Discretization of multidimensional submanifolds associated with Spin-valued spectral problems

We present a large family of Spin(p,q)-valued discrete spectral problems. The associated discrete nets generated by the so called Sym-Tafel formula are circular nets (i.e., all elementary quadrilaterals are inscribed into circles). These nets are discrete analogues of smooth multidimensional immersions in R^m including isothermic surfaces, Guichard nets, and some other families of orthogonal nets.

Discrete asymptotic nets and W-congruences in Plucker line geometry

The asymptotic lattices and their transformations are studied within the line geometry approach. It is shown that the discrete asymptotic nets are represented by isotropic congruences in the Plucker quadric. Integrable discrete nets in Grassmannians

We consider discrete nets in Grassmannians $\mathbb{G}^d_r$ which generalize Q-nets (maps $\mathbb{Z}^N\to\mathbb{P}^d$ with planar elementary quadrilaterals) and Darboux nets ($\mathbb{P}^d$-valued maps defined on the edges of $\mathbb{Z}^N$ such that quadruples of points corresponding to elementary squares are all collinear). We give a geometric proof of integrability (multidimensional consistency) of these novel nets, and show that they are analytically described by the noncommutative discrete Darboux system.

Transformations of Quadrilateral Lattices

Motivated by the classical studies on transformations of conjugate nets, we develop the general geometric theory of transformations of their discrete analogues: the multidimensional quadrilateral lattices, i.e. lattices x: Z^N -> R^M, whose elementary quadrilaterals are planar. Our investigation is based on the discrete analogue of the theory of the rectilinear congruences, which we also present in detail. Geometric discretization of the Koenigs nets

We introduce the Koenigs lattice, which is a new integrable reduction of the quadrilateral lattice (discrete conjugate net) and provides natural integrable discrete analogue of the Koenigs net. We construct the Darboux-type transformations of the Koenigs lattice and we show permutability of superpositions of such transformations, thus proving integrability of the Koenigs lattice. We also investigate the geometry of the discrete Koenigs transformation. In particular we characterize the Koenigs transformation in terms of an involution determined by a congruence conjugate to the lattice.

Integrable discretization of hodograph-type systems, hyperelliptic integrals and Whitham equations

Based on the well-established theory of discrete conjugate nets in discrete differential geometry, we propose and examine discrete analogues of important objects and notions in the theory of semi-Hamiltonian systems of hydrodynamic type. In particular, we present discrete counterparts of (generalised) hodograph equations, hyperelliptic integrals and associated cycles, characteristic speeds of Whitham type and (implicitly) the corresponding Whitham equations. By construction, the intimate relationship with integrable system theory is maintained in the discrete setting.
