The precise momentum dependence of the superconducting gap in the iron-arsenide superconductor with Tc = 32K (BKFA) was determined from angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) via fitting the distribution of the quasiparticle density to a model. The model incorporates finite lifetime and experimental resolution effects, as well as accounts for peculiarities of BKFA electronic structure. We have found that the value of the superconducting gap is practically the same for the inner Gamma-barrel, X-pocket, and "blade"-pocket, and equals 9 meV, while the gap on the outer Gamma-barrel is estimated to be less than 4 meV, resulting in 2Delta/kT_c=6.8 for the large gap, and 2Delta/kT_c<3 for the small gap. A large (77 \pm 3%) non-superconducting component in the photoemission signal is observed below T_c. Details of gap extraction from ARPES data are discussed in Appendix.
We show theoretically that double photoemission (2$e$-ARPES) may be used to identify the pairing state in superconductors in which the Cooper pairs have a nonzero center-of-mass momentum, ${\bf q}_{cm}$. We theoretically evaluate the 2$e$ ARPES counting rate, $P^{(2)}$, for the cases of a $d_{x^2-y^2}$-wave superconductor, a pair-density-wave (PDW) phase, and a Fulde-Ferrel-Larkin-Ovchinnikov (FFLO) phase. We show that $P^{(2)}$ provides direct insight into the center-of-mass momentum and spin state of the superconducting condensate, and thus can distinguish between these three different super…
We report inelastic x-ray scattering experiments on the lattice dynamics in SmFeAsO and superconducting SmFeAsO$_{0.6}$F$_{0.35}$ single crystals. Particular attention was paid to the dispersions along the [100] direction of three optical modes close to 23 meV, polarized out of the FeAs planes. Remarkably, two of these modes are strongly renormalized upon fluorine doping. These results provide significant insight into the energy and momentum dependence of the coupling of the lattice to the electron system and underline the importance of spin-phonon coupling in the superconducting iron-pnictide…
We study the dependence on filling and pressure of the superconducting and ferromagnetic critical temperatures of the ruthenocuprates, within the two-band model. At zero pressure, we find separate regions of coexistence of superconductivity and ferromagnetism as a function of filling, with contiguous regions merging together as pressure increases. As a function of pressure, a stronger enhancement of the magnetic phase results in a reduced pressure effect on the superconducting critical temperature. Comparison with recent experiments on the determination of the critical temperatures as a functi…
We report the pressure dependence of the superconducting transition temperature, $T_c$, in TlNi$_2$Se$_{2-x}$S$_x$ detected via the AC susceptibility method. The pressure-temperature phase diagram constructed for TlNi$_{2}$Se$_{2}$, TlNi$_{2}$S$_{2}$ and TlNi$_{2}$SeS exhibits two unexpected features: (a) a sudden collapse of the superconducting state at moderate pressure for all three compositions and (b) a dome-shaped pressure dependence of $T_c$ for TlNi$_{2}$SeS. These results point to the nontrivial role of S substitution and its subtle interplay with applied pressure, as well as novel su…

Understanding of the puzzling phenomenon of high temperature superconductivity requires reliable spectroscopic information about temperature dependence of the bulk electronic density of states. Here I present a comprehensive analysis of $T-$evolution of bulk electronic spectra in Bi-2212 obtained by Intrinsic Tunneling Spectroscopy on small mesa structures. Unambiguous spectroscopic information is obtained by obviation of self-heating problem and by improving the spectroscopic resolution. The obtained data indicate that the superconducting transition maintains the mean-field character down to …
We investigate a superconducting state irradiated by a laser beam with spin and orbital angular momentum. It is shown that superconducting vortices are created by the laser beam due to heating effect and transfer of angular momentum of light. Possible experiments to verify our prediction are also discussed.
