We demonstrate how CP violation manifests itself in the Higgs sector of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM). Starting with a brief introduction to CP violation in the MSSM and its effects on the Higgs sector, we discuss some phenomenological aspects of the Higgs sector CP violation based on the two scenarios called CPX and Trimixing
In this lectures, we give a review about the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with $R$-Parity Violation because it provides an attractive way to generate neutrino masses, lepton mixing angles in acconcordance to present neutrino data.
We show that all CP violation in the MSSM could originate in the supersymmetry breaking sector rather than the CKM matrix, and discuss the important consequences for $B$-physics.
We briefly review the phenomenological implications of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with explicit radiative breaking of CP invariance in the Higgs sector for the LEP2 and Tevatron colliders.
In order to generate the baryon asymmetry of the Universe sufficiently strong CP violation is needed. It was therefore proposed that at finite temperature there might be spontaneous (transitional) CP violation within the bubble walls at the electroweak phase transition in supersymmetric models. We investigate this question in the MSSM.
The branching ratio for the mu-->e+gamma decay in the framework of the minimal flavour violation in the MSSM is calculated for various regions of the MSSM parameter space. The lepton flavour violation goes through the PMNS mixing matrix. The dependence on tanbeta is studied in comparison with experimental data. The results crucially depend on the mixing angle theta_{13}. Observation of this decay would serve as a manifestation of new physics beyond the SM.
The effective potential in the MSSM at the one-loop level is used to evaluate masses of the neutral Higgs scalars and to study finite-temperature phase transition. The CP violation in the Higgs sector, which is induced by the spontaneous mechanism or by the complex parameters in the MSSM through radiative corrections, is determined at zero and finite temperatures.
We discuss a few new characteristic features of the loop-induced MSSM Higgs-sector CP violation at the LHC based on two scenarios: (i) CPX and (ii) Trimixing.
In the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with complex parameters, supersymmetric loop effects can lead to \emph{CP} violation. We calculate the rate asymmetries of decays of charginos into the lightest neutralino and a $W$ boson on the basis of the most important loop contributions in the third generation squark sectors. It turns out that the \emph{CP} violating asymmetries can be a few per cent in typical regions of the parameter space of the MSSM. These processes would provide very promising channels for probing \emph{CP} violation in the MSSM at future high-energy colliders.
We reanalyze the possibility of CP violation in the Higgs sector of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). Contrary to the result of previous analysis, spontaneous CP violation can not occur by only chargino and neutralino radiative corrections since the vacuum does not stable. Top and stop radiative corrections are crucially needed. However even with this correction there is no experimentally allowed region in \tan β\geq 1. This situation is not remedied even if the stop left-right mixing is included. We also analyze explicit CP violation in the Higgs sector of the MSSM and show th…
We present a comprehensive analysis on the MSSM Higgs sector CP violation at photon colliders including the chargino contributions as well as the contributions of other charged particles. The chargino loop contributions can be important for the would-be CP odd Higgs production at photon colliders. Polarization asymmetries are indispensable in determining the CP properties of neutral Higgs bosons.
By studying the effective potential of the MSSM at finite temperature, we find that CP can be spontaneously broken in the intermediate region between the symmetric and broken phases separated by the bubble wall created at the phase transition. This type of CP violation is necessary to have a bubble wall profile connecting CP conserving vacua, while violating CP halfway and generating sufficient baryon number without contradiction to the experimantal bounds on CP violations. Several conditions on the parameters in the MSSM are found for CP to be broken in this manner.
We prove the strong sensitivity of the gg --> H1 --> gamma.gamma cross section at the Large Hadron Collider on the explicitly CP-violating phases of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, where H1 is the lightest Supersymmetric Higgs boson.
In a minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM) with explicit CP violation a mass of the lightest Higgs boson H_1 in the range 7 GeV} < M_{H_1} < 10 GeV is experimentally allowed by present accelerator limits. In the same scenario a lightest neutralino as light as 2.9 GeV can be a viable dark matter candidate, provided that a departure from the usual GUT relation among gaugino masses is assumed.
