The local structure of the manifolds named in the title is described. Although curvature homogeneous, they are not, in general, locally homogeneous. Not all of them are Ricci-flat, which answers an existence question about type III Jordan-Osserman metrics, raised by Diaz-Ramos, Garcia-Rio and Vazquez-Lorenzo (2006).

Noncompactness and maximum mobility of type III Ricci-flat self-dual neutral Walker four-manifolds

It is shown that a self-dual neutral Einstein four-manifold of Petrov type III, admitting a two-dimensional null parallel distribution compatible with the orientation, cannot be compact or locally homogeneous, and its maximum possible degree of mobility is 3. Diaz-Ramos, Garcia-Rio and Vazquez-Lorenzo found a general coordinate form of such manifolds. The present paper also provides a modified version of that coordinate form, valid in a suitably defined generic case and, in a sense, "more canonical" than the usual formulation. A spinor approach to Walker geometry

A four-dimensional Walker geometry is a four-dimensional manifold M with a neutral metric g and a parallel distribution of totally null two-planes. This distribution has a natural characterization as a projective spinor field subject to a certain constraint. Complete k-curvature homogeneous pseudo-Riemannian manifolds

For any k which is at least 2, we exhibit complete k-curvature homogeneous neutral signature pseudo-Riemannian manifolds which are not k+1-affine curvature homogeneous, and hence not locally homogeneous. All the local scalar Weyl invariants of these manifolds vanish. These manifolds are Ricci flat, Osserman, and Ivanov-Petrova.

Mathematical Properties of a Class of Four-dimensional Neutral Signature Metrics

While the Lorenzian and Riemanian metrics for which all polynomial scalar curvature invariants vanish (the VSI property) are well-studied, less is known about the four-dimensional neutral signature metrics with the VSI property. Spin coefficients for four-dimensional neutral metrics, and null geometry

Notation for spin coefficients for metrics of neutral signature in four dimensions is introduced. The utility and interpretation of spin coefficients is explored through themes in null geometry familiar from (complex) general relativity. Four-dimensional Walker geometry is exploited to provide examples and the generalization of the real neutral version of Plebañski's (1975) second heavenly equation to certain Walker geometries given in Law and Matsushita [16] is extended further.

Algebraically Special, Real Alpha Geometries

We exploit the spinor description of four-dimensional Walker geometry, and conformal rescalings of such, to describe the local geometry of four-dimensional neutral geometries with algebraically degenerate self-dual Weyl curvature and an integrable distribution of alpha-planes (algebraically special real alpha-geometry). In particular, we determine the behaviour of (four-dimensional neutral) Walker geometry under conformal rescalings and provide a derivation of the hyperheavenly equation from conformal rescaling formulae.

Almost para-Hermitian and almost paracontact metric structures induced by natural Riemann extensions

In this paper we consider a manifold $(M,\nabla )$ with a symmetric linear connection $\nabla $ which induces on the cotangent bundle $T^*M$ of $M$ a semi-Riemannian metric $\overline g$ with a neutral signature. The metric $\overline g$ is called natural Riemann extension and it is a generalization (made by M. Sekizawa and O. Kowalski) of the Riemann extension, introduced by E. K. Patterson and A. G.
