In the framework of the quark delocalization color screening model, we investigate tetraquarks composed of $us\bar{d}\bar{b}$ and $ud\bar{s}\bar{b}$ in two structures: meson-meson structure and diquark-antidiquark structure. Neither bound state nor resonance state is found in the system composed of $us\bar{d}\bar{b}$. The reported $X(5568)$ cannot be explained as a molecular state or a diquark-antidiquark resonance of $us\bar{d}\bar{b}$ in present calculation. However, two bound states of the diquark-antidiquark structure are obtained in the tetraquarks system composed of $ud\bar{s}\bar{b}$: a…
In this work, we systematically investigate the two-pseudoscalar meson systems with the Bethe-Salpeter equation in the ladder and instantaneous approximations. By solving the Bethe-Salpeter equation numerically with the kernel containing the one-particle exchange diagrams, we find that the $K\bar{K}$, $DK$, $B\bar{K}$, $D\bar{D}$, $B\bar{B}$, $BD$, $D\bar{K}$, $BK$, and $B\bar{D}$ systems with $I=0$ can exist as bound states. We also study the contributions from heavy meson ($J/ψ$ and $Υ$) exchanges, and we find that the contribution from heavy meson exchange can not be ignored.
The recently observed narrow resonance $Z_{b}(10610)$ is examined with the assumptions both as a $B^{*}\bar{B}$ molecular state and a $[bd][\bar{b}\bar{u}]$ tetraquark state with quantum numbers $I^{G}J^{P}=1^{+}1^{+}$. Possible interpolating currents are constructed to describe the $Z_{b}(10650)$ as an axial-vector $B^{*}\bar{B}^{*}$ molecular state or a $[bd][\bar{b}\bar{u}]$ tetraquark state. Using QCD sum rules (QCDSR), we consider contributions up to dimension six in the operator product expansion (OPE) at the leading order in $α_{s}$. The mass is obtained as $(10.44\pm0.23) GeV$ for mole…
In recent times, the charged-current mediated semileptonic $b \to c τ\bar ν_τ$ processes have attracted a lot of attention after the observation of lepton non-universality ratios, $R_{D^{(*)}}$, $R_{J/ψ}$ and the measurements on $D^*$ and $τ$ longitudinal polarization fractions in $\bar B\to D^* τ\bar ν_τ$ processes. We present a model-independent analysis of $ \bar B\to D^{(*)} τ\bar ν_τ$, $ B_s\to D_s^{(*)} τ\bar ν_τ$, $ B_c^+ \to (η_c, J/ψ) τ^+ ν_τ$, $Λ_b \to Λ_c τ\bar ν_τ$ and $\bar B \to D^{**} τ\bar ν_τ$ (where $D^{**} = \{D^*_0, D_1^*, D_1, D_2^*\}$ are the four lightest excited charm m…
By assuming that $Y(4260)$ is a $D_1\bar D$ molecular state, we investigate some hidden-charm and charmed pair decay channels of $Y(4260)$ via intermediate $D_1\bar D$ meson loops with an effective Lagrangian approach. Through investigating the $α$-dependence of branching ratios and ratios between different decay channels, we show that the intermediate $D_1 \bar D$ meson loops are crucial for driving these transitions of $Y(4260)$ studied here. The coupled channel effects turn out to be more important in $Y(4260) \to D^{*}\bar{D}^{*}$, which can be tested in the future experiments.
Several measurements on $R_D, R_{D^*}$, and $R_{J/ ψ}$ by the BaBar, Belle, and LHCb experiments show significant deviations from their Standard Model (SM) predictions, which illustrate the fact that the concept of lepton flavor universality (LFU) is violated in semileptonic $B$ meson as well as leptonic $Υ(ns)(n=1,2,3)$ decays. Recently BaBar experiment announced that at $1.8σ$ level, $R_Υ(3s)= {\rm Br}(Υ(3s) \to τ\barτ)/{\rm Br}(Υ(3s) \to μ\barμ)$ shows an acceptance with the SM. These fascinating findings point towards the possible implication of new physics in the $b \to c τ\barν$ transiti…
The recent measurements of lepton flavor university (LFU) violating observables in semileptonic $b \to c \ell \barν $ and $b\to s\ell^+ \ell^-$ transitions by various experiments exhibit $(2-3)σ$ deviations from their corresponding Standard Model (SM) predictions. These tantalizing signals hint towards the possible role of new physics (NP) in $b \to c τ\barν$ and $b\to sμ^+μ^-$ decay channels. This in turn indicates that the same class of NP as appeared in $b \to c τ\barν$, might also show up in other tree level processes involving $b \to u τ\barν$ transition. Since these charged current trans…
An alternative model of the fragmentation of the Lund string, investigating the hypothesis of helix-like ordered gluon field, is compared with hadronic $Z^0$ data. A significant improvement in the description of various measured quantities is achieved. In particular, the existence of correlations between longitudinal and transverse components of hadron momenta (as suggested by the helix string model) seems to be supported by the data.