We investigate the electroweak phase transition in the presence of a large CP violation in the squark sector of the MSSM. When the CP violation is large, scalar-pseudoscalar mixing of the Higgs bosons occurs and a large CP violation in the Higgs sector is induced. It, however, weakens first-order phase transition before the mixing reaches the maximal. Even when the CP violation in the squark sector is not so large that the phase transition is strongly first order, the phase difference between the broken and symmetric phase regions grows to O(1), which leads to successful baryogenesis, when the…
Recently, it has been found that the tree-level CP invariance of the Higgs potential in the MSSM can be sizeably broken by loop effects due to soft-CP-violating trilinear interactions involving third generation scalar quarks. These soft-CP-violating couplings may be constrained by considering new two-loop contributions to the electron and neutron EDMs. The phenomenological consequences of such a minimal supersymmetric scenario of explicit CP violation at present and future colliders are briefly discussed.
We present the fortran code SusyBSG version 1.1, which computes the branching ratio for the decay B -> Xs gamma in the MSSM with Minimal Flavor Violation. The computation takes into account all the available NLO contributions, including the complete supersymmetric QCD corrections to the Wilson coefficients of the magnetic and chromomagnetic operators.
In the MSSM, the presence of CP phases can have a significant impact on the neutralino relic abundance. These phase effectsare on the one hand due to shifts in the masses, on the other hand due to modifications of the couplings. Typical variations in Omega h^2 solely from modifications in the couplings are of order 10%-100%.
In this work, we study possible new contributions to $ε_{K}$ and $ε_{B}$ in the MSSM with large supersymmetric phases. We show that, in the CMSSM, the constrains coming from the experimental measure of the $b \to s γ$ decay imply that these contributions are too small to be detected in CP violation experiments with the available sensitivity.
The MSSM with explicit CP violation is studied through the di-photon decay channel of the lightest neutral Higgs boson. Through the leading one-loop order H1 --> gammar.gamma is affected by a large number of Higgs-sparticle couplings, which could be complex. Our preliminary scan over the Supersymmetric parameter space shows that more than 50% average deviations are possible, in either direction, in the corresponding branching ratio, with respect to the case of the CP-conserving MSSM. In particular, our analysis shows that in the presence of a light stop (with mass ~ 200 GeV) a CP-violating pha…
A muon collider with controllable energy resolution and transverse beam polarization provides a powerful probe of the Higgs sector in the minimal supersymmetric standard model with explicit CP violation, through s-channel production of Higgs bosons. The production rates and the CP-even and CP-odd transverse-polarization asymmetries are complementary in diagnosing CP violation in the Higgs sector.
In the minimal supersymmetric standard model with explicit CP violation, associated production of the lightest Higgs boson with heavier ones is analyzed. Due to explicit CP violation, the Higgs bosons are no longer CP eigenstates so that both of the heavy Higgs bosons contribute to the process. While the radiative corrections in the Higgs sector turn out to be quite important, the vertex radiative corrections remain small as in the CP conserving theory.
We show that in the multi-Higgs extension of minimal supersymmetric standard model, which has N-pairs of Higgs doublets (called NHMSSM), it is impossible to break CP spontaneously, if we do not allow for fine-tuning relations between parameters. The result holds true even in the presence of spontaneous R-parity breaking.
The CP properties of Higgs bosons can be probed through their s-channel resonance productions via photon-photon collisions by use of circularly and/or linearly polarized backscattered laser photons at a TeV-scale linear e^+ e^- collider. Exploiting this powerful tool, we investigate in detail the Higgs sector of the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model with explicit CP violation.
