It is well-known that thermal leptogenesis through the decays of the lightest right-handed neutrinos encounters serious difficulties when SO(10)-inspired mass conditions are imposed on the Dirac neutrino mass matrix and light neutrino masses are generated through the type I see-saw mechanism. We show that these can be circumvented when the production from the next-to-lightest right-handed neutrinos and flavor effects are properly taken into account. Some conditions on the low energy parameters have to be satisfied in order for inverse processes involving the lightest right-handed neutrino not to wash-out the asymmetry. In particular we find m_1 \gtrsim 0.001 eV, where m_1 is the mass of the lightest left-handed neutrino and that non-vanishing values of the mixing angle theta_13 are preferred in the case of a normal fully hierarchical spectrum of light neutrinos.
We prove that taking correctly into account the lepton flavour dependence of the CP asymmetries and washout processes, it is possible to obtain successful thermal leptogenesis from the decays of the second right-handed neutrino. The asymmetries in the muon and tau-flavour channels are then not erased by the inverse decays of the lightest right-handed neutrino, N_1. In this way, we reopen the possibility of ``thermal leptogenesis'' in models with a strong hierarchy in the right-handed Majorana masses that is typically the case in models with up-quark--neutrino Yukawa unification.
In the baryogenesis via leptogenesis framework the baryonic asymmetry depends on lepton mass matrices. In a previous paper we used SO(10)-inspired mass matrices and we found few possibilities to obtain a sufficient level of asymmetry. In the present paper we use SU(5)-inspired mass matrices, which also allow to check the dependence of the baryonic asymmetry on Dirac neutrino masses. In particular, we find that the large mixing matter solution to the solar neutrino problem, which within SO(10) gives too small asymmetry, can now be favoured.
We study how lepton flavor violation (LFV) is related to the reactor angle $θ_{13}$, LHC/dark matter (DM) signal with a successful leptogenesis in a radiative seesaw model through $A_4$ flavor symmetry breaking, in the light of the deviation of tri-bimaximal mixing (TBM) angles and the recent precision oscillation data. To do this, we consider the normal mass spectrum of light neutrino giving a successful leptogenesis at electroweak (EW) scale or more with a relatively large $\sinθ_{13}\simeq{\cal O}(0.1)$, where a successful leptogenesis requires LHC/DM signal $m_{-}\lesssim$ a few keV in our…
In realistic unified models involving an $SO(10)$-like pattern of Dirac and heavy right-handed (RH) neutrino masses, the lightest right-handed neutrino $N_1$ is too light to yield successful thermal leptogenesis, barring highly fine tuned solutions, while the second heaviest right-handed neutrino $N_2$ is typically in the correct mass range. We show that flavour coupling effects in the Boltzmann equations may be crucial to the success of such $N_2$ dominated leptogenesis, by helping to ensure that the flavour asymmetries produced at the $N_2$ scale survive $N_1$ washout. To illustrate these ef…
Leptogenesis is an attractive scenario in which neutrino masses and baryon asymmetry of the Universe are explained together under a minimal set of assumptions. After formulating the problem of initial conditions and introducing the strong thermal leptogenesis conditions as solution, we show that, within the framework provided by the \soten~model of leptogenesis, the latter lead to a set of testable predictions on the same neutrino parameters currently under experimental investigations. The emerging scenario selects the normal ordering of the neutrino mass pattern, a large value for the reactor…
We study the supersymmetric extension of $SO(10)$-inspired thermal leptogenesis showing the constraints on neutrino parameters and on the reheat temperature $T_{\rm RH}$ that derive from the condition of successful leptogenesis from next-to-lightest right handed (RH) neutrinos ($N_2$) decays and the more stringent ones when independence of the initial conditions (strong thermal leptogenesis) is superimposed. In the latter case, the increase of the lightest right-handed neutrino ($N_1$) decay parameters helps the wash-out of a pre-existing asymmetry and constraints relax compared to the non-sup…
We study thermal leptogenesis in a broad class of supersymmetric SO(10) models with a left-right symmetric seesaw mechanism, taking into account flavour effects and the contribution of the next-to-lightest right-handed neutrino supermultiplet. Assuming M_D = M_u and a normal hierarchy of light neutrino masses, we show that four out of the eight right-handed neutrino mass spectra reconstructed from low-energy neutrino data can lead to successful leptogenesis with a reheating temperature in the (10^9 - 10^10) GeV range. In the remaining four solutions, leptogenesis is dominated by N_2 decays, as…