We present a systematic angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopic study of the high-Tc superconductor class (Sr/Ba){1-x}(K/Na)xFe2As2. By utilizing a photon-energy-modulation contrast and scattering geometry we report the Fermi surface and the momentum dependence of the superconducting gap, Delta(k). A prominent quasiparticle dispersion kink reflecting strong scattering processes is observed in a binding-energy range of 25-55 meV in the superconducting state, and the coherence length or the extent of the Cooper pair wave function is found to be about 20-angstrom, which is uncharacteristic of …
The pressure dependence of superconducting transition temperature $T_{\rm c}$ has been investigated through the DC magnetic measurements for FeSe$_{0.8}$ and FeSe$_{1.0}$. For both samples, with increasing pressure $P$, the $T_{\rm c}$$-$$P$ curve exhibits a two-step increase, showing a local maximum of $\sim$11 K at $P$$\sim$1.0 GPa and a rapid increase with an extremely large pressure coefficient for $P$$>$1.5 GPa. $T_{\rm c}$ saturates at $\sim$25 K (21 K) in FeSe$_{1.0}$ (FeSe$_{0.8}$) for $P$$>$3 GPa. A rapid decrease in superconducting volume fraction is observed with an increase in $T_{…
The kinetic inductance properties of a thin superconducting sample of BSCCO-2223 compound is studied. A strong dependence of kinetic inductance with the variation of applied magnetic field is found at low temperature in the superconducting state. The kinetic inductance of a thin superconductor increases linearly with increasing magnetic field. This behavior is used for designing a superconducting modulator circuit. This behavior can be useful for device applications and designing of superconducting electronic circuits like superconducting power amplifier, superconducting transmitter and superc…
Within the kinetic energy driven superconducting mechanism, the effect of the pressure on superconductivity in doped two-leg ladder cuprates is studied. It is shown that the superconducting transition temperature in doped two-leg ladder cuprate superconductors increases with increasing pressure in the underpressure regime, and reaches a maximum in the optimal pressure, then decreases in the overpressure regime. This domed shape of the pressure dependence of the superconducting transition temperature is similar to that of the pressure dependence of the longitudinal part of the superconducting g…
We demonstrate that the E vs. k dispersion in the superconducting state extracted from momentum distribution curves differs qualitatively from the traditional dispersion extracted from energy distribution curves. This occurs because of a combination of many-body effects and the presence of an energy gap, along with the associated coherence factors. Analysis of such MDC dispersions can give important information on the microscopics of high temperature superconductors.
We have performed a temperature-dependent angle-integrated photoemission study of lightly-doped to heavily-overdoped La$_{2-x}$Sr$_{x}$CuO$_4$ and oxygen-doped La$_2$CuO$_{4.10}$. We found that both the magnitude $Δ$* of the (small) pseudogap and the temperature \textit{T}* at which the pseudogap is opened increases with decreasing hole concentration, consistent with previous studies. On the other hand, the superconducting gap $Δ_{sc}$ was found to remain small for decreasing hole concentration. The results can be explained if the superconducting gap opens only on the Fermi arc around the noda…
We present results of in field directional point contact spectroscopy (DPCS) study in the quaternary borocarbide superconductor YNi2B2C, which is characterized by a highly anisotropic superconducting gap function. For I||a, the superconducting energy gap (D), decreases linearly with magnetic field and vanishes around 3.25T which is well below the upper critical field (Hc2~6T) measured at the same temperature (2.2K). For I||c, on the other hand, D decreases weakly with magnetic field but the broadening parameter (G) increases rapidly with magnetic field with the absence of any resolvable featur…
Super-high resolution laser-based angle-resolved photoemission measurements have been carried out on Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+d (Bi2212) superconductors to investigate momentum dependence of electron coupling with collective excitations (modes). Two coexisting energy scales are clearly revealed over a large momentum space for the first time in the superconducting state of an overdoped Bi2212 superconductor. These two energy scales exhibit distinct momentum dependence: one keeps its energy near 78 meV over a large momentum space while the other changes its energy from $\sim$40 meV near the antinodal regio…
Raman spectroscopy of a cobalt-doped iron-pnictide superconductor reveals the complex electronic structure of the superconducting state in this material. [Viewpoint on Phys. Rev. B 80, 180510 (2009), arXiv:0910.0898]