The muon $g-2$ anomaly is a long-standing discrepancy from its standard model prediction. The recent improved measurement of the fine structure constant makes the electron $g-2$ anomaly very interesting for both sign and magnitude in comparison to the muon $g-2$ anomaly. In order to explain both muon and electron $g-2$ anomalies, we introduce flavor violation in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) as a low energy theory. The lepton flavor violating process $τ\to eγ$ is one the major constraints to explain both $g-2$ anomalies simultaneously emerging from flavor violating terms. We…
The Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with explicit CP violation is studied with the help of the di-photon decay channel of the lightest neutral Higgs boson. Effects of CP violation, entering via the scalar/pseudo-scalar mixing at higher order as well as through the Higgs-sfermion-sfermion couplings at tree-level, are analyzed in the MSSM with and without light sparticles. A light stop may have a strong impact on the decay width and Branching Ratio (BR) of the decay process H_1 -> gamma gamma, whereas other light sparticles have only little influence. In some regions of the MSSM par…
We compute the complete supersymmetric QCD corrections to the Wilson coefficients of the magnetic and chromomagnetic operators, relevant in the calculation of b -> s gamma decays, in the MSSM with Minimal Flavor Violation. We investigate the numerical impact of the new results for different choices of the MSSM parameters and of the scale where the quark and squark mass matrices are assumed to be aligned. We find that the corrections can be important when the superpartners are relatively light, and that they depend sizeably on the scale of alignment. Finally, we discuss how our calculation can …
We analyse a simple RPV extension of the MSSM, with bilinear R-parity violation in the soft terms and vevs, but not between the terms in the superpotential. The model gives two massive neutrinos, and can fit all constraints from neutrino data. We show analytically how to compute the lepton number violating Lagrangian parameters from neutrino masses and mixing angles. Conversely, we numerically vary the bilinear couplings as input parameters to determine the allowed ranges that are consistent with neutrino data. We briefly comment on the implications of our bounds for low energy LFV processes.
At moderate to large tan(beta), it is no longer possible to simultaneously diagonalize the masses of quarks and their couplings to the neutral Higgs bosons. The resulting flavor violations of the form (\bar b_R d_L H) and (\bar b_R s_L H) do not generate large meson-anti-meson mixing amplitudes but do generate large contributes to rare decays such as B_s -> mu mu. Run II of the Tevatron willl probe a large region of interesting MSSM parameter space through this decay channel. This talk is based on results obtained with K.S. Babu and presented in hep-ph/9909476.
Recent results for the leading $\mathcal{O}{\left(α_t^2\right)}$ two-loop corrections to the Higgs-boson masses of the MSSM with complex parameters are presented. The strategy of the Feynman-diagrammatic, analytical calculation is illustrated. Numerical analyses show agreement with a previous result in the limit of real parameters. Furthermore, the newly available dependence on complex MSSM parameters is investigated. Mass shifts by $\approx 1$GeV for different phases underline the importance of this contribution for a precise prediction of the Higgs-boson mass spectrum in the MSSM.
Using the effective potential method, we computed one-loop corrections to the mass matrix of neutral Higgs bosons of the Non-Holomorphic Supersymmetric Standard Model (NHSSM) with explicit CP violation, where the radiative corrections due to the quarks and squarks of the third generation were taken into account. We observed that the non-holomorphic trilinear couplings can compete with the holomorphic ones in CP violating issues for the mass and mixing of the neutral Higgs bosons.
By studying the effective potential of the MSSM at finite temperature, we find that CP can be spontaneously broken in the intermediate region between the symmetric and broken phases separated by the bubble wall created at the phase transition. If CP is violated in this manner, there could be a bubble wall connecting CP conserving vacua and violating CP halfway, which would result in sufficient baryon asymmetry of the universe.
The di-photon decay channel of the lightest Higgs boson is considerd as a probe to explore CP violation in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). The scalar/pseudo-scalar mixing is considered along with CP violation entering through the Higgs-sfermion-sfermion couplings, with and without light sparticles. The impact of a light stop on the decay width and Branching Ratio (BR) is established through a detailed study of the amplitude of the process H1 --> gamma.gamma. The other sparticles have little influence even when they are light. With a suitable combination of other MSSM paramete…
Electroweak baryogenesis depends on the profile of the bubble wall created in the first-order phase transition. It is pointed out that CP violation in the Higgs sector of the MSSM could become large enough to explain the baryon asymmetry. We confirm this by solving the equations of motion for the Higgs fields with the effective potential at the transition temperature. That is, we present an example such that the transitional CP violation is realized and show the possibility that the baryon asymmetry of the universe may be produced, if marginally, by the $τ$ lepton interacting with the wall, wh…