We study the hadronic molecular states with the quark content $bc\bar{s}\bar{q}$ by investigating the interactions of the $\bar{B}_s D$, $\bar{B} D_s$, $\bar{B}_s^* D$, $\bar{B}^* D_s$, $\bar{B}_s D^*$, $\bar{B} D_s^*$, $\bar{B}_s^* D^*$, and $\bar{B}^* D_s^*$ systems. By solving the Bethe-Salpeter equation within the extended local hidden gauge formalism, we find altogether six poles qualifying as possible hadronic molecular states: one pole of $J^P=0^+$ below the $\bar{B}_s D$-$\bar{B}D_s$ threshold, one pole of $J^P=1^+$ below the $\bar{B}_s^* D$-$\bar{B}^* D_s$ threshold, one pole of $J^P=…
We show how deeply virtual pseudoscalar meson production experiments single out the contribution of the four chiral odd quark-proton GPDs which are related to the so far elusive transversity distribution function, $h_1$. Furthermore, in the kinematical ranges of the proposed EIC, electroproduction of strange and charmed mesons will allow one to uniquely pin down the non-perturbative charmed component in the nucleon structure function, and at the same time provide new insights in the connection of the quark/gluon degrees of freedom with the meson-baryon description. The use of dispersion relati…

We propose the measurement of net $Λ$ and $\barΛ$ helicity, correlated event-by-event with the magnitude and sign of charge separation along the event's magnetic field direction, as a probe to investigate the Chiral Magnetic Effect in Heavy-Ion Collisions. With a simple simulation model of heavy-ion events that includes effects of Local Parity Violation, we estimate the experimental correlation signal that could be expected at RHIC given the results of previous measurements that are sensitive to the CME.
An inclusive baryon to meson enhancement with increase in multiplicity has been observed in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$= 7 TeV. Such a striking feature of the data can be explained by approaches based on hydrodynamics and multi-parton interactions (MPI) coupled with color reconnection (CR) mechanism. In this paper, we investigate the multiplicity evolution of the charged particle yields associated with pions and protons selected from the intermediate $p_{T}$ region where the inclusive baryon to meson enhancement has been observed. The study has been peformed using EPOS 3 (hydrodynamics) and PY…
In this paper, we use Martin and Coulomb-Linear potentials and solve Lippman-Schwinger equation and then identify $b\bar{c}$ energy levels. Moreover, we predict results for such energy levels as that of $t\bar{t}$ (in its short half-life) which is not observed. We showed our results are consistent with previous findings in literature. Also investigating spectrum of eigen-values, we obtain stability interval for Yukawa-Linear potential.
To understand the structure of hadrons and their production mechanisms, it is very important to be able to identify their quantum numbers. For investigating the spin and parity quantum numbers of $Ξ$ and $Ω$ baryons, in particular, it is very important to understand strong interactions in the strangeness sector. At present, such quantum numbers are known for only a few of the $Ξ$ baryons, and even the parity of the ground state $Ξ(1318)$ has never been measured. In this article, we present a novel, model-independent way to determine the parity of $Ξ$ baryons solely based on symmetry considerat…
In this work we analyse the entanglement entropy in deep inelastic scattering off protons and nuclei. It is computed based on the formalism where the partonic state at small-x is maximally entangled with proton being constituted by large number of microstates occuring with equal probabilities. We consider analytical expressions for the number of gluons, N_{gluon}, obtained from gluon saturation models for the dipole-target amplitudes within the QCD color dipole picture. In particular, the nuclear entanglement entropy per nucleon is studied. We also study the underlying uncertainties on these c…
One of the physics goals of the NA61/SHINE collaboration at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron is to study the phase diagram of hadronic matter. To this end, a series of heavy ion collision measurements are performed. It is believed that above a certain collision energy and system size a phase transition between hadronic matter and quark-gluon plasma occurs. A number of observables has been developed to determine which of the phases was created at the early stage of the collision. This report discusses the dependence of the ratio of the mean number of produced pions to the mean number of wounde…