Encouraged by the recent results from neutrino oscillation experiments, we perform an analytical study of $SO(10)$-inspired models and leptogenesis with hierarchical right-handed (RH) neutrino spectrum. Under the approximation of negligible misalignment between the neutrino Yukawa basis and the charged lepton basis, we find an analytical expression for the final asymmetry directly in terms of the low energy neutrino parameters that fully reproduces previous numerical results. This expression also shows that is possible to identify an effective leptogenesis phase for these models. When we also …
We explore leptogenesis within the E6 inspired U(1) extension of the MSSM in which exact custodial symmetry forbids tree-level flavour-changing transitions and the most dangerous baryon and lepton number violating operators. This supersymmetric (SUSY) model involves extra exotic matter beyond the MSSM. In the simplest phenomenologically viable scenarios the lightest exotic fermions are neutral and stable. These states should be substantially lighter than 1 eV forming hot dark matter in the Universe. The low-energy effective Lagrangian of the SUSY model under consideration possesses an approxim…
In a paper by Asaka, Ishida and Tanaka \cite{hiding}, they proposed a novel possibility (which will be referred to as the AIT ansatz) that, in spite of the Majorana nature of neutrinos, the neutrinoless double beta ($0νββ$) decay can be hidden. In the original AIT model, the AIT ansatz is realized in the minimal seesaw model with two right-handed neutrinos which have a hierarchical mass structure: the lighter and heavier right-handed neutrinos are respectively much lighter and heavier than the typical Fermi-momentum scale of nuclei. However, the original AIT model does not accommodate a succes…
We show that, within SO(10)-inspired leptogenesis, there exists a solution, with definite constraints on low energy neutrino parameters, able simultaneously to reproduce the observed baryon asymmetry and to satisfy the conditions for the independence of the final asymmetry of the initial conditions (strong thermal leptogenesis). We find that the wash-out of a pre-existing asymmetry as large as O(0.1) requires: i) reactor mixing angle in the range θ_13 = (2 - 20) degrees, in agreement with the experimental result θ_13 = (8 - 10) degrees; ii) atmospheric mixing angle in the range θ_23 = (16 - 41…
Upper bounds on the CP asymmetry relevant for leptogenesis are reexamined and found weaker than in previous literature, both for hierarchical and for quasi-degenerate right-handed neutrinos. Successful leptogenesis implies the usual lower bound on right-handed neutrino masses, and an upper bound on left-handed neutrino masses (which we obtain to be 0.15eV at 3sigma) only if right-handed neutrinos are assumed to be much more hierarchical than left-handed neutrinos. Otherwise both bounds can be considerably relaxed. The constraint on light neutrino masses varies assuming different interpretation…
In this short review I discuss how high energy (type I) seesaw models can be nicely embedded within grand-unified models and reproduce the observed matter-antimatter asymmetry with leptogenesis. In particular, after discussing general features and results in leptogenesis, I focus on $SO(10)$-inspired leptogenesis and on a particular solution, the strong thermal $SO(10)$-inspired solution, that provides an interesting way to understand neutrino mixing parameters: the non-vanishing reactor mixing angle, the emerging negative sign of $\sinδ$ and the slight hints favouring normally ordered neutrin…
Successful Soft Leptogenesis (SL) requires a relatively low mass scale for the SU(2) singlet neutrinos of $10^5-10^8$ GeV. However, conventional SL (unflavoured) requires an unnaturally small soft supersymmetry(SUSY)-breaking bilinear $B \ll \mathcal{O}({\rm TeV})$ coupling for successful leptogenesis. On the other hand, in this regime, the interactions mediated by $τ$, $μ$ (and even $e$) charged lepton Yukawa interactions are in equilibrium, making the lepton number asymmetries and the washouts flavour dependent. Hence, it is crucial to take into account the flavour effects. Considering a gen…
We analyze lepton flavour violation (LFV) and the generation of the observed baryon-antibaryon asymmetry of the Universe (BAU) within a generalized minimal lepton flavour violation framework with three quasi-degenerate heavy Majorana neutrinos. The BAU which is obtained through radiative resonant leptogenesis can successfully be generated widely independent of the Majorana scale in this scenario and flavour effects are found to be relevant. Then we discuss the specific case in which CP violation is exclusively present at low-energies (a real R matrix) in the flavour sensitive temperature regim…
We confront recent experimental results on neutrino mixing parameters with the requirements from strong thermal $SO(10)$-inspired leptogenesis, where the asymmetry is produced from next-to-lightest right-handed neutrinos $N_2$ independently of the initial conditions. There is a nice agreement with latest global analyses supporting $\sinδ< 0$ and normal ordering at $ \sim 95\%$ C.L. On the other hand, the more stringent experimental lower bound on the atmospheric mixing angle starts to corner strong thermal $SO(10)$-inspired leptogenesis. Prompted and encouraged by this rapid experimental advan…