We study the decay of the lightest neutral Higgs boson to a charm quark pair at full one-loop level in the MSSM with non-minimal quark flavour violation (QFV). In the numerical analysis we consider mixing between the second and the third squark generation and all relevant constraints from B meson data are taken into account. It is shown that the full one-loop corrected decay width can be quite sensitive to the MSSM QFV parameters due to large $\tilde c - \tilde t$ mixing and large trilinear couplings. After summarising the theoretical and experimental errors, we conclude that an observation of…
We explore the prospects for observing CP violation in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) with six CP-violating parameters, three gaugino mass phases and three phases in trilinear soft supersymmetry-breaking parameters, using the CPsuperH code combined with a geometric approach to maximize CP-violating observables subject to the experimental upper bounds on electric dipole moments. We also implement CP-conserving constraints from Higgs physics, flavour physics and the upper limits on the cosmological dark matter density and spin-independent scattering. We study p…
We study the phenomenological implications of the Higgs sector CP violation at a photon collider. In our model, the CP violation is radiatively induced by the non-trivial CP phases of the third-generation scalar-quark sector in the MSSM. We re-evaluate the $s$-channel resonance production cross sections and the polarization asymmetries of the neutral Higgs bosons based on the calculation of the mass matrix of the neutral Higgs bosons which is valid for any values of the relevant SUSY parameters. The CP properties of the Higgs bosons can be precisely probed through their $s$-channel resonance p…
Q-balls generically exist in the supersymmetric extensions of the standard model. Taking into account the additional sources of CP violation, which are naturally accomodated by the supersymmetric models, it is shown that the Q-ball matter depends additively on individual CP phases, whereas mass per unit charge in the Q-ball depends only on the relative phases. There are regions of the parameter space where there is no stable Q-ball solution in the CP-conserving limit whereas finite CP phases induce a stable Q-ball.
The CP-violating effects in the neutralino sector of the MSSM can be observed in event-counting type experiments, i.e. without the need of exploiting variables sensitive to beam or neutralino polarization. On the other hand, such CP-odd effects in the chargino sector can be generated only at the loop level. We contrast the two sectors and present results of full one-loop analysis of the CP-odd asymmetry in the non-diagonal chargino pair production in e+e- collisions.
We consider the K^0 - \bar K^0 and B^0 - \bar B^0 mixings in the MSSM with the two-Higgs-doublet scalar sector featuring explicit CP violation, and the Yukawa sector of type II. In the case of strong mixing between CP-odd and CP-even states the existence of light charged Higgs is allowed in the model. The mass splitting Δm_{LS} and the amount of indirect CP violation εare calculated. In the limit of effective low-energy approximation the nonstandard effects are shown to be negligibly small in Δm_{LS} and εfor the K^0-mesons, being almost independent on the charged Higgs boson mass. However, fo…
We study the Higgs sector of the secluded $U(1)'$-extended MSSM (sMSSM) focusing on CP violation. Using the one-loop effective potential that includes contributions from quarks and squarks in the third generation, we search for the allowed region under theoretical and experimental constraints. It is found that the possible region for the electroweak vacuum to exist is quite limited, depending on the parameters in the model. The masses and couplings of the Higgs bosons are calculated with/without CP violation. Even at the tree level, CP violation is possible by complex soft SUSY breaking masses…
We study CP-violating phenomena in the production, mixing and decay of a coupled system of CP-violating neutral Higgs bosons at γγcolliders, assuming a Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) Higgs sector in which CP violation is radiatively induced by phases in the soft supersymmetry-breaking gaugino masses and third-generation trilinear squark couplings. We discuss CP asymmetries in the production and decays of μ^+ μ^-, τ^+ τ^-, {\bar b} b and {\bar t} t pairs. We find large asymmetries when two (or all three) neutral Higgs bosons are nearly degenerate with mass differences comparable t…
We study electroweak baryogenesis and electric dipole moments in the presence of the two leading-order, non-renormalizable operators in the Higgs sector of the MSSM. Significant qualitative and quantitative differences from MSSM baryogenesis arise due to the presence of new CP-violating phases and to the relaxation of constraints on the supersymmetric spectrum (in particular, both stops can be light). We find: (1) spontaneous baryogenesis, driven by a change in the phase of the Higgs vevs across the bubble wall, becomes possible; (2) the top and stop CP-violating sources can become effective; …
We study FCNC and CP violating processes in the MSSM without a new flavour structure (flavour blind MSSM). The low energy parameters are determined by the running of the soft breaking terms from the GUT scale with SUSY phases consistent with the EDM constraints. We find that the CP asymmetry in b -> s gamma can reach large values potentially measurable at B factories, especially in the low BR(b -> s gamma) region. We analyze the SUSY contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon pointing out its impact on the b -> s gamma CP asymmetry and on the SUSY spectrum.
