We report on the extrapolation of scalar mass parameters in the lepton sector to reconstruct SO(10) scenarios close to the unification scale. The method is demonstrated for an example in which SO(10) is broken directly to the Standard Model, based on the expected precision from coherent LHC and ILC collider analyses. In addition to the fundamental scalar mass parameters at the unification scale, the mass of the heaviest right-handed neutrino can be estimated in the seesaw scenario.
We describe a new cascade mass reconstruction approach to allow reconstruction of SUSY particle masses in long cascades (five or more particles) at the LHC with integrated luminosity as low as a few fb^(-1). This approach is based on a consecutive use of the endpoint method, an event filter and a combinatorial mass reconstruction method. The endpoint method gives a preliminary estimate of light sparticle masses. An event filter combining the maximum likelihood distributions for all events in the data sample allows suppression of backgrounds and gives a preliminary estimate of heavy sparticle m…
We propose a possibility of spontaneous CP-violation (SCPV) at high scale in a SUSY SO(10) theory. The model is L-R symmetric SUSY SO(10) with \textbf{\noun{10}} and \textbf{126} dimensional Higgs generating fermion masses, and the CP phase is generated through complex VEV of B-L breaking \textbf{126} Higgs . The model can have potential application in explaining $ν$ masses and leptogenesis as well.
In this talk I discuss the problems and virtues of SUSY GUTs in four dimensions. I then show how to solve some of these problems, without foregoing the virtues, by considering an SO(10) SUSY GUT in five dimensions. I discuss gauge coupling unification and neutrino masses. In particular, it is shown that the 5D compactification scale and cutoff scale are determined by fitting the low energy values of the three standard model gauge couplings. Neutrino masses can be accommodated.
A case study will be presented to determine the particle masses and parameters of a specific mSUGRA model at the TESLA Linear Collider with high precision.
The neutrino mass problem in $SU(4) \times SU(2)_{L} \times SU(2)_{R}$ SUSY GUT obtained from the compactification of $E_{8} \times E_{8}$ heterotic string is analyzed. The estimated values of the neutrino masses and mixing angles can explain the experimental data on solar neutrino flux.
Considering that the soft SUSY breaking scalar masses come from a vacuum expectation value of the D-term for an external gauge multiplet, the renormalization of the scalar masses is related to the gauge anomaly. Then, if the external gauge symmetry is anomaly-free and has no kinetic mixing with the other U(1) gauge symmetries, the scalar masses are non-renormalized at all orders assuming that the gaugino masses are negligibly small compared with the scalar masses. Motivated by this, we construct models where the sfermion masses for the first-two generations are much heavier than the other supe…
We describe briefly new program for SUSY masses calculations. The main distinction of our program is that we start to solve the renormalization group equations for soft SUSY breaking parameters for SU(5) SUSY GUT model from Planck scale $M_{PL} = 2.4\cdot 10^{18}$ Gev. Our program works also for large $tan(β)$. We find that for $m_0 \leq 0.5 \cdot m_{1/2}$ the effects of the evolution from Planck scale to GUT scale are very essential. In particular, we find that neutralino even for small $m_0$ is always LSP. We also introduced in our program some parameter of non-universality of the gaugino ma…
We obtain predictions for the neutrino masses, the effective Majorana mass in neutrinoless double beta decay and for the rates of the lepton flavor violating processes $μ\rightarrow e + γ$, $τ\rightarrow e + γ$ and $ τ\rightarrow μ+ γ$ in a SUSY $SU(5) \times T^{\prime}$ Model of flavour, which gives rise to realistic masses and mixing patterns for quarks and leptons.
We discuss a GUT realization of the supersymmetric triplet seesaw mechanism(recently proposed by us in hep-ph/0604083 and further analyzed in hep-ph/0607298) where the exchange of the heavy triplet states generates both neutrino masses and soft SUSY breaking terms.
Cascade decays of Supersymmetric (SUSY) particles are likely to be prolific sources of Higgs bosons at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). In this work, we explore, with the help of detailed simulation, the role of non-universal gaugino masses in the production of the Higgs bosons under SUSY cascades. The analysis is carried out by choosing an appropriate set of benchmark points with non-universal gaugino masses in the relevant SUSY parameter space and then contrasting the resulting observations with the corresponding cases having universal relationship among the same. It is shown that even of da…
Gaugino masses might provide useful information on the underlying scheme of supersymmetry breaking as they are least dependent on the unknown physics between the TeV scale and the high messenger scale of supersymmetry breaking. We discuss the pattern of low energy gaugino masses in various schemes of supersymmetry breaking together with the possibility to determine the gaugino masses at LHC.
