Reanalysis of the process of the cascade gamma decay of compound state of $^{198}$Au

To further study the "pygmy" resonance phenomena in the photon strength function, we reanalyzed the two-step cascade data for the target nucleus $^{197}$Au using the Dubna group approach. The range of obtained values allows for meaningful conclusions: the level density at low excitation energy shows a step-like behavior; the electric dipole photon strength function has a broad maximum around $E_γ=5$ MeV and is not typical of a "pygmy" resonance; the level density below $B_{n}$ also demonstrates step-like behavior.

Cascade Gamma-Decay of the 193Os Compound Nucleus and some Aspects of Dynamics of Change in Nuclear Properties below Bn

Two-step cascades from the 192Os(n th,gamma)193Os reaction were studied in gamma-gamma coincidence measurement. The decay scheme of 193Os was established up to the excitation energy ~3 MeV. The excitation spectrum of intermediate levels of most intense cascades was found to be practically harmonic.

Main parameters of the 118Sn compound-state cascade gamma-decay

Main properties of the excited states of $^{118}$Sn manifesting themselves in cascade gamma-decay of its compound state were studied. As in other heavier nuclei studied earlier, qualitative interpretation of the totality of the observed properties of this nucleus is impossible without accounting for coexistence and interaction of quasi-particle and collective nuclear excitations and their considerable influence on the main parameters of the process under study.

Intense two-step cascades and gamma-decay scheme of the Sn-118 compound nucleus

Transition energies and intensities of 454 two-step cascades following thermal neutron capture in Sn-117 have been measured. These data allowed us to make more precise and considerably extend the earlier obtained decay scheme of the Sn-118 nucleus. Autocorrelation analysis of the excitation spectrum of intermediate levels of the most intense cascades allowed us to determine the most probable period of their regularity. Parameters of Cascade Gamma-Decay of Compound-Nuclei Nd-146, Gd-156, Yb-172, Ta-182, W-184, Os-191, Th-231,233, U-239, Pu-240 from Experimental Data of Reaction $(n,γ)$

Re-analysis of experimental data on primary gamma-transitions averaged over some energy intervals of neutron resonances has been performed. Approximation of their cumulative sums together with extrapolation of the obtained distribution to zero value allowed us to determine mean intensities of of E1- and M1-transitions, their probable number and total dispersion of intensity deviations from the mean value. On the correctness of various approaches in the extraction of the nucleus parameters on example of analysis of the two-step gamma-cascades in 163Dy compound nucleus

The model-free analysis of experimental data in the intensities of two-step cascades into 163Dy shows, that the basically special features of the cascade gamma-decay of its compound-state completely correspond to those observed in other nuclei. Thus, the density of the levels in this nucleus with good precision it is reproduced as sum of three, five, seven-quasiparticle excitations with the tenfold, as the minimum, by an increase due to vibration type excitations. Probable Level Densities and Radiative Strength Functions of Dipole gamma-Transitions in 57Fe Compound Nucleus

From the published results of experimental research of 56Fe(n,2gamma) reaction carried out in Budapest, the values of the most probable densities of cascade intermediate levels with 1/2, 3/2 spin and radiative strength functions of cascade E1 and M1 transitions in 57Fe compound nucleus have been determined. The reanalysis of the published experimental data from reaction Co-59(p,2gamma)Ni-60 was performed. Deformation Effects in Hot Rotating 46Ti Probed by the Charged Particle Emission and GDR gamma-Decay

Giant Dipole Resonance Width in near-Sn Nuclei at Low Temperature and High Angular Momentum

High energy gamma-rays in coincidence with low energy yrast gamma-rays have been measured from 113Sb, at excitation energies of 109 and 122 MeV, formed by bombarding 20Ne on 93Nb at projectile energies of 145 and 160 MeV respectively to study the role of angular momentum (J) and temperature (T) over Giant Dipole Resonance (GDR) width.
