Let $\tilde{\mathfrak g}$ be an affine Lie algebra of type $A_\ell^{(1)}$. Suppose we're given a $\mathbb Z$-gradation of the corresponding simple finite-dimensional Lie algebra ${\mathfrak g}={\mathfrak g}_{-1}\oplus{\mathfrak g}_0 \oplus {\mathfrak g}_1$; then we also have the induced $\mathbb Z$-gradation of the affine Lie algebra $$\tilde{\mathfrak g}=\tilde{\mathfrak g}_{-1} \oplus \tilde{\mathfrak g}_0 \oplus \tilde{\mathfrak g}_1.$$
Let $L(Λ)$ be a standard module of level 1. Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspace $W(Λ)$ is the $\tilde{\mathfrak g}_1$-submodule of $L(Λ)$ generated by the highest-weight vector $v_Λ$, $$W(Λ)=U(\tilde{\mathfrak g}_1)\cdot v_Λ\subset L(Λ).$$ We find a combinatorial basis of $W(Λ)$ given in terms of difference and initial conditions. Linear independence of the generating set is proved inductively by using coefficients of intertwining operators. A basis of $L(Λ)$ is obtained as an ``inductive limit'' of the basis of $W(Λ)$.

We construct particle basis for Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspaces of level $1$ standard $\tilde{\mathfrak{sl}}_{\ell+1}(\mathbb{C})$-modules. From the description we obtain character formulas.
In this paper we construct combinatorial bases of Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspaces of standard modules for level $k$ affine Lie algebra $C_\ell^{(1)}$. We prove spanning by using annihilating field $x_θ(z)^{k+1}$ of standard modules. In the proof of linear independence we use simple currents and intertwinining operators whose existence is given by fusion rules.
We give an alternative proof of the main result of the paper http://arxiv.org/abs/math/0112104, the proof relies on Brion's theorem about convex polyhedra. The result itself can be viewed as a formula for the character of the Feigin-Stoyanovsky subspace of an integrable irreducible representation of the affine Lie algebra $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}_n}(\mathbb{C})$. Our approach is to assign integer points of a certain polytope to the vectors comprising a monomial basis of the subspace and then compute the character via (a variation of) Brion's theorem.
Let $\gtl$ be an affine Lie algebra of type $D_{\ell}^{(1)}$ and $L(Λ)$ its standard module with a highest weight vector $v_Λ$. For a given $\Z$-gradation $\gtl = \gtl_{-1} + \gtl_0 + \gtl_1$, we define Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspace as $$W(Λ) = U(\gtl_1) \cdot v_Λ.$$ By using vertex operator relations for standard modules we reduce the Ponicaré-Brikhoff-Witt spanning set of $W(Λ)$ to a basis and prove its linear independence by using Dong-Lepowsky intertwining operators.
We use combinatorial description of bases of Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspaces of standard modules of level 1 for affine Lie algebras of types $A_\ell^{(1)}$ and $D_4^{(1)}$ to obtain character formulas. These descriptions naturally lead to systems of recurrence relations for which we also find solutions.
Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspace $W(Λ)$ of a standard $\tilde{\mathfrak g}$-module $L(Λ)$ is a $\tilde{\mathfrak g}_1$-submodule of $L(Λ)$ generated by the highest-weight vector $v_Λ$, where $\tilde{\mathfrak g}_1$ is a certain commutative subalgebra of $\tilde{\mathfrak g}$. Based on the description of basis of $W(Λ)$ for $\tilde{\mathfrak g}$ of type $C_\ell^{(1)}$, we give a presentation of this subspace in terms of generators and relations $$W(Λ)\simeq U(\tilde{\mathfrak g}_1^-)/J.$$
Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspaces for affine Lie algebras of type $C_\ell^{(1)}$ have monomial bases with a nice combinatorial description. We describe bases of whole standard modules in terms of semi-infinite monomials obtained as "a limit of translations" of bases for Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspaces.
By using the known description of combinatorial bases for Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspaces of standard modules for affine Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}(l+1,\mathbb{C})^{\widetilde{}}$, as well as certain intertwining operators between standard modules, we obtain exact sequences of Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspaces at fixed level $k$. This directly leads to systems of recurrence relations for formal characters of those subspaces.
