Reflecting Magnon Bound States

In N=4 super Yang-Mills spin chain, we compute reflection amplitudes of magnon bound-state off giant graviton. We first compute the reflection amplitude off Y=0 brane boundary and compare it with the scattering amplitude between two magnon bound-states in the bulk. We find that analytic structure of the two amplitudes are intimately related each other: the boundary reflection amplitude is a square-root of the bulk scattering amplitude. On the reflection of magnon bound states

We investigate the reflection of two-particle bound states of a free open string in the light-cone AdS_5 x S^5 string sigma model, for large angular momentum J=J_56 and ending on a D7 brane which wraps the entire AdS_5 and a maximal S^3 of S^5. We use the superspace formalism to analyse fundamental and two-particle bound states in the cases of supersymmetry-preserving and broken-supersymmetry boundaries. We find the boundary S-matrices corresponding to bound states both in the bulk and on the boundary.

Reflecting magnons from D7 and D5 branes

We obtain the reflection matrices for the scattering of elementary magnons from certain open boundaries, corresponding to open strings ending on D7 and D5 branes in $AdS_5\times S^5$. In each case we consider two possible orientations for the vacuum state. We show that symmetry arguments are sufficient to determine the reflection matrices up to at most two unknown functions. The D7 reflection matrices obey the boundary Yang Baxter-Equation. This is automatic for one vacuum orientation, and requires a natural choice of ratio between two unknowns for the other. Anomalous Dimensions of Heavy Operators from Magnon Energies

We study spin chains with boundaries that are dual to open strings suspended between systems of giant gravitons and dual giant gravitons. The anomalous dimensions computed in the gauge theory are in complete quantitative agreement with energies computed in the dual string theory. The comparison makes use of a description in terms of magnons, generalizing results for a single maximal giant graviton. Reflecting magnons

We study the worldsheet reflection matrix of a string attached to a D-brane in $AdS_5 \times S^5$. The D-brane corresponds to a maximal giant graviton and it wraps an $S^3$ inside $S^5$. In the gauge theory, the open string is described by a spin chain with boundaries. We study an open string with a large SO(6) charge, which allows us to focus on one boundary at a time and to define an asymptotic boundary reflection matrix. Some semi-classical issues in boundary sine-Gordon model

The semi-classical quantisation of the two lowest energy static solutions of boundary sine-Gordon model is considered. A relation between the Lagrangian and bootstrap parameters is established by comparing their quantum corrected energy difference and the exact one. This relation is also confirmed by studying the semi-classical limit of soliton reflections on the boundary.