We have calculated the two-loop strong interaction corrections to the neutralino pole masses in the DRbar'-scheme in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We have performed a detailed numerical analysis for a particular point in the parameter space and found corrections of a few tenths of a percent. We agree with previously derived analytic formulae for two-loop corrections to fermion masses.
We investigate the effect of supersymmetric (SUSY) threshold corrections on the values of the running quark and charged lepton masses at the GUT scale within the large $\tanβ$ regime of the MSSM. In addition to the typically dominant SUSY QCD contributions for the quarks, we also include the electroweak contributions for quarks and leptons and show that they can have significant effects. We provide the GUT scale ranges of quark and charged lepton Yukawa couplings as well as of the ratios $m_μ/m_s$, $m_e/m_d$, $y_τ/y_b$ and $y_t/y_b$ for three example ranges of SUSY parameters. We discuss how t…
We have calculated the leading Yukawa corrections to the chargino, neutralino and gluino pole masses in the DR-bar scheme in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with the full set of complex parameters. We have performed a numerical analysis for a particular point in the parameter space and found typical corrections of a few tenths of a percent thus exceeding the experimental resolution as expected at the ILC. We provide a computer program which calculates two-loop pole masses for SUSY fermions with complex parameters up to the respective order in pertubation theory.
We investigate squark and gluino pair production at LHC(CMS) for the case of nonuniversal gaugino masses. Visibility of signal by an excess over SM background in $(n \geq 2)jets + E^{miss}_T + (m \geq leptons)$ events depends rather strongly on the relation between LSP, gluino and squark masses and it decreases with the increase of LSP mass. For relatively heavy LSP mass close to squark or gluino masses it is possible to detect SUSY for $(m_{\tilde{q}}, m_{\tilde{g}}) \leq (1 - 1.5)$ TeV.}
Fermion masses and mixing angles are studied in an SUSY $SO(10)\times Δ(48)\times U(1)$ model with small $\tanβ$. Thirteen parameters involving masses and mixing angles in the quark and charged lepton sector are successfully predicted by a single Yukawa coupling and three ratios of VEVs caused by necessary symmetry breaking. Ten relations among the low energy parameters have been found with four of them free from renormalization modifications. They could be tested directly by low energy experiments.
The problem of fermion masses and mixings is discussed in the context of supersymmetric grand unification theories. Some predictive frameworks based on the $SU(5)$, $SO(10)$ and $SU(6)$ models are reviewed. [Based on lectures delivered at the ICTP Summer School on `High Energy Physics and Cosmology', Trieste, Italy, 3-28 July 1995 (to appear on Proceedings), and XIX Int. Conference on {\em Particle Physics and Astrophysics in the Standard Model and Beyond}, Bystra, Poland, 19-26 September 1995]
The horizontal symmetry $U(3)_H$ can greatly help in solving the flavor problems in the supersymmetric grand unification. We consider the $SU(5)\times U(3)_H$ model and show that it leads to the remarkable relations between the fermion mass matrices and the soft SUSY breaking terms. Dangerous supersymmetric contributions to the flavor-changing phenomena are naturally suppressed. The possible extensions to the $SO(10)\times U(3)_H$ model are also outlined.
We review the current best fit values of Higgs boson masses in the Standard Model (SM) and its minimal supersymmetric extension (MSSM) obtained from existing experimental data. We also review the parameters space of the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) and the non-universal Higgs mass model (NUHM1) currently preferred by precision data. Following a Frequentist approach, the experimental data includes electroweak precision observables, B physics observables and the relic density of cold dark matter.
The simplest unified extension of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with bilinear R-Parity violation provides a predictive scheme for neutrino masses which can account for the observed atmospheric and solar neutrino anomalies. Despite the smallness of neutrino masses R-parity violation is observable at present and future high-energy colliders, providing an unambiguous cross-check of the model.
In this talk I discuss the qualitative features of an SO(10) SUSY GUT with an SU(2)x U(1)$^n$ family symmetry. I then describe the global fit of this theory to precision electroweak data [including charged fermion masses and mixing angles]. Finally, the predictions of the model for neutrino masses and mixing are discussed. The most predictive version of the model naturally fits atmospheric neutrino data with maximal $ν_μ\longrightarrow ν_τ$ oscillations and solar neutrino data with small mixing angle MSW $ν_e \longrightarrow ν_{sterile}$ oscillations.