An SO(10) grand unified model considered previously by the authors featuring lopsided down quark and charged lepton mass matrices is successfully predictive and requires that the lightest two right-handed Majorana neutrinons be nearly degenerate in order to obtain the LMA solar neutrino solution. Here we use this model to test its predictions for baryogenesis through resonant-enhanced leptogenesis. With the conventional type I seesaw mechanism, the best predictions for baryogenesis appear to fall a factor of three short of the observed value. However, with a proposed type III seesaw mechanism …
We analyze the most general version of the supersymmetric minimal see-saw model with only two right-chiral neutrinos which are degenerate in masses at the scale of Grand Unification. We study the renormalization effects that give rise to non-zero CP asymmetries in the decays of these neutrinos and find that their resonant enhancement due to small mass splitting is partly compensated by other RG effects in the running of the neutrino Yukawa couplings. In spite of this compensation, the CP asymmetries can be large enough for successful thermal leptogenesis. Moreover, they depend very weakly on t…
Seven types of leptogenesis models which can lead to a successful explanation of baryogenesis are presented. Emphasis is put on the conditions which need to be fulfilled by the neutrino masses as well as by the heavy state masses. The model dependence of these conditions is discussed.
We analyze leptogenesis in the context of seesaw models with almost conserved lepton number, focusing on the L-conserving contribution to the flavoured CP asymmetries. We find that, contrary to previous claims, successful leptogenesis is feasible for masses of the lightest heavy neutrino as low as M1 ~ 10^6 GeV, without resorting to the resonant enhancement of the CP asymmetry for strongly degenerate heavy neutrinos. This lower limit renders thermal leptogenesis compatible with the gravitino bound in supersymmetric scenarios.
We examine the compatibility between the Neutrino Option, in which the electroweak scale is generated by PeV mass type I seesaw Majorana neutrinos, and leptogenesis. We find the Neutrino Option is consistent with resonant leptogenesis. Working within the minimal seesaw scenario with two heavy Majorana neutrinos $N_{1,2}$, which form a pseudo-Dirac pair, we explore the viable parameter space. We find that the Neutrino Option and successful leptogenesis are compatible in the cases of a neutrino mass spectrum with normal (inverted) ordering for $1.2 \times 10^6 < M \text{ (GeV)} < 8.8 \times 10^6…
Recent encouraging experimental results on neutrino mixing parameters prompt further investigation on $SO(10)$-inspired leptogenesis and on the associated strong thermal solution that has correctly predicted a non-vanishing reactor mixing angle, it further predicts $\sinδ\lesssim 0$, now supported by recent results at $\sim 95\%$ C.L., normally ordered neutrino masses and atmospheric mixing angle in the first octant, best fit results in latest global analyses. Extending a recent analytical procedure, we account for the mismatch between the Yukawa basis and the weak basis, that in $SO(10)$-insp…
We perform a thermal unflavored leptogenesis analysis on minimal left-right symmetric models with discrete left-right symmetry identified as generalized parity or charge conjugation. When left-right symmetry is unbroken in the lepton Yukawa sector, the neutrino Dirac coupling matrix is completely determined by neutrino masses and mixing angles, allowing CP violation needed to generate leptogenesis totally resides in the low-energy sector. With two lepton asymmetry generation ways, both type I and mixed type I$+$II neutrino mass generation mechanisms are considered. After solving the Boltzmann …
In a temperature dependent CPT-Violating (CPTV) axial time-like background (induced by the Kalb-Ramond tensor field of string theory) we discuss leptogenesis by solving the Boltzmann equation. The current work non-trivially modifies the framework of a previous phenomenological approach by the authors where the CPTV axial background was considered to be a constant (with no microscopic justification). The constant background approximation though is shown to capture the main phenomenological features of leptogenesis. On comparing our analysis to the related chiral magnetic effect for axial current…
We investigate the possibility of low-scale leptogenesis in the minimal supersymmetric standard model extended with right handed (s)neutrinos. We demonstrate that successful leptogenesis can be easily achieved at a scale as low as ~ TeV where lepton number and CP violation comes from soft supersymmetry breaking terms. The scenario is shown to be compatible with neutrino masses data.