We study several families of vertex operator superalgebras from a jet (super)scheme point of view. We provide new examples of vertex algebras which are "chiralizations" of their Zhu's Poisson algebras $R_V$. Our examples come from affine $C_\ell^{(1)}$-series vertex algebras ($\ell \geq 1$), certain $N=1$ superconformal vertex algebras, Feigin-Stoyanovsky principal subspaces, Feigin-Stoyanovsky type subspaces, graph vertex algebras $W_Γ$, and extended Virasoro vertex algebra. We also give a counterexample to the chiralization property for the $N=2$ superconformal vertex algebra of central char…
We construct new monomial quasi-particle bases of Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspaces for affine Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}(3,\mathbb{C})^{\widetilde{}}$ from which the known fermionic-type formulas for $(k,3)$-admissible configurations follow naturally. In the proof we use vertex operator algebra relations for standard modules and coefficients of intertwining operators.
We use vertex operator algebras and intertwining operators to study certain substructures of standard $A_1^{(1)}$--modules, allowing us to conceptually obtain the classical Rogers--Ramanujan recursion. As a consequence we recover Feigin-Stoyanovsky's character formulas for the principal subspaces of the level 1 standard $A_1^{(1)}$--modules.
Certain combinatorial bases of Feigin-Stoyanovsky's type subspaces of level k standard modules for affine Lie algebra sl(r,C)\sptilde are parametrized by (k,r)-admissible configurations. In this note we use Capparelli-Lepowsky-Milas' method to give a new proof of linear independence of these bases, the main ingredient in the proof being the use of Dong-Lepowsky's intertwining operators for fundamental sl(r,C)\sptilde-modules.
By using the ideas of Feigin and Stoyanovsky and Calinescu, Lepowsky and Milas we introduce and study the principal subspaces associated with the Etingof-Kazhdan quantum affine vertex algebra of integer level $k\geqslant 1$ and type $A_1^{(1)}$. We show that the principal subspaces possess the quantum vertex algebra structure, which turns to the usual vertex algebra structure of the principal subspaces of generalized Verma and standard modules at the classical limit. Moreover, we find their topological quasi-particle bases which correspond to the sum sides of certain Rogers-Ramanujan-type iden…
This is the first in a series of papers in which we study vertex-algebraic structure of Feigin-Stoyanovsky's principal subspaces associated to standard modules for both untwisted and twisted affine Lie algebras. A key idea is to prove suitable presentations of principal subspaces, without using bases or even ``small'' spanning sets of these spaces. In this paper we prove presentations of the principal subspaces of the basic A_1^(1)-modules. These convenient presentations were previously used in work of Capparelli-Lepowsky-Milas for the purpose of obtaining the classical Rogers-Ramanujan recurs…
In this paper we construct bases of standard (i.e. integrable highest weight) modules $L(Λ)$ for affine Lie algebra of type $B_2\sp{(1)}$ consisting of semi-infinite monomials. The main technical ingredient is a construction of monomial bases for Feigin-Stoyanovsky type subspaces $W(Λ)$ of $L(Λ)$ by using simple currents and intertwining operators in vertex operator algebra theory. By coincidence $W(kΛ_0)$ for $B_2\sp{(1)}$ and the integrable highest weight module $L(kΛ_0)$ for $A_1\sp{(1)}$ have the same parametrization of combinatorial bases and the same presentation $\mathcal P/\mathcal I$\…
We consider two different methods of associating vertex algebraic structures with the level $1$ principal subspaces for $U_q (\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2)$. In the first approach, we introduce certain commutative operators and study the corresponding vertex algebra and its module. We find combinatorial bases for these objects and show that they coincide with the principal subspace bases found by B. L. Feigin and A. V. Stoyanovsky. In the second approach, we introduce the, so-called nonlocal $\underline{\mathsf{q}}$-vertex algebras, investigate their properties and construct the nonlocal $\underl…
This is the first of a series of papers studying combinatorial (with no ``subtractions'') bases and characters of standard modules for affine Lie algebras, as well as various subspaces and ``coset spaces'' of these modules. In part I we consider certain standard modules for the affine Lie algebra $\ga,\;\g := sl(n+1,\C),\;n\geq 1,$ at any positive integral level $k$ and construct bases for their principal subspaces (introduced and studied recently by Feigin and Stoyanovsky [FS]). The bases are given in terms of partitions: a color $i,\;1\leq i \leq n,$ and a charge $s,\; 1\leq s \leq k,$ are a…