In order to understand the experimentally proposed phase diagrams of NaxCoO2.yH2O, we theoretically study the CoO2-layer-thickness dependence of magnetic and superconducting (SC) properties by analyzing a multiorbital Hubbard model using the random phase approximation. When the Co valence (s) is +3.4, we show that the magnetic fluctuation exhibits strong layer-thickness dependence where it is enhanced at finite (zero) momentum in the thicker (thinner) layer system. A magnetic order phase appears sandwiched by two SC phases, consistent with the experiments. These two SC phases have different pa…
We present low-temperature thermal conductivity measurements on the cuprate Tl_2Ba_2CuO_{6+delta} throughout the overdoped regime. In the T -> 0 limit, the thermal conductivity due to d-wave nodal quasiparticles provides a bulk measurement of the superconducting gap, Delta. We find Delta to decrease with increasing doping, with a magnitude consistent with spectroscopic measurements (photoemission and tunneling). This argues for a pure and simple d-wave superconducting state in the overdoped region of the phase diagram, which appears to extend into the underdoped regime down to a hole concentra…
The three-dimensional band structure and superconducting gap of Ba0.6K0.4Fe2As2 are studied with high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. In contrast to previous results, we have identified three hole-like Fermi surfaces near the zone center with sizable out-of-plane or kz dispersion. The superconducting gap on certain Fermi surface shows significant kz-dependence. Moreover, we found that the superconducting gap sizes are different at the same Fermi momentum for two bands with different spatial symmetries (one odd, one even). Our results provide further information on the ric…
We present details of carrier properties in high quality ${\rm Ba(Fe_{1-x}Co_{x})_2As_2}$ single crystals obtained from electronic Raman scattering. The experiments indicate a strong band and momentum anisotropy of the electron dynamics above and below the superconducting transition highlighting the importance of complex band-dependent interactions. The presence of low energy spectral weight deep in the superconducting state suggests a gap with accidental nodes which may be lifted by doping and/or impurity scattering. When combined with other measurements, our observation of band and momentum …
We show that the pair-density-wave (PDW) superconducting state emergent in extended Heisenberg-Hubbard models in two-leg ladders is topological in the presence of an Ising spin symmetry and supports a Majorana zero mode (MZM) at an open boundary and at a junction with a uniform $d$-wave one-dimensional superconductor. Similarly to a conventional finite-momentum paired state, the order parameter of the PDW state is a charge-$2e$ field with finite momentum. However, the order parameter here is a {\it quartic} electron operator and conventional mean-field theory cannot be applied to study this st…
Thermal transport in the T -> 0 limit was measured as a function of doping in high-quality single crystals of the cuprate superconductor YBa_2Cu_3O_y. The residual linear term kappa_0/T is found to decrease as one moves from the overdoped regime towards the Mott insulator region of the phase diagram. The doping dependence of the low-energy quasiparticle gap extracted from kappa_0/T is seen to scale closely with that of the pseudogap, arguing against a non-superconducting origin for the pseudogap. The presence of a linear term for all dopings is evidence against the existence of a quantum phase…
Nematic order is ubiquitous in liquid crystals and is characterized by a rotational symmetry breaking in an otherwise uniform liquid. Recently a similar phenomenon has been observed in some electronic phases of quantum materials related to high temperature superconductivity, particularly in the Fe-based superconductors. While several experiments have probed nematic fluctuations, they have been primarily restricted to the uniform nematic susceptibility, i.e. q = 0 fluctuations. Here, we investigate the behavior of finite-momentum nematic fluctuations by measuring transverse acoustic phonon mode…
We present measurements of the superconducting critical temperature Tc and upper critical field Hc2 as a function of pressure in the transition metal dichalcogenide 2H-NbS2 up to 20 GPa. We observe that Tc increases smoothly from 6K at ambient pressure to about 8.9K at 20GPa. This range of increase is comparable to the one found previously in 2H-NbSe2. The temperature dependence of the upper critical field Hc2(T) of 2H-NbS2 varies considerably when increasing the pressure. At low pressures, Hc2(0) decreases, and at higher pressures both Tc and Hc2(0) increase simultaneously. This points out th…
In the recently synthesized Li$_x$(NH$_2$)$_y$(NH$_3$)$_z$Fe$_2$Se$_2$ family of iron chalcogenides a molecular spacer consisting of lithium ions, lithium amide and ammonia separates layers of FeSe. It has been shown that upon variation of the chemical composition of the spacer layer, superconducting transition temperatures can reach $T_c\sim 44 \mathrm{K}$, but the relative importance of the layer separation and effective doping to the $T_c$ enhancement is currently unclear. Using state of the art band structure unfolding techniques, we construct eight-orbital models from ab-initio density fu…