We discuss the generation of the baryon asymmetry by a strong first order electroweak phase transition in the early universe, particularly in the context of the MSSM. This requires a thorough numerical treatment of the bubble wall profile in the case of two Higgs fields. CP violating complex particle masses varying with the Higgs field in the wall are essential. Since in the MSSM there is no indication of spontaneous CP violation around the critical temperature (contrary to the NMSSM) we have to rely on standard explicit CP violation. Using the WKB approximation for particles in the plasma we …
We present an analysis of low energy CP violating observables in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We focus on the predictions of CP violation in b -> s transitions in the framework of a flavor blind MSSM, where the CKM matrix remains the only source of flavor violation, but additional CP violating phases are introduced in the soft SUSY breaking sector. We find large and strongly correlated effects in Delta F = 0 observables like the electric dipole moments (EDMs) of the electron and the neutron, as well as in Delta F = 1 observables like the time dependent CP asymmetries in B …
We compute the decay width of $h^0 \to c \bar{c}$ in the MSSM with quark flavor violation (QFV) at full one-loop level adopting the $\overline{\rm DR}$ renormalisation scheme. We study the effects of $\tilde{c}-\tilde{t}$ mixing, taking into account the constraints from the B meson data. We show that the full one-loop corrected decay width $Γ(h^0 \to c \bar{c})$ is very sensitive to the MSSM QFV parameters. In a scenario with large $\tilde{c}_{L,R}-\tilde{t}_{L,R}$ mixing $Γ(h^0 \to c \bar{c})$ can differ up to $\sim \pm 35\%$ from its SM value. After estimating the uncertainties of the width,…
Additional sources of CP violation in the MSSM may affect B-meson mixings and decays, even in scenarios with minimal flavour violation (MFV). We formulate the maximally CP-violating and minimally flavour-violating (MCPMFV) variant of the MSSM, which has 19 parameters, including 6 phases that violate CP. We then develop a manifestly flavour-covariant effective Lagrangian formalism for calculating Higgs-mediated FCNC observables in the MSSM at large tan(beta), and analyze within the MCPMFV framework FCNC and other processes involving B mesons. We include a new class of dominant subleading contri…
We compute the width of the decay $h^0$ (125 GeV) $\to b \bar{b}$ at next-to-leading order in the general MSSM with quark-flavour violation (QFV). We study the effect of mixing between the second and the third generation of squarks, taking into account the constraints on QFV from B-meson data. We discuss the renormalisation of the process as well as the resummation of the bottom Yukawa coupling at large $\tan β$. We show numerical results on the decay width $Γ(h^0 \to b \bar{b})$ as a function of the involved QFV parameters and compare them with the corresponding width in the Standard Model.
We consider charged Lepton Flavour Violation (LFV) in the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, extended to include the see-saw mechanism with Constrained Sequential Dominance (CSD), where CSD provides a natural see-saw explanation of tri-bimaximal neutrino mixing. When charged lepton corrections to tri-bimaximal neutrino mixing are included, we discover characteristic correlations among the LFV branching ratios, depending on the mass ordering of the right-handed neutrinos, with a pronounced dependence on the leptonic mixing angle $θ_{13}$ (and in some cases also on the Dirac CP p…
In this work we explore a lepton flavor violation effect induced at one loop for a flavor structure in an extended minimal standard supersymmetric model, considering an ansatz for the trilinear term. In particular we find a finite expression which will show the impact of this phenomena in the $h\to μτ$ decay, produced by a mixing in the trilinear coupling of the soft supersymmetric Lagrangian.
We study the constraints of the CP violation in the muon $g-2$ preferred region of the minimal supersymmetric standard model assuming a universal slepton masses within first two generations. We present two particular scenarios where the $g-2$ anomaly is predicted within 2 $σ$ level mainly through the chargino loop or the bino loop. We found that for both cases the electron EDM experiment already highly constrained the CP phase of the parameters: either the Arg[$μM_1]$ or Arg[$μM_2]$ should be smaller than $\mathcal O$(2-3)$\times10^{-5}$. If the muon $g-2$ anomaly is explained by the MSSM, a p…
We compute one-loop corrections to the mass matrix of the neutral Higgs bosons of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with explicit CP violation. We use the effective potential method, allowing for arbitrary splitting between squark masses. We include terms O(g^2 h^2), where g and h stand for electroweak gauge and Yukawa couplings, respectively. Leading two-loop corrections are taken into account by means of appropriately defined running quark masses.