We develop an extension of the basic inverse seesaw model which addresses simultaneously two of its drawbacks, namely, the lack of explanation of the tiny Majorana mass term $μ$ for the TeV-scale singlet fermions and the difficulty in achieving successful leptogenesis. Firstly, we investigate systematically leptogenesis within the inverse (and the related linear) seesaw models and show that a successful scenario requires either small Yukawa couplings, implying loss of experimental signals, and/or quasi-degeneracy among singlets mass of different generations, suggesting extra structure must be …
In R parity violating supersymmetry (conserving baryon number B but violating lepton number L), Majorana neutrino masses may arise at tree level, in one loop, and in two loops. The L violating interactions work together with the B + L violating electroweak sphalerons to erase any preexisting B or L asymmetry of the Universe. To have successful leptogenesis nevertheless, a specific scenario is proposed.
We study a seesaw-type extension of the Standard Model in which the symmetry group is enlarged by a global U(1). We introduce adequate scalar and fermion representations which naturally explain the smallness of neutrino masses. With the addition of a viable scalar Dark Matter candidate, an original and successful scenario of leptogenesis emerges.
It is known that realistic neutrino masses for neutrino oscillations may be obtained from R parity nonconserving supersymmetry. It is also known that such interactions would erase any preexisting lepton or baryon asymmetry of the Universe because of the inevitable intervention of the electroweak sphalerons. We now show how a crucial subset of these R parity nonconserving terms may in fact create its own successful leptogenesis.
We study thermal leptogenesis from decays of the electroweak triplets that mediate neutrino masses in type-II and type-III see-saw. We find that Sommerfeld corrections reduce the baryon asymmetry by ~30%, and that successful leptogenesis needs triplets heavier than 1.6 TeV, beyond the discovery reach of LHC.
We study ``soft leptogenesis'', a new mechanism of leptogenesis which does not require flavour mixing among the right-handed neutrinos. Supersymmetry soft-breaking terms give a small mass splitting between the CP-even and CP-odd right-handed sneutrino states of a single generation and provide a CP-violating phase sufficient to generate a lepton asymmetry. The mechanism is successful if the lepton-violating soft bilinear coupling is unconventionally (but not unnaturally) small. The values of the right-handed neutrino masses predicted by soft leptogenesis can be low enough to evade the cosmologi…
We consider the see-saw mechanism for hierarchical Dirac and Majorana neutrino mass matrices m_D and M_R, including the CP violating phases. Simple arguments about the structure of the neutrino mass matrix and the requirement of successful leptogenesis lead to the situation that one of the right-handed Majorana neutrinos is much heavier than the other two, which in turn display a rather mild hierarchy. It is investigated how for the neutrino mixing one small and two large angles are generated. The mixing matrix element |U_{e3}|^2 is larger than 10^{-3} and a characteristic ratio between the br…
We discuss minimal non-supersymmetric models of resonant leptogenesis, based on an approximate flavour symmetries. As an illustrative example, we consider a resonant tau-leptogenesis model, compatible with universal right-handed neutrino masses at the GUT scale, where the required heavy-neutrino mass splittings are generated radiatively. In particular, we explicitly demonstrate, how a minimum number of three heavy Majorana neutrinos is needed, in order to obtain successful leptogenesis and experimentally testable rates for processes of lepton flavour violation, such as mu --> e gamma and mu --…
Instead of creating the observed baryon asymmetry of the universe by the decay of right-handed (RH) neutrinos to left-handed leptons, we propose to generate it dominantly by the decay of the RH neutrinos to RH leptons. This mechanism turns out to be successful in large regions of parameter space. It may work, in particular, at a scale as low as $\sim$~TeV, with no need to invoke quasi-degenerate RH neutrino masses to resonantly enhance the asymmetry. Such a possibility can be probed experimentally by the observation at colliders of a singlet charged Higgs particle and of RH neutrinos. Other me…
We consider a generic model with four gauge singlets which generates successfully the right amount of baryon asymmetry through leptogenesis at the TeV scale. It also reproduces left-handed neutrino masses compatible with present data. In the present work, we perform a study of thermal production mechanisms of the lightest right-handed neutrino $N_{1}$ responsible for the lepton asymmetry taking into account all dominant processes (decays, $ΔL = 1$ and $ΔL=2$ scatterings) by solving the full Boltzmann equations.