We have performed an ultrahigh-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy study of slightly-overdoped (Bi,Pb)2Sr2CuO6 to elucidate the origin of pseudogap. By using a newly developed xenon-plasma light source, we determined the comprehensive momentum and temperature dependences of the superconducting gap and the pseudogap. We found that the antinodal pseudogap persists far above the superconducting transition temperature and is smoothly connected to the nodal gap. The characteristic temperature of the pseudogap scales well with the superconducting-gap size irrespective of the momentu…
We consider the necessary conditions of superconducting pairing at repulsive interaction between particles composing a pair with large total momentum: (1) the existence of, at least, one negative eigenvalue of the repulsion potential and (2) mirror nesting of the Fermi contour. Under these conditions, we represent the solution of the self-consistency equation continuously depending on the momentum of the relative motion of the pair. The corresponding superconducting order parameter changes its sign on a line crossing the Fermi contour inside the domain of definition of the relative motion pair…
We report measurements of the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity, ρ(T), and magnetic penetration depth, λ(T), for polycrystalline samples of Eu_0.5K_0.5Fe_2As_2 with Tc=31 K. $ρ(T)$ follows a linear temperature dependence above T_c and bends over to a weaker temperature dependence around 150 K. The magnetic penetration depth, determined by radio frequency technique displays an unusual minimum around 4 K which is associated with short-range ordering of localized Eu3+ moments.
In the present work, we report the new findings on the doping level dependence of the phase coherence between superconducting Bi$_2$Sr$_2$CaCu$_2$O$_{8+δ}$ (Bi-2212) grains. The experimental results from the strongly underdoped and overdoped regimes deviated from the expectation based on the doping level dependence of the superfluid density at $T$ = 0 K. These findings appear to be governed by interplay between competing orders inside the superconducting dome of cuprate superconductors. Two quantum critical points are likely to exist at the underdoped and overdoped regimes beneath the supercon…
The paper compares the K-dependence of the superconducting gap in different doping ranges. The fine behavior of the leading edge gap indicates that the pairing susceptibility is peaked at special regions on the Fermi surface. These hot regions are found to be centered away from nominal "hot spots". This behavior is attributed to a feedback effect on the pairing boson. Identification is made through comparison with neutron diffraction results.
The non-centrosymmetric superconductor CePt$_3$Si is believed to have a line node in the energy gap arising from coexistence of s-wave and p-wave pairing. We show that a weak c-axis magnetic field will remove this line node, since it has no topological stability against time-reversal symmetry breaking perturbations. Conversely a field in the $a-b$ plane is shown to remove the line node on some regions of the Fermi surface, while bifurcating the line node in other directions, resulting in two 'boomerang'-like shapes. These line node topological changes are predicted to be observable experimenta…
We discuss the angular momentum blockade in small d-wave superconducting grains in an external field. We find that abrupt changes in angular momentum state of the condensate, angular momentum blockade, occur as a result of changes in the angular momentum of the condensate in an external magnetic field. The effect rep- resents a direct analogy with the Coulomb blockade. We use the Ginzburg-Landau formalism to illustrate how a magnetic field induces a deviation from the d-wave symmetry which is described by a (d + id')-order parameter. We derive the behavior of the volume magnetic susceptibility…

We study vortex penetration into two-layer structures of superconducting plates under a perpendicular magnetic field. We solve the heat transport equation and the Maxwell equations with the current-voltage relation for superconductor, simultaneously, and obtain magnetic flux and current densities. We show how magnetic flux structure depends on the structure, especially distance of two-layer of superconductors.
The quasiparticle excitations in the mixed state of Cd2Re2O7 have been studied by means of muon spin rotation/relaxation. The temperature dependence of the magnetic penetration depth (lambda) is consistent with a nearly isotropic superconducting order parameter, although a slight discrepancy which is dependent on the details in the analysis may be present. This is also supported by the relatively weak field dependence of lambda.