We have calculated the two-loop strong interaction corrections to the chargino pole masses in the DRbar'-scheme in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with complex parameters. We have performed a detailed numerical analysis for a particular point in the parameter space and found corrections of a few tenths of a percent. We provide a computer program which calculates chargino and neutralino masses with complex parameters including the one-loop corrections and all two-loop SQCD effects.
In the minimal SU(5) SUSY GUT $d =5$ operators lead to $p\to K^+ ν$ decay with the proton life time of the order of $10^{28}$ years for the natural choice of the parameters of the theory. This value is in strong contradiction with experimental bound $τ_{p\to Kν} > 10^{32}$ years. $d=5$ operators are induced by colored Higgsino exchanges and are closely (through SU(5) and super symmetry) related to another wrong prediction of SU(5) SUSY GUT: $m_d /m_s = m_e /m_μ$. We demonstrate how in the model where reasonable pattern of quark and lepton masses and CKM mixing angles are obtained proton decay …
We consider neutralino dark matter within the framework of SUSY GUTs with non-universal gaugino masses. In particular we focus on the case of SU(5) with a SUSY breaking F-term in the 1, 24, 75 and 200 dimensional representations. We discuss the 24 case in some detail, and show that the bulk dark matter region cannot be accessed. We then go on to consider the admixture of the singlet SUSY breaking F-term with one of the 24, 75 or 200 dimensional F-terms, and show that in these cases it becomes possible to access the bulk regions corresponding to low fine-tuned dark matter. Our results are prese…
A SUSY SO(10) $\times A_4$ GUT model is constructed for fermion masses and mixing by introducing a minimal set of low dimensional Higgs representations needed to break the guage symmetry down to $SU(3)_c \times U(1)_{em}$. The hierarchy of fermion masses can be understood in the framework of $A_4$ symmetry. From the $A_4$-invariant superpotential, the "double lopsided" mass matrices for the charged leptons and the down quarks are obtained. It is shown that this structure leads to bi-large neutrino mixings simultaneously with small CKM mixing angles. An excellent fit to the masses and mixings o…
We remark that the precision of recent determinations of $α_s(M^2_Z)$ is such that one can get bounds on supersymmetric partner masses (squark and gluino) by requiring consistency of determinations of $α_s$ at "low" energies, where those particles do not contribute, and on the $Z$ peak. For approximately degenerate squarks and gluinos with mass $\widetilde{m}$, we find the bound $\widetilde{m}\geq 173$ GeV, at the $2σ$ level. At the $2.5σ$ level, $\widetilde{m}\geq 121$ GeV.
In Split-Supersymmetry models, where the only non-Standard Model states produceable at LHC-energies consist of a gluino plus neutralinos and charginos, it is conventionally accepted that only mass differences among these latter are measureable at the LHC. The present work shows that application of a simple `Kinematic Selection' technique allows full reconstruction of neutralino and chargino masses from one event, in principle. A Monte Carlo simulation demonstrates the feasibilty of using this technique at the LHC.
After briefly reviewing the nonperturbative dynamics of N=1 supersymmetric field theories, soft SUSY breaking mass terms are introduced into the SUSY gauge theories and their effects on gauge symmetry breaking pattern are studied. For $N_f<N_c$, we include the dynamics of the non-perturbative superpotential and use the original (s)quark and gauge fields. For $N_f>N_c+1$, we formulate the dynamics in terms of dual (s)quarks and a dual gauge group SU(N_f-N_c). The mass squared of squarks can be negative triggering the spontaneous breakdown of flavor and color symmetry. The general condition for …
Within the Minimal Supersymmetric Grand Unified Theory (MSGUT) masses of the predicted supersymmetric particles are constrained by the world averaged values of the electroweak and strong coupling constants, the lower limits on the proton lifetime, the lower limit on the lifetime of the universe, which implies an upper limit on the dark matter density, the electroweak symmetry breaking originating from radiative corrections due to the heavy top quark, and the ratio of the masses of the b-quark and tau-lepton. A combined fit shows that indeed the MSGUT model can satisfy all these constraints simu…
The LHC is already putting bounds on the Higgs mass. In this paper we use those bounds to put constrains on the MSSM parameter space coming from the fact that, in supersymmetry, the Higgs mass is a function of the masses of sparticles, and therefore an upper bound on the Higgs mass translates into an upper bound for the masses for superparners. We show that, although current bounds do not constrain yet the MSSM parameter space from above, once the Higgs mass bound improves big regions of this parameter space will be excluded, putting upper bounds on SUSY masses. On the other hand, for the case…
In this talk we investigate the dark matter prospects for supersymmetric models with non-universal gaugino masses. We motivate the use of non-universal gaugino masses from several directions, including problems with the current favorite scenario, the cMSSM. We then display new corridors of parameter space that allow an acceptable dark matter relic density once gaugino mass universality is relaxed. We finish with a specific string-derived model that allows this universality relaxation and then use the dark matter constraint to make specific statements about the hidden sector of the model.
