum between 2 and 10 GeV/c. Our measurement suggests that J/{psi} with relatively large transverse momentum are not dominantly produced by coalescence from thermalized charm quarks, when comparing to model calculations.

$π^{0}$ Azimuthal Anisotropy in Au+Au Collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=39-200$ GeV from PHENIX: Collision Energy and Path-Length Dependence of Jet-Quenching and the Role of Initial Geometry
At the leading twist, the transversity distribution function, $h^{q}_{1}(x)$, where $x$ is the longitudinal momentum fraction of the proton carried by quark $q$, encodes the transverse spin structure of the nucleon. Extraction of it is difficult because of its chiral-odd nature. In transversely polarized proton-proton collisions ($p^\uparrow p$), $h_{1}^{q}(x)$ can be coupled with another chiral-odd partner, a spin-dependent fragmentation function (FF). The resulting asymmetries in hadron(s) azimuthal correlations directly probe $h_{1}^{q}(x)$. We report the measurement of correlation asymmetr…
Studies of longitudinal correlations of the charged-particle multiplicity in heavy-ion collisions have provided insights into the asymmetry and fluctuations of the initial-state collision geometry. In addition to the expansion of the medium in the transverse direction, commonly quantified using Fourier coefficients ($v_{n}$), the initial geometry and resulting longitudinal expansion as a function of azimuthal angle enable us to better understand the full 3-dimensional picture of heavy-ion collisions. In these proceedings, azimuthal correlations of the longitudinal structure of charged-particle…
Azimuthal anisotropy of neutral pion production in Au+Au collisions at sqrt(s_NN) = 200 GeV: Path-length dependence of jet quenching and the role of initial geometry
In these proceedings, we present the second order ($v_{2}$) and the third order ($v_{3}$) azimuthal anisotropy measurements of strange and multi-strange hadrons such as $K^{0}_{S}$, $Λ$, $\barΛ$, $ϕ$, $Ξ^{-}$, $\barΞ^{+}$, $Ω^{-}$, $\barΩ^{+}$ in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 27 and 54.4 GeV at STAR. The centrality dependence of $v_{2}$ and $v_{3}$ as well as the number of constituent quark scaling (NCQ scaling) for all the particles mentioned above are discussed. The ratio of $v_{2}$ of $ϕ$ mesons to that of $\bar{p}$ is presented at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 54.4 GeV which gives a hint of ma…
In this proceedings, we have presented the invariant yield measurements of strange and multi strange hadrons such as $K^{0}_{S}$, $Λ$, $\barΛ$, $ϕ$, $Ξ^{-}$, $\barΞ^{+}$, $Ω^{-}$, $\barΩ^{+}$ in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 54.4 GeV at midrapidity ($|y|<0.5$). The second and third-order azimuthal anisotropic flow of the above mentioned particles at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 27 and 54.4 GeV are also discussed. Some of the important observables such as nuclear modification factor ($R_{CP}$), baryon to meson ratio ($Ω/ϕ$), transverse momentum dependence of $v_{2}$ and $v_{3}$ are measured. The n…
Charge-dependent anisotropy Fourier coefficients ($v_n$) of particle azimuthal distributions are measured in pPb and PbPb collisions at $ \sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}} = $ 5.02 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. The normalized difference in the second-order anisotropy coefficients ($v_2$) between positively and negatively charged particles is found to depend linearly on the observed event charge asymmetry with comparable slopes for both pPb and PbPb collisions over a wide range of charged particle multiplicity. In PbPb, the third-order anisotropy coefficient, $v_3$, shows a similar l…
Measurements of charge dependent azimuthal correlations with the ALICE detector at the LHC are reported for Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 2.76$ TeV. Two- and three-particle charge-dependent azimuthal correlations in the pseudo-rapidity range $|η| < 0.8$ are presented as a function of the collision centrality, particle separation in pseudo-rapidity, and transverse momentum. A clear signal compatible with a charge-dependent separation relative to the reaction plane is observed, which shows little or no collision energy dependence when compared to measurements at RHIC energies. This pr…
Recent STAR measurements of the anisotropic flow coefficients (v$_{n}$) are presented for Au+Au collisions spanning the beam energy range $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 7.7 - 200$ GeV. The measurements indicate dependences on the harmonic number ($n$), transverse momentum ($p_T$), pseudorapidity ($η$), collision centrality and beam energy ($\sqrt{s_{NN}}$) which could serve as important constraints to test different initial-state models and to aid precision extraction of the temperature dependence of the specific shear viscosity.
The azimuthal correlations of D mesons and charged particles were measured with the ALICE detector in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV and p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=5.02$ TeV at the Large Hadron Collider. D$^0$, D$^+$, and D$^{*+}$ mesons and their charge conjugates with transverse momentum $3<p_{\rm T}<16$ GeV/$c$ and rapidity in the nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass system $|y_{\rm cms}|<0.5$ (pp collisions) and $-0.96<y_{\rm cms}<0.04$ (p-Pb collisions) were correlated to charged particles with $p_{\rm T}>0.3$ Gev/$c$. The properties of the correlation peak induced by the jet cont…
The prompt D$^0$ meson azimuthal anisotropy coefficients, $v_2$ and $v_3$, are measured at midrapidity ($|y| < 1.0$) in PbPb collisions at a center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} = $5.02 TeV per nucleon pair with data collected by the CMS experiment. The measurement is performed in the transverse momentum ($p_\mathrm{T}$) range of 1 to 40 GeV/c, for central and midcentral collisions. The $v_2$ coefficient is found to be positive throughout the $p_\mathrm{T}$ range studied. The first measurement of the prompt D$^0$ meson $v_3$ coefficient is performed, and values up to 0.07 are observed f…
ATLAS measurements of two-particle correlations are presented for $\sqrt{s} = 5.02$ and $13$ TeV $pp$ collisions and for $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}} = 5.02$ TeV $p$+Pb collisions at the LHC. The correlation functions are measured as a function of relative azimuthal angle $Δϕ$, and pseudorapidity separation $Δη$, using charged particles detected within the pseudorapidity interval $|η|{<}2.5$. Azimuthal modulation in the long-range component of the correlation function, with $|Δη|{>}2$, is studied using a template fitting procedure to remove a "back-to-back" contribution to the correlation function …
The yield of charged particles associated with high-$p_{\rm T}$ trigger particles ($8 < p_{\rm T} < 15$ GeV/$c$) is measured with the ALICE detector in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV relative to proton-proton collisions at the same energy. The conditional per-trigger yields are extracted from the narrow jet-like correlation peaks in azimuthal di-hadron correlations. In the 5% most central collisions, we observe that the yield of associated charged particles with transverse momenta $p_{\rm T}> 3$ GeV/$c$ on the away-side drops to about 60% of that observed in pp collisions, …