We analyze the influence of the magnetic field generated by the supercurrents (self-field) on the current density distribution by numerical simulations. The thickness of the superconducting film determines the self-field and consequently the critical current density at zero applied field. We find an equation, which derives the thickness dependence of the critical current density from its dependence on the magnetic induction. Solutions of the equation reproduce numerical simulations to great accuracy, thus enabling a quantification of the dependence of the self-field critical current density wi…
We report the observation by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy of an impurity state located inside the superconducting gap of Ba$_{0.6}$K$_{0.4}$Fe$_2$As$_2$ and vanishing above the superconducting critical temperature, for which the spectral weight is confined in momentum space near the Fermi wave vector positions. We demonstrate, supported by theoretical simulations, that this in-gap state originates from weak non-magnetic scattering between bands with opposite sign of the superconducting gap phase. This weak scattering, likely due to off-plane Ba/K disorders, occurs mostly among nei…
Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) is used to study the mass renormalization of the charge carriers in the high-T_c superconductor (Pb,Bi)_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_8 in the vicinity of the (pi,0) point in the superconducting and the normal state. Using matrix element effects at different photon energies and due to a high momentum and energy resolution the bonding and the antibonding bands could be separated in the whole dopant range. A huge anisotropic coupling to a bosonic collective mode is observed below T_c for both bands in particular for the underdoped case. Above T_c, the more isotro…
It is shown that the bipolaron theory of Cooper pairs suggests that there is a possibility for a superconducting phase to exist at low and high levels of doping and be absent at intermediate level of doping. The results obtained imply possibly universal character of 1/8 anomaly.
The superconducting gap is the fundamental parameter that characterizes the superconducting state, and its symmetry is a direct consequence of the mechanism responsible for Cooper pairing. Here we discuss about angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements of the superconducting gap in the Fe-based high-temperature superconductors. We show that the superconducting gap is Fermi surface dependent and nodeless with small anisotropy, or more precisely, a function of momentum. We show that while this observation is inconsistent with weak coupling approaches for superconductivity in these m…
We use angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) to study the momentum dependence of the superconducting gap in NdFeAsO1-xFx single crystals. We find that the Gamma hole pocket is fully gapped below the superconducting transition temperature. The value of the superconducting gap is 15 +- 1.5 meV and its anisotropy around the hole pocket is smaller than 20% of this value. This is consistent with an isotropic or anisotropic s-wave symmetry of the order parameter or exotic d-wave symmetry with nodes located off the Fermi surface sheets. This is a significant departure from the situation i…

It was previously suggested that an odd-frequency pair amplitude exists in the vicinity of boundaries in unconventional superconductors. We develop this idea and quest for a novel superconducting order parameter with an odd-frequency dependence. For this purpose, we focus on p-wave superconductors and extend the quasi-classical theory to include the odd-frequency dependence in the order parameter. Both of the frequency and spacial dependences of the order parameter are determined self-consistently. Under a finite electron-phonon interaction, it is found that an odd-frequency order parameter is…
We report the pressure dependences of the superconducting transition temperature (T_c) in several perovskite-type Fe-based superconductors through the resistivity measurements up to ~4 GPa. In Ca_4(Mg,Ti)_3Fe_2As_2O_y with the highest T_c of 47 K in the present study, the T_c keeps almost constant up to ~1 GPa, and starts to decrease above it. From the comparison among several systems, we obtained a tendency that low T_c with the longer a-axis length at ambient pressure increases under pressure, but high T_c with the shorter a-axis length at ambient pressure hardly increases. We also report th…
The non-equilibrium state of the high-Tc superconductor Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+delta and its ultrafast dynamics have been investigated by femtosecond time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy well below the critical temperature. We probe optically excited quasiparticles at different electron momenta along the Fermi surface and detect metastable quasiparticles near the antinode. Their decay through e-e scattering is blocked by a phase space restricted to the nodal region. The lack of momentum dependence in the decay rates is in agreement with relaxation dominated by Cooper pair recombination i…
We use high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy to map the three-dimensional momentum dependence of the superconducting gap in FeSe. We find that on both the hole and electron Fermi surfaces, the magnitude of the gap follows the distribution of $d_{yz}$ orbital weight. Furthermore, we theoretically determine the momentum dependence of the superconducting gap by solving the linearized gap equation using a tight binding model which quantitatively describes both the experimental band dispersions and orbital characters. By considering a Fermi surface only including one electron po…
