Quantum Mirrors Via SPDC-Crossing Symmetric Phenomena and a New Geometric Optics

Plane SPDC-Quantum Mirror

In this paper the kinematical correlations from the phase conjugated optics (equivalently with crossing symmetric spontaneous parametric down conversion (SPDC) phenomena) in the nonlinear crystals are used for the description of a new kind of optical device called SPDC-quantum mirrors. Then, some important laws of the plane SPDC-quantum mirrors combined with usual mirrors or lens are proved only by using geometric optics concepts. In particular, these results allow us to obtain a new interpretation of the recent experiments on the two-photon geometric optics.

Bi-photon propagation control with optimized wavefront by means of Adaptive Optics

We present an efficient method to control the spatial modes of entangled photons produced through SPDC process. Bi-photon beam propagation is controlled by a deformable mirror, that shapes a 404nm CW diode laser pump interacting with a nonlinear BBO type-I crystal. Thanks to adaptive optical system, the propagation of 808nm SPDC light produced is optimized over a distance of 2m. Quantum Crossing Symmetry as Heart of Ghost Imaging

In this paper it is shown that the key to understanding the ghost imaging mystery are the crossing symmetric photon reactions in the nonlinear media. Then, an intuitive mechanism for the description of the ghost imaging in terms of the quantum mirror (QM) is presented. Moreover, we prove that the ghost imaging laws depend only on the energy-momentum conservation and not on the photons entanglement.

The Emergence of Topological Nodal Points in Photonic Crystal with Mirror Symmetry

We show that topological nodal points can emerge in photonic crystal possessing mirror symmetry. The mechanism of generating topological nodal points is discussed in a two-dimensional photonic square lattice, in which four topological nodal points split out naturally after the touching of two bands with different parity. The emergence of such nodal points, characterized by vortex structure in momentum space, is attributed to the unavoidable band crossing protected by mirror symmetry.
