Toeplitz-composition C*-algebras for certain finite Blaschke products

Let R be a finite Blaschke product of degree at least two with R(0)=0. Then there exists a relation between the associated composition operator C_R on the Hardy space and the C*-algebra associated with the complex dynamical system on the Julia set of R. We study the C*-algebra generated by both the composition operator C_R and the Toeplitz operator T_z to show that the quotient algebra by the ideal of the compact operators is isomorphic to the C*-algebra associated with the complex dynamical system, which is simple and purely infinite.

Quotient algebras of Toeplitz-composition C*-algebras for finite Blaschke products

Let R be a finite Blaschke product. We study the C*-algebra TC_R generated by both the composition operator C_R and the Toeplitz operator T_z on the Hardy space. We show that the simplicity of the quotient algebra OC_R by the ideal of the compact operators can be characterized by the dynamics near the Denjoy-Wolff point of R if the degree of R is at least two. The C*-algebra generated by irreducible Toeplitz and composition operators

We describe the C*-algebra generated by an irreducible Toeplitz operator $T_ψ$, with continuous symbol $ψ$ on the unit circle $\mathbb{T}$, and finitely many composition operators on the Hardy space $H^2$ induced by certain linear-fractional self-maps of the unit disc, modulo the ideal of compact operators $K(H^2)$. For composition operators with automorphism symbols, we show that this algebra is not isomorphic to the one generated by the shift and composition operators.

Let $ζ$ and $η$ be distinct points on the unit circle and suppose that $ϕ$ is a linear-fractional self-map of the unit disk D, not an automorphism, with $ϕ(ζ)=η$. Essential Spectra of Quasi-parabolic Composition Operators on Hardy Spaces of the Poly-disc

This work is a generalization of the results in [Gul] to bi-disc case. As in [Gul], quasi-parabolic composition operators on the Hilbert-Hardy space of the bi-disc are written as a linear combination of Toeplitz operators and Fourier multipliers. The C*-algebra generated by Toeplitz operators and Fourier multipliers on the Hilbert-Hardy space of the bi-disc is written as the tensor product of the similar C*-algebra in one variable with itself. As a result we find a nontrivial set lying inside the essential spectra of quasi-parabolic composition operators.

An invertibility criterion in a C*-algebra acting on the Hardy space with applications to composition operators

In this paper we prove an invertibility criterion for certain operators which is given as a linear algebraic combination of Toeplitz operators and Fourier multipliers acting on the Hardy space of the unit disc. Very similar to the case of Toeplitz operators we prove that such operators are invertible if and only if they are Fredholm and their Fredholm index is zero. As an application we prove that for "quasi-parabolic" composition operators the spectra and the essential spectra are equal.

Operator algebras for analytic varieties

We study the isomorphism problem for the multiplier algebras of irreducible complete Pick kernels. These are precisely the restrictions $\mathcal M_V$ of the multiplier algebra $\mathcal M$ of Drury-Arveson space to a holomorphic subvariety $V$ of the unit ball $\mathbb{B}_d$.