Competition between superconducting and ferromagnetic ordering at interfaces between ferromagnets (F) and superconductors (S) gives rise to several proximity effects such as odd-triplet superconductivity and spin-polarized supercurrents. A prominent example of an S/F proximity effect is the spin switch effect (SSE) observed in S/F/N/F superconducting spin-valve multilayers, in which the superconducting transition temperature T$_c$ is controlled by the angle $ϕ$ between the magnetic moments of the F layers separated by a nonmagnetic metallic spacer N. Here we present an experimental study of SS…
For orthorhombic superconductors we define thermodynamic anisotropy $N \equiv d T_c/d ε_{22} - dT_c/d ε_{11}$ as the difference in how superconducting $T_c$ varies with strains $ε_{ii}$, $i=(1, 2)$, along the in-plane directions. We study the hole doping ($p$) dependence of $N$ on detwinned single crystals of underdoped YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_y$ (YBCO) using ultrasound technique. While the structural orthorhombicity of YBCO reduces monotonically with decreasing doping over $0.065 <p<0.16$, we find that the thermodynamic anisotropy shows an intriguing enhancement at intermediate doping level, which is…
We discuss the structure of the superconducting gap in iron pnictides. In the itinerant electron picture, gaps with or without nodes have the extended s-wave (s+) symmetry and emerge within the same pairing mechanism, determined by the interplay between intra-pocket repulsion and inter-band pair hopping. If the pair hopping is stronger, the system develops an s+ gap without nodes. In the opposite case the superconductivity is governed by of the momentum-dependent part of the pair-hopping, and an s+ gap shows nodes on electron Fermi surfaces. We argue that the gap without/with nodes emerges in …
We calculate the magnetic-field dependence of the critical current due to both geometrical edge barriers and bulk pinning in a periodic coplanar array of narrow superconducting strips. We find that in zero or low applied magnetic fields the critical current can be considerably enhanced by the edge barriers, but in modest applied magnetic fields the critical current reduces to that due to bulk pinning alone.
Understanding the nature of Cooper pairs is essential to describe the properties of superconductors. The original proposal of Bardeen, Cooper, and Schrieffer (BCS) was based on electrons pairing with same energy and zero center-of-mass momentum. With the advent of new superconductors, different forms of pairing have been discussed. In particular, Cooper pairs with finite center-of-mass momentum have received large interest. Along with such finite-momentum pairs, pairing of electrons at different energies is also central to understanding some superconductors. Here, we investigate the interplay …
We present measurements of the temperature and power dependence of the resonance frequency and frequency noise of superconducting niobium thin-film coplanar waveguide resonators, carried out at temperatures well below the superconducting transition (T_{c}=9.2 K). The noise decreases by nearly two orders of magnitude as the temperature is increased from 120 to 1200 mK, while the variation of the resonance frequency with temperature over this range agrees well with the standard two-level system (TLS) model for amorphous dielectrics. These results support the hypothesis that TLS are responsible f…
In nanocrystalline Nb films, the superconducting Tc decreases with a reduction in the average particle size below 20nm. We correlate the decrease in Tc with a reduction in the superconducting energy gap measured by point contact spectroscopy. Consistent with the Anderson criterion, no superconducting transition was observed for sizes below 8 nm. We show that the size-dependence of the superconducting properties in this intermediate coupling Type II superconductor is governed by changes in the electronic density of states rather than by phonon softening.
The gauge dependence of the renormalization group functions of the Ginzburg-Landau model is investigated. The analysis is done by means of the Ward-Takahashi identities. After defining the superconducting order parameter, it is shown that its exponent $β$ is in fact gauge independent. This happens because in d=3 the Landau gauge is the only gauge having a physical meaning, a property not shared by the four-dimensional model where any gauge choice is possible. The analysis is done in both the context of the $ε$-expansion and in the fixed dimension approach. It is pointed out the differences tha…
We study the concentration dependence of the superconducting critical temperature Tc in a boron-doped diamond. We evaluate the density of states at Fermi level within the dynamical cluster approximation obtaining higher values than from the coherent potential approximation. We discuss the Tc as a function of density of states within the BCS, the McMillan, and the Belitz theory. The simplified Belitz theory gives the best agreement with experimental data. Since the density of states follows a simple power-law for accessible doping concetrations, the present theory offers an analytical formula f…