The MSSM distinguishes itself from other GUT's by a successful prediction of many unrelated phenomena with a minimum number of parameters. Among them: a) Unification of the couplings constants; b)Unification of the masses; c) Proton decay; d) Electroweak symmetry breaking. A combined fit of the free parameters in the MSSM to these low energy constraints shows that the MSSM model can satisfy these constraints simultaneously. From the fitted parameters the masses of the as yet unobserved superpartners of the SM particles are predicted. The 2nd order QCD coupling constant is required to be betwee…
CP violation, fermion masses and mixing angles including that of neutrinos are studied in an SUSY SO(10)$\times Δ(48) \times$ U(1) model with small $tan β$. It is amazing that the model can provide a successful prediction on twenty three observables by only using four parameters. The renormalization group (RG) effects containing those above the GUT scale are considered. Fifteen relations among the low energy parameters are found with nine of them free from RG modifications. They could be tested directly by low energy experiments.
Going beyond the theta function approximation we discuss supersymmetric unification of gauge couplings with exact decoupling of light and heavy particles at energy scales below their masses. We find that the Minimal SUSY model is strongly disfavored while the Missing Doublet Model survives with GUT scale masses rising into the $10^{18}$ GeV region.
In case of the discovery of supersymmetry at the LHC, the goal will be to identify the underlying theory, its fundamental parameters, and the masses of SUSY particles. We followed here the approach to reconstruct the decay chains in SUSY events under the assumption of common intermediate masses. These masses cannot be extracted from each event because of the unmeasured LSP momenta in case of R-parity conservation. But an ensemble of events can be over-constrained, if the decay chains are long enough, such that enough mass constraints are available. Here, we present a new method combining a) a …
Radiatively generated neutrino masses ($m_ν$) are proportional to supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking, as a result of the SUSY non-renormalisation theorem. In this work, we investigate the space of SUSY radiative seesaw models with regard to their dependence on SUSY breaking ($\require{cancel}\cancel{\text{SUSY}}$). In addition to contributions from sources of $\cancel{\text{SUSY}}$ that are involved in electroweak symmetry breaking ($\cancel{\text{SUSY}}_\text{EWSB}$ contributions), and which are manifest from $\langle F^\dagger_H \rangle = μ\langle \bar H \rangle \neq 0$ and $\langle D \rangle = g…
In minimal SUSY GUT models the $R$-parity breaking terms are severely constrained by SU(5) gauge invariance. We consider the particular case where the explicit $R$-parity breaking occurs only via dimension 2 terms of the superpotential. This model possesses only three R-parity breaking parameters. We have studied the predictions of this model for the neutrino masses and mixing angles at the one-loop level within the framework of a radiatively broken unified supergravity model. We find that this model naturally yields masses and mixing angles that can explain the solar and atmospheric neutrino …
The gauge coupling unification is one of main motivations in the split-SUSY scenario, and the existence of the grand unified theories (GUTs) is assumed. We examine how to realize split-SUSY mass spectrum in the context of GUTs and find that the construction of split-SUSY GUTs is by no means straightforward. With R-symmetry breaking sources in the GUT sector, GUT particles play a role of the messengers in the gauge mediation scenario and their contributions to gaugino masses can be sizable. We find the upper bound on soft scalar masses of O(10^{10}) GeV from consistency for constructing the spl…
We discuss the fermion mass problem in SUSY GUTs, including such ideas as texture zeroes, and Georgi-Jarlskog textures. We focus on a specific supersymmetric model based on the gauge group $SU(4)\otimes SU(2)_L \otimes SU(2)_R$. In this model the gauge group is broken to that of the standard model at $10^{16}$ GeV, and supersymmetry is broken at low-energy. The model may be regarded as a ``surrogate SUSY GUT'', and has several advantages over the $SU(5)$ and $SO(10)$ SUSY GUTs, such as the absence of the doublet-triplet splitting problem, and a simpler Higgs sector which does not involve any l…