Within the Type-I seesaw mechanism, quantum effects of the right-handed (RH) neutrinos in the gravitational background lead to an asymmetric propagation of lepton and anti-leptons which allows a Ricci scalar and neutrino Dirac-Yukawa coupling dependent chemical potential and therefore a lepton asymmetry in equilibrium. At high temperature, lepton number violating scattering processes try to maintain a dynamically generated lepton asymmetry in equilibrium. However, when the temperature drops down, the interactions become weaker, and the asymmetry freezes out. The frozen out asymmetry can act as…
We study leptogenesis in supersymmetric SO(10) models with a left-right symmetric seesaw mechanism, including flavour effects and the contribution of the next-to-lightest right-handed neutrino. Assuming M_D = M_u and hierarchical light neutrino masses, we find that successful leptogenesis is possible for 4 out of the 8 right-handed neutrino mass spectra that are compatible with the observed neutrino data. An accurate description of charged fermion masses appears to be an important ingredient in the analysis.

We show that superstring inspired $E_6$ models can explain both the recently detected excess $eejj$ and $e\ \rm{missing}\ p_T \ jj$ signals at CMS, and also allow for leptogenesis. Working in a R-parity conserving low energy supersymmetric effective model, we show that the excess CMS events can be produced via the decay of exotic sleptons in Alternative Left-Right Symmetric Model of $E_6$, which can also accommodate leptogenesis at a high scale. On the other hand, either the $eejj$ excess or the $e\ \rm{missing}\ p_T \ jj$ excess can be produced via the decays of right handed gauge bosons, but…
We consider a generic type of leptogenesis model which can successfully produce the correct value of the observed baryon number to entropy ratio. The main feature of this model is that it is a simple TeV scale model, a scale accessible in near future machines, with a minimal particle content. Both supersymmetric and non-supersymmetric versions of the model are feasible. This model also gives left-handed neutrino masses compatible with all current data from direct and indirect neutrino experiments.
The minimal seesaw framework, embroiling the Dirac neutrino mass matrix $ M_D $ and the Majorana neutrino mass matrix $ M_R $, is quite successful to explain the current global-fit results of neutrino oscillation data. In this context, we consider most predictive forms of $ M_D $ and $ M_R $ with two simple parameters, respectively. Considering these matrices, we obtain the low energy neutrino mass matrix under type-I seesaw formalism which obeys $ μ-τ$ reflection symmetry and predicts $ θ_{23} = π/4$ and $ δ= \pm π/2 $. In the given set-up, we also evaluate the Baryon Asymmetry of the Univers…
We extend the results of a previous analysis of ours showing that, when both heavy and light flavour effects are taken into account, successful minimal (type I + thermal) leptogenesis with SO(10)-inspired relations is possible. Barring fine tuned choices of the parameters, these relations enforce a hierarchical RH neutrino mass spectrum that results into a final asymmetry dominantly produced by the next-to-lightest RH neutrino decays (N_2 dominated leptogenesis). We present the constraints on the whole set of low energy neutrino parameters. Allowing a small misalignment between the Dirac basis…
We investigate what would be the consequences for leptogenesis of the existence of a charged SU(2)_L singlet scalar delta^+. If such a scalar particle exists, it allows the right-handed neutrinos to couple not only to left-handed lepton and Higgs doublets as in ordinary leptogenesis, but also to a right-handed charged lepton and a delta^+. This provides a new source of leptogenesis which can be successful in a non-resonant way at scales as low as TeV. The incorporation of this scenario in left-right symmetric and unified models is discussed.
We show that the U(1)-prime models linked with the seesaw mechanism at TeV scale can lead to a successful baryogenesis through soft leptogenesis with a resonant behavior in the B parameter. Such a consideration constrains the Z-prime mass to be larger than 2-3 TeV depending on the seesaw scale and the spharelon rate. Together with multi-TeV Z-prime, large sneutrino-antisneutrino mixing and CP violating phenomena required by TeV leptogenesis could be searched for in future colliders by observing the distinct same-sign dilepton--dichargino as well as dislepton--diHiggs signatures.
We study a seesaw-type extension of the Standard Model in which the symmetry group is enlarged by a global U(1). We introduce adequate scalar and fermion representations which naturally explain the smallness of neutrino masses. With the addition of a viable scalar Dark Matter candidate, an original scenario of leptogenesis emerges. We solve the relevant set of Boltzmann equations and show how leptogenesis can be successfully implemented at the TeV scale. The constraints on the scalar mass spectrum are derived and the Dark Matter phenomenology is discussed.
