High Tc superconductivity mechanism controlled by electric dipole correlation and charge correlation

The model is based on a mirror symmetry breaking second order phase transition leading to a pairing between a free charge carriers and a free mirror charge carriers. This approach gives a unified description of low and high Tc superconductivity with a point of view differing from that of BCS theory.The material's crystal structure symmetry is the key to understand the mechanism of pairing by introducing a mirror plane polarization effect in lattice as it is described below.

Dipole Interaction in Triplet Superconductivity with Horizontal Line Nodes; Orientation of the Superconducting Order Parameter in Sr2RuO4

Dipole interaction in the triplet superconductivity is studied. If the Cooper pairs are formed by the electrons at $\mib{r}$ and $\mib{r}+(\pm\frac{a}{2},\pm\frac{a}{2},\pm\frac{c}{2})$ in the body centered tetragonal lattice, (in this case the line nodes run horizontally on the cylindrical Fermi surface), the dipole energy is low when the ${\mib{d}}$-vector is perpendicular to the direction of the angular momentum of the Cooper pairs ($\mib{l}$-vector). Multiple-gap structure in electric-field-induced surface superconductivity

Local superconducting gap structure is studied as a function of nanoscale depth in electric-field-induced surface superconductivity such as in SrTiO3. We examine solutions of Bogoliubov-de Gennes equation in two limiting confinement potential cases of electric field with and without screening effects. As unique properties different from bulk superconductivity, there appear in-gap states even for isotropic s-wave pairing, due to multiple gap structure of sub-band dependent surface superconductivity. These determine the depth-dependence of local superconductivity.

Nanoengineered magnetic-field-induced superconductivity

The perpendicular critical fields of a superconducting film have been strongly enhanced by using a nanoengineered lattice of magnetic dots (dipoles) on top of the film. Magnetic-field-induced superconductivity is observed in these hybrid superconductor / ferromagnet systems due to the compensation of the applied field between the dots by the stray field of the dipole array. By switching between different magnetic states of the nanoengineered field compensator, the critical parameters of the superconductor can be effectively controlled.

Roles of paramagnetic and diamagnetic pair-breaking effects in superconductivity in electric-field-induced surface metallic state are studied by Bogoliubov-de Gennes equation, when magnetic fields are applied parallel to the surface. The impact of the electric field on superconductivity in the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau theory

In this letter, we address the impact of the electric field on superconductors which are insulators in the normal state, superconducting semiconductors at low carrier concentration and ultracold gas of fermions in the strongly interacting regime. The electric field penetrates these systems and affects on the Cooper pairs. Electric field effect on superconductivity at complex oxide interfaces

We examine the enhancement of the interfacial superconductivity between LaAlO$_{3}$ and SrTiO$_{3}$ by an effective electric field. Through the breaking of inversion symmetry at the interface, we show that a term coupling the superfluid density and an electric field can augment the superconductivity transition temperature. Microscopically, we show that an electric field can also produce changes in the carrier density by relating the measured capacitance to the density of states. Through the electron-phonon induced interaction in bulk SrTiO$_{3}$, we estimate the transition temperature.

Effect of an electric field on the surface superconductivity

We discuss an effect of the electrostatic field on superconductivity near the surface. First, we use the microscopic theory of de Gennes to show that the electric field changes the boundary condition for the Ginzburg-Landau function. Second, the effect of the electric field is evaluated in the vicinity of $H_{\rm c3}$, where the boundary condition plays a crucial role. We predict that the field effect on the surface superconductivity leads to a discontinuity of the magnetocapacitance.