In a previous paper, we presented a model in which the {\em same} modulus field breaks SUSY and a simple GUT gauge group, and which has {\em dynamical} origins for {\em both} SUSY breaking and GUT scales. In this model, the supergravity (SUGRA) and gauge mediated (GM) contributions to MSSM scalar and gaugino masses are comparable - this enables a realistic spectrum to be attained since GM contribution to the right-handed (RH) slepton (mass)^2 by itself (i.e., neglecting SUGRA contribution to sfermion {\em and} gaugino masses) is negative. But, in general, the SUGRA contribution to sfermion mas…
Constraints from flavour changing neutral currents are discussed in the context of predictive Grand Unified Supersymmetric Theories. Uncertainties in the estimation of their amplitudes are minimized by using a successful mass matrix ansatz which predicts the arbitrary parameters of the Standard Model. Furthermore, Renormalization Group Equations are used in order to express the sparticle masses involved, in terms of the gaugino mass $m_{1/2}$, the universal scalar mass $m_0$ and the trilinear coupling $A$ at the GUT scale. Modifications in the low energy expressions for the squark masses due t…
We compute the two-loop O(as*at) corrections to the Higgs boson masses in supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model with Dirac gaugino masses. We rely on the effective-potential technique, allow for both Dirac and Majorana mass terms for the gluinos, and compute the corrections in both the DRbar and on-shell renormalisation schemes. We give detailed results for the MDGSSM and the MRSSM, and simple approximate formulae valid in the decoupling limit for all currently-studied variants of supersymmetric models with Dirac gluinos. These results represent the first explicit two-loop calculatio…
For the case of the MSSM and the most general form of the NMSSM (GNMSSM) we determine the reduction in the fine tuning that follows from allowing gaugino masses to be non-degenerate at the unification scale, taking account of the LHC8 bounds on SUSY masses, the Higgs mass bound, gauge coupling unification and the requirement of an acceptable dark matter density. We show that low-fine tuned points fall in the region of gaugino mass ratios predicted by specific unified and string models. For the case of the MSSM the minimum fine tuning is still large, approximately 1:60 allowing for a 3 GeV unce…
We extend a fermion mass matrix Ansatz by Giuduce to include neutrino masses. The previous predictions are maintained. With two additional parameters, a large Majorana neutrino mass and a hierarchy factor, we have seven {\it further} low energy predictions: the masses of the neutrinos, the mixing angles and the phase in the leptonic sector. We choose a reasonable hierarchy of Majorana masses and fit the overall mass scale according to a solution of the solar neutrino problem via the MSW mechanism, which is in agreement with the $^{37}Cl$, Kamiokande, and GALLEX data. We then also obtain a cosm…
We investigate the possibility to generate neutrino masses in the context of Split supersymmetric scenarios where all sfermions are very heavy. All relevant contributions coming from the R-parity violating terms to the neutrino mass matrix up to one-loop level are computed, showing the importance of the Higgs one-loop corrections. We conclude that it is not possible to generate all neutrino masses and mixings in Split SUSY with bilinear R-Parity violating interactions. In the case of Partial Split SUSY the one-loop Higgs contributions are enough to generate the neutrino masses and mixings in a…
The muon anomalous magnetic moment $a_μ$ is investigated in the MSSM for $\tanβ\to\infty$. This is an attractive example of radiative muon mass generation with completely different qualitative parameter dependence compared to the MSSM with the usual, finite $\tanβ$. The observed, positive difference between the experimental and Standard Model value can only be explained if there are mass splittings, such that bino contributions dominate over wino ones. The two most promising cases are characterized either by large Higgsino mass $μ$ or by large left-handed smuon mass $m_L$. The required mass sp…
We study phenomenological aspects of supersymmetric SU(5) grand unified theories with non-universal gaugino masses. For large tan beta, we investigate constraints from the requirement of successful electroweak symmetry breaking, the positivity of stau mass squared and the b to s gamma decay rate. In the allowed region, the nature of the lightest supersymmetric particle is determined. Examples of mass spectra are given. We also calculate loop corrections to the bottom mass due to superpartners.