We explain the electron-positron excess reported by the DAMPE collaboration recently in a radiative Dirac seesaw model where a dark $U(1)_X$ gauge symmetry can (i) forbid the tree-level Yukawa couplings of three right-handed neutrinos to the standard model lepton and Higgs doublets, (ii) predict the existence of three dark fermions for the gauge anomaly cancellation, (iii) mediate a testable scattering of the lightest dark fermion off the nucleons. Our model can also accommodate a successful leptogenesis to generate the cosmic baryon asymmetry.
In the supersymmetric standard model of particle interactions, R-parity nonconservation is often invoked to obtain nonzero neutrino masses. We point out here that such interactions of the supersymmetric particles would erase any pre-existing lepton or baryon asymmetry of the universe before the electroweak phase transition through the $B + L$ violating sphaleron processes. We then show how neutrino masses may be obtained in supersymmetry (assuming R-parity conservation) together with successful leptogenesis and predict the possible existence of new observable particles.
We investigate whether successful Gravitational Leptogenesis can take place during an Ekpyrotic contraction phase. Two possible paths by which this can occur are coupling the Ekpyrotic scalar to a gravitational Chern-Simons term, or to a $ U(1) $ gauge field Chern-Simons term. These couplings lead to the production of chiral gravitational waves, which generate a lepton number asymmetry through the gravitational-lepton number anomaly. This lepton asymmetry is subsequently reprocessed by equilibrium sphaleron processes to produce a baryon asymmetry. We find successful Gravitational Leptogenesis …
Several classes of neutrino mass models, which can naturally account for hierarchical masses and the bi-large pattern of neutrino mixing, are constructed from a bottom-up perspective based on the idea of decoupling of one right-chiral neutrino from the seesaw mechanism. The interplay between the predictions for the lepton-flavour violation in the MSSM with universal soft masses and for leptogenesis is studied. In particular, classes of neutrino mass models in which successful leptogenesis implies BR(mu->e gamma) potentially observable in upcoming experiments are identified.
We study variations of the standard leptogenesis scenario that can arise if an additional mass scale related to the breaking of some new symmetry (as for example a flavor or the B-L symmetry) is present below the mass $M_{N_1}$ of the lightest right-handed Majorana neutrino. Our scheme is inspired by U(1) models of flavor à la Froggatt-Nielsen, and involves new vectorlike heavy fields $F$. We show that depending on the specific hierarchy between $M_{N_1}$ and the mass scale of the fields $F$, qualitatively different realizations of leptogenesis can emerge. We compute the CP asymmetries in $N_1…
We study the implications of a successful leptogenesis within the framework of Minimal Lepton Flavour Violation combined with radiative resonant leptogenesis and the PMNS matrix being the only source of CP violation, which can be obtained provided flavour effects are taken into account. We find that the right amount of the baryon asymmetry of the universe can be generated under the conditions of a normal hierarchy of the light neutrino masses, a non-vanishing Majorana phase, sin(theta_{13})>0.13 and m_{nu,lightest}<0.04 eV. If this is fulfilled, we find strong correlations among ratios of char…
We study the connection between absolute neutrino mass and neutrino mixing parameters within $SO(10)$-inspired leptogenesis. We show that current favoured values of the unknown neutrino mixing parameters point toward values of the absolute neutrino mass scale that will be fully tested by cosmological observations and neutrinoless double beta decay experiments during next years. In particular, for $m_{D2}/m_{\rm charm} \leq 5$, where $m_{D2}$ is the intermediate Dirac neutrino mass, and for current best fit values of the Dirac phase $δ$ and the atmospheric neutrino mixing angle $θ_{23}$, we der…
We investigate baryogenesis via leptogenesis and generation of neutrino masses and mixings through the Type I plus Type III seesaw plus an one-loop mechanism in the context of Renormalizable Adjoint SU(5) theory. One light neutrino remains massless, because the contributions of three heavy Majorana fermions ρ_0, ρ_3 and ρ_8 to the neutrino mass matrix are not linearly independent. However none of these heavy fermions is decoupled from the generation of neutrino masses. This opens a new range in parameter space for successful leptogenesis, in particular, allows for inverted hierarchy of the neu…
We have studied extensively phenomenological implications in a specific model of brane inflation driven by background supergravity, via thermal history of the universe and leptogenesis pertaining to the particle physics phenomenology of the early universe. Using the one loop corrected inflationary potential we have investigated for the analytical expression as well as the numerical estimation for brane reheating temperature for standard model particles. This results in some novel features of reheating from this type of inflation which have serious implications in the production of heavy Majora…