The leading corrections to electroweak precision observables in the MSSM with non-minimal flavor violation (NMFV) are calculated and the effects on M_W and sin^2 theta_eff are analyzed. The corrections are obtained by evaluating the full one-loop contributions from the third and second generation scalar quarks, including the mixing in the scalar top and charm, as well as in the scalar bottom and strange sector. Furthermore the leading corrections to the mass of the lightest MSSM Higgs boson, m_h, is obtained. The electroweak one-loop contribution to M_W can amount up to 140 MeV and up to 70x10…
We analysed the sensitivity of the process gg to H_1 to gamma-gamma to the explicitly CP-violating phases phi_mu and phi_{A_f} in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), where H_1 is the lightest Supersymmetric Higgs boson. We conclude that depending on these phases, the overall production and decay rates of H_1 can vary up to orders of magnitude compared to the CP-conserving case.
Extending previous results obtained in the effective-potential approach, we derive analytic expressions for the pole masses of the charged and neutral Higgs bosons in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with explicit CP violation. In such a minimal supersymmetric model, the CP invariance of the Higgs potential is explicitly broken by quantum effects dominated by third-generation squarks at the one-loop level and by one-loop gluino- and higgsino-mediated threshold corrections to the top- and bottom-quark Yukawa couplings at the two-loop level. Field-theoretic issues arising in the …
In the MSSM with complex parameters loop corrections to the decays $H^+ \to t \bar{b}$ and $H^- \to \bar{t} b$ with $t \to b W$ and $W \to l ν$ lead to CP-violating asymmetries: a decay rate asymmetry, a forward-backward asymmetry and an energy asymmetry. We derive explicit formulas for them and perform a detailed numerical analysis. We study the dependence on the parameters and the phases involved. In particular, the influence of the running Yukawa coupling is taken into account. The decay rate asymmetry can go up to 25%, the forward-backward and the energy asymmetry up to 10%.
The CP-violating effects to the subprocess $gg\to H^+H^-$ is studied in the mSUGRA scenario at the CERN LHC, by taking into account the experimental bounds of electron and neutron EDM's. The CP violation effects in this process are related to the complex phases of $μ$ and $A_{f}$ in the mSUGRA scenario. In our calculation we consider small CP phases of $μ$ and $A_{f}$ and neglect the effects of neutral Higgs bosons mixing. In this case the CP effects to the process mainly come from the complex couplings of Higgs-squark-squark. We find a strong dependence of charged Higgs boson pair production …
We investigate the constraints on flavour-changing neutral heavy Higgs-boson decays H-> b \bar s from b -> s gamma bounds on the flavour-mixing parameters of the MSSM with non-minimal flavour violation (NMFV). In our analysis we include the contributions from the SM and new physics due to general flavour mixing in the squark mass matrices. We study the case of one and two non-zero flavour-mixing parameters and find that in the latter case the interference can raise the Higgs flavour-changing branching ratios by one or two orders of magnitude with respect to previous predictions based on a sing…
In this article we present the complete resummation of the leading chirally-enhanced corrections stemming from gluino-squark, chargino-sfermion and neutralino-sfermion loops in the MSSM with non-minimal sources of flavor-violation. We compute the finite renormalization of fermion masses and the CKM matrix induced by chirality-flipping self-energies. In the decoupling limit Msusy>>v, which is an excellent approximation to the full theory, we give analytic results for the effective gaugino(higgsino)-fermion-sfermion and the Higgs-fermion-fermion vertices. Using these vertices as effective Feynma…
In this article I review some connections between flavor physics and collider physics. The first part discusses the effect of right-handed charged currents on the determination of the CKM elements V_ub. It is shown that such an effective right-handed W-coupling can be generated in the MSSM which would lead to a sizable enhancement of single-top production at the LHC. The second part of this article focuses on the constraints on the mass splitting between left-handed squarks from Kaon and D mixing. Such a mass splitting has interesting consequences for squark decay chains at colliders.