We estimate the bounds on Higgs and sparticle masses and discuss their correlations in the constrained minimal supersymmetric standard model (CMSSM). In our analysis we have applied the present constraints from collider and low energy experiments, as well as the experimental bound on cold dark matter from WMAP. For a given lightest Higgs boson mass, which is expected to be measured with good precision at the LHC, we find important correlations between the Higgs and sparticle masses which allows one to delineate the MSSM model parameters and particle spectra. We have also demonstrated an import…
We extend the Minimum Supersymmetry Standard Model by a non-anomalous family (NAF) U(1)'_{NAF} gauge symmetry. All gauge anomalies are cancelled with no additional exotics other than the three right-handed neutrinos. The FI D-terms associated with the U(1)'_{NAF} symmetry lead to additional positive contributions to slepton squared masses. In a RG invariant way, this thus solves the tachyonic slepton mass problem in Anomaly Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking. In addition, the U (1)'_{NAF} symmetry naturally gives rise to the fermion mass hierarchy and mixing angles, and determines the mass spectr…
We study soft supersymmetry breaking parameters in a supersymmetric unified model which potentially solves the doublet-triplet splitting problem. In the model the doublet-triplet splitting is solved by the discrete symmetry which is allowed to be introduced due to the direct product structure of the gauge group. The messenger fields for the gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking are naturally embedded in the model. The discrete symmetry required by the doublet-triplet splitting makes the gaugino masses non-universal and also induces a different mass spectrum for the scalar masses from the ordin…
We identify several mass patterns, within the framework of N=1 SUGRA with nonuniversal soft breaking masses for the sfermions, which may significantly alter SUSY signals and the current squark-gluino mass limits from the Tevatron. These effects are illustrated in a SO(10) SUSY GUT with an intermediate mass scale, but the conclusions are also valid in SUSY SO(10) models with grand deserts.
We propose a unified explanation for the origin of dark matter and baryon number asymmetry on the basis of a non-supersymmetric model for neutrino masses. Neutrino masses are generated in two distinct ways, that is, a tree-level seesaw mechanism with a single right-handed neutrino, and one-loop radiative effects by a new additional doublet scalar. A spontaneously broken U(1)$^\prime$ brings a $Z_2$ symmetry which restricts couplings of this new scalar and controls the neutrino masses. It also guarantees the stability of a CDM candidate. We examine two possible candidate for the CDM. We also sh…
A spontaneously broken non-Abelian SU(3) family symmetry can generate a realistic form for quark, charged lepton and neutrino masses and mixing angles. It also gives a new solution to the SUSY flavour problem by ensuring near family degeneracy of the soft mass SUSY breaking terms. However the need to generate large third generation fermion masses means that the group must be strongly broken to SU(2) giving significant corrections to the third family squark and slepton masses. We investigate the phenomenological implications of such breaking and show that it leads to new solutions capable of fi…
We introduce a method to extract the right-handed neutrino mass matrix from the Left-Right symmetric seesaw formula and apply it to the study of a simple SUSY SO(10) theory. We find 8 possible solutions for the heavy neutrino spectrum and a richer phenomenology than in the pure type I or type II seesaw mechanism. Leptogenesis is studied in SO(10) and can be accomodated more easily than with the type I dominance.
We construct realistic supergravity models where supersymmetry breaking arises from the $D$-terms of an anomalous $U(1)$ gauge symmetry broken at the Planck scale. The model has the attractive feature that the gaugino masses, the $A$ and $B$ terms and the mass splittings between the like-charged squarks of the first two generations compared to their average masses are all suppressed. As a result, the electric dipole moment of the neutron as well as the flavor changing neutral current effects are predicted to be naturally small. These models predict naturally the expected value of the $μ$-term …
We study the possibility to determine the supersymmetric (SUSY) contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic dipole moment by using ILC measurements of the properties of superparticles. Assuming that the contribution is as large as the current discrepancy between the result of the Brookhaven E821 experiment and the standard-model prediction, we discuss how and how accurately the SUSY contribution can be reconstructed. We will show that, in a sample point, the reconstruction can be performed with the accuracy of ~ 13 % with the center-of-mass energy 500 GeV and the integrated luminosity ~ 500-10…
